Tonight, was the night that the WWE Universe had been waiting on for months. Tonight, was WrestleMania, "The Showcase of the Immortals", "The Grandest Stage of Them All". The event had so many nicknames and rightfully so, it was the WWE's Super Bowl. Hell, it was Wrestling's Super Bowl. It didn't matter if you were a WWE fan, AEW fan, New Japan fan, whatever. You knew about WrestleMania if you loved wrestling and you knew just how important the show truly was and still is.
For Ced, this was his second WrestleMania and he was excited as hell to be competing at his second WrestleMania. There was a feeling of excitement that he hoped never went away. It almost felt like his first time all over again and honestly, it felt even more electric. But the nerves were a hell of a lot worse than last year. This year it was a more significant match. This was potentially Hunter's last match and potentially the start of a run that might turn Ced into the superstar that Hunter and Vince wanted him to be.
Currently, Cedric sat in one of the seats in the stands looking out at the arena with a frown. The ring was set with a white canvas with gold ropes and black turnbuckle pads with the WWE logo on them. The LED ring post had a gold confetti-like design to them with WrestleMania going down vertically. The LED Board had the same design as the LED Ring Post but instead had the WrestleMania Hollywood logo going across on it. The aprons had the same design as the LED Board but weren't lit with LED and had the classic apron texture to them. Titantrons were held above the ring with LED Posts in the ring with the gold graphic on them. The ramp was rather long and had a red carpet-like look to it with LEDs on the side. The stage had the same design with a red carpet look with a. WWE logo in gold. The stage itself was rather simple with WrestleMania held above the minitrons with a gold confetti design in the WrestleMania logo.
The WWE was going with a minimalistic design with this WrestleMania set but it still looked amazing.
Cedric heard some footsteps making him turn his head to see Paul walking towards him in a pair of black shorts with black sneakers and a compression top with two bottles of water in hand. Paul handed his opponent a bottle of water and took a seat next to him to look at the set.
"Do the butterflies ever go away?" Cedric asked looking at the set.
"No. You'd think they do after a while but they don't."
"You nervous?" Cedric asked.
"For 'Mania, I'm always nervous. It doesn't matter if I'm in the board room as an executive or in the ring, the pressure is always on. This is our biggest show of the year. This is the night that WWE fans always remember." Paul said as he placed a hand on Cedric's shoulder.
"I think we got this."
"I know we do. You have the potential to be a big star in this business but it's riding on this one match, so tonight perform like your life depends on it."
"In a way, it does," Cedric said as he turned his head and looked at Paul with a worried look on his face, "I realize I never said thank you. Thank you for bringing me here in the first place."
"And you'll never have to. Your skill caught my attention and your heart is the reason you're still here," Paul said standing up as he took another look at one of his few proteges before walking away, leaving the young star by himself. Cedric took a deep breath before he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He dialed in a number before putting the phone up to his ear.
"Hey baby." he greeted over the phone as he smiled.
"Hey, baby. How's 'Mania coming along?"
"They're working on the set. I can't wait till you come see it."
"I can't wait either. I think your son is even more excited than I am."
That statement put a huge smile on Cedric's face.
"I can't wait to see you both. I'm a little nervous about the match."
'I am too, I've watched some of those Cell matches a few nights ago, they're brutal baby. Are you sure that this is the type of match you want?"
"It's too late to change it now but yeah, I'm sure."
"Alright, It looks like I'll be joining you in the medic room just like last year."
And if I also remember correctly, last year you accepted my proposal to become Mrs. Harvey."
"Mrs. Rose-Harvey, I still want my last name."
"Well, you can hyphenate. It's not a big deal. I just want to marry you and live the rest of my life with you."
"Same, babe. Same."
"Well, I'm not gonna hold you up too long, I know you gotta get ready and get CJ ready so I'll see you later on baby."
"Alright, I love you."
"I love you too, bye," he said as he hung up the phone and placed the phone back into the pocket of his shorts. Cedric stood up taking another look at the set before he took a deep breath and started to make his way back to the back.
(!)-(!)-(!)-(!)
Cedric stood in the locker room wearing a pair of white trunks with his ring name on the front in silver with a blue outline. His logo on the back, the roaring lion head, had the same color scheme. He wore black boots, knee pads, and elbow pads with white tape on both his wrist and his fist. He wore a chain-mail like piece over his body similar to the same one Triple H wore in the late 90's during his run with Chyna.
"Man, you went back in time with the time machine, didn't you?" Joe said noting his attire as he pointed out the entrance gear that Cedric wore.
"Yeah, I did. It's a match of a lifetime against a legend, might as well bust out a relic," Cedric replied.
The locker room wasn't really full. There were a few members of the roster inside the locker room but most of them were sitting in catering watching the show. So far, the Pay-Per-View had been great. The WWE Universe in Inglewood saw the crowning of two new Champions in the WWE in Apollo Crews, Bobby Lashley and AJ Styles and Omos. Currently, the Raw Women's Championship match was underway and was on the monitor in the locker room.
This was only his second WrestleMania in his career and the butterflies were there as if it were his first. And while he was excited, he was nervous as hell. And not only was this his second WrestleMania but his first and possibly only match against "The Game" Triple H and his first-ever match inside the unforgiving 2-ton hell hole known as Hell in a Cell.
"Enjoy this night man, sometimes you only get one chance to share a ring with a legend," Joe said as he stood up, patting Cedric on the shoulder before walking out of the locker room leaving Cedric there alone.
(!)-(!)-(!)-(!)
It was finally time for the match and both men were ready, standing by a guerilla waiting for their cue for their entrances, Cedric was going to go out first since his entrance wasn't as grand as Paul's was supposed to be but nonetheless, he was getting one.
Paul stood up at guerilla just across from Ced having a conversation with his wife, Stephanie. Paul gave his wife a quick kiss and she made her way over to Cedric, giving him a pat on the shoulder.
"Good luck, go out there and be a star," she said before walking away to the producer's area next to her brother. The billionaire Chairman of the Board stood up and walked towards both men.
"Gentlemen, I want you both to go out there and tear the house down," Vince said as Paul chuckled while looking at Cedric. Vince turned his head and look directly at Cedric.
"And tomorrow morning, I'm gonna give you a call and we can discus what's next for your career?"
"Thank you, sir," Cedric said with appreciation as he looked at his boss.
"Don't thank me, thank this man right here for showing me that you are a star when I couldn't see it, "Vince said as he patted Paul on the back before he walked away leaving Cedric standing there with Paul.
"This is it, this is the start of your rise. You're gonna be a legend in this business, now go out there so I can kick your ass," Paul joked making Cedric chuckle. Members of the WWE had walked over to Cedric and put a pair of plastic shackles around his wrist with a metallic silver look on it for his entrance tonight.
(!)-(!)-(!)-(!)
Nearly 82,000 screaming WWE fans were screaming at the top of their lungs as Jaden Smith and a band could be seen on the stage wearing Ced shirts. One of the members started playing a guitar riff in the arena as the fans cheered. She played her solo as Jaden looked around the crowd with a smile on his face. Once she finished her guitar solo, the man on the beat started playing the beat of the "Icon" song as Jaden began rapping.
*What you call icon livin?*
*Start a record label, MSFTs just did it (woo)*
*Nylon cover, five minutes, whoa*
*We up too hot in the business (woo)*
*Bout to make a movie independent (woo)*
*Need new tracks, independent (woo)*
*I need you to listen to the vision (woo)*
*All your verses sound like dirty dishes*
*I'm about to clean 'em in the kitchen*
*And we making money by the minutes*
*I'm about to do it way different*
*I am just an icon living*
*I am just an icon living, living*
*I-I-Icon, living*
*I am just an icon living*
*I am just an i-i-icon*
Ced slowly rose up from the stage with his ring gear and a pair of shackles around his wrist as the fans cheered. Ced looked around the arena with a frown on his face before setting his attention on the shackles binding his wrist together.
*I am not a Mayan, I'm a menace*
*It's wild, you can lie like a professor*
*I don't mind got the time to put you on a stretcher*
*I am here and I'm still flexing*
Ced spit out his water in a mist-like form as he broke the shackles while pyro went off in the distance as Ced started to make his descent down the ramp.
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a Hell in a Cell match in which Triple H's career is on the line. Introducing first, from Charlotte, North Carolina. Weighing in at 252 Pounds. Ced!" Greg Hamilton announced as "Young Simba" had gotten around to the ringside area and looked around the crowd once more while Jaden continued rapping his song while pyro went off in the distance.
Ced walked up the steps and made a beeline to the corner and jumped up onto the middle turnbuckle. He looked among the fans in the arena as they cheered until his eyes set on his fiancé and his son. He pointed to his wife and changed his gaze to the cell up above. He set his gaze back among the fans and looked around once more before hitting his pose as the flashes could be seen.
He jumped down and walked to the center of the ring taking the armor piece off his body and throwing it off to the outside. The band on the stage stopped playing their song while the WWE crew had removed the drums and all of the extra stuff on the stage.
TIME TO PLAY THE GAME!
"The Game" by Motorhead Hits
The WWE fans gave the former 14-time World Champion a mixed reaction as his music hit the PA system. There was a possibility that this was the last time they'd see his entrance on the grandest stage of them all as a competitor.
Triple H walked out onto the stage with head down looking at the arena floor as lights arena were going around in a frenzy of color. Hunter slowly raised his head setting his sights on Ced in the ring before letting out a mist-like spit of water and started to make his descent down the ramp.
"And his opponent, from Greenwich, Connecticut, Weighing in at 255 Pounds. He is "The Cerebral Assassin", "The King of Kings", "The Game" Triple H!" Greg Hamilton announced.
Hunter had gotten around to the ringside area pausing momentarily as he set his gaze upon Ced before looking up and setting his sights on the steel cell hanging above. Triple H looked on with a smirk as the WWE Universe continue to give him the mixed reaction as he walked along the ringside area before getting up onto the apron and walking along to the center of the ring.
He looked around So-Fi Stadium with a frown on his face while a single spotlight shone over him. Triple H looked down before he hit his signature pose on the apron spitting out a mist of water as he did so. The WWE Universe was taking in the majestic sight as several members of the WWE Universe could be seen flashing pictures with their phones and cameras.
Triple H entered the ring and walked towards the corner while the lights were going around in a frenzy of colors. He stepped up onto the middle rope and started to talk his trash as he once again hit his pose in the corner. He peeked over his shoulder looking at Ced with a frown on his face as both men stared each other down.
Triple H stepped down off the turnbuckle as his music faded while the WWE fans were cheering in anticipation but the WWE Universe were forgetting about the entrance of one more participant in this match.

Gone insane
Fortune, fame
Mirror, vain
Gone insane
But the memory remains!
"Memory Remains" played on the PA system as the 2-ton steel cell started to lower over the ring while both men looked up staring as it rained down trapping them inside of the ring with another while the fans cheered.
The referee on the outside was checking on the door making sure it was locked before the referee inside the ring called for the bell.
Ding-Ding-Ding!
Ced vs Triple H for the first time and possibly the only time ever. A lot was riding on this Hell in a Cell match tonight. For Ced, this was his chance to get revenge against Triple H for screwing him out of the WWE title at the Royal Rumble and possibly end the career of "The Game". For Triple H, this was his chance to put down the man he once thought was gonna be one of his greatest creations and a chance to make sure that his career didn't end tonight.
The nerves were starting to stir in Ced. The near 80,000 fans were cheering very loudly. This was his first match inside the demonic structure that was Hell in a Cell. Meanwhile, for Triple H, this was his 10th appearance inside the demonic structure. So, the experience advantage was definitely on the side of Triple H in this contest but you could not deny the heart and drive of the younger superstar, Ced.
Ced and Triple H walked towards the center of the ring staring daggers into each other's soul. Triple H was talking trash as Ced stood there with a rather stoic frown on his face. "This is my ring! This is my show! I own this ring! I own them! And I own you!" That last statement was enough from Triple H to send wake up Ced and send him into a frenzy, throwing a right hand at "The Game". Triple H bounced back with his own punch, rocking Ced with a shot that sent him stumbling. Triple H with another shot making Ced back up into the corner. Triple H tried to hit Ced with a right hand but Ced grabbed Hunter and instead threw him into the corner.
"Young Simba" started to rock the former 14-time World Champion with a series of punches that left him stumbled in the corner before rocking "The Game" with a hard uppercut that left him stunned in the corner. Ced looked around the at the WWE Universe in Inglewood, California with a frown on his face. Ced walked over to "The Game" and tried to whip Triple H into the corner but Hunter reversed it and sent Ced hard to the turnbuckle causing him to flip over the turnbuckle and out to the ring shades of Harley Race with his patent turnbuckle flip.
Triple H looked on with a smirk as Ced was on the outside crawling to the apron. Ced's taped hands gripped the apron cover and started to rise back up to a vertical base. The former Intercontinental Champion looked into the ring as Triple H stared him down with that same arrogant smirk on his face. Ced slid under the bottom rope to get some offense in on the game but Triple H had other plans and started to put the boots to Ced looking to cut off the recovery time of the young star. Triple H bent down grabbing Ced by the head and neck lifting him to his feet before he rocked him with a hard right-hand that sent him crashing back down to the canvas.
Ced was able to rise back up to his feet and was caught with another right hand this time leaving him stumbling back to the corner. Hunter Hearst Helmsley was looking to continue his beatdown on Ced as he started to pile in a barrage of right hands that had the former Intercontinental Champion stunned. Hunter grabbed Ced by the wrist and whipped him hard into the turnbuckle across the ring. Hunter ran towards Ced only to be clocked with a back elbow that left him stumbling. Ced quickly hopped onto the middle rope before coming out hot with a blockbuster putting Triple H down in the ring.
The young 24-year-old WWE Superstar just showed his athleticism using it to get some much-needed separation from "The Game". Ced rose up to his feet and looked directly at Triple H, who began crawling towards the ropes. Ced started his assault by putting the boots to "The Game" much like Triple H did to him earlier. Triple H rolled out of the ring using his ring awareness to get some separation from the younger star but Ced wasn't having it and followed Triple H to the outside of the ring. Ced grabbed ahold of "The Game" and threw him shoulder-first into the steel steps at ringside. Triple H landed with a thud as the steps turned over due to his impact as he groaned out in pain.
Ced turned and looked around at the crowd who was cheering and clapping at the two gladiators in the ring battling it out for supremacy. The former 14-time World Champion crawled over to the cell wall and started to use to rise up to a vertical base. The former Intercontinental Champion walked towards Triple H only for Triple H to grab a hold of him and threw him FACE-FIRST INTO THE CELL WALL!
The fans booed as Triple H had risen up to his feet and was leaning up against the cell wall as he looked down at Ced. Evil ideas were starting to circulate in the head of The COO of WWE as he looked down at his former protégé. He walked over to Ced grabbed him by the head and neck, lifting him up to his feet, and tried to whip him into the cage wall but Ced reversed it sending Triple H BACK-FIRST INTO THE CELL WALL! Triple H bounced off the cell wall and was lifted up over the head of Ced with a back body drop sending him crashing down to the hard mat on the outside!
The fans cheered as Ced looked on with a frown on his face. He grabbed Triple H by the head and neck helping him to his feet before he slammed Triple H FACE-FIRST INTO THE CELL WALL! But Ced wasn't done and continued to slam Triple H's FACE REPEATEDLY INTO THE CELL WALL!
This match was highly personal with neither man holding back their blows. Make no mistake about it, they both were coming for blood! Ced mounted over Triple H and began to land right hand after right hand on the head of Triple H looking to punish the game for screwing him out of the WWE Title and putting him out of commission for a few weeks earlier this year.
Ced stood up and grabbed Triple H once more, lifting him up to his feet before he whipped him into the CELL WALL! Triple H screamed out in agony as he stumbled away getting some separation from the younger star but Ced wasn't having it and followed Triple H with a purpose. He grabbed ahold of Hunter's head and dragged him over to the steel steps and slammed him face-first into the steel steps leaving Hunter stunned. "Young Simba" grabbed a hold of "The Game" and tossed him under the bottom rope into the ring.
Triple H quickly scurried up to his feet as Ced slid under the bottom rope into the ring. "The King of Kings" clocked Ced in the gut with a knee before attempting to whip across the ring but Ced reversed it and sent Triple H into the ropes. Ced bent down looking for the back body drop but was caught by surprise when Triple H hit him with his patented facebuster knee smash.
Triple H stood up and backed up to the corner, raising his arms in the air before hitting his famous DX crotch chop before he ran towards Ced jumping up into the air to land a knee drop over Ced's forehead making him groan out in pain as he rolled over to the ropes and out of the ring. Triple H quickly exited the ring and walked towards Ced grabbing him before launching him FACE-FIRST INTO THE CELL WALL!
Ced dropped down on his back as the fans booed while Triple H taunted with a frown on his face. These two gladiators had been beating the hell out of each other for approximately 13 minutes and 42 seconds already and it felt like an eternity for either man. Triple H reached down under the ring only to pull out a steel chair. He looked on with a sadistic smirk as Ced reached over and gripped onto the cell wall using it himself up to a vertical base. Ced stumbled around only to be clocked IN THE HEAD WITH A STEEL CHAIR BY TRIPLE H!
The sound of Ced's head clashing with the chair rang out throughout the arena as he laid on the outside stunned by this attack. Triple H threw the chair into the ring before walking over to his opponent and lifted Ced up to a vertical base to show the BLOODIED FACE OF CED. The blood began to seep from the cut as Triple H started to pile in a barrage of right hands to the open cut of Ced trying to draw more blood from the young stud.
Triple H momentarily paused his offense as he started to taunt while the fans booed him loudly.
"You want to end my career? You want to end me, huh? I am the WWE! And you are nothing!" Triple H said as he stood near the cell wall talking his trash to Ced. Little did he knew Ced heard this and this was enough motivation for the young stud to run towards Triple H and HIT HIM WITH A SPEAR PUTTING BOTH MEN THROUGH CELL WALL!
The fans cheered loudly as Triple H and Ced both laid in a heap of bodies as the crowd began to chant "Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit!". Neither man had moved away from the carnage and the fans were loving it. Ced rolled off of Triple H's body and onto the padding on the floor. Ced crawled towards the cell wall and gripped onto the steel links of the cell to pull himself to a vertical base. He walked towards Triple H and grabbed him by the head and neck, lifting him up to his feet. Ced threw him face-first into the steel ring post with veracity. He leaned up against the ring apron as Triple H laid on the mats on the outside of the cell.
Ced walked towards Triple H and grabbed him by his neck and his trunks and quickly threw him into the ring not even seeing the sledgehammer that Triple H managed to sneak into his grasp. Ced slid under the bottom rope seeing Hunter rise up to his feet with his back turned to him. Hunter swung at Ced with the sledgehammer but Ced ducked it and instead kicked Triple H in the gut before dropping him with a DDT as his head bounced off the canvas.
As Ced laid on the canvas, he looked up at the lights dazed much like opponent. The blood loss was starting to get to him but he needed to finish this match, finish this fight. He rolled out of the ring and made his way to the steel steps from earlier and grabbed a hold of the top set before he slid them under the bottom rope as Triple H started to stir and crawl towards the ropes. "Young Simba" quickly slid under the bottom rope and ran Triple H only for "The Game" to hurl himself at Ced taking him down with a clothesline.
The WWE Universe booed as Triple H once again had Ced down. And Triple H wasn't looking to give the young star any time to recoup as he dragged him over to the steel steps and started to repeatedly SLAM THE FACE OF THE YOUNG STAR AGAINST THE STEEL STEPS!
Triple H with the relentless assault on the young star looking to end him permanently. He stood up and grabbed a hold of Ced by the head and neck making the star groggily make it up to his feet. Triple H set him up the pedigree looking to put Ced away much like he did last month on an episode of Friday Night SmackDown but Ced had other ideas and lifted "The Game" over his shoulders sending him crashing to the canvas with a back body drop! The body of Triple H landed with a loud thud as Ced dropped down to his knees panting for his breath.
Ced walked toward Triple H and mounted over "The Game" pounding away with a series of right hands on the face of "The King of Kings". His first priority was winning the match but his second priority was punishing Triple H as much as he possibly could and so far, he was doing a good job at it but at the cost of taking punishment on his own. "Black Leone" momentarily paused his assault on Triple H and grabbed a hold of "The Game" by his head and neck to try to mount some more offense but Triple H had other plans and countered with a kick to the gut. Triple H ran to the ropes and tried some offense but Ced caught with his patented DOUBLE C SPINEBUSTER ONTO THE STEPS!
The fans cheered loudly as Triple H rolled off the steps writhing in pain while Ced quickly scurried into the cover. First cover of the match.

2, Emphatic kick out by "The Game" Triple H. Triple H wasn't ready for his career to end and he was going to take as much punishment as he could to prolong his 26-year career.
Ced grabbed a hold of the steel chair that was in the ring earlier and raised up over his head as Triple H had rolled onto his back which proved to be a mistake. Ced slammed THE CHAIR INTO THE BACK OF TRIPLE H WITH VERACITY! OVER AND OVER LIKE A MADMAN, CED JUST BEAT "THE GAME" OVER THE SPINE WITH THE CHAIR! The chair finally snapped causing Ced to fling it away at the Cell.
The 2020 King of the Ring winner rolled out of the ring and reached down under the ring grabbing another steel chair and tossed it inside the ring. Triple H had started to move crawling towards the sledgehammer that he introduced into the match earlier on. Ced rolled back inside the ring and saw this, picking up the chair and made a beeline over to Triple H. And slammed the chair onto the SPINE OF TRIPLE H ONCE AGAIN!
The sound of steel hitting skin sounded through the arena as the WWE Universe had cheered him on. The referee, WWE Official Chad Robinson, could not do anything but watch these two men torment each other until one of them gave up for the count. Ced drove the edge of the chair into the spine of Triple H making him scream out in agony before he SLAMMED THE CHAIR INTO THE SPINE OF TRIPLE H AGAIN!
Ced just made it crystal clear that he was gonna do any and whatever it took to win this anything goes match. These men had been beating the hell out of each other for damn near 26-minutes and neither man was looking to give up. Ced walked over to the steel steps and set them up in the corner up against the turnbuckle perhaps looking for some unique offense. He made his way over to Triple H slowly as his face was now a crimson mask from the blood flow. He bent down grabbing ahold of Triple H and lifting him up to his feet.
He tried to throw Triple H into the steps but Triple H reversed it and sent Ced FACE-FIRST INTO THE STEEL STEPS IN THE CORNER! The fans booed as Triple H stumbled back to the ropes looking on as Ced had crawled over to the ropes and gripped onto the middle rope using the ropes to help pull himself to a vertical base. Triple H had walked over to the sledgehammer picking it up and raising it up in the air as the fans booed. Ced stumbled around before Triple H CLOCKED HIM IN THE FACE WITH THE SLEDGEHAMMER!
The fans booed as Ced dropped down to the canvas staring up at the ceiling as Triple H looked on with a smirk and sauntered over to the dazed and bloodied Ced. He put his foot over his chest raising his arms telling the referee to count as the WWE Universe booed.

Thr-NO, CED POWERS OUT! Triple H stumbled back to the ropes looking on disbelief as Ced just kicked out after what Hunter thought was gonna be it. Triple H shook his head looking in disbelief as he dropped the hammer to the side. He looked around with evil thoughts circulating in his head. He walked over to the steel chairs that were around from earlier and placed on down in the center of the ring. He grabbed a hold of Ced, dragging his near lifeless body up to his feet before HITTING CED WITH A PEDIGREE ON THE STEEL CHAIR!
No doubt about it, this was over. The Pedigree on the chair was the emphatic ending of Ced. Triple H with the hook of the leg.

Thr-NO, CED POWERS OUT AGAIN! The WWE Universe cheered at the resiliency of this young man while Triple H was flipping out in the ring. Most of the WWE Universe didn't know if it was heart or stupidity on Ced's part to continue this onslaught. No doubt this match could possibly take years off of his career maybe even his life if he kept it going.
We were approaching damn near 30 minutes of just carnage and destruction among these two superstars. Triple H shook his head looking out among the crowd who were cheering at the performance of these two stars. Triple H looked around looking for his sledgehammer, bending down to pick it up once more and stalked Ced who just looked up the lights, not knowing where he was.
Ced slowly started to crawl towards the ropes as the blood started to stain his wrist tape and his trunks now. He had grabbed a hold of the ropes using them to support as he dragged his body up to his feet. He stumbled around as Triple H waited for his opportunity to strike. As soon as he saw Ced in position, he charged towards Ced with the sledgehammer in hand but Ced, out of desperation, CHARGED TOWARDS TRIPLE H WITH A SPEAR THAT DAMN NEAR CUT TRIPLE H IN HALF!
The WWE Universe was going bananas as Ced grabbed a hold of the sledgehammer that Triple H was using earlier and stumbled back to the corner looking on as Triple H slowly started to stir as he clutched his abdomen while Ced stalked "The Game" waiting for a chance to strike "The Cerebral Assassin".
As soon as Ced saw his window of opportunity, he charged at TRIPLE H STRIKING IN HIM IN THE FACE WITH THE SLEDGEHAMMER! The WWE Universe cheered as Ced dropped down to a knee in the ring getting a much-needed breather while his blood dripped onto the canvas. Ced turned his head looking out to the crowd getting a look at fans who cheered him on.
Triple H had rolled over to the ropes and had himself propped up, leaning up against the bottom turnbuckle as BLOOD STARTED TO SEEP FROM A CUT ON THE HEAD OF TRIPLE H!
Both men were bloodied, battered and bruised after a near 32-minute match of pure hellacious beatings. Triple H gripped onto the ropes and started to groggily pull himself up to his feet as he stared into the eyes of his protégé. Both men were fuming with anger as their faces were crimson mask and with that, the two gladiators charged at each other and started trading blows back and forth.
Triple H managed to get the advantage hitting Ced with enough force to send him stumbling into the ropes. Hunter clocked Ced with another right hand before he whipped Ced into the ropes. Triple H ducked down looking for a back-body-drop but Ced hit "The King of Kings" with his own facebuster knee smash. Triple H stumbled back a bit from the move and this gave Ced enough time to run towards Hunter taking him down with a clothesline. Hunter popped back up and was taken down with another clothesline by Ced. Hunter popped right back up and tried to hit Ced with a clothesline of his own but Ced ducked it and hit the ropes, hitting Triple H with a Harley-Race style knee off the ropes.
"Come on!" Ced yelled out at the crowd as they were cheering from the top of their lungs. Ced nodded his head frantically as he looked around the ring before his eyes set on the steel steps from earlier. He pointed towards the steel steps as he nodded along to the cheers from the crowd. The bloodied former 14-time World Champion, Triple H crawled over to the ropes and used them to pull himself up to his feet. He stumbled around into a fireman's carry. Luckily, he was able to elbow his way out of the hold. Triple H grabbed Ced by his shoulder turning him around forcefully and kicked Ced in the gut before setting up for the pedigree.
But Ced saw an opportunity and managed to get an an arm free to maneuver his way out before Ced managed to get him up for the Deathbomb! AND CED WITH A DEATHBOMB ON THE GAME! He grabbed Hunter by the head and neck, lifting him up on his shoulders for another Deathbomb. Ced walked over to the steel steps and DROPPED TRIPLE H WITH ANOTHER DEATHBOMB ON THE STEEL STEPS!
The WWE Universe cheered as Ced very groggily covered his former mentor.

Ding-Ding-Ding!
The match was finally over. And the hellacious beating was finally over for both men as Ced rolled over and stared up at the ceiling laying on the canvas as the fans cheered while the cell started to rise up while Ced's music hit the PA system.
"Icon" Plays
"Here is your winner: Ced!" Greg Hamilton announced as Ced had managed to muster up enough strength to crawl towards the ropes and grip onto the ropes and slowly use them to pull himself his feet. He raised an arm in the air as the fans cheered while he leaned up against the ropes.
The referee started to check on Triple H as Ced stumbled over to the corner and leaned up against the turnbuckle. The loss of blood was getting to him and he was definitely gonna need stitches after this match. He watched as Triple H slowly started to crawl towards the ropes. He grabbed a hold of middle rope and started to use them to pull himself up to his feet.
The referee tried to help Triple H but he refused as Ced's music faded away. Triple H stumbled towards the center of the ring. Ced and Hunter stared each other down with blood cascading their faces. Hunter offered a hand out as a sign of respect as the fans cheered.
Ced came stumbling out of the corner towards Triple H and didn't shake his hand but rather engulfed him with a hug as the fans cheered. Even though these two men still beat the living hell of each other, Triple H was still the childhood hero of Ced and he wasn't about to forget that. The WWE Universe were going crazy as camera flashes could be seen from the crowd.
"Thank you for everything, you are the reason I do this. You are and will always be a hero to me," Ced said in his ear as he patted him on the back. Ced raised Hunter's arm in the air as the fans cheered before he exited the ring leaving Triple H there to have his last few moments in the ring as an in-ring performer at WrestleMania.
Ced slowly made his way back up the ramp as Triple H stood in the ring with a crimson mask covering his face looking out among the WWE Universe. Triple H took one last bow as the fans cheered and clapped in respect for "The Game". Triple H then hit his signature pose in the middle of the ring as his music played on the PA System.
Hunter exited the ring on his own accord to applause from fans as he made his way up the ramp. Once he made it to the stage, he looked around at the fans once more before he hit his signature pose one more time on the stage while the fans cheered before he walked back through the curtain.
(!)-(!)-(!)-(!)
Paul walked through the curtain after his defeat at the hands of Ced with a proud look on his face as a lot of members in the back clapped in applause for the 14-time World Champion. Paul smiled as he shook his head while walking towards his wife, engulfing her with a hug.
Among those guys clapping was Ced who now had a towel and a water bottle in hand. For Ced, that match was something that he needed. It was a monumental moment that would shake the rest of his career and he had to Paul to thank for it.
Paul gave his wife a quick kiss and walked over to his father-in-law engulfing him in a hug. This was an emotional moment for the man. This was his retirement match, his final match in his long-historic career. And it was an honor for him to bless Ced with that opportunity to do so. Paul looked up looking for the young star, seeing Cedric standing off to the side. Paul gave Cedric a nod making the young star smile. Cedric gave him a nod back and started to back away to allow Paul to soak in his moment.
Today, Cedric would celebrate with his family and friend but tomorrow, his road to superstardom would start tomorrow.
