In which badass Percy is badass and this does not go the same as canon lol.
Undeath9087: I think so.
Guest: Heh, I hope you like what I've done given part of your review. More unhinged Percy!

Percy couldn't help but giggle at Jason's reaction to her outburst. He almost choked on thin air, shaking his head.

"PERCY! You are not helping here!"

"Hey she's my sister, I can call her out for being jealous if I want to." Percy let out a huff, "I mean, he shouldn't have made you marry someone but I mean, you can't just stand there and act like I must have this perfect life just 'cause I'm the favorite- if anything he's just making up for the bullshit that is my life- and also- you are not the only one here who's been forced to marry."

"Ah yes, I did hear about that." Kym scoffed, "That didn't exactly last though-"

"And yet it's left me with a lifetimes worth of trauma." Percy gave a little thumbs up, "Tell you what, instead of all that jealousy bullshit you and I could hang out, we could be buddies, commiserate over forced marriages. If you could stop the whole storm thing-"

"That will not happen." Kym was still glaring, "Poseidon favoring you is not the only problem I have. Poseidon has never treated me fairly. I like to come here, to his old palace, because it pleases me to see his works in ruins. Someday soon his new palace will look like this one, and the seas will rage unchecked."

"Ah." Percy let out an exasperated sight, "This is the part where she tells us she's working for Gaea." she said, turning her head to look at Jason.

"Yeah." Jason agreed, "And the Earth Mother promised her a better deal once the gods are destroyed, blah, blah blah." he turned to Kym, "You do understand that Gaea won't keep her promises right? She's using you like she's using the giants."

"She's a user." Percy piped up, "Sorry but you're not in luck sis."

"I am touched by your concern." Kym's voice was almost as sarcastic as Percy's could be. "The Olympian gods on the other hand, have never used me, eh?"

"Okay well you're preaching to the choir there. You think you have it bad? We demigods get used a heck of a lot worse than you do- look at me, look at Jason. Sure you definitely deserve more respect but like- don't act like you're the only one who has it rough. Besides as far asI know the Olympians are trying. I mean, my brother made them promise to be better, to start paying more attention to the other gods. A lot of them have cabins now at Camp Half-Blood, so I've been told. I mean I wouldn't personally know since I haven't been back there since I came back from, y'know, being dead but I mean, it's meant to be getting better-"

"And do I get such respect?"

"I literally just told you I haven't been there so I wouldn't know!" she let out a huff, "I was dead." and Jason genuinely looked like he wanted to bash his head against a wall.

"I do not. So save your words sister." Kym's jellyfish-tentacle hair floated towards her, as if anxious to paralyse new prey. "I have heard so much about the great Percy Jackson. The giants are quite obsessed with capturing you. I must say … I don't see what the fuss is about."

"I literally do not want any of that." Percy pointed out reasonably. "Their obsession with me is basically a way to prove they're better than their brother." her voice was angry and resentful. "Because mommy dearest hates me for killing Kronos and because if they can catch me, well, they'd be doing what he couldn't do- not that any of them could keep me anymore than he could. And if you're going to try and kill me I am going to have to warn you I don't go down easily."

Kym's delicate nostrils flared. Jason got his sword ready.

"Oh, I won't kill you," Kym said. "My part of the bargain was simply to get your attention. Someone else is here, though, who very much wants to kill you."

Above them, at the edge of the broken roof, a dark shape appeared – a figure even taller than Kymopoleia.

And Percy felt her stomach dropping as she stared up at the giant.

"The daughter of Neptune." the voice was deep and familiar and he floated down towards them. Clouds of dark viscous fluid – poison, perhaps – curled from his blue skin. His green breastplate was fashioned to resemble a cluster of open hungry mouths. In his hands were the weapons of a retiarius – a trident and a weighted net.

All in all he looked just like he had last time Percy had seen him, which did not bode well for her. She didn't have Terminus down here and Kym wasn't likely to help her.

"Polybotes." Jason's voice was tight. "The anti-Poseidon."

The giant shook his dreadlocks. A dozen basilisks swam free.

"Indeed son of Rome. But if you'll excuse me, my immediate business is with Persephone Jackson. I tracked her all the way across Tartarus and now, her in her fathers ruins I mean to crush her for once and for all."

And Percy had Riptide out and in her hand in an instant. "And I'd like to note that you couldn't keep up with me." she remarked lightly, "Which- given the fact that you were literally inside of your dad- real gross if you think about it by the by, so it was definitely your advantage over mine. And you failed. I could literally hardly breath because the air was toxic and you couldn't bring me in. How does that make you feel." but even as she said that she knew she was in a very dangerous position.

And then the basilisks were shooting towards her- two of them leaning the way and Percy's blade arced through the water, slicing them both in half.

Unfortunately there were ten more of the bastards swirling around her legs, carefully keeping out the the reach of her blade, writhing back and forth just looking for an opening.

And Percy knew that if one of them got her she'd be dead.

"Hey!" Jason yelled the word, "How about some love over here?" and she could appreciate Jason's attempt to help her but Percy knew that Polybotes only cared about her. That smug smile on his lips infuriated her, it reminded her of the look Alabaster had gotten whenever he knew he had her when he wanted her.

And she could hear him trying to please with Kymopoleia- but there was very little chance of it working out. So she focused on keeping the basilisks back with currents of water- but every time she did they just swum back to her moments later.

Then Jason, clearly giving up on reasoning with Kym or distracting the monsters, thrust his sword into the air. Immediately the blade glowed red-hot.

A diffuse cloud of yellow light billowed through the depths, like someone had poured liquid neon into the water. The light hit Jason's sword and sprayed outwards in ten separate tendrils, zapping the basilisks.

Their eyes went dark. Their frills disintegrated. All ten serpents turned belly-up and floated dead in the water.

Percy blinked, a smile spreading across her lips as Jason glared at Polybotes.

"Next time. Look at me when I'm talking to you." and if she was close enough Percy would definitely be holding her hand up to high five him.

And honestly the way Polybote's smile curdled made Percy's day. Then he spoke, "Are you so anxious to die Roman?"

And that pissed Percy off. She could deal with threats to herself. Though the smug look had pissed her off. But Jason was Percy's friend, and that, that pissed her off.

She raised her sword and hurled herself at the giant, but Polybotes swept his hand through the water, leaving an arc of black oily poison.

She only just managed to stop herself in time, though she got a lungful of the sickening poison before she did stop.

She reeled backwards, flailing and letting out a choking noise as she felt it burning down her throat and into her lungs, hot and painful, she coughed and spluttered- but she waved a hand at Jason when he started to rush to her side- but that moment of surprise and struggling was all Polybotes needed to toss his stupid weighted net over her, which knocked Riptide from her hands and away across the floor of the ruins, clattering as it went.

She let out a cry as she was knocked to her knees by the weight of the net- and Polybotws laughed, even as the poison curled around her once more, closing in around her.

"Stay back Jason!" Percy managed to cough when Jason went to move closer to her. "Poison, kill you. Don't breath it in." she closed her eyes, focusing on her powers, on the poison even now curling its way into her lungs.

"Let her go!" Jason yelled the words, his voice cracking with panic

"Don't worry son of Jupiter." Polybotes laughed "My prize will take time to die. After all the trouble she's caused me I wouldn't dream of killing her quickly. She'll be paralysed soon- and in excruciating-" he paused, "W-what are you doing?" Because Percy was on her hands and knees, her eyes screwed shut as she retched, and slowly the black oily poison slipped out of her mouth as she pulled it out from her throat and lungs, "That's not possible!"

And Percy got the last of it up and managed to lift her head- her throat and chest were still burning painfully, but the poison was out, and she bared her teeth at the giant, who looked panicked as he sent more oily black poison flooding towards her-and Percy focused quickly, sending a current of water to push both Jason and Kym backwards, away from the poison as she managed to drag herself to her feet despite the weight of the net pushing down around her.

Admittedly she doubted that she looked very threatening with the net-but a moment later she was pulling her dagger from her calf holster and slicing the ropes of the net and pushing herself free from it, letting it to drop to the ground around her.

And then the poison reached her, but Percy didn't let it touch her, the poison receded, like wave in reverse, and Polybotes stepped back, "That is not possible!"

"I learned some new tricks down in Tartarus." and the cloud of black oily smoke swirled around the giant, rising up around him- and he snarled.

"How-"

"Did you not wonder what I did to Akhlys. You guys were there." Percy mocked, "chasing after us. Did you really miss what I did to her?" she tilted her head, and Polybotes didn't have time to react- he opened his mouth to speak as a tendril of the poison suddenly shot out of the cloud, shooting straight down his throat.

His hands moved instantly, pressing to his throat- and Percy pushed the cloud of poison backwards.

She had no doubt that his control over poison was better than hers.

But that didn't matter.

She had the advantage of surprise. He hadn't known she could control it too. And she lunged at him, pushing herself upwards and slamming her dagger into his neck. And she rammed her fist into his face- which made him stagger backwards.

Out of the corner of her eye Percy could see Jason gaping at her before he whirled to Kym.

That was good. Percy would only be able to keep this up for so long. She was going to need a god to help her kill the bastard. And there was a very real possibility that her sister was their only option.

She yanked the dagger from the giants neck, before slamming it in again, and he tried to reach up to grab her but she scrambled over the top of his head so that she was on his back, and she stabbed the dagger into the back of his neck, and the other side of his neck as he span and struggled.

"STOP IT!" He bellowed the words- and Percy tossed her head back and laughed.

"Would you stop it if I begged you?" she demanded, "Don't answer that. We both know the answer. You'd just laugh and hurt me even more. Well guess what," She had an almost manic smile on her lips, "I'm the one laughing now."
