Draco Pov.
First year had not gone the way I had expected at all. Yes I had reached the top, Yes I had done my best but originally I thought that I would need to use my father's name to get everything I wanted.
That instantly changed when I met the girl-who-lived, someone who would actually accept me for me rather then my name or family fortune. Then I met Longbottom who seemed to be in a similar situation that I was in then Hermione, a muggleborn who I was taught to hate actually understood me.
Aisha, Tracey and Adam all pushed us out of our comfort zone against what we had originally wanted and now I actually have people I can trust to have my back, to help me for the sake of it instead of expecting something in return. All of us together are a team and I already got permission to sleepover at potter manor in three days. Tracey had showed me how to play with people's heads, get them to work for you without them knowing it, Hermione had shown all of us methods of studying faster and cleaner, Adam had helped us with Transfiguration and charms, Aisha helped us all with Defence and History, I would help them with potions and edquiette in the wizarding world.
Now it was perfectly normal for me to be seen discussing topics with them, learning from every house except gryfindoor, normal for us to meet every saturday to talk, listen to Ash playing the flute or taking photos together. It was like I got some brothers and sisters along.
Now as we headed back to the train, we continued planning all that we wanted to do together and individually this summer. we all took some last photos as first years, played card manoply together and the time passed so quickly it felt like five minutes.
Rather then running over to my parents, I stayed behind to help Nev shrink his trunk and say goodbye to the rest.
"thanks Draco" Nev nodded in thanks, spotting his grandmother who was looking at him like she had never seen him before, and waited to say goodbye, hugging the girls in a sisterly manner with promises to write plenty before joining his grandmother.
"Well I better get going, Trace you better send me a copy of the photo album or I will make you regret it" I playfully smirked, earning a friendly tap and an eyeroll from mione.
"Fine but you and Nev better ask your parents to both visit and come along to the convention" she smirked back.
"if they don't agree then I'll go anyway, no way am I letting you four having all the fun this summer, see you guys later" I nodded at each of them before finally heading to my parents, watching as they portkeyed to the summer manor.
"Well you certainly made some friends this year Draco" My mother commented, holding out a hand to apparate back to the manor.
Once we arrived, I nodded smiling fondly at my best friends "yes Mother, Father nice to see you again, anyway they actually invited me to spend the night a couple times this summer and got tickets to the international converction of magic this year, could we talk about me going?"
They were surprised but smiled and nodded, "yes you can go spend the night as much as you would like, just tell us the morning beforehand, as for the convection who are we to say no to a rare oppertuniaty like that"
I smiled in thanks and rushed up to my room to inform them of my parents decision while planning out what I wanted to bring over there and what to research in the library here at home to share.

As I said goodbye to my friends who showed me how to be confident in myself, who taught me how to speak up and who have earned my loyalty for life, my best friends, I thought about the past school year. I was sure that I would be the outcast, coward gryfindoor that had no friends all seven years of hogwarts. instead I'm the boy who is part of a group who is also a family, one that understood me, one who is envied by most of the school and one of the top ten students in their first year.
I finally reached my grandmother who didn't scare me anymore, probably because I now know there are scarier things like Ash's temper. Once we arrived at the manor, My grandmother started her questions as to how school was which I answered happily, describing each of my friends and what we had learned this year. she for once looked proud of me and said so to my shock then agreed to let me stay over and attend the convention with them, she even handed me my trust vault key and told me to use it as much as I would like.
Afterwards I quickly wrote to them about getting permission, apparently Draco got the same too then headed to the library to get some rare information not easily found anywhere else in the world.
It took almost two weeks but I got alot of research done then made plans to go shopping with the group on the 22nd of June for new clothes, furniture in our personal rooms, some artifacts and to catch up.
this was going to be a very fun summer!

Saying goodbye to our friends, we all portkeyed to the manor and I loved it. The manor was huge, with a modern twist like a back pool, gardens, greenhouses, the inside had over 35 bedrooms, an attic, a meeting room, potions labs, dualing rooms, offices, the potter family library, game rooms, tv room, dining halls, and more.
A personalised house elf each led us to a bedroom and we all chose one, mine was a deep merine color with white and silver accents, Hermione's had ravenclaw colors, a balcony and plenty of room including built-in bookshelves, Tracey's was innocent but lethal just like her and Adam's had an extra room to build things in.
We arranged to have an outing with Nev and Dray to get ready for the convention on the 22nd of June so on that day, we caught up, bought alot of decorations, paints, lights, books, brooms, clothes, a travel trunk each and some things from the mundane side of town. Draco and Nev both pitched in a new business idea each to the goblins which they could definitely see profit from so they started on their own personal businesses and we all decided to block all and any access to any of our vault after an alert that Molly weasley attempted to access the vaults.
For one week, we learned about spell-crafting, runes, dueling, crafting, enchantements, there were even assassination classes which we all bet that Tracey would sign up for. Between all six of us, we took every course there was including advanced healing, had a blast and learned alot.
All summer we perfected our magic to new heights, acomplished all our goals plus more, also learned from a house-elf named Dobby that Draco's father was planning on using a cursed item to mess with the weasley family. Tracey found out why Voldemort decended into maddness, because he split his soul too many times to be completey stable, We learned how my family was betrayed and just who betrayed them, captured him and found him littered with many compulsions, blocks and potions, enough that it threatened his sanity.
Peter broke down once his mind was clear enough to remember what had happened, begged for forgivness. He helped us with ritual magic, research on Horuxes and how to place a soul back together.
We spent the rest of the summer uncovering more of Dumbledore's lies, a safe way to bring back a sane dark lord, found out that the lestranges had an heir who could still be alive so we searched for him as well. Jacob parker, a hufflepuff fourth year, learned that he was related to a dark family, that the light had kidnapped him and joined us in causing Chaos and getting revenge.
We learned about some new students and their background. two in particular stood out, Ginny weasley from what we could find, she hides who she is so that her family doesn't kick her out when in reality she is dark in many ways and her best friend Luna Lovegood a young seer who is entering her first year, playes the part of being crazy so no one would take her seriously. Both of them only have each other.
We met them during shopping a few times and could tell that they know somethings, look at us with withdrawness and hope like what we have is what they want.
We planned on keeping our work ethic up to standard, swapped out the real horuxes for fakes including the diary for a communication one where we can talk to the youngest weasley without people having any susposions.
Finishing our plans and summer homework, we arranged to go school shopping for our supplies on 3rd of August in order to avoid the hussle.
That day was certainly dramatic and proved Adam's earlier statement last year on the train about how Slytherins and Gryfindoors are dracmatic once they are together.
