Byleth awakened, finding herself in a small room. "Where am I…?" She wondered as she wandered around. Is this my old home? She thought, seeing scenery that was all familiar to her. She would then open up the back door and found herself walking through a path.

She soon saw a lake up ahead, and as she kept walking, she would see a familiar person sitting on the docks. Could it be? She thought as she walked over.

"Care to cool off? The fish are active today."

"…Dad?"

He let out a chuckle. "Hey there, kiddo." He said as Byleth sat down next to him.

"How…? Am I dead…?"

"You could say that, or you could just be in-between the land of the living and death. It's up to you to figure that out."

"I see…" Byleth looked down at the water.

"I have to say, normally I've never seen you or your brother so chatty before." He said. "Heh, you could barely form a couple of sentences… and then when you two met those three, it's like you started to come out of your shells."

"You taught us how to become mercenaries… we didn't have time for small talk. We'd always go out and be formidable bandits."

Jeralt let out a chuckle. "That's true. Usually it was one sided conversations…"

"Yeah." Byleth chuckled with him. "…Listen, dad, about what happened-"

"Don't beat yourself up. You did all you could to try and save me. I don't blame you for not saving me when you tried your damnedest. Heh… I've already beaten myself up for trusting Monica, or should I say Kronya." He looked to her. "You're too hard on yourself."

"I know…" Byleth looked down.

"I get it. With that power of yours that Sothis had given you, even I would have my breaking point over saving my friends by rewinding time. It would drive me insane… but, as I said, don't beat yourself up. What matters to me is that you tried all you could to save me."

He would then ruffle her hair. "You did good, kiddo… Those Who Slither In the Dark are no more."

Byleth blushed at the ruffling her hair. "Yeah… that's good." She said as she looked up at the sky. "I've missed you…"

"Yeah, I've missed you too." Jeralt said, wrapping his arm around his daughter to give her a side hug. She returned the hug and leaned her head on his shoulder. "Oh, that reminds me, there's someone I'd like you to meet."

"Hmm?"

Footsteps were heard on the dock as Byleth turned her head. She let out a gasp with her eyes widening. "I'm back! I couldn't just pick one flower out of-"

"…Mom…?"

Sitri's eyes widened. "Byleth? Oh my goodness, look how much you've grown!" She gushed as Byleth stood up. "You've turned out to be so beautiful!"

Tears swelled in Byleth's eyes. "Mother…" She could only say as she felt herself walking over to her and hugged her, where Sitri returned the hug. "It's really you…"

"Yes, honey… it's me." Sitri smiled as the two looked each other in the eyes. "You've turned out to be a brave young woman, I'm so proud." She said as she leaned up and kissed her on the forehead.

Byleth blushed a little. "Y-yeah…" She said, wiping her tears.

"You're a hell of a fighter, kiddo." Jeralt said. "You don't go down that easily, no matter what's thrown at you. Could say the same for your brother. I trained you both and look how well that paid off."

"Mhm!" Sitri smiled. "You could stay with us now. Rest after so long."

Byleth frowned. "As much as I would love that… I don't think that's the right call for me. I've done so much for everyone that if I just end up dying, I don't know what anyone would do. They still need me down there."

Jeralt chuckled. "We had a feeling you'd say that."

Sitri nodded. "Even when you're at death's door, you're still fighting."

"Yeah… I don't want to leave everyone behind. That's not who I am."

Jeralt chuckled. "Funny, you and Bereto didn't care much about anything, yet going to that monastery changed you. It was enough to make my own head spin."

Sitri hugged Byleth again. "I love you, honey… both of us do."

"I love you too." Byleth hugged her again and then took a step back.

"See you around, kiddo." Jeralt said.

"Yeah… see ya." Byleth nodded and then closed her eyes.

"Mmm…" Byleth let out a groan, opening her eyes as she shifted her eyes to look around the room. She was in a hospital room. She would hear noise nearby as she looked up to see a TV had been turned on.

"Duck season!"

"Rabbit season!"

"Duck season!"

"Rabbit season!"

"Rabbit season."

"Duck season! FIRE!"

Cute. Byleth thought as she sat up, but she felt restrained. She would see that she had IVs on her arms and had an oxygen mask over her mouth. Huh? She thought as she pulled it off. She took a deep breath and exhaled. She instinctively took off the IVs and sat on the edge of the bed. She would notice she was wearing a hospital gown.

"How long was I out…?" She asked croakily, then felt incredibly sore. "Mmmph!" She winced as she looked down to see that she was covered in bandages. She remembered what Nemesis had done to her. Ohright… She thought as she planted her feet on the ground and started to walk… only she fell. "Wah!" She yelped, catching herself as she turned to her legs. "Come on…" She slapped her legs and feet. "Wake up."

"Hmhmhmhm~" A voice hummed as Byleth kept slapping her legs to wake them up, then she heard footsteps as she looked up to see Mikan walking in. "Oh!"

"Um… little help?" Byleth asked with a small embarrassed blush.

Mikan giggled. "Of course." She said as she picked up Byleth and put her back on the bed.

"How long was I out?"

"Oh, a few days. The infirmary at Garreg Mach was destroyed so they had to bring you here so we could treat you." Mikan explained, grabbing her legs and pushing and pulling them gently to get the blood flowing again. "You had a bit of a scare, you nearly died on us a few times but I made sure you'd get out okay. You're a fighter, there was no way I was going to let you die."

"Oh…" Byleth turned her head and saw flowers on the table, especially with a few "Get well soon" cards. She let out a smile as she then felt the feeling in her legs returning. "Hey, I can feel them again."

"That's good." Mikan smiled. "I'll let your visitor know that you're wide awake." She said and walked out. "By the way, I don't know what kind of TV you like to watch, so I went ahead and picked out something wholesome."

Bang!

"…You're despicable!"

That's considered wholesome? Byleth thought with a raised eyebrow.

"Byleth!"

Byleth turned her head to see Ruby at the other end. "Oh, Ruby!" She smiled warmly as Ruby walked over.

"How do you feel?"

"Mmm, achy… but I should be alright." Byleth said. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. I was more worried about you… heck, everyone's worried. Also, you should consider yourself lucky Mikan found you and not Claude. He kept going on with "When Teach wakes up, I'm gonna prank her good and tell her that she's been asleep for five years"." She said in a imitating voice.

Byleth snickered. "I can see him doing that."

"Yeah." Ruby giggled.

Byleth took Ruby's hand. "I… have to thank you for being there for me. Honestly, I didn't think I'd ever reach my breaking point." She said before her eyes widened. "Wait… crap! Did anyone-"

"Everyone made it out. We lost a few soldiers but everyone made it out."

"What about Hilda and Nora? They were at ground zero when Nemesis unleashed that explosion!"

"They're fine. They were just released from the hospital yesterday. They got banged up pretty good but they're alright."

Byleth sighed with relief. "Thank Sothis…"

"Yeah, we were more worried about you. Dorothea checked up on you all the time, Edelgard, Sothis, Seryu, the twins, I did… heck, Marnie came to check on you just yesterday. You were getting slaughtered out there. It's just… you've done so much for all of us, especially with me and the twins, we thought we would return the favor. We love you so much, sis!"

"And I love you to-… wait, did you just call me "sis"?"

Ruby blushed. "Uh… crap, that slipped out. That's not what I-"

Byleth giggled. "Where did that come from?"

"Well…" Ruby tapped her fingers together. "How do I explain this-"

"That I've always been there for you like a sister?"

"Yeah." Ruby nodded. "Just yesterday when I didn't leave your side, Yang was with me and mom came in to check in to see how we were doing. When she saw how much I cared for you, she joked that the way how we care about each other, you could definitely be an older sister to me."

"…In front of Yang?"

"She took it pretty well, even laughed about it." Ruby chuckled. "We all had a pretty good laugh and even Yang was like "I wouldn't be surprised if we adopted Byleth!"."

Byleth blushed. "Heh… I can see that." She put her finger on her chin thoughtfully. "So would I be a Rose or a Xiao Long?"

"I think you'd still be an Eisner."

Byleth giggled. "True." She said.

"…You know, I'm surprised you're taking this too well. I thought you would've been weirded out."

"Rubes, I've seen things that weirded me out the moment I walked through the Smash Mansion for the first time. Nothing weirds me out anymore… and besides, nothing can top space exploration."

"True." Ruby giggled.

"Come here." Byleth pulled her arm and gave her a hug. "Honestly, I love you too much Ruby… I'd be happy to be your adopted older sister."

"Really? Awesome!" Ruby returned the hug, though it was a little tight.

"Oooh! Careful! I'm still a little sore!" Byleth winced.

"Sorry!" Ruby pulled away with a sheepish chuckle before planting a small kiss on her cheek, both of them unaware of Yang leaning in the doorway, and with a chuckle, Yang started texting Summer.

"Congrats. I'm the middle child now."

"…?"

"Ruby just confessed that she sees Byleth as an older sister… and I believe Byleth just practically adopted her way into the family."

"LOL! I was just joking! I didn't really mean it!"

"So, what do we do now?"

"What do you think, silly? When she's cleared out of the hospital, send her to Patch. Rosie and I will bake her some cookies."

"Will do."

"Alright, you're good to go." Mikan walked in. "Oh, and by the way, some friends are waiting for you in the lounge."

"Okay." Byleth nodded, getting off of the bed as she walked out with Ruby and Yang, and when they walked into the lounge, they would see all the students there, including Rhea, Seteth, Alois and the other members of the Church of Seiros, even Umber, the twins, Mega Man, JNPR, the Phantom Thieves, Sheele, Seryu and the other Lords and friends were there

"Well, look who it is!" Leonie smiled.

"It's about time you woke up, Teach. You've been asleep for five years!" Claude said.

"Yeah, I already gave her the heads up on that prank." Ruby told him.

Claude slumped a little, sweatdropping. "Dammit, I bought this fake beard for nothing then…" He said, pulling it off.

"Told you it wouldn't work." Lysithea shook her head.

"Once Mikan told us you were awake, we all came over to see how you were doing." Seteth said. "Ms. Marvell decided to bring a treat over."

"I couldn't decide if I wanted to go with root beer floats or milkshakes, so Seryu suggested both." Sheele giggled.

"Hey, it's the best of both worlds." Seryu shrugged.

"And I cannot believe we don't have this in our time. The root beer with the ice cream is extremely delicious! I can't believe Jeralt died without even tasting this wonderful concoction! And get this… with milkshakes, you can actually DRINK the ice cream, can you believe it!" Alois said as he happily drank his milkshake a bit fast. "Ooooh! My head! Why must it hurt when I'm drinking this beautiful concoction!"

"It's called a brain freeze, you dummy." Shamir said.

"How do I thaw it out!"

"Oh brother." Sothis rolled her eyes as she walked over to her. "So, your old jacket and outfit have been extremely torn up, so Dorothea decided to get you something from the Mushroom Kingdom. I was going to appoint Lucina, but Frederick talked me out of it."

"I'm still amazed Coco hasn't given up on you…" Tharja snarked.

"I've heard Obero got involved." Leo said.

"Seriously… what's so bad about a tiger print shirt with polka dot pants? It looks cool." Lucina said.

"Everything's wrong with that!" Caeda said exasperatedly.

"…Now I understand why." Sothis rolled her eyes.

"This bag is a little heavy for just clothing…" Byleth said.

"Well, there's a little surprise in there." Sothis said. "Ruby and I pitched in and, well, take a look."

Byleth dug deep into the bag and pulled out the Sword of the Creator, fully patched up. "The Sword of the Creator?!"

"Yup!" Ruby smiled. "We both thought it'd be cool if we repaired it for you."

"I honestly wasn't a big fan of the idea considering I was reparing my old bones, but… eh, you're a hell of a fighter with it so I just took one for the team." Sothis shrugged.

Byleth set it down. "Thank you." She hugged the two of them, and then hugged her girlfriend where Dorothea kissed her on the cheek, then she hugged Bereto.

"What are you standing there for. Get dressed in that new outfit!" Dorothea smiled.

"Sure." Byleth nodded as she started to take off her hospital gown.

"Whoa whoa whoa, wait! In the bathroom, not here!" Edelgard exclaimed.

"Oh!" Byleth blushed sheepishly and moved to the bathroom.

"Dammit El, we were this close to perfection." Sylvain said, earning a harsh fist from Ingrid. "Mmph!"

"I wonder if she would've made a wonderful muse…" Yusuke wondered, earning harsh elbows from Makoto and Ann. "Mmph! Perhaps later?"

A minute drew by as Byleth emerged after changing. She would now be wearing black fingerless gloves, a light green tank top, ripped up jeans and black tennis shoes. "I question the quality of these jeans…"

"They were like that when I bought 'em." Dorothea said.

"They sold these like that? …Huh. Okay then." She would then grab a milkshake of her own. "So, now what?"

"Well, a new dawn is rising in Fodlan. Without Those Who Slither and Nemesis, Fodlan will now truly be at peace." Rhea explained.

"Of course, we'll still be training the students in case a new threat arises and invades Fodlan." Seteth said. "Or, in case Remnant needs our help, we will be happy to assist."

"Indeed." Rhea nodded.

"Yeah, I've a feeling there will be tensions for a while in Fodlan but… eh, I'm sure we can manage." Sothis said.

"What about Garreg Mach?" Byleth asked.

"It's already been rebuilt." Sothis responded. "Rhea was amazed that Master and Crazy Hand were able to fix everything up so fast."

"…I've never seen a remodel done within five seconds." Rhea said, rubbing her head.

"Business as usual then, I'm assuming." Byleth said.

"Yeah, although… I think it would be best if we all took it easy for a while." Sothis said. "Considering we just finished up a war, everyone's still a bit on edge, so I talked with Rhea and Seteth and we decided the best course of action is not resume classes for the next while. Give everyone time to breathe."

"Yeah… that would be a good idea." Byleth nodded.

"Indeed." Robin nodded. "Everyone deserves a breather."

"So until then, everyone can just enjoy themselves." Sothis smiled.

"That reminds me." Yang took Byleth's hand. "You should come with us to Patch." She said and took her away.

"Whoa!"

"Hey, wait up!" Ruby took off after her, as Claude, Bereto and Dorothea looked at each other and then decided to tag along.

Wanna see what they're up to? Xena asked.

"Sure."

Xena teleported away while everyone dispersed and went about to do their own thing. Akechi walked out with hands in his pockets and walked around Toad Town. "Heeeeey, Akechi!" A voice called out as he turned to see Sora waving him over.

"Oh, hello Sora, what can I do for you?"

"You know Vernal, right?"

"Yeah, I believe Yusuke painted a picture for Raven so you could all see what she looked like. Why?"

"You're gonna have to come see this." Sora took his hand and yanked him away via AirStepping.

"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOA!" Akechi yelped as Sora reached their HQ.

"Here we are!"

"Next time, warn me…" Akechi said, shaking like a leaf before composing himself as they walked in, then they stepped into the teleporter that took them to Radiant Garden.

BGM: Radiant Garden (Kingdom Hearts III: ReMind)

"I got him!" Sora said.

"Good." Ansem nodded. "Apologies for the short notice, but something had come to our attention."

"Oh, it's fine… what seems to be the situation?"

"Well, we know that you were at Raven's camp for a time and you got to know the bandits there, correct?"

"Yeah… I mostly spent time interacting with Raven and Vernal. Why?"

Ansem turned around and walked the other way with Akechi behind him. "A few days ago, something had happened at Twilight Town. Roxas and one of his friends had found someone and brought them here."

"Who was that someone?" Akechi asked as they walked into the library, where they spotted a woman looking through paintings. His eyes widened in surprise. Despite the longer hair, he knew exactly who that was. "…Holy…"

"She had been turned into a Heartless, yet her strong will had brought a Nobody into the equation." Ansem said. "Usually, when someone turns into a Nobody, they have an X in their name and their names are scrambled into a new name. Sora/Roxas, Lea/Axel, Ienzo/Zexion and so on. The only exception was Namine, for she was born in a more unique way."

"I see… so this is Vernal with an X in her name. So this is what… Relvanx? Xenralv?"

"Interesting guesses, but no. You see, after Xehanort's defeat, the X no longer means anything. So in short, it's just Vernal as an empty husk."

"That's sad…" Akechi said as Vernal's Nobody turned around, spotting Akechi. "Hi…" Akechi waved.

"…Hi." Vernal muttered bluntly.

"Huh… yeah, she wasn't really this blunt when I first met her. Rough around the edges, but she meant well." Akechi said. "Hmm… I suppose this is a change of personality too."

"Indeed."

Akechi had an idea and snapped a photo of the Nobody, then started texting Raven.

"Hey, can you come over to Radiant Garden real quick?"

"What for?"

"You're gonna want to sit down for this."

As soon as Akechi finished the text message, a red portal would open up as Akechi and Ansem turned around to see Raven walking in. "…Well, that was fast."

"Okay, what is it you… need…" Raven felt her heart stop as soon as she saw the Nobody. "It… it can't be…"

"You… how did you come out of that portal?" Said Nobody asked slowly.

"Vernal…" Raven quietly said. "I… I thought she… she died, I saw her die in front of me!"

"She was turned into a Heartless, but her strong will left behind an empty shell." Ansem explained. "A Nobody, if you will. With a capital N, just to clarify."

"Do I need to know anything about Nobodies?"

"Yeah." Sora spoke up. "When I first learned about these guys, I was told they only pretend to have hearts and feign their own emotions to let your guard down. However, Xemnas had to go and reveal to me that hearts regrow the first chance they get, so chances are, Vernal's going to get her heart back."

Raven looked at Sora in confusion. "How do hearts grow back?"

"Heck if I know. I even told Xemnas he was insane." Sora shrugged it off.

"So… it's Vernal as an empty husk…" Raven said sadly.

"If you want, you can give her a new name." Ansem said.

"Ah, but what would we call her?" Akechi wondered as Raven slowly approached the Nobody.

BGM: Kairi III (Kingdom Hearts)

"Hey, it's going to be okay…" Raven said gently, slowly taking out her hand. She would look at the hand and slowly reached out for it.

"Who… are you…?"

"Raven. Raven Branwen."

"That's… a nice name… I… I don't even know who I am." She said. "But… Raven… that sounds very inviting." She said as she took her hand. Raven gently brought her closer and hugged her. She raised an eyebrow in confusion, yet let it be, realizing that she meant no harm.

"So, uh… you got anything? Because I got nothing." Sora said. "Well… there's Sakura, but that name's taken… like, I think there's five of them now! I could be wrong, but… hang on… Asahina's friend, Ryu's friend, the girl from Hoshido… no, this would make four. I think."

"Hmm…" Akechi rubbed his chin in thought. "Given how I've been told that Vernal was originally Raven's decoy to hide the Spring Maiden's true identity… maybe give her a spring motif."

"Cherry Blossom? …Wait, no, that's stupid." Sora said. "Sunshine? No… Robin? No, that's taken, Sunflower? No… Rose? Hmm… there's a possibility."

"I got one. Maia." Akechi turned to Sora. "It means "Goddess of Spring growth"."

"Uh… okay, but I don't think Vernal is a goddess." Sora rubbed his head.

"She doesn't have to be."

"Wouldn't that be false advertising then?"

Akechi laughed. "Don't worry about it." He turned to Raven. "Hey Raven, how about-"

"It's perfect." Raven broke the hug. "How about if we call you Maia?"

"Maia…" She closed her eyes, before smiling. "Yeah, I like that."

"Maia, it is." Ansem said with Akechi nodding.

I still think Rose sounds better. Sora thought.

Raven brushed Maia's cheek. "Maia, it is… I'm just glad I have you back with me, Vernal."

Maia tilted her head. "Vernal?"

Raven blushed. "Uh… um, sorry, that just slipped out. I didn't mean to-"

"No no no, it's okay." Maia stopped her. "Vernal… that doesn't ring any bells to me. Could just be a cute nickname you gave me."

"Yeah… let's go with that." Raven nodded. If only she knewI don't think I have the heart to tell her what happened.

She truly does care for her. Akechi thought with a soft smile as Raven opened up another portal.

"Come on, I need to show you something."

"So you make those portals? Fascinating." Maia mused as they walked in, with Akechi walking in afterwards.

Meanwhile, at Patch

"Is this your house? I've never been here, honestly." Byleth said as Yang walked in.

"Guess who!" Yang smiled as Byleth looked into the home, looking on in awe. She would hear footsteps as she turned to see Summer approaching.

"Byleth, so good to see you!" Summer smiled, hugging her tightly.

"Mmmph! Careful!" Byleth winced as Summer lightened her hug, then she would sniff the air. "Wait, I smell something good."

"Yeah, Rosie and I baked some cookies for our new daughter." She winked.

"Oh, did Tai already have a private moment with Ros-… oh." Byleth blushed, causing Summer to laugh.

"I don't think they're there yet. If they did, I'd be shocked they'd do it while I'm still here." She giggled.

"I wouldn't!" Qrow said from afar.

"Daughter?!" Dorothea, Bereto, Claude and Xena exclaimed in surprise.

"Yeah… Rubes over here practically adopted her in the family." Yang said.

"So she goes from adopting dogs to humans now. Best keep an eye on this one." Claude teased.

"Hey!" Ruby laughed.

Summer handed Byleth a plate of cookies. "Welcome to the family, hon!"

"Th-thank you." Byleth said.

"…Wait a second, wouldn't this make me their brother?" Bereto wondered.

"Took you that long to figure out?" Claude teased.

"Heh, I'll basically be a sister-in-law when Byleth and I tie the knot~" Dorothea giggled.

Tai walked in. "Hey, you guys. What's up?"

"Oh, I'm part of the family now." Byleth said.

"…Wait, what?" Tai would grab Summer by the arm. "Excuse us a moment." He pulled her away.

"Whoa!"

"Did you adopt Byleth somehow? I know she's good to Ruby but-"

"No, Ruby adopted her."

Tai sweatdropped. "Beg your pardon?"

"Yes. She adopted Byleth into the family."

"…And you just let her?"

"Hey, I adopted Zwei." Summer winked.

"Without even telling me!"

"And you still loved him!"

Tai sighed. "You adopt Zwei, Ruby adopts all the dogs and Byleth… you definitely taught her that."

"Oh, did I now~?" Summer giggled and walked off.

Tai shook his head. "What am I gonna do with those two?" He chuckled.

It was then that a portal opened up as they all turned to see Raven walking out with Maia and Akechi. "Oh hi Raven." Rosalina said, walking into the living room with a plate filled with Star Bit cookies.

"Hey Rosie." Raven greeted.

"…Raven?" Qrow looked at her. "Is that who I think it is?"

"It is. She's Vernal's Nobody." Raven explained.

"Uh… Nobody… what was that again?" Ruby asked.

"When someone turns into a Heartless, yet they have a strong will, they become a Nobody." Akechi explained. "Like with Sora and Roxas for example."

"Ooooh, okay. I still don't get it."

"We'll figure that out eventually." Yang said.

"So… meet Maia." Raven said and turned to her Maia. "Maia, this is Rosalina, though we call her Rosie for short, Qrow, Summer, Taiyang, Zwei, Alexander, Cerberus, Ruby, Yang, Xena, Claude and… I don't remember you three."

"Byleth."

"Bereto."

"Dorothea."

Maia nodded. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"So… what now?" Tai asked.

"Well…" Ruby folded her arms. "I think the best course of action is to take Byleth on a vacation. She's been through a lot."

"Oh, of course!" Summer smiled.

"Yeah, but… I don't know where to go, exactly." Byleth admitted. "I've never been on a vacation."

"What do you call the Beanbean Kingdom?" Claude pointed out.

"That was a vacation? I didn't think it was…"

"Not with that attitude!" Claude chuckled.

Tai chuckled. "I know a spot."

Xena smirked. "We'll text the girls~"

Later

BGM: Sirena Beach (Super Mario Sunshine)

"Oh wow!" Byleth exclaimed as Rosalina had teleported them all to Delfino, specfically at Sirena Beach as even the rest of JINXY were there.

"It's gorgeous!" Dorothea said.

"Welcome to Delfino." Ruby smiled.

"Oh goodness, I feel overdressed." Byleth admitted.

"Not to worry, there's a shop in the plaza. We can check in in the hotel and have some fun after that." Yang said as they walked off to the hotel, but Byleth stayed behind.

"Byleth, are you coming?" Dorothea asked.

"Y-yeah, you guys go on ahead, I'll catch up." Byleth said as she turned around to stare at the sunset dipping below the horizon. The warm water splashed against her feet as she let out a sigh and sat down on the sand, admiring the sunset.

A thought came across her mind as she pulled out a ring in her pocket, staring directly at it.

"One day, I hope you'll give this ring to someone you love as well as I love her." Jeralt's voice rang in her head.

"Someone I love, huh?"

"My, that's a pretty ring."

"Ah!" Byleth yelped as she looked up to see Dorothea.

BGM: Rejoice in Love (Fire Emblem Fates)

"O-oh! Dorothea, you scared the hell out of me."

Dorothea let out a giggle. "Well, I decided to check on you." She said as she sat down next to her. "So, where'd you get that ring?"

"Well… it's kinda… cheesy."

"Try me."

"Um… well, dad gave it to me. He said it was a keepsake of my mother."

"Aww! That's adorable!" Dorothea giggled. "Mind if I see it real quick?"

"Sure." Byleth handed it to her as Dorothea gently took it.

"My, it's so pretty to look at." Dorothea said, staring at its beauty as she had a wild idea and decided to put it on her finger. She let out a giggle and showed it off to Byleth. "What do you think, do I look stylin' with this?"

Byleth smiled. "Yeah, you do."

"Do you also think I'd make a lovely wife~?"

"Of course."

Dorothea smiled. "That's all I needed to know~ So when do you think the wedding will be?"

It would then dawn on Byleth. "H-hey, wait a second! I was planning on proposing to you!"

"Beat you to it, honey." Dorothea winked. "What do you say? The two of us getting married soon? Mrs and Mrs Eisner~? There's not much going on at Garreg Mach anyway."

Byleth blushed. "Of course I'll marry you." She said as she wrapped her arms around Dorothea. "You've been hanging around Claude too long."

"Hey, he may be a goofball, yet he rubs off on people." Dorothea giggled, wrapping her arms around Byleth. "You've always made me happiest, Byleth… and I'll make sure to make you happy as well."

"I'll always love you, Dorothea." Byleth said, looking into each other's eyes before they closed their eyes and shared a kiss underneath the sunset.

Meanwhile, with Edelgard

Edelgard stopped walking around Garreg Mach. "Why do I have this feeling I missed something incredible?" She wondered and looked off into the sky. "I have a feeling something grand just happened and I wasn't there to witness it."

She closed her eyes and chuckled. "Perhaps I'll find out eventually."

A few weeks later

"Spring is right around the corner, yet winter continues to be a lion. Tonight will be a cold one as a massive blizzard will strike the Mushroom Kingdom. Bundle up and stay safe out there, it's gonna get cold out there. May no one turn into snowmen."

"Another blizzard?" Peach wondered. "Goodness, this is ridiculous." She would look out the window to see the wind and the snow pelting the Mushroom Kingdom. "Oh, it's already here. Well, I hope nothing crazy happens…"

Just outside, the blizzard pounded away at the Tail Tree as several Tanooki Leaves lost their grip and blew away into the snowstorm.

At a few nearby trees, an armadillo faunus had crawled on top of a tree branch, trying to find shelter in the snowstorm. He turned to look at several Tanooki leaves flying past him as one flew at close range. He grabbed a hold of it and curiously looked at it before he unwittingly absorbed it. He looked down to see he was now wearing a Tanooki suit. He was a bit surprised, yet he realized he was now warm. With a smile, he curled up on the tree branch and slept through the winter storm.

As the leaves continued to blow away from the Tail Tree, a laugh from a certain Koopa King echoed across Toad Town.

Post Credit Scene #1:

Shambhala had lay dormant after the battle with Thales. It had been untouched for so long that nobody had come over to check on it…

"Ohohohoho!"

…Until now.

Eggman hopped off of his flying machine. "So, this is Fodlan's secret technology, hmm? Perhaps I can use this for my own benefit." He said, pushing a button as several Egg Robos came flying down and started to extract the technology. Eggman himself began to excavate.

Nearby, Watts walked in. "So, this is the technology I've heard about." He said as he spotted Eggman. "Hmm?"

Eggman turned his head. "And what do I owe this pleasure?"

"Ah, I know you. You were the one who outted Cinder in that broadcast."

"And you, with that fabulous mustache, must be Dr. Watts. I've heard about you from the grapevine."

"My reputation precedes me then." Watts stroked his mustache. "I have heard rumors of this world having secret technology so I had come to investigate. It seems you had heard the same thought."

"Indeed." Eggman smirked.

"Doctor Eggman, we have extracted all the technology from Shambhala." One of the Egg Robos said.

Watts's eyes widened in surprise. "All of it? That was quick."

"It's amazing what you can accomplish when no hedgehog interrupts you." He smirked as he hopped onto his machine. "Here, you can have the scraps." He said, tossing him a few crumbs of technology at Watt's feet.

"Really… you're just going to give me miniscule technology?"

"It pays to be on time, my good inferior doctor."

"Inferior?!"

"Indeed. I am the superior scientist, after all. OHOHOHOHOHOHO!" Eggman escaped with all of his Egg Robos.

A deep growl escaped Watts's lips. "You, my rotund scientific friend, have made a mistake."

Post Credit Scene #2

Meanwhile, in a different universe…

We would see a rather colorful city filled to the brim with happy cheers, dancers practicing their art in the streets, and a race of kind gentle elephant people praticing the art of alchemy. We would join two people in a palace in the city, one a brown haired human woman in her lower 20s with dark red eyes, wearing a set of brown durable traveling gear and a necklace with a blue crystal and a blue earring on the left ear.

She is talking with what looks to be a white haired cat girl in a fancy black dress and a fancier staff. She is also blind.

"So Y'shtola, you think you finally got this figured out? A way to one of the other shards?"

"I believe I do. However, we must act with caution... since you can come back to the source, Carmen."

Carmen rolled her eyes. "Right I get to be the test subject… Yes, mother."

"Now what did I tell you about that kind of sass, young lady?"

"Like you don't do the same to everyone else."

"Right. Well I'm going to open this portal now. Let's hope this works."

"Right. I'll be back within a week. Assuming, you know, I don't die or get caught up in a war or something but what are the chances of that happening?"

BGM: Footfalls (Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker)

A portal opened up and the adventuer would walk on through it. It closed behind her as she had nothing else on her back but a bag containing various items useful for an adventure.

"Good Luck, Warrior of Light." Y'Shtola said.

Meanwhile in the Mushroom Kingdom

The girl would come out In the fields of the Mushroom Kingdom. "Huh..." She looked around. "Do those hills have eyes along with those clouds?" A wave of excitement crept on her face. "Well then. Let's see what kind of place I found myself in!" She said and took off exploring the vast kingdom.
