Junior and Willie were on their way to the area the treasure map was leading them to.
"A cave?" Willie asked.
"What's the matter, scared?" Junior asked with a smirk.
"I'm not scared!" Willie retorted and walked ahead of a Junior.
"Wait for me!" Junior swam after him, the two swam up to the surface where someone seemed to be waiting.
"Hello…" A man in a red cloak with a hood grumbled with a sharp toothy grin.
"Where is the treasure?!" Junior demanded. "It's mine!"
"It will be yours… The thing is… I haven't made it yet…" The imp grinned.
"What?! We did all that work for nothing?!" Junior growled.
"Mostly me!" Willie scolded.
"Now, now, I just need the special ingredient." The imp chuckled.
"What is it?" Junior asked.
"Smurfs, if you bring them to me they will give me the special ingredient." The imp grinned.
Junior laughed out loud.
"Smurfs are not real! They are just a myth!" Junior laughed out loud. "Plus they are blue! Why would they have ingredients for gold?!"
"Don't ask questions!" The imp growled. "Just bring them to me! Six should be enough… And they will be willing to give me and only me the ingredients. Once I make enough gold you can have a quarter of it!"
Junior's eyes turned into dollar signs.
"But where can I find them?" Junior asked.
"On land." The imp grinned.
"Sure, I will find them and ask them to come." Junior smiled.
"And don't tell them why you came." The imp added.
"What?! How many rules are there?!" Junior protested.
"One more thing… if you two back out for any reason…" The imp took out his clawed hand and gently pointed at Junior and Willie's necks and pretended to make a cut.
"What?!" Junior and Willie both gasped in horror.
"You heard me and you have to do this in six months." The imp laughed out loud. "Happy hunting!"
"What do we do now?!" Junior asked.
"You ask me, Mr. Clever!" Willie insulted.
"We will find a way out of this, I swear." Junior pleaded.
"We better." Willie scowled.
"Let's swim up to the surface, there are bound to be Smurfs up there…" Junior grabbed Willie and swamp up the surface. Suddenly a whirlpool came and swept them away.
Meanwhile Brainy Smurf came to consciousness and began looking around frantically. He found himself on a desert island. He began panicking, wondering how he would survive.
"I knew it was a bad idea! If I smurf out here Dreamy is to blame!" Brainy growled.
"Aw Brainy." Brainy heard the familiar southern accent. "Dreamy didn't mean for us ta crash."
"Great, just the Smurf I wanted to be stranded with." Brainy groaned as he rolled his eyes. This hurt Clumsy's feelings but he stayed quiet. He knew Brainy didn't mean it.
Meanwhile Junior, an orange snork woke up on another part of the island, next to him was his younger brother Willie.
"Willie, wake up!" Junior shook his brother.
"Where are we?!" Willie gasped.
"We're on an island." Junior said as he looked around. Willie panicked a little, he then rushed to the nearest shoreline and dove into the water, the waves were so intense it tossed Willie right back to the shore.
"Willie!" Junior rushed over and helped his brother up.
"I wanna go home!" Willie whimpered.
"We can't go home yet." Junior said as he patted his brother's head. "Besides, what do you expect me to do about it?"
"I guess nothing, you are a chickenfish." Willie scoffed.
"Hey! I'm not!" Junior retorted. "I will get us home safely!"
Meanwhile Brainy was trying to build a boat out of driftwood but he was failing miserably. He could do okay with machines but not functional non electrical items.
"Brainy, let me help." Clumsy pleaded.
"No, Clumsy. You can just… Go over there." Brainy motioned him to sit under a palm tree. Clumsy sighed and obeyed.
About an hour later, Junior and Willoe decided to explore the woods. They were not used to eating land plants but they were on the search for something edible.
The two soon heard rustling in the bushes.
"What is that?!" Willie asked.
"Stay back." Junior gently pushed Willie back slightly.
"Who… And what are you?" Brainy asked, looking down at the slightly shorter creatures.
"Aww, they're cute." Clumsy smiled.
"What do you two want?!" Junior asked. "If you're only here to stare, then go away!"
"We just didn't know anyone else lived here." Brainy shrugged.
"Whatever." Junior muttered. "Now we're stuck here with annoying land goblins…"
"What did you call me?!" Brainy shouted. "We're Smurfs!"
"Smurfs!" Junior's eyes grew wide as he smiled. "I was looking for one of you… We need help. We have a… Friend who needs your help making something…" Junior smiled. "It's a surprise."
"What do you mean?" Brainy asked suspiciously.
"I can't say it, it's so secret that even I'm not allowed to know." Junior half lied.
"Cool!" Clumsy smiled.
"Wait, I'm a bit concerned, Clumsy." Brainy said.
"But they seem nice." Clumsy said.
"Nice? He insulted me!" Brainy retorted.
"But I know he is nice deep down. That's why I like you so much, Brainy." Clumsy admitted. "Plus his friend seems so sweet."
"Alright, fine. They may be our ticket home anyway…" Brainy muttered reluctantly. "As Papa Smurf always says, many Smurfs make light Smurf."
"We will be swimming in gold, Willie!" Junior cheered. Willie glared at him. "I mean swimming free..."
Brainy watched from afar and looked at them suspiciously.
Brainy and Clumsy set up a campfire to keep themselves warm. Meanwhile Junior and Willie were curled up under a poorly made tent.
"J-J-Junior… I'm cold…" Willie shuddered. "And when will we get b-b-back?"
"As soon as those Smurfs offer to help." Junior patted Willie's head. Willie held Junior tightly. Junior rolled his eyes but then patted his brother's head.
"But Brainy. They seem so nice!" Clumsy explained.
"I know they are working for Gargamel!" Brainy assured. "They seem small and harmless, but then boom!"
"But Brainy, maybe Gargamel is forcing them to do it." Clumsy argued.
"It matters not, I know their tricks! I know all their tricks!" Brainy scoffed. Clumsy's face fell. "Now promise me, you will not come near them."
"Okay…" Clumsy sighed.
"Thanks, Clumsy." Brainy smiled softly.
Clumsy nodded extremely slowly.
The next morning, Junior and Brainy woke up in their separate sleeping spots next to their respective buddies. Junior got up and went to see Brainy, Brainy seemed really nervous and angry.
"Leave me alone!" Brainy shouted.
"Why?" Junior asked.
"Because you want to make gold with me!" Brainy growled.
"Well, duh!" Junior rolled his eyes. "What's the big deal?"
"Why are you only thinking of yourself?" Brainy asked.
"ME?! What about you being selfish and not helping us?!" Junior growled as steam came from the snorkel on his head.
"Because you're working for Gargamel!" Brainy shouted.
"You… You know him?" Junior asked.
"Yes, he is always trying to kidnap us to make gold!" Brainy explained.
"He forces you to make gold?" Junior asked.
"He wants to make us INTO gold!" Brainy corrected.
"Wow… That makes even less sense! You're blue, wouldn't you be made into sapphires?!" Junior asked.
"I have been trying to figure that out for years myself. But either way… He hates our guts and wants us dead. Especially me." Brainy said.
"Oh…" Junior frowned. "Is… There a way to make gold without Smurfs?"
"Of course there is!" Brainy exclaimed. "But… We have no use for gold, so I'm not allowed to make it, but I have been trying in secret but with no luck."
"Wow! Could you…" Junior asked while scraping his foot on the ground.
"No way! You were not very kind to me, so I won't help you!" Brainy scoffed.
"You gotta!" Junior pleaded. He got on the ground on his knees. "I wasn't supposed to tell you but an imp wants tons of gold or else he will kill me and my little brother!"
"Oh my Smurf…" Brainy gasped in horror.
"If you don't want to do it for me, do it for Willie!" Junior pointed at Willie. "Wait, where did he go?"
They heard chuckling and giggling behind them, they turned around and saw Clumsy throwing Willie in the air and catching him.
"Okay… I will try." Brainy said in a nervous tone.
"Great." Junior grinned.
"But this better not be a trick!" Brainy glared. Junior nodded nervously.
