In which Percy is not having a good time, no not at all. Poor Percy's life is not pleasant right now.

Undeath9087: Yes, yes I do :), and I get why you don't trust Disney- I still have flashbacks from the Artemis Fowl movie lol. But given how heavily Rick is involved I do have some faith, besides they saw what happened when the movies messed up lol.
ant-death: I mean, she didn't know they'd go there unfortunately lol.
Ellen: We shall.
Guest: Hah, I doubt it'd work but it'd be funny. And I do see what you mean.

When Percy came to again it was to a living nightmare- though when the memories of the incident leading up to her getting knocked out slithered back she decided that it wasn't that much worse.

She woke to the sound of cheering, and she could feel a hand, a very very large hand, gripping her tightly, she let out a low groan, blinking fuzzily and lifting her head- she could see bronze colored skin- and then as she looked up she could see bronze armor, dreadlocked hair with bones woven through it- the usual dragon legs of a giant.

Wonderful. She wasn't sure which giant was holding her but this was not good.

She started to squirm, swallowing hard as the giant laughed upon realising that she was awake. And as she looked around she saw that she was surrounded by giants. The one holding her was parading around the circle of them, clearly showing off their captured sacrifice, holding her up to the cheering horde of monsters before he turned and thrust her forward, holding her up so that she was essentially being displayed like a prize pig to a giant who Percy knew had to be their King. Porphyrion. The King of the giants was even bigger than the one holding her. She couldn't help but notice his hair- long green hair braided in long locks and decorated with weapons- undoubtedly ones taken from Demigods.

Percy felt sick to her stomach at the sight of that.

He was sat in his own makeshift throne, and his white eyes gleamed with malice.

"Right on time!" he bellowed the words. "The daughter of Poseidon." he sneered. "Titan-killer. You will be our bait. And soon we shall have the Grace boy too. The blood of Olympus to raise the Earth Mother."

And Percy swallowed down the rush of bile- she refused to show any sign of weakness to the giants. Not now not ever. She was Percy motherfucking Jackson. She would not let herself falter.

"Titan-killer is a compliment." she managed, stopping her struggles- at least for now. As much as she desperately wanted to free herself she knew it would likely just tire herself out which was the last thing she wanted.

"Take it as you want." the giant rose- and oh but that was not a pleasant sight she felt very very tiny right now. "Well done Enceladus. She was captured just as you foresaw. Mother led her to us."

"It was simple my king." Enceladus- the giant holding Percy, bowed. "The Chase girl will be here to somewhere. I have no doubt. They won't have sent a boy yet but they will- to rescue Poseidon's get. They will come and we will have the blood to spill. It was easy to predict. I understand how they think. Athena and Poseidon … they were just like these children! They both came here thinking to claim this city. Their arrogance has undone them! The Chase girl will show herself- will try to save Poseidon's brat. Then we will have our sacrifice and their strategist."

"No!" Percy let out a choked noise-shaking her head as panic flooded through her before- wait. Wait Rachel was with Annabeth. Oh they'd both want to save her. Percy had no doubt about that- but they'd also want to protect one another. Rachel wouldn't let Annabeth act without thinking, and Annabeth wouldn't let Rachel do the same either. They'd hold one another back.

Still- Percy felt sick at the thought of anyone else being captured- and she winced as Enceladus raised her slightly as Porphyrion laughed. "Pathetic. And to think you killed our brother. But don't worry, Persephone Jackson. It does not matter if the sacrifices are not done at once. You won't live to see those you love die. See. We can be merciful."

And gods but that was a sickening thought. But- well it would be a mercy not to have to watch the people she loved die she had to concede to that. But they still needed her so she couldn't let herself die quite yet. She just had to figure a way out of this.

Then she spotted movement in the crowd- two of the Earthborn shoving through the crowds- and Percy couldn't see past the mist but she knew them. She knew who it was deep in her soul. Even as one of the giants- a female one- the only female one as far as Percy could see, stepped forward. "Father, let me do the honors." She drew a hunting knife as long as a sword- and Percy could see Annabeth and Rachel still trying to push their way through the crowds- they knew what was coming. They knew she could die here, and soon. They were terrified they wanted to save her- and she noticed Enceladus shifting, his gaze starting to move towards the hordes of monsters.

Certainly the two Earthborn didn't stand out that much yet- lots of them were trying to get a good view, but how long until the giants figured out who the two monsters actually were.

She needed a distraction.

So she focused pushing all of her fear, her anger and despair and every unpleasant emotion she had into the pit of her stomach before she released them with a scream.

At the other end of the Acropolis, a hundred yards away a huge geyser of water shot into the sky.

Well. It was impressive Percy admitted, a good distraction even if it was too far away to actually help Percy get out of the mess. She had wanted to summon one beneath Enceladus' feet, but clearly that had not worked. And Porphyrion laughed.

"Nice try, daughter of Poseidon but you'll have to do better than that. The earth is too powerful here. Even your father wouldn't be able to summon more than a salty spring. But never fear. The only liquid we require from you is your blood!" and at least no one was watching the two monsters now- and they'd slowed down- clearly they were trying to figure out how to rescue Percy without making the situation worse. Annabeth had probably realised why Percy had done what she'd just done.

"Father-"

"No daughter-" Porphyrion interrupted the female giant. "The sacrifice must be done properly. Thoon, destroyer of the Fates come forward."

The wizened grey giant shuffled into sight, holding an oversized meat cleaver. He fixed his milky eyes on Percy- and Percy felt her chest going tight as he knelt and touched the blade of his cleaver reverently against the earth.

"Mother Gaea.." His voice was impossibly deep, shaking the ruins, making the metal scaffold resonate under Piper's feet. "In ancient times, blood mixed with your soil to create life. Now, let the blood of these demigods return the favour. We bring you to full wakefulness. We greet you as our eternal mistress!"

And Thoon was rising, raising his cleaver as Enceladus held Percy out, and Percy started struggling again, desperately reaching for her powers, for anything- but the ichor running through the giants veins wasn't the same as blood. Even she couldn't control that. There was nothing that she could do and she felt completely helpless- she could see Annabeth and Rachel pushing their way forward again, still looking like monsters.

And then, there was movement from the scaffolding above- one of the Earthborn leaping down, sailing over the heads of Cyclopses and ogres, landing in the middle of the courtyard and surging through the circle of giants before they could stop her- and then, just before the cleaver would have cleaved Percy's head clean away from her body a sword sliced through the giants wrist and the cleaver and severed hand hit the dust at the feet of the Earthborn- or as Percy realised, not an Earthborn at all. It was Piper.

She forced down a hysterical relieved laugh even as the mist burned away and Porphyrion let out a roar.

"What is this?! How dare this weak, useless creature interrupt!"

And Percy had to admit she was impressed as Piper didn't even hesitate- her knife flew through the air, and Percy resisted the urge to cheer as it thudded into Enceladus' forehead- which made the giant drop her, and she dropped and rolled, pushing herself onto her feet.

She had to ignore the pain in her head and back but she'd fought with worse. Though as she patted her pockets she felt a shiver of terror sliding down her spine as she realised that she didn't have Riptide- they must have taken her sword from her. The bastards.

And then Annabeth and Rachel were there- both of their mist disguises had burned away, and Annabeth was charging at the female giant- looking furious- then again that made sense since the giant had wanted to kill her- and Rachel was suddenly by her side, gripping her elbow to steady her- and she hadn't even noticed that she was swaying slightly.

"Are you okay what happened?" Rachel looked frantic, her forest green eyes shining with terror, her beautiful red curls a flaming halo around her face. "How did they get you-"

"Gaea's got brains." Percy exhaled, shaking herself, "My sword-"

"Damn it." Rachel had one of her daggers out and she threw it- and Percy turned her head to see that it had nailed one of the enemy cyclopses in the eye. And okay Rachel really did have the aim of one descended from Apollo as well as the prophetic abilities. Percy allowed herself half a second to be impressed before she was shifting, managing to slide her hand beneath her shorts to pull her dagger free from it's sheathe. She might not use it much these days, but it was better than nothing.

She turned her head as she heard a war cry from Annabeth- who was darting around the giantess' legs, ducking between her ankles, weaving with more skill than Arachne had ever possessed in her own pattern, too fast for the giant to stop her as she slashed at the ankles, leaping up from time to time, slicing across the back of her knee- until a rock thrown by- well, one of the monsters probably, Percy couldn't see, hit Annabeth in the hip and she stumbled.

Percy let out a cry, ready to surge forward when the giant lunged for Annabeth but Piper was closer- Percy saw her lunge and saw the daughter of Aphrodite's sword pierce her gut- and frost spread across her bronze breastplate as Piper yanked out her sword as the giantess toppled backwards, steaming white and frozen solid.

For a brief second Rachel tensed, her eyes almost clouding before she hissed. "Spear."

And Percy blinked- what did-

"My daughter!' King Porphyrion levelled his spear and charged.

Percy didn't even think- Rachel split away from her to rush to help Annabeth up, and Percy sprinting towards Piper- who was moving backwards- though she'd never be able to escape in time.

She didn't have to though, because Percy sprinted past her, leaping up and gripping the tip of the spear, forcing it down into the ground. The giant's own momentum lifted him off his feet in an unintentional pole-vault manoeuvre and he flipped over onto his back.

And Percy twirled her dagger as he landed stunned, ignoring what Piper, Annabeth and Rachel were doing as she moved towards Porphyrion's head, intent on stabbing the dazed giant in the eyes.

She knew from personal experience that being blinded sucked royally but she didn't care. It would be a huge advantage.

But even as she raised her dagger those huge eyes snapped open and Percy didn't have time to step back as his hand shot out and closed around her, with so much strength that she felt her ribs cracking in an instant.

She couldn't even scream, though she could hear the others yelling, see Rachel sprinting towards her, Annabeth being held up by Piper- and she let out a choked gurgling noise as Rachel was swatted away by Enceladus- who had removed the knife from his head and looked very, very pissed off.

She could hear Piper yelling something too- and then even through the pain Percy could sense something shift, a familiar metallic scent filling the air.

She blinked fuzzily, tilting her head back as much as she could as Porphyrion rose to his feet.

At the top of the nearest colonnade stood several familiar figures. Jason was there, sword gleaming gold in the sun with Thalia smirking on one side of him, her shield and spear ready. Frank stood at his other side, his bow ready. Hazel sat astride Arion, who reared and whinnied in challenge.

Emerging from the shadows at the base of the colonnade were Will and Nico- and then Porphyrion roared in pain, his grip on Percy loosening- and as she dropped towards the ground something caught her mid fall, and her flailing hands knocked a cap off- and her eyes widened when she saw blond hair, the familiar scar and blue eyes.

"I've got you Sephie." Luke's voice was firm, "I've got you."
