chapter 2

Prowl woke up the next morning and he was a bit startled at first and remembered where he was and was a bit scared. He crept out of his room and heard something coming from another room. He followed the sound and saw Yoketron making breakfast. "Ah I see that you are awake," Yoketron stated.

"Morning," Prowl said.

"Morning Prowl I made breakfast," Yoketron said.

Prowl sat down at and started to eat when Yoketron placed the food down. "When we are done with our meal I will show you around the dojo," Yoketron said. "After all this is your home now you should know it," he said.

"Okay," Prowl said.

After breakfast was over Yoketron started to show Prowl around. "This is the washroom, here are the rooms I have for when bots come to stay and rooms for students, here in this room is where training is done." Yoketron told him. "This is the garden a place where many like to come and relax," he said.

"Train for what exactly?" Prowl asked him.

"To be a cyber ninja," Yoketron said. "I was taught this way by master and I am carrying on his work," he asked.

"What happened to him?" Prowl asked.

"He died from old age young one," Yoketron said.

"Oh," Prowl said. Prowl went into the garden and it reminded him of the garden his mother was planting. "My mom used to garden stuff like this," he said.

"She did?" Yoketron asked as he tended to one of the Cybertronian plants.

"Yes her garden was very pretty," Prowl said.

"Do you have a father?" Yoketron asked.

"No he died in an accident when I was about 4 years old. So I barely remember him," Prowl said. "So my mom took care of me everything all this time," he said. "I miss her," he said feeling tears come to his optics.

Yoketron came to Prowl. "I know you miss your mother greatly Prowl and remember something she gave up her life protecting you, and never forget her love," Yoketron said.

"She told me before she died that she was always going to be with me even if I can see her I don't know how that is even possible," Prowl said.

"Prowl let me tell you somethings my parents told me when I was a child," Yoketron said. "Once you loved someone they never leave your spark, her memory will always be alive in there." he said.

"What is the other thing?" Prowl asked.

"Its better to have loved to never have loved at all," Yoketron said.

After a couple of days Prowl was following Yoketron around. He liked to stay close by but other times he was curious and wanted to see what things lived in the guards and observe them.

Prowl heard something one day a bot was brought in for training. Prowl looked up at the bot. "What's with the kid?" the bot asked.

"He's an orphan that was brought in Lockdown he's under my care and protection," Yoketron said.

"Understand the care part but how can you an old rust bucket protect him and teach me anything?" Lockdown asked.

Prowl was startled by Lockdown and hid behind Yoketron. "If you can make it to the door before I stop you may go," Yoketron said.

"See ya," Lockdown said. Then took off and then before he or Prowl knew what was happening Yoketron kicked Lockdown into the wall. Prowl was amazed he didn't even register Yoketron moving it was so amazing.

Lockdown picked himself up. So Lockdown started his days as a student at the dojo. Prowl was amazed by the things that Yoketron was teaching Lockdown and was copying them. But he tumbled over most of the time.

"Talk about pitiful," Lockdown snarked one day when Prowl was imitating them again. Prowl had fallen to the ground on his face. Lockdown wasn't impressed he thought Prowl was just wasting his time. "You will not amount to something like this," he said.

Prowl looked so ashamed of himself and looked very sad too. Yoketron came over and helped Prowl up. "Lockdown is right I will never get it," Prowl said.

Lockdown just stood there and smirked.

"Now Prowl let me tell you something it doesn't matter if you don't get right the fifth time or the fiftieth time the important thing is that you keep trying. The more you try the more you will improve," Yoketron told him.

Prowl managed to smile then.

Yoketron then turned to Lockdown. "Lockdown I told you never pick on the weak, only cowards do that," Yoketron said.

"Yes sensei," Lockdown said and then glared at Prowl for getting him in trouble.

Prowl had his own fair share of chores to do at the dojo. He cleaned things up and watered the flowers. Lockdown seemed to be fond of being mean to him. He would trip him sometimes and other times he would make him spill something. Prowl didn't tell Lockdown to stop or tell Yoketron what was going on because Lockdown told him if he told Yoketron he wouldn't believe him that he was picking on him and throw him out on the street.

That made Prowl nervous. Prowl found peace watching the tech koi swimming in the pond. Yoketron was glad Prowl cared very much about his tech koi and fed them and kept them company. The koi seemed to like Prowl. He always told Prowl not to get to close to the edge or he could fall in. He also told him not run around by the pond because it's slippery.

Prowl listened to Yoketron he knew Yoketron was older and wiser and understood about stuff like this.

Yoketron cared very deeply for Prowl as he was the first child charge he had taken in he felt like Prowl was in need of more a father figure than a sensei.

Prowl saw Yoketron about to head out. "Where are you going?" Prowl asked.

"I'm going out to get some supplies you stay here," Yoketron told him.

Lockdown was standing there. "Lockdown keep an eye on Prowl, he's child and he needs to be watched closely," Yoketron said.

"Yes sensei," Lockdown said.

After that Yoketron left.

Prowl was now pretty nervous Lockdown was watching him and he was wondering what kind of mean stuff would Lockdown do while Yoketron was out.

Nothing good I can tell you.

To be continued.
