Author's Note: Oh, I forgot. This story is in between chapters after Gideon Rises in Cowboy-Alchemist's Gravity Falls story, Weirder Things. So this chapter is a catchup and flashback chapter. Basically, it'll have clips and lines from his story to help you catch up what is soon to come. Though the ending part will be original.
And I hope Cowboy-Alchemist will take up what I put in the story.
Gravity Falls: The Weird Files
Chapter 1: Re: Recap
Ah, Summer Vacation
A time for Leisure,
Recreation,
Spending time with Family.
But mostly, just taking it easy.
…
…
…
…
Unless you're in my situation.
Up on the edge of a cliff, there was a sign that said, "Welcome to Gravity Falls".
CRASH!
Until suddenly, a golf cart crashed right through it.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Two voices screamed out in fear, as said golf cart busted through. The golf cart drove off the cliff after breaking through the sign and fell nose first downwards a few feet, before landing on the dirt road. It swayed left and right, with two of the three occupants still screaming at the top of their lungs in fright, as the driver drove it off another ledge. Luckily it wasn't that far of a drop.
Though the two weren't screaming due to the driver's driving.
A few feet behind the speeding cart, a few trees were being toppled over, as a terrifying roar pierced the air.
One of the three occupants—a short twelve-year-old Caucasian girl with a slim figure, round blushing cheeks, long brown hair that reached her hips, brown eyes, and silver-colored braces, wearing white socks, black ballerina flats, a purple skirt, white undershirt, a blue hairband, and a baggy turtleneck sweater with a shooting star on it —turned her body around to face in the direction of the trees. "It's getting closer!" she said in fear.
"Most go faster! Most go faster!" The second kid in the cart said repeatedly. The second kid was a Caucasian boy that looked very similar to the girl: same hair color, build, and age of twelve. The only differences was that he had somewhat messier and shorter hair, and bags under his eyes, wearing a navy blue hooded vest, a reddish-orange T-shirt, gray shorts, white socks with a red stripe, and black sneakers. And if his hair was kicked up by the wind, you could see a birthmark on his forehead shaped like the Little Dipper constellation.
"I'm trying, but this is the fastest it's going to go!" exclaimed the driver of the cart. The driver of the golf cart was a 16-year-old Caucasian teen, with a scrawny but not gangly build, fit for his age but rather cute to some standards in teenagers. He had unkempt black hair that passed his ears, matching colored eyes, with bags under them. He wore a woodland camo-green boonie hat, a red T-shirt, blue jeans, and grey and black hiking shoes that looked like boots, with black socks.
Whatever it was that was chasing them casted a large shadow over the cart. A shadow that had shaggy hair on both sides with a pointed cone head, and had two very large hands. The two large hands reached out towards the moving vehicle. The older boy saw this in one of the side mirror's and pressed down on the gas pedal with all his weight, speeding the cart up just before the hands could grab them. However, this caused him to drive over a pile of randomly placed rocks, which acted like a ramp and had the golf cart jump off the ground. The cart spun in midair, then landed back on the dirt road.
It bounced off the ground a few times, before the driver got control of the vehicle and accelerated it away from the monster still chasing them. The driver had a determined expression, the boy next to him sighed in relief, and the girl on the boy's other side held a hand to her mouth with her cheeks puffed out, looking like she was going to vomit.
The teen then saw a shadow appearing on the below them. The three looked up to see a large tree sailing over the cart.
"Look out!" The girl pointed out in front.
It landed on the road in front of the vehicle. The teens' eyes widened at first, before he glared at the tree and speeded up. The two kids screamed in terror, as the cart came closer to their imitate collision.
Then everything paused.
Okay, I know what you're thinking. You're probably asking "How the heck did you get here? What is that thing that's chasing us? And where the heck or what the heck is Gravity Falls, and why I haven't heard of the town?"
Geez, what happened to us? This was supposed to be a normal summer experience. Just us against the world, away from home and our parents! And now look—we're driving away from a monster of both unimaginable horror and… weirdness.
But don't worry, there's a perfectly logical explanation for what's going on… Sort of.
But first, let's start from the beginning.
Oh wait, I already introduced myself. Well, I guess seeing as how this is a telling of stories that happened but weren't mentioned, I guess you could say this is a kind of re-introduction. First off, who I am. I'm the teenager driving the golf cart. My name is Patrick Pines.
The boy in the middle is my cousin, Mason Pines. We all call him Dipper though, for obvious reasons due to the birthmark on his forehead looking like the Little Dipper. And no, it's not because his parents, my aunt and uncle, hate him. They're very loving parents.
And the girl at the far right who looks like she's about to throw up is his twin sister and my cousin, Mabel Pines.
And as for our situation… well, the reason why we're in this situation is because my aunt and uncle, the twins' parents, decided that they needed fresh air to do the twins some good, and my parents wanted me to join them, mostly to watch over. But I think secretly, my mom wanted me to try and patch things up with a relative to where we were going. So all three of us got bus tickets to go on up north from California to a sleepy lumberjack town called Gravity Falls, Oregon.
But while there, we stayed with our great uncle's place in the woods. The Mystery Shack.
Back Earlier on Before the 'Giant' Incident
The Mystery Shack was located in the middle or close to the woods of Gravity Falls, which were no less than eerie if you go too far in where the sun don't shine. The cabin house had no less than four exists, the main entrance, the porch, had a small door which led directly to the floor room and the gift shop door. There was a cellar door under the gift shop window. It had a sloping roof which had the Mystery Shack name on it, though the S had been knocked down for some time, which gave it the misleading name Mystery Hack as a pun. The other side had a small platform which a cooler and some folding chairs as a hangout for the younger inhabitance to get a bird's eye view. The roof part with the GIFT sign also had a small weather vane that had the letters W,H,A, and T, along with a question mark atop.
At the moment outside, Mabel was rolling on the ground with a cute little pig. He was a light pink pig with a darker pink spot on his left eye, and two spots on his left side, one large and one tiny, close to his tail, with some additional spots on his right side body. His snout was a slightly darker hot pink color. He had a short, curly tail and his hooves were grayish black. His face was plump as he looked like he weighed 15 pounds. His name was Waddles, aka 15 Poundy by the farmer that had him on as a prize. Though it was mostly for eating than as a pet, but Mabel didn't seem to mind, as she and the little oinker got along greatly.
"~Rollin' in the mud, rollin' in the mud~," Mabel chimed out, as she rolled with Waddles, "~Rollin' in the mud with my favorite pig, Waddles~."
My cousin Mabel was a regular bag of sunshine. That's what Mabel's all about. She someone you can see looking at the bright side of everything. And a bit boy crazy.
Flasbhack
"My name's Mabel," she flirted with a boy in the gift shop, as she smiled, "But you can call me the girl of your dreams." But then she forcefully pushed him in with her enthusiasm to a rack of postcards, as she giggled, "I'M KIDDING!"
Mabel suddenly popped up next to a boy with a pet turtle, as she gasped, "You like turtles? I like turtles too. What. Is. This?"
A pimpled faced teen dressed up as a king, called out in a cracking squeaky voice, "Come one, come all. To the Mattress King!"
Mabel popped out of a wall of balloons, as she whispered to him in a creepy fashion, "Take me with you." Which caused the Mattress King to freak out and squeal like a girl.
Present Past
What'd I tell ya?
On the porch, sitting in the porch couch, Dipper was sitting on it, looking at a big old book in his hands, with a pen in his mouth, and an annoyed expression on his face, as a woodpecker was standing on his hat, pecking it. The hat had changed to a white and blue ballcap with a pine tree symbol on the front.
Dipper, on the hand, was always the one to stayed indoors and read mystery books. He had a thing for the supernatural and mysteries due to the Little Dipper birthmark on his forehead. Due to that, he can get a bit obsessive and blot out the whole world around him. Even going as far as to stay up super late days on end, or chewing his pens so hard they break.
And right on cue, Dipper's pen broke open, as the contents leaked out. He realized it as he spat it out, "Ah man. Dangit!" then threw the pens aside in a pile with other broken pens labeled BIT THROUGH PENS.
Though I'd be lying if I said I didn't have an interest in the strange and unusual. You see…
An x-ray showed of Patrick's feet, showing that he had six toes on each of his feet.
I have a weird but rare genetic defect… or trait as the doctors put it, that gave me six toes. It kinda makes me an outsider to others, and I get teased a lot about it. Which is why I always feel better seeing as how my family, and my twin cousins, don't seem to treat me like that.
Back at Present Past
Mystery Shack
"BOO!" Suddenly a guy wearing a green monster mask jumped out at him from behind the couch.
"AH!" Dipper yelped out in terror and shock, causing him to fall over.
The guy then took off his mask, revealing himself to be an old man with brown eyes, gray hair and eyebrows, a somewhat large pear-shape, reddish-pinkish nose, large ears, and fair skin, and a pair of rectangular glasses. His outfit consisted of a maroon fez with a gold pac-man symbol on it, a black suit, with the jacket buttoned closed, a bow tie, similar in color to his fez, a white dress shirt, and big light brown shoes. The old man started laughing at Dipper.
And last but not least of my family members at Gravity Falls is our Great Uncle Stanford, or Grunkle Stan, as Mabel calls him. I just call him Stan. Con-artist extreme, wanted for silly and questionable crimes (like pug-trafficking), but an all-around good guy to call your great uncle.
Stan slapped his knee with his right hand, while his left hand was holding onto a cane with an eight ball handle, as he laughed, "Oh man! It never gets old!"
This guy
He continued laughing at the glaring boy before coughing several times and hit his chest to clear himself. "It was still worth it," he said in between coughs.
Inside the Mystery Shack
I don't remember anything about him at the beginning, mostly because my mom always had this kind of grudge against him and never allowed any of us to visit him. It wasn't until later on that the reason why she stopped talking was because she was made an accessory for a serious, though somewhat questionable case of Llamacide. Though Grunkle Stan claimed the Llama knew too much; though what he knew Stan never talked about. It took a lot of convincing from my aunt, uncle, and dad to get her to agree to let me come, mostly for Dipper and Mabel's sake as they wanted to spend more time with me. The only thing I was able to learn about him at the time was that he transformed his house into a tourist trap he called "The Mystery Shack."
But like Dipper said, "The only real mystery is why anyone even came."
Grunkle Stan was leading a group of tourists through his knickknack museum of oddities, one of which being a Jackellope. "Ladies and gentlemen," Stan said to the group with excitement, "behold! The Sascrotch!"
Said 'Sascrotch' was nothing more than a model Sasquatch wearing underwear. The tourist started speaking excitedly and with wonder, clapping and cheering as some snapped pictures of it.
Patrick, who had been around the area sprucing up, looked at them with a small amount of disbelief, and slapped his face in exasperation. He then walked away from the group of tourists and entered into the gift shop of the Mystery Shack. In there, he found Dipper restocking some of the merchandise, and Mabel looking at a large fake eyeball with Waddles, probably some kind of a game.
And if you couldn't already tell, the three of us had to work there.
"Ooh!" She reached out to touch the eyeball, only to have her hand slapped by Stan's 8-ball cane.
"No touching the merchandise!" He told her.
Though we weren't the only ones working there. We actually found our first two friends in the Mystery Shack.
"~Do, dododo, dooo," said another employee, as he was changing a light fixture in the gift shop. He was a stocky guy standing around 6'0" tall, double chinned with a few hairs on his face which looked like they were glued on, short light brown hair styled similar to Dipper's, with his neck wider than his head or at least that it looked like, Hispanic though was Caucasian due to his light peach fair skin, in his twenties, and he had buck teeth similar to those of a beaver. He wore a light brown cap, dark brown shoes, beige shorts and a jade greenish gray shirt with a big Dark Green, poorly painted, question mark on the front and the word 'Staff' on the back.
The big guy is Soos Ramirez. He's been an employee at the Mystery Shack long before me and my cousins got here. A wise fellah in his own ways, a bit awkward, but friendly enough. Though at times he could be a bit weird, but I'm sure there were good reasons. He's one of the few people that I know who's aware of the um… situation, at Gravity Falls. He mentioned to me that he suspects that his mailman is a werewolf. Though I just saw he's insanely hairy.
"Hey, Wendy," Stan called out. "You managed to clean out the outhouse like I asked?"
The one he spoke to was at the cash register, sitting in a chair with their feet propped up on the counter, and reading a magazine.
The person was a fifteen-year-old Caucasian female; a year younger than Patrick. She was a very tall, attractive, and slim teenage girl. She had green eyes, a fair complexion with some freckles, a modest body with curves, and her most distinctive feature was her long red hair that just passed her hips. Wendy is a very tall, attractive, and skinny teenager. She was wearing a tan and dark brown lumberjack hat, an emerald-green plaid/flannel shirt with a white tank top underneath and the sleeves rolled up to her elbows, green stub earrings, dark blue jeans, and muddy rain boots with yellow and orange socks underneath.
"I would, but…" she said from her place at the chase register, sitting in a chair with her feet propped up on the counter, reading a magazine, stretching out her hand to it, but didn't bother to get up. "…I, ugh, can't, ugh, reach it, ugh..."
Patrick let out a quick snicker, careful not to have his Grunkle notices. But Wendy heard it and sent him a quick smirk to him.
And lastly, Wendy. Wendy Corduroy. The edlest child and only daughter to the Corduroy Family; one of the earliest settlers that founded Gravity Falls and. She's perhaps the best thing to come out of this place, and yes, I admit, when I first got here, I had a bit of a crush on her… okay, a huge crush, but can you blame me? The fact that she's a nice, mellow, fun-loving, and beautiful girl who happens working at Stan's place with us only makes it better. And while she's more of a slacker and I'm more of the responsible worker (who is prone to stress, sometimes), we've actually become friends quickly, after our first meeting involve her complimenting my boonie hat and me doing the same her lumberjack hat.
"I'd fire you if you weren't the only teen in town that took this job," Grunkle Stan grumbled, "That and worry your Dad, Manly Dan, won't flatten me with his Logging Truck."
So that's how it is. Me, Dipper, and Mabel against the everyday life of the Mystery Shack! Not how I wanted my summer vacation to be like, but at least I was able to be with my cousins, who I rarely see except for on holidays.
Little did I know that on one fateful day, everything was about to change…
Gravity Falls Forest
Flashback to Week 1 of Gravity Falls
While putting up signs around the forest to gain more tourists, Dipper and I discovered a control panel built into a tree. Within it, we found that it unlocked a secret compartment that revealed a journal.
The journal was a burgundy color, with various rips and tears which could have been due to aging, two gold lines on its spine, and all four of its corners are gold. However the most interesting part of the cover was that in the middle was a gold hand with six fingers and the number 3 in the middle.
Journal #3. That's when things began to change for us. And yes, it was the journal that Dipper was reading on the porch.
The journal was written by a researcher that had come to Gravity Falls nearly 3 decades ago, and began to uncover that Gravity Falls was a town of huge mysteries. Paranormal and supernatural occurrences. Entities that we only conceived as fiction in fairy tales or urban legends. Such as…
Gnomes
A bunch of Gnomes were atop each other forming a person with makeshift fake limbs, standing in front of a stunned Mable, who thought he was a vampire. The lead Gnome on top without a mustache, cleared up the room, "Okay then. We're Gnomes. I'm Jeff. And here we have Carson, Steve, Jason, and..." He stopped at the bottom left gnome, who had strabismus eyes and a grey hair, compared to Jeff's brown and the other's white hairs. "I'm sorry, I always forget your name."
"Schmebulock," Schmebulock said with a deeper voice.
Jeff snapped his fingers and pointed at him with a smile. "Schmebulock! Yes!"
Later on, the same gnomes had more gnomes come together forming a giant gnome monster led by Jeff to catch Mabel in an attempt to make her their new queen.
Ghosts
The Vandals of the Dusk-2-Dawn charged at Patrick, Wendy, and Wendy's friends, Nate, Lee, Tambry, Thompson, and the emo, Robbie Valentino.
Lake Monsters like the legendary Gobblewonker of Gravity Falls
The Gobblewonker swallowed the last barrel that Patrick had dumped into the river, and splashed at him as it went back into the water.
Cursed Wax Figurines
Patrick fought against a cursed figure of Sherlock Holmes who cried out, "I'm SHERLOCK BLEEDING HOLMES! LOOK AT MY MAGIFYING GLASS! IT'S ENORMOUS!"
Manitaurs (it's a play of Manly Minotaurs)
The Manitaur Tribe goes around acting manly, tearing their shirts off showing off their manly chests. One of them having three adam's apples and fists for nipples.
Mirror clones, time travelers, a carpet that could switch your mind with another's body and such. Dinosaurs, and government conspiracies like the 8-and-a-half President, Trembley. Even cases like local legends like the Summerween Trickster. That one I wanna forget too well. Even finding stuff that helped us out along the way, like size-altering crystals, a time tape measure, and so on.
It was pretty adventurous.
But we had trouble along the way. Such as the Tent of Telepathy and its founder, a psychotic ten-year-old named Gideon Gleeful.
As the lights shined on the currents in the Tent of Telepathy, a large, board shouldered silhouette walked onto the stage. However, when the currents rolled back, they were met with the sight of a short, stout kid with white pompadour hair bigger than his head, an upturned nose, blue eyes, and three freckles on each of his cheeks wearing a baby blue suit, a black shirt, an American flag pin on the left side of his collar, with brown, polished shoes, and a jade amulet on his bolo tie. "Hello, America! My name is Li'l Gideon," Gideon said before clapping his hand, making doves fly out of his hair and the crowd cheered.
Don't let the chipper and innocent look fool you. Behind that charming smile and Southern cuteness… lies the presence and mind of a psychopath and a megalomaniac all in one.
The chair spun around to reveal Gideon, sneering at Patrick while petting a doll of himself. "Hello friend." He greeted him in a creepy manner.
"I CAN BUY AND SELL YOU, OLD MAN!" Gideon yelled with a glare, while pointing a finger at his father.
How dare you! I am not a threat to be taken lightly!" Gideon then reached his arms up for the man behind him. "Come here hon', I need your arms." And so, the man grabbed Gideon and lifted him up. Holding the boy out in front of him. "I'll get you, Stanford Pines! I'LL GET YOU ALL!" Lawyer carried the little boy as he back out of the house. And they didn't even close the door.
"I COULD SQUASH YOU RIGHT NOW!" Gideon screamed with a pissed off, sweaty expression and raised his fist up to bring it down on the two boys who had been shrunken. Patrick and Dipper backed up, as they waited for Gideon to make the move. But after a moment of glaring at them, the big-haired boy glanced at his fist and calmed down. "Steel yourself, Gideon." He lowered his fist and started drumming his fingers together. "You can use them." His face was then shadowed to make him look more sinister and creepy, "You can use them..."
What'd I tell ya…
Although I'm not sure, but I think his attitude had something to do with the journals. Of which he was currently holding onto Journal #2. Which he had gained a variety of secrets like an amulet cow-tie which contained psychic powers ranging from telepathy to telekinesis, Egyptian-cursed Termites, and the means to summon a force worse than Gideon. A demon of the mind and the most powerful secret written in the journals…
Bill Cipher
Everything but the human turned black and white, after Gideon performed a ritual. Clouds were moving very fast that, as if someone recorded them and played that video a double the speed. Wildlife pauses, like dragonflies pausing in midair and frogs stopping after they leaped. And every thought the group could still move, they didn't as they watched the spectacle in front of them. Soos and Mabel looked in horror, while Patrick felt a hand on his, and he looked over to see it was Wendy. She was scared, as was he. He squeezed it for comfort.
But it didn't over yet. There was another flash of light, as a white isosceles triangle appeared. It grew unit it turned into something else. The white was replaced with a hole in the sky that showed outer space. Then small yellow flames ignited on the edges and corners of the triangle. To make it even more unsettling, a large slit eye appeared in the middle. The eye looked up at the sky and started laughing a highish, echoing laugh that seemed to come from every corner of reality.
Patrick felt Mabel throw herself into his arms, hiding his face in his sweatshirt. He held her with his hand holding the crowbar and hunched down. Wendy, still holding his other hand, got down with him and Soos. As the others shielded their eyes, Patrick stared at the eyes. Even Gideon looked afraid at what he had just summoned.
After the laughing died down, the void vanished, the flames went out, and the triangle took on a new form.
The being was a yellow, triangular creature who bore a strong resemblance to the reverse side of the Great Seal of the United States, which in turn consisted of the Eye of Providence and an unfinished Egyptian pyramid. About the same size as Gideon, he had a single large eye rimmed with short black lashes on the top and bottom. He had thin, black arms and legs and wore a small, black bow tie, and a tall, thin, black top hat that floated just above his head. He had no mouth whatsoever. The lower part of his body had a brick-like pattern of lines.
Even though the being didn't look all that threatening, there was something seriously disturbing about it.
"Oh, oh, Gravity Falls! It is good to be back," the creature said, floating down to Gideon and stared down at him. The being then floated around Gideon in a circle. "Name's Bill Cipher."
That guy.
Now I know what you're thinking. This guy a demon? No way. Well, just because he doesn't have horns, a tail, or a pitchfork with wings on him, doesn't mean he's not a demon. He's a mind demon. Maybe the most powerful one. For example…
"Oh, I know lots of things!" He said, blue light coming from behind him. Bill's eye widened as his body flashed many different pictures and images of various cryptic locations and visions. His voice turning into a slow, deep voice. "LOTS OF THINGS..." His body then returned to normal. "Hey, look what I can do!"
Bill gestured toward a deer that was nearby. He curled his fingers in, and to everyone's horror, the teeth of the animal were pulled right out of its mouth and gathered into Bill's hand. Patrick covered Mabel's eyes, as Wendy covered her mouth to keep herself from vomiting.
"Deer teeth! For you, kid!" Bill dropped the teeth into Gideon's hand, who cupped his hands to caught them.
Trembling in fury, he whipped around with an enraged glare and pointed at the humans. "YOU! You can't even imagine what you just cost me!" He yelled at them. Bill held out his hands behind him and conjured a ball of fire in each of them. "Do you have any idea what I'm like..." His voice changed to a low, demonic one. "WHEN I'M MAD?!"
Bill started flashing several cryptic characters in his eye and projecting them on their faces and chests. The gang looked very afraid for what was going to happen, and rightfully so. Bill launched the fires from his hands and created a ring of fire around them. Trapping them in it. Bill then raised his hand up high, and a giant rock in the shape of Stan's head popped out from their feet and raises up. Lifting the group out of the grey mindscape and into an infinite space cosmos.
The triangular dream demon's size started increasing. Growing larger until he was towering over the frightened Mystery Crew. Mabel, Wendy, and Patrick gasped in horror. Soos pointed at Bill. "So I guess he gets really mad when he gets mad," he simply pointed out.
"EAT NIGHTMARES!" Bill's demonic voice roared, shooting lightning from his hands.
Returned to normal, Bill casually floated to Patrick, after a failed attempt to make a deal, "Hey, wanna see my impression of you in about five seconds?" His eye and face stretched in fear as he flailed his arms around, as he screamed, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"
See? He's more than what he seems. In fact, Journal#3 states that he's the most powerful being the author ever came across. And there are frequent warnngs about him stating DO NO SUMMON AT ALL COSTS. One reason was that he possessed my body as a living puppet to destroy said journal.
But I'm getting ahead. When Bill disappeared after our first encounter, we had lost the Mystery Shack to Gideon after he stole the deed. Though due to his innocent appearance, everyone in town, minus our friends and family, were with him instead of seeing the truth. Because we didn't have a home or a shack, Grunkle Stan and my Grandma Veronica had to send us back to California. But before we could even make it haflway back, Gideon chased after us in a giant robot of him, interrogating us for a Journal #1, planning to kidnap Mabel in an insane attempt to force her to love him and make her his queen, and was about to murder Dipper by dropping him off the canyon train bridge that was atop Gravity Falls. Though at the time, we didn't have Journal #3 as Gideon took it, but my skills and determination didn't deter me, as I still had a chance to beat him. And it didn't hurt that I had made a new size-altering flashlight with a new crystal on hand to make myself giant, save my cousins and send us both crashing down defeating him.
But at that time, the cops were still on Gideon's side… until Grunkle Stan and Grandma Veronica showed up, revealing to everyone that Gideon had placed spy cameras around town in pins to learn of everyone's secrets. Because of that, the truth was revealed and Gideon Gleeful was thrown in adult-jail. But not before we got Journals #2 and #3, and the Mystery Shack Deed back.
We got the shack back, things got back to normal, and yeah, the craziness didn't end there. Apparently, government agents who looked like they had sticks up their butts showed up. The two being Agents Powers and Trigger, the former having a rare disability to humor.
"What is that thing that your mouth and voice are doing," Powers asked, as he calmly looked at Stan who nervously laughed.
We had also learned that Stan and Veronica had known the secrets of Gravity Falls being a cosmic G-Spot for weirdness galore. Though it feels good not to hide it from them so much. But our biggest mystery has been finding the Author of the Journals, and learning stuff about what it is that he hid the journals for.
Though during that time, things between me and Wendy have… evolved, I suppose you could say.
While she knew this was going to hurt her, no way could Wendy have imagined how gut-wrenching this goodbye really was. Who was she going to ask for help? Who would be with her to pull pranks and tell jokes? Who be there to brighten her day? Patrick was the only person in the world that made her feel like she was a kid again. Never in her life has she met a person like him, and Wendy had fallen hard for him.
As Patrick was about to take a step on the bus, Wendy suddenly rushed over to him. She grabbed him by his should, spun him around, and took him completely by surprise when she grabbed the sides of his face and gave him a long, passionate kiss. Patrick's eyes widened as he stared at the redhead, who rubbed his cheeks softly with her thumbs.
And even after the Bunker Incident involving a crazy Shapeshifter…
The smoke cleared away, and Wendy was lying on the ground on her shoulder. Her back facing Patrick.
Patrick gasped in horror. "Wendy!" He dashed over to her and knelt down. Gently he picked her up in his arms. She wasn't breathing and wasn't responding. "Can you hear me? Oh, please be okay, please be okay!" He shook her, but Wendy didn't respond. Wendy's body was as lifeless as a rag doll. Head fell to the side with her bangs falling in front of her face. Patrick quickly grabbed her wrist and hope, prayed that there was a pulse.
There was no pulse. Tears started welling up in his eyes as he shook his head in disbelief. This couldn't be happening. The idea that his longtime crush could be so easily gone was impossible for him to think about. She really couldn't be dead. Patrick didn't think it could be possible. That he was never going to hear her laugh. Never see her smile. Never have moments to joke around. Never have her there to get him out of a pinch. Never have more adventures with her. Never have her in his life again.
Patrick started sobbing, shaking his head desperately. "Don't do this, Wendy. Please don't do this. No...No..." He hugged her body to his body. Putting her head in his chest as he placed a hand on her red hair. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Wendy! This is all my fault! If I had just told you when we were in that closet we wouldn't be in this mess! But I was too scared and now you could be hurt or worse, and I never even got to tell you I—in love with you!" Patrick finally confessed, but he was far from happy. All he could feel was nothing but guilt, despair, and heartbreak as he continued to cry, hold his crush in his arms. "I love you, Wendy...I love you..."
It would have been super awkward seeing as how the Real Wendy was behind me and that I was cradling the Shapeshifter faking it, but in the end…
Wendy rolled her eyes and laughed. "Dude, don't be itchy, man, and let me tell you something..." She looked away for a moment, sheepishly smiling. Patrick was then surprised when the redhead pulled out the very same drawing he made of her that day with the Windmill Vandal ghosts. "...I've always kinda known."
Patrick's eyes widened, feeling even more embarrassed. "Wait, you did?"
Wendy chuckled. "Yeah, man. It was kind of obvious...and well, I'm scared too."
"Why would you be scared?" Patrick asked before Wendy stood up. She then grabbed Patrick's hands and pulled him to his feet. Gazing at him with eyes filled with passionate emotions, Wendy smiled loving at him. Raise up their hands and interlocking them.
"Because...there are so many things I love about you."
The Pines teenager's eyes widened and his mouth hung slightly open.
"You're very talented with the saxophone. Your extra toes are unique and cute. You have a great moral compass and are a voice of reason in this crazy town. You're really smart and brave, even when you're scared. And most of all, Patrick, this summer was super boring until you showed up. I have more fun with you than practically anybody else. And if you had died or we stopped being friends, ... I would, like, throw myself into the Bottomless Pit!" Wendy exclaimed, laughing. Patrick smiled slightly. Wendy then looked down a little, her heart felt like it was on cloud-9 as she was finally telling Patrick everything she's always wanted to tell him. "You make me feel safe and I can be my true self...you're the single greatest guy I've ever met...you're my hero..."
"Wendy..." Patrick in a hushed voice amazed. "Do you..."
"Wait...," Wendy said, looking down in shame by the hurt look on Patrick's face. She wanted to tell him so badly, but fear was still stopping her. "I'm still afraid, Patrick. I never felt this way before. But I...I-I..."
"Wendy." Patrick moved closer to her, holding her hands tighter, and continued in his hush voice. "Tell me what you want me to do. Tell me what you feel."
She didn't think, didn't let her fears stop her, and leaned forward. Patrick saw it coming from miles away and leaned forward at the same time. At that moment, Patrick and Wendy's lips locked to share a kiss. This wasn't like at the bus stop. This time, she wrapped her arms around his neck, and he wrapped his arms around her waist. Both hold a long, passionate kiss that shared with them all the emotions and feelings they had for one another. The fireflies all started flying faster around them, before leaving the area.
When they pulled away, Wendy looked at Patrick as the were blushing messes and smiled lovingly at each other. "Patrick, I want you to love me...because I love you."
Patrick's face filled with radiant happiness as tears started to well up. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Wendy, the girl of his dreams, loved him in return. "Wendy..."
"You just have to defeat my Seven Deadly Exes."
Patrick's eyes widened in horror, "Wait, what?"
Wendy pulled down the wide-brim of his boonie hat and she laughed. "Come on, I was joking with you," she said with a teasing smirk.
After that, we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. And no, I didn't have to fight Seven Deadly Exes. That's why I love her.
This summer has only been halfway through, and already it has been one of the craziest even with all that's been going on. But the best ever since my family's gotten closer together, we've had the craziest adventures. I even confessed to the girl of my dreams, and she reciprocates my feelings, and we're going out.
But things have been nagging at me lately. Especially with what the Shapeshifter said back in the bunker:
But even before they could leave the room, they heard the shapeshifter laughing a low, ominous evil chuckle from inside the tube. Stopping and turning back, they found the shapeshifter pound its hands against the glass. Everyone gasped before it started talking directly at Patrick. "You think you're so clever don't you, Patrick? But you have no idea what you're up against. You will never find the author. Try as you may, but if you keep digging, you'll meet a fate worse than you can imagine. And this will be the last form your family ever take!"
The shapeshifter turned into a horrific and grotesque mix-mash of Dipper, Mabel, Patrick, Wendy, and Soos with their arms. All the heads screamed in pain and pain, reaching up for the air before being frozen. Forever preserved in that terrifying form. As ice completely covered the surface of the glass, all Patrick could do is stare at the shapeshifter and his own reflection on the tube in stunned horror.
Though something in my mind has been buzzing ever since we first defeated Bill Cipher in Grunkle Stan's head.
"KNOW THIS,"Bill Cipher said in his demonic voice, holding up his arms above him and summoning a six-fingered hand out of blue flames. "A darkness approaches. A day will come in the future when everything you care about will change!"
And it also doesn't help that there's a hidden message in the 3rd Journal in Invisible Inkk on the page of a strange blueprint, as it read..
The machine was meant to create great knowledge, but it is too dangerous. The device, if fully operational, could…
And that's it. That's the message that's got me worried. With only Journal #3 slightly finished, the pages are being filled with Dipper currently filling in the blanks as well as finding out the rest. More mysteries piled up to more mysteries, which has led me to an idea of recording new discoveries every day. These cases and mysteries are relatively new, or old that nobody's noticed.
I don't wanna take Journal #3 from Dipper all the time. But I also wanna record the goings on that Dipper and Mabel aren't around for.

Patrick's Room
The spare room that had been found by Soos was Patrick's new room after the Sleepover incident, including the mind-swapping carpet. Of which had been rolled up and now put in storage to ensure it wouldn't be found again. Even a shelf was converted into a trophy case of sorts, as it had Patrick's red-handled crowbar, the shotgun from the future, and a variety of foundings of each adventure. Patrick was currently at the desk of it, his boots and socks off, revealing his six toes, and cuts of gold paper on the floor around him. At the desk, Patrick was putting the key touches to a thick green journal-shaped book, that was of similar design to Journal #3. It was sporting a camouflage green colored front and back, with a flannel piece of cloth acting like a bookmark, and on the upper part of the book's spine, was a glued fragment of a size-altering crystal that wasn't big enough to fit on the flashlight.
His hat and jacket off, Patrick's serious face was at play, as he brushed on the front of it rubber cement. Once there was a big enough splotch on it, he placed on top of it a golden cut-out of his six-toed left foot. Once he pressed down hard on it, and rubbed it out to smooth out the wrinkles.
And as such…
Patrick then took out a black sharpie marker, and wrote on the golden cut out… 4.
I began to write my own journal detailing the Weird Cases I, Wendy, and everyone else that was along, of the summer events of Gravity Falls…. Which would later be known as….

Next Chapter: The Case of Squeezin' Eddie
And there you have it, a mid-series of events in the story, Weirder Things, by Cowboy-Alchemist. This first chapter was a kind of flashback chapter detailing the events in Cowboy-Alchemist's story, so there will be stuff that seems familiar to his story.
