So...Here I am again with a new story! Just to start off here the core of this story is a fusion of LOZ and the universe of a game called SCP Containment Breach. For those of you who aren't familiar with that game, you should go find out at least a little about it but for now the short version is that the premise of it revolves around anomalous objects and entities that are kept contained by a secret government organization to protect the public. One particular entity of this universe is known as SCP-682 or the hard to destroy reptile, because it had defied every attempt to kill it. So...I felt that Ganon from LOZ would fit with the idea of the reptile. So this is sort of like a character swap but not really. More like an imagining of the two games existing in the same universe. I also structured this story off a video i saw that was made by the youtuber SCP illustrated. And for the name of the Fierce Deity I borrowed from fanfiction writer Kaytala. So with that out of the way...let's get into this.
Chapter One
In the Beginning
Ganondorf's childhood was…interesting, to say the least. He and his family resided in the sacred realm, their home. It was a place of wonder and beauty and he was so glad they lived there. His family were all special in some way or another, his mother was the goddess Hylia herself, his father was a being from another dimension and was known as the Fierce Deity, although he preferred to be called Kinshin, and finally Ganondorf's brother. His brother, whose name was Uriel, really stood out among them. Uriel was very much like their father in appearance, he looked like a near duplicate of him, with one major exception. Somehow, Uriel had also inherited his mother's wings. They were huge, majestic wings that shined like the sun. It made Ganondorf jealous, he wished he had wings too, would they grow in later perhaps?
Ganondorf's relationship with his older brother had always been…complicated. He obviously loved him at heart because he was his brother, despite their arguments and disagreements, at the end of the day, he was family. However, being their parents' oldest child made him the center of attention, at least to Ganondorf's perspective. His parents were always complimenting him and praising him for various things.
Something about the sight of it always made his blood boil. He always fumed internally when his brother was praised for something. It was always the same, their parents would say something like "Oh, Uriel that was amazing! Uriel can you fly up there and do this…" you got the picture. His parents always assured him they loved him and his brother equally, but Ganondorf could not shake the feeling like they were only saying this to console him, that they didn't actually mean it. He hatedit, he knew his brother wasn't so special, one day he'd prove it to everyone. Then he would be the special one, that would be amazing.
Perhaps it isn't hard to imagine why Ganondorf turned out like this, his brother was by all accounts incredible while Ganondorf was ordinary. He had always been ambitious, but as years went by, that ambition began to grow…and fester.
000000000000000
Years passed and Ganondorf grew older, he honestly wasn't sure how long it been, time didn't pass at the same rate in the sacred realm as it did down on Earth. He assumed it had been about a few hundred years maybe, when Ganondorf became a teenager. Well by the standards of immortal beings anyway. As his childhood had transitioned to where he was now, the jealousy had grown in him and he now despised his brother. He used to get into the occasional fight with him, until his brother became so skilled with his flaming sword that Ganondorf no longer dared to fight him physically.
Uriel was also now a fair bit larger than him, he'd hit his growth spurt their parents said. It made Ganondorf feel small and like a runt, it infuriated him. That wasn't all however, for reasons he couldn't understand, his parents always seemed like they were unhappy with him for something he did. Uriel was their shining paragon of excellence, Ganondorf was the disappointment who could never live up to expectations. Ganondorf was certain that this was what they thought. It made him so angry he couldn't think straight. He shielded his emotions from his parents, it wouldn't do to have them finding out, it just wouldn't.
His anger, jealousy, and resentment of his brother and parents all swirled around within him. He had no clue what to do about it; he couldn't fight his brother, he had that sword and plus their parents would intervene and be extremely angry. He couldn't take his anger out on his parents, that would only end poorly for him. All he could do was bottle it up and try to pretend everything was fine. All this did was cause it to become concentrated and amplified with time. He stopped enjoying the beauty of their home, he wanted more, he wanted to be important, he wanted power. He wanted everyone to look at him in wonder and realize how great he was.
Everything changed when their parents took them to see something they said was important. Ganondorf instantly felt a spark of hope in him, maybe his parents had at last realized that they were wrong, that they knew that he really was special, his parents clearly had no idea how much resentment and rage was building in him. If they had, given the nature of what they were going to show him and his brother, they would have kept him far away from it.
000000000000
"What are you taking us to see mother?" Asked Uriel, his voice filled with a power that set Ganondorf's nerves tingling, even though his brother had kept his voice at normal volume.
"We're going to show you the reason your father and I decided to have you two." Hylia said, turning her head to look back over her shoulder, not an easy feat with her large wings.
"She means we're going to show your purpose." Said their father, his voice quiet, but it echoed like thunder between them.
Ganondorf thought he could sense something faintly, a slight humming. Soon he saw why and he was in awe. Not far away were three large glowing golden triangles arranged together with one on top of the other two. It was easily the most glorious thing he'd ever seen. He was hit with a sensation so powerful it almost made his knees wobble, he wanted it. He wanted it so badly it almost hurt.
"This is the Triforce, my children." Kinshin said, turning to face them. His pure white eyes inscrutable as ever.
"Why is this here?" Uriel asked, sounding truly astounded for once.
"This was created by the golden goddesses themselves after they made this reality and then departed for the heavens to observe everything." Hylia answered and then continued. "Your father and I have watched over it for a very long time now. We have protected it from all of those who would seek to misuse it."
Ganondorf was about to say something but then snapped his mouth shut when Uriel asked the question that made him glad he didn't actually say it.
"Why would someone do something so terrible? How could anyone be so violent and twisted to use such a thing of beauty for something so bad?" Uriel asked, shocked.
"There will always be those who are greedy, power-hungry, or twisted and desire their own benefit above everything else." Kinshin said softly.
Ganondorf couldn't stand to look at his family suddenly. How could they not realize the significance of this? This Triforce was created by the golden goddesses themselves! They could use the Triforce to do anything they wanted! How was that evil? Surely, they were exaggerating…right? And as for prioritizing one's own benefit, how was that bad?
He started listening again at his father's next words.
"Which is why neither of you can ever touch it." Kinshin said, with a tone of absolute authority.
Rage suddenly exploded in Ganondorf and he only barely managed to hold it back before it burst out. Why couldn't they touch it? Surely it was made for him…or them?
"Why?" Ganondorf asked, before he could stop himself.
Everyone else immediately turned to look at him. He felt a brief moment of apprehension as their gazes all trained on him. Kinshin's and Uriel's radiant, shining eyes seeming to bore into him, and his mother's concerned expression. A few moments of extremely tense silence passed. Ganondorf tried not to shift under their gazes.
"Because it was not made for us. It was made for the mortals, and the mortals alone." Kinshin finally said, his eyes narrowed slightly in what looked uncomfortably like suspicion.
Revulsion welled up in Ganondorf's stomach at the words. The mortals? Those pathetic, feeble things? The Triforce was made for them? Ganondorf had never been more appalled in his life! Humans were so pathetic, they died so easily and had such short lifespans, they were so weak he was never sure how managed to always survive. As if that wasn't bad enough the rest of his family seemed in awe of the little things. He couldn't even begin to imagine why. What was so special about the humans? Although he'd never actually seen such for himself, he was certain that they all had the capacity for things that his parents viewed as "evil".
"Do you not remember the story we told you when you were younger?" Hylia interjected softly. "The story of the demon king who came from somewhere else to take the Triforce for his own and destroy everyone in his path?"
He remembered alright, it was essentially the only thing he would give the mortals credit for. They were incredibly persistent little things, they never seemed to give up in the long run. They had fought the demon king and his armies, even though the odds had been stacked against them. Despite that they still managed to prevail by sheer luck. Or at least that's how it would have seemed just from that information. Ganondorf knew there was more to it though. His parents had somehow had mortal counterparts, they had led the humans against the demon and his armies.
"Yes, I remember." He replied simply, keeping his voice as expressionless as possible.
"Good, well he is why we must protect the Triforce. If someone with hostile intent came here to take it, they could destroy everything we value." Hylia finished.
"She's right, although the Triforce was made for mortals, none have yet come to claim it. The reason for this is that only one may take it. If a mortal who does not possess a balanced heart were to touch it, it would shatter into its three parts." Kinshin clarified, before adding "I absolutely forbid either of you to ever touch it or have a hand in showing this to anyone."
Ganondorf's fury nearly caused him to explode, he was struggling to hold it in now. They were forbidden from possessing the Triforce?! It was just supposed to sit here and wait for some hypothetical mortal to come along and take it? No wonder Demise had tried to steal it! It was up for grabs! This was completely ludicrous! If he had the Triforce, he would make sure that no one else would come and attack the world, not on his watch they wouldn't! Then everyone would know how great he was. As he continued thinking about this he realized that was where Demise had made his mistake. He had been focused on getting the Triforce and killing everyone else. Ganondorf would do better than that, when he got it he could rule over everyone! The mortals would look up to him, they would love him as their rightful ruler! He began to formulate his plan.
As they began to walk back to their home, Ganondorf looked back at the Triforce and smiled to himself, soon it would be his. Soon he would have all the power he had ever wanted and he just needed to figure out exactly how to get it.
000000000000000
Key to Ganondorf's plan were his abilities he had discovered he had soon after he was shown the Triforce. He couldn't say with certainty if he had always had these abilities, but that didn't matter! He was so excited by the first one he discovered that he showed his parents and Uriel as he dissolved himself into pure consciousness and entered the mind of a nearby animal and made it begin walking in circles for a few minutes. When he returned to corporeal form and looked back at them, their expressions froze him instantly. His mother was gazing at him wide-eyed, a hand over her mouth in an expression of fear, Uriel looked disturbed, and his father…his father's eyes were mere slits in his face and he looked furious.
A cold chill trickled down his spine, but he still didn't regret what he did, why should he? If he had this skill he should use it to its full capability and why shouldn't he do that?
"Don't ever do that again! You hear me son? Don't you ever do something like that ever again! What you did just now is the kind of dark power we forbid." Kinshin almost snarled.
Ganondorf ducked his head, promised he wouldn't, and mentally screamed as loud as he could. In that moment, he no longer felt anything toward them but pure rage and hatred. How dare they try to prevent him from getting what was rightfully his! He'd show them all one day!
After that he didn't tell them anything he did, and he started keeping his true thoughts and feelings shielded. In addition to his ability to possess other creatures, he also possessed the ability to hypnotize other animals and even influence traits in creatures. Due to his parents' decree that mortals shouldn't even be shown the Triforce was unthinkable if it was apparently made for one of them. How would they know who it would be then? When they showed up? Ganondorf quickly tired of waiting, so he enacted his plan. He began searching for any mortal with a balanced heart. For decades and then centuries he looked in vain and got angrier and angrier as he did so. What was wrong with all these mortals? They all valued one thing or another! Although he felt that any sensible person would be that way, in this case it frustrated him as it made his life more difficult. Then it hit him, if there weren't mortals like he wanted, then he would just have to make one himself!
With renewed purpose, he began looking across the land and finally found what he was looking for. A prince of some kingdom down below was just being crowned king of his nation and part of that process was him being married to some to foreign princess from such and such nation. Ganondorf couldn't care less about that, he watched eagerly as the ceremony came to completion. He waited with baited breath for nightfall, the tradition of these silly humans was that on the night of a wedding, the wedding was supposed to be consecrated. After what felt like forever, the night came and Ganondorf manifested a ball of energy between his hands as he continued to stare fixatedly at the two humans.
He began to work his magic as the humans began their "ritual", as he did so he kept a mental image in his mind of what the child should be like. He envisioned an innocent girl who equally valued power, courage, and wisdom. He envisioned her being very open to possibilities. In short, he was envisioning her being naive and susceptible to persuasion. When the humans were done, he extinguished the ball, another step in his plan accomplished.
0000000000000000
Months later the young woman who was now queen went into labor. Hylia, as she did with most births among the humans, went down to Earth to personally assist. Ganondorf followed after her, utilizing another ability of his, the ability to turn himself invisible. He stood in the corner of the room, watching eagerly, waiting to see if his plan had succeeded. When the little princess was born, he almost laughed in glee, he could see it in his mother's face.
"Well, by the goddesses! She has a balanced heart! She will do remarkable things!" Hylia promised the proud parents.
Ganondorf then silently made his exit, reflecting on his mother's words. 'Remarkable things indeed' he thought.
0000000000000000000
Years later when the princess was a teenager, Ganondorf began to reach out in her dreams as a voice on the wind. He told her to find the gateway far away near the coast, that there she would receive a divine gift from the goddesses. His tactic worked and she became restless and very curious about all this. She asked her father, the king, to allow her to go on a journey. He asked why and she explained that she thought that the golden goddesses were calling out to her to tell her something. The king thought about it before acquiescing to her request as long as she agreed to let a team of knights come with her. The princess was too excited to care about this.
As the princess and her entourage travelled across the land, Ganondorf knew that his parents were watching curiously, unaware that this venture was being driven by him. Once the party left the borders of their little kingdom, a place they called Hyrule, his parents became very interested. He heard them muttering if this was it, if she was the one. Perfect, his parents were taking the bait as well. He grinned widely to himself, soon everything would be as it should. A total of three weeks after their departure, the party arrived at the edge of a large plateau. Visible just on the horizon was a line of blue, none of the party had ever seen the ocean before. It had simply been a thing in stories, a body of water that stretched on forever.
They navigated down to the ground below and after another week of travel, they spotted a large light in the distance. The set up camp about a quarter mile away from it, and the princess instructed her accompanying knights to wait while she investigated it. Strangely, they didn't argue. She approached the light, wondering what it was, and if this had anything to do with her visions.
Ganondorf manifested himself before her, his sudden appearance caused her to jump in surprise. He gave her a warm smile and asked why she was here, head tilted slightly to the side. He could feel the eyes of his family on him, watching him very carefully. Let them stare he thought, they won't find out my plans. In response to his question she stammered that she had had visions of this and was instructed to come here by the goddesses. He pretended to think hard for a few moments, before replying that a human had never come to the sacred realm before and there were many things in it that were not for mortals to see. He felt his family's concerns abate at this, good. Then he got an idea, a brilliant idea that excited him. He told her that there was something in the sacred realm that no mortal had ever been shown before but he could show it to her if she promised that she would never tell anyone what it was.
His parents immediately knew he was referring to the Triforce but seemed content with his addition to her keep it secret. What they didn't know, however, was that he had been simultaneously speaking into her mind. He had been telepathically telling her that was in the sacred realm was made specifically for her and that she was to take it for herself. Her mind silently asked him for his help and he obliged. He guided her into the sacred realm and over to the Triforce. She stopped and gasped at the sight of it.
"This is it, young one, this is the Triforce." He told her upon their reaching it. He continued. "This artifact must never fall into the wrong hands."
She nodded, vacantly, as he was again speaking into her mind 'This artifact was made for you, take it! It's yours!'
She began to walk forward, and he began to prepare himself to—he never got the chance to do it. The instant before her hand touched the Triforce there were two loud noises nearby. He looked and saw his parents standing there, his mother looked angry for the first time he could remember but his father…he'd never seen his father this angry.
"My lady, take her home." Kinshin rumbled, never taking his gaze off Ganondorf.
Hylia nodded and immediately began guiding the princess back the way they had come, she had a blank expression on her face, an expression that soon turned into absolute confusion before she passed out and caused Hylia to have to carry her away. Then they were gone and he was alone with his father.
Kinshin was literally trembling with rage, his eyes mere slits in his face, waves of fury radiating of his form. It set Ganondorf's nerves on edge, and he instinctively took a step back like he thought his father truly might attack him.
"Why?" He said, surprisingly softly, but his voice was as cold as ice.
Ganondorf's mouth was suddenly dry and his tongue refused to allow him to speak.
"You disobeyed my direct order and subverted my authority! Do you have ANY IDEA WHAT YOU'VE DONE?!" He suddenly yelled. He didn't even give him a chance to respond before he continued. "YOU HAVE DEFIED THE RULES I PUT IN PLACE, AND PRIORITIZED YOUR OWN GREED! YOU HAVE ALSO CORRUPTED THE HUMAN RACE AS A RESULT OF THIS! THAT PRINCESS WILL TELL HER PEOPLE OF THE TRIFORCE AND THEY WILL WANT IT NOW! YOU HAVE DESTROYED EVERYTHING WE HAVE WORKED SO HARD TO BUILD!" He thundered.
Ganondorf had never seen his father like this ever before. He was for the first time ever, afraid of his own father. He truly thought his father might draw the sword he himself had and use it on him. Ganondorf swallowed.
"W-what are you going to do to me?" He asked, voice shaking despite his attempts to hide it.
The look his father gave him at his question turned his blood his to ice. It was a look so cold and furious that Ganondorf was certain a mortal would have died on the spot.
"What am I going to do to you?" His voice was so quiet Ganondorf almost missed it entirely. He registered the almost copy of his own question and trembled in fear. Then he shouted again. "YOU WILL BE PUNISHED FOR THIS! URIEL!"
Uriel instantly appeared next to them. "Yes, my lord?" He asked.
Kinshin whipped his arm out and pointed at Ganondorf as he bellowed his response. "THIS TRAITOR DEFIED OUR MOST IMPORTANT LAW AND HAS SOUGHT TO SATISFY HIS OWN GREED FOR POWER AND TAKE THE TRIFORCE FOR HIMSELF!"
Uriel whipped around and glared hard at Ganondorf.
"What does my lord command then?" Uriel asked, white knuckling his sword.
"GANONDORF DRAGMIRE, YOU HAVE CORRUPTED MY GREATEST CREATION AND SOUGHT TO TAKE WHAT WILL NEVER BE YOURS! YOU ARE HEREBY BANISHED FROM HERE FOREVER!" He roared.
Kinshin then turned away and disappeared. Ganondorf, still focused as he was on Uriel, only vaguely registered this. This also meant that he did not see how Kinshin's eyes were welling up with tears as he sentenced his own son to exile. Uriel loomed menacingly above Ganondorf, sword raised above his head. Ganondorf looked up at him as he descended toward him.
"It has been decreed!" Uriel said.
"No! You don't understand! I did as she asked!" Ganondorf replied.
"It has been decreed, there is no way other than this!" His brother repeated before adding an additional statement.
"Father!" Ganondorf shouted out, hoping his father would change his mind and take pity on him.
The blue, clear sky did not answer him.
The sword sank into Ganondorf's body with a sickening crunch. He screamed as he felt his flesh begin to sear and crack, before falling away to reveal a new skin underneath. This one was densely furred and he was quickly turned into a large boar-like creature. He was lifted into the air by an unseen force as the angel bellowed again.
"LEAVE THIS PLACE AND NEVER RETURN!" Uriel thundered.
Ganondorf was thrown out through the gateway and into the world. The gateway disappeared after he passed through it, preventing him from being able to go back through it. He hit the ground hard and his breath was knocked out of him. He got to his feet and gasped until he got his breath back, he looked around him. He had no idea where he was, this wasn't the same place as before. All around him was hilly topography, no coastline in view. He roared his fury to the sky, vowing he would get his revenge for this, he would make everyone pay for this injustice, he would kill everything and everyone he could.
000000000000000
Weeks passed by, he travelled all day long and not once did he see any sign of people. Finally, on the morning of the fourth week, he saw something on the horizon from a plateau he was currently walking on. It was a set of rectangular shapes, they were buildings, a village. He roared in triumph and began running for the village after reaching the ground below by way of going around to not fall off the cliff. He charged for the village as fast as he could, fixing his eyes on his destination, as he got closer he heard something that made him giddy. He was met with screams of terror as the villagers noticed him barreling across the fields towards them. He would kill them all and not just them but every living thing he could! He crashed through a building immediately upon arriving at the village. It was instant chaos and insanity, and it was wonderful, he had never been so pleased before.
Some of the puny mortals actually tried to attack him, but he swiftly corrected them. Their weapons would do nothing to him! Soon the people were all running away as fast as they could. He did not care, he would kill them all eventually. Soon the village was in smoking ruins, and he began running after the people who'd run away. He annihilated most of them, however a few of them weren't accounted for, but no matter.
Over the next couple weeks, he rampaged across the land, destroying villages and killing everyone and everything in his path. He was thrilled to discover that his parents couldn't interfere with him! He could feel them watching him, but they couldn't stop him now! As those couple weeks passed, he noticed more and more resistance from the mortals. He also noticed other beings with them. He was appalled at them at first, what had the golden goddesses been thinking creating beings that looked like people crossed with birds, or with fish, or made from rock. They all fought together for the common cause of trying to kill him. He was almost amused by this, he was immortal! He couldn't be killed, these silly things actually thought they could kill him!
However, he was soon confronted with something that completely astonished him. Apparently, word of his presence in this land had reached its rulers. They had mustered a massive army to stop him, but what made him stop in his tracks was not the army, it was the two people at its head. At the head of the army were a man and a woman. Both were blond, one the shade of gold, the other the shade of wheat. He couldn't believe what he was seeing, these two mortals seemed familiar somehow. How? How was this possible?!
Then it hit him. These were his parents' mortal counterparts! These were Link and Zelda; his parents had interfered after all! He roared in pure rage and charged at them, he wanted to kill them in the worst way possible! A blinding light stopped him and sent him reeling backward. What had just happened? He got back to his feet, shaking his head, clearing his dizziness.
Zelda stood, right hand raised, shining with a brilliant white light. She had the full Triforce, he could see it shining there in her hand. He just stared in complete disbelief, while he was distracted Link drew a glowing blue sword and slashed at his foot. The pain and more significantly the fact that the weapon actually managed to damage him jolted him back to his surroundings as he roared and jumped backward. From his new position, he watched Link and Zelda give each other a look.
That one look caused him to briefly see into their minds, he saw how they felt for each other, they mirrored the relationship between his parents. Through this he saw a vision of the future, he saw a line of powerful swordsmen and magic wielding princesses. All of them descended from Link and Zelda. The mere thought of it alone sent him into a mad rage, this could not happen! He charged, but Zelda somehow immobilized him with her magic. He was completely stuck, while he was stuck Link came up to him with that sword.
Ganondorf now recognized the sword, it was the one that was made by his mother Hylia. Link drove the sword into Ganondorf's chest and he felt it touch something deep inside him. It didn't even particularly hurt, strangely, but it felt sickening to feel something so deep inside him. The magic disappeared and he collapsed to the ground, suddenly weak. He tried to get up but found he could not. What did they do to him? Wait, something was wrong, very wrong. He listened to his own body. He quickly realized what it was, his heartbeat was almost undetectable. Link had stabbed him in the heart, Ganondorf looked up weakly at the two of them, his hatred and disgust just as strong as before. They stood before him, peering at him coldly. Link with the sword, and Zelda with her magic at the ready. He tried to get up again, only to fail again. He could feel his life trickling away, somehow, he was actually dying.
He vowed at that moment that he wouldn't die, he refused to! He could never die until he got what he wanted! Zelda raised her arm again, and everything went white.

He didn't know where he was or how he got there, but when Ganondorf became aware again he couldn't see anything, he couldn't hear anything, none of his senses returned anything. Were his eyes closed? He tried to open them, but nothing happened. What was going on? He started to realize that he had no form, he was intangible. Time was strange in this void of nothingness, he had no idea how much time had passed since he became aware of himself again. For all knew it could have been centuries or minutes. But over time he began to perceive that he was not alone here. There were other…things…here too. They were formless as well but using his magic, he extended tendrils of his power into them. He saw flashes of memories of them, he realized that these were monsters and they had all been killed by the people of the land of Hyrule. An idea dawned to him, these monsters shared his hatred of the world they had been driven from. He could use this, utilize their hatred to his benefit, he offered them a way back to the world if they would help him return. They accepted the offer.
Soon he began to revive them a few at a time. Through the monsters he could see the world, they were his eyes and ears. He eventually learned that he had been sealed away, due to his desire to live. He could work with this, he would be back eventually, and when he was he would kill everyone, because surely those two meddlers would be long dead by then.
000000000000000
He was wrong, when he returned and began to rampage again he found the Hyrulians waiting for him. They knew he was coming, his parents or the golden goddesses had warned them, allowing them to prepare for his arrival. Not only that but somehow his parents' mortal forms were there too. They weren't the same ones as before but yet somehow, they were same anyway. They looked a little different outwardly, but they each carried the same presence as before. His parents' mortal forms had been reborn to oppose him.
Time after time, this same thing happened. He would return from his seal, rampage as long as he could before he was sealed away again by the princess and hero. He began to wonder if he should resign himself to an eternity of this. He had gone through this pattern about a dozen times when he finally got what he thought was an opportunity.
He had returned to find the Hyrulians waiting for him as usual, however this time they had machines fighting alongside them. These guardians and divine beasts assisted them in sealing him away, but he didn't care about that this time due to what he saw afterward from beyond the seal. The tribe that had made them, a race known as the Sheikah, were ordered by the then king of Hyrule to abandon their technology.
He watched as most of them agreed and adopted a simple life, but a few of them became furious and refused. These renegades then fled into the wilds, vowing revenge on the royal family for this insult. If he could have, he would have smiled. It didn't matter that they no longer remembered his true name, they just called him Ganon, or Calamity Ganon. Even though these Sheikah had helped to defeat them, these angry and scorned ones might be valuable assets. He contacted them and said…well he actually didn't exactly speak to them…it was more meaning than exact. He offered them a deal, he would forgive them for helping to seal him away and give them their revenge. All they had to do in return was pledge their loyalty to him and help him return to the world. They accepted the offer and then called themselves the Yiga clan.
Over the next ten thousand years, they plotted and schemed. They devised a way for Ganon to take control of the technology and use it to his own ends. As he regathered his strength and began to near the point of return, his Yiga clan followers began to work on the last stage of the plan. It was all very well if Ganon could possess the technology, but if they were still buried in the ground it would not advantage him in any way. The Yiga clan thus came up with a plan to solve this issue. They disguised one of their people as a fortune teller and then had them tell the then king of Hyrule, Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule, a prophecy they made up.
They told him the signs of a resurrection of Calamity Ganon were clear and that the power to oppose it lay dormant beneath the ground. He reacted exactly like how they hoped he would, he called for the widespread excavation of the Sheikah technology. They thought that they had a chance, they had no idea that it was all a setup. That they were playing right into the hands of the enemy. The Yiga clan had had ten thousand years to come up with a solution to the technology that had previously defeated their master. As the kingdom of Hyrule was being set up for failure, the Yiga clan were surprised but overjoyed to learn that the current era's princess Zelda was unable to unlock her power!
This was perfect! Without the sacred power, even that pesky hero with the darkness sealing sword would be useless! When Ganon finally returned, the first thing he did was possess the technology to his side. He seized control of the guardians and divine beasts, killing the champions of the divine beasts. He laughed in glee as the divine beasts became his weapons to assail Hyrule. The pesky hero and pathetic princess began running to…somewhere. He pursued them with his guardians, when they cornered them in a swamp, he personally possessed the guardian that was about to strike Link dead, wanting to see the life leave him.
It never happened, a huge light sent him flying back to the castle in shock. The princess's power had awoken but when he looked closer he saw that her knight was dead! It no longer mattered that her power was here. Defeating him necessitated both the power and the sword. With the hero down, the princess could only delay the inevitable. He didn't see that Link was taken away to a special shrine, he assumed he was being taken away to be buried. He would permit him that much at least, he had been a good opponent before. The princess came to the castle herself to confront him. Was she offering herself up for him? He swallowed her and was about to roar his triumph when he stopped.
Something was wrong, he felt a tug from within him. But how was that possible? He was a spectral boar's head. The pull instantly became far stronger and he felt himself being pulled inward. Then he heard a voice in his head, actually it was two voices, Zelda's and Hylia's.
"I may be sealed away, but you will come with me you beast!"
He roared and tried to escape fruitlessly as he was yanked back into the void he inhabited when he was sealed away.

He hated this place, but now that he wasn't alone he turned his full fury on his passenger. That wretched princess thwarted his every attempt to subdue her. They took on semi-physical forms, the princess sat in a meditation pose, wreathed in a bubble of gold light. He circled around it as a spectral boar's head, repeatedly throwing himself against the dome trying to break through it in vain. Some small part of his mind wondered why she was doing this, her knight was dead, she couldn't possibly beat him herself. She was only delaying the inevitable, he tried to probe into her mind to learn what her motive was, but she blocked him. He dismissed it, oh whatever, she was just stubborn, he'd get her eventually.
For the first decade of his imprisonment with Zelda, she completely countered his every attempt to outdo her, she kept him subdued, but he knew his endurance was far greater. He could wait, she would burn out eventually and then the tables would turn in his favor. Sure enough, her power soon started to wane. As her power waned, she changed her tactic, she now focused on keeping him in check. Her dome of light began to gradually shrink a little every year, she at first tried to extend it but only caused it to shrink faster. The best she could do was try and keep it at a constant size. This greatly slowed the rate at which it shrank, but didn't stop it completely.
He constantly slammed against the barrier, but he again began to wonder why she was doing this. What was she even waiting for? No one was coming to rescue her…right? Seventy years into his seal with her, he was becoming impatient. Either she was just immensely stubborn, or she was plotting something against him. He couldn't see into Hyrule with Zelda suppressing him, so he couldn't look around to see what she might be planning.
One hundred years after he was sealed with her, he found out what her plan was finally. He felt the presences of that knight. Somehow, he had been brought back to life, in a shrine of resurrection. Ganon roared so loud the divine beasts reawakened from their century long sleep and began to wander about aimlessly. Because of the blasted princess he couldn't consciously control them, hence their aimless wanderings.
Sensing the presence of Link, Ganon began making a physical body to stop him. He would take pleasure in making Zelda watch as he killed her lover. That would destroy her sanity and then he would destroy her! He nearly became giddy when the hero entered one of the divine beasts. He commanded the blight to kill the resurrected Hylian champion, the blight was only too happy to attempt to do so. It failed to kill Link, and was itself slain, Ganon shrieked in pain as the blight died, as he felt that part of him die. If that wasn't bad enough he freed that divine beast and the spirit of Mipha within gave him her healing power.
Now he would be harder to kill than before. Oh, and he'd had the Master Sword as well. Link went around Hyrule to each of the divine beasts, defeating the blights one after another. After he had liberated Rudania and Medoh, Ganon got freaked out for sure. Now Link was incredibly formidable, he possessed his sword and skills plus three magical gifts given to him. He had the healing ability of Mipha, he could protect himself with the power of Daruk, and fly into the air with the updraft of Revali. If he managed to free Naboris and get Urbosa's lightning Ganon would be in deep shit for sure. He began amplifying the already high-strung Thunderblight, making it extremely volatile, and prone to sudden bursts of violence without warning. When Link entered Naboris and faced the blight, Ganon watched fixatedly, both in eagerness and worry for his own survival. He forced Zelda to watch as well, hoping she would see her beloved hero be struck down. He didn't like how smug she had gotten lately as her hero got stronger and stronger.
Thunderblight made the first move in the fight, flinging electricity at the hero. Strangely he made no attempt to dodge, the balls of electricity made contact with him but nothing happened. He roared in pure rage as he realized that Link was wearing a material that was impervious to electricity. That pesky hero! He had effectively negated the blight's main method of attack. The blight realized this and engaged in close quarters battle. It zipped around like lightning trying to overwhelm the champion. This was partially successful, it managed to get in a hit here and there. But for every strike the blight landed on Link, he managed to land a blow on the creature. After a while of them fighting back and forth, Link suddenly seemed to blur as he back-flipped over a slashing strike. He landed a flurry of blows against the blight.
The blight retreated to a height above the Hylian and raised its sword, preparing to call down lightning. It looked back down to blast the champion to ashes, but he was gone. The blight froze, concerned for the first time in its existence. A cold chill went through it. it listened intently for any sounds to indicate Link's position and it heard a faint rustling behind it. It turned around quickly only to find Link right there in front of it, crashing down towards it sword first. The blight only just managed to get its shield up in time. The force of the impact sent the blight crashing to floor, rolling a few feet across the floor from the force of the fall.
Link charged at the blight who scrambled up and tried to meet the oncoming assault. Link crashed into its shield with his full weight, pushing the blight back. Whoa, OK, Link was a lot heavier than he seemed with his small frame. Enraged, the blight screeched and slashed at Link again, putting a slice across his torso. The wound was still only shallow however. Link proceeded to batter the blight with hit after hit from his sword. The blight was astonished at the power of his strikes, his arms were powerful! The blight thrusted its shield into Link's gut, trying to push him off it. Link stumbled back a few steps and then stopped, surprised, or at least he seemed as though he were.
The blight looked at Link, who was standing about six feet away, posture slightly hunched in apparent submission, bleeding from multiple wounds. He almost looked as if he was dying. Fifteen minutes passed in silence as they both remained motionless in their postures, the pain of its wounds beginning to set in for the blight. The blight was wary, and was waiting to see if Link would actually die. It moved a little closer to get a better look at its assailant. Was the hero actually dying? However, upon closer inspection the blight determined that he wasn't injured enough to simply die. After a half hour had passed, the blight began to slowly back away, not taking its gaze off the Hylian. The blight's guard was only down by a little now.
Suddenly Link snapped his head up and lunged at the blight. Thunderblight shrieked in fear as Link crashed his weight into it, toppling it onto its back while simultaneously slicing off its sword hand. He pinned it down with his boot and raised his sword to strike. Ganon and the blight were in full panic now. The only thing the blight could do now was to try to use its shield like a battering weapon, it repeatedly bashed it into Link's side, but this seemed to do nothing. The sword came down and the blight screeched as it vaporized.
Ganon roared so loud that he was honestly surprised he didn't make himself deaf. In his moment of distraction however, Zelda tried to attack him again for the first time in decades. He reeled and turned his full attention back to his captor. He threw himself against her magic barrier fruitlessly.
Ganon began working on his forming physical body as fast as he could, desperately hoping he would be able to finish it before that pesky hero arrived to fight him. He was thus surprised when he sensed the hero's presence in the sanctum of the castle. He was so shocked that for a few moments he was unable to do anything. His creation wasn't complete but that no longer mattered, he had to kill that hero now!
He poured his being into the creation and fired his laser through the sack he was in. He burst out of it and landed on the floor of the sanctum. Before he could get up however, he was astonished when the floor suddenly broke underneath him and he was falling again. He had no idea what was going on, how was he falling again? Wait…he'd been falling for a while now, where…he didn't get to finish his thought before he slammed down on something very hard and unyielding below him. He painfully got his feet, all eight of them, as he started swiveling around to try to see where Link was.
He didn't see him, where was he? Then he heard a soft step behind him, he turned around and there he was. Ganon reared up and roared as loud as he could, then he heard something that made him go cold. He looked up at the sound of a rumbling from far off, he saw a brilliant blue light above him in the sanctum. The ball of light shrank and then split into hundreds of fragments that began plunging toward him.
'Oh shi—' Ganon didn't even manage to finish his thought, as for the first time in his existence, he wished that he could have been anywhere but here.
The light fragments slammed into him, a barrage of pain assaulted him as a series of small explosions went off across his body. When it stopped he lay flat on the floor, he shakily got back to his feet. Link was still standing there, he drew the Master Sword…before flipping him the bird!
That was it, Ganon raced at the insolent fool, determined to teach him a lesson for this insult. He cocked his biggest weapon, a massive orange blade, back to strike Link dead. He swung it as fast as he could, to his astonishment, Link back-flipped over the blade, then before Ganon could do anything, charged him and began slashing away at him. Ganon raised himself up before slamming himself down to try to crush Link. However, Link had jumped clear. Ganon then raised his cannon and aimed at the hero. Upon firing however, Link parried the beam right back at him. He reeled back in pain before collapsing to the floor. Link ran back up to him and recommenced slashing at him. This happened over and over, Ganon tried everything he could think of but nothing worked.
He roared in pure rage as he encased himself in a burning orange flame shield. Let that hero try and get close to him now! Ganon also tried using ranged attacks while clinging to the walls. He fired ice blocks at Link, he summoned metal poles to attract lightning, he even summoned a ball of fire. Nothing worked; Link swatted down the ice blocks, dodged his metal poles, and intercepted the balls of fire with ice arrows.
Ganon wasn't sure what to do next, he tried flinging his spear at Link. Link somehow sent it flying back at him, knocking him off the wall. More slashes followed while his shield was down. He tried manifesting tornadoes, or firing multiple blasts from his cannon. It failed, Link responded to the tornadoes by soaring into the air and firing his arrows at him. He dodged his blasts. Ganon was in a panic now, he felt like he was moments away from death. He decided that we would not allow this. He dissolved himself into his spectral form and flew out of the castle. He began gathering all of his malice that he could into a new body. The body he always fell back on when he needed the maximum strength possible.
As he assumed his dark beast form he saw Link materialize nearby as well. That pesky princess! Then that wretched princess gave her hero the bow of light as well. That was it, Ganon decided to go for a last ditch effort to achieve his own ends. He decided he was done with the cycle of defeat he was in and gave up reincarnation, maximizing his power. He desperately hoped he would now be strong enough to kill them all. If he wasn't…well then at least he would die and not have to keep being trapped in this hell of defeat with no escape.
Ganon quickly realized that being so large was a mistake. He couldn't turn quickly, he was cumbersome, he even had trouble seeing Link at all he was so much bigger than him. That wasn't even the worst of it, he could feel Zelda opening up gaps in his body with her magic. Each hole was speared by a light arrow, he contorted his body in agony with each hit. He was scrambling, frantically trying to think up a plan of action, nothing was working. He couldn't even hit his opponent now. He felt his life energy on its last legs when he saw Link pointing an arrow directly at the eye in his back in the moment that it was exposed to the air.
Ganon braced himself for death, but it never came. Just as Link was about to fire, a world shaking voice ripped through the fabric of reality. A voice that he hadn't heard for tens of thousands of years.
"ENOUGH!" Everything stopped. Link landed back on the ground, and a brilliant light erupted out of Ganon's head and Zelda flew out of his body and landed next to Link. They instinctively turned to look at each other. Before any of them could do anything, two new beings made their appearance before them.
Kinshin and Hylia stood before them. Kinshin snapped his fingers and chains of golden light materialized around Ganon's legs and pulled taut. Hylia raised her hands and encased him in brilliant light and shrank him to the size of a molduga. Link and Zelda stared at their immortal counterparts in complete bewilderment.
"What are you doing here?" Zelda asked.
"We are here to pass a final judgement, my child." Hylia replied instantly.
"This cycle of reincarnation cannot continue, but nor can the evil be allowed to die. He has been cursed forever, he must not escape it." Kinshin rumbled, the paused before he continued. "Plus, he is my son, even after everything he has done.
Link and Zelda turned to look at the chains binding the beast.
"So, what is the plan now then?" Link asked.
"It's simple. You can't kill him, so you must instead keep him imprisoned in one place." Kinshin answered.
"You want us to contain him then?" Zelda asked.
"Correct." Hylia affirmed.

Ganon thought he'd known rage, thought he had understood what it was like to hate something or even everything. He couldn't have been more wrong. As the years passed after that, he realized it was possible to hate and rage even more than he ever had. When his parents had appeared and then assisted their mortal counterparts in designing a prison for him to be chained within for eternity. The people of Hyrule all contributed, he was locked away in a massive structure and chained there. He was enraged still further when he realized that the Yiga clan, his own servants, had sided with Hyrule to assist in containing him. It was with this realization or discovery that he realized that he hated every single person.
He now thought of them as disgusting apes, all of the Hylians, Sheikah, and Gerudo. He hadn't seen himself as a person in millennia, his last positive opinion of people gone now, he had placed the last nail on the coffin of his hatred. He would never again trust anyone, he would kill anyone who came close to him.
Years passed, outside his prison, the pesky hero and princess rebuilt their land and became the new king and queen. They erased the damage that he, Ganon, had caused. They had children and this further spited Ganon. He knew that everything he had ever done had been for nothing. Whenever he got the opportunity he tried to break out of his prison, simply because it was something to do.
Containment was so dull of an existence he didn't even really care that he was always recaptured and sent back to his containment. He developed new abilities to try to out-do the disgusting beings that called themselves people. All the races; Hylian, Sheikah, Gerudo, Zora, Goron, and Rito worked together to keep him contained. So, he made himself extremely resilient, he became able to regenerate damage done to himself by consuming almost anything around him.
As the years turned into decades, his abilities initiated a continuous race between him and his captors. His regeneration combined with his new ability to adapt his own body at will forced them to periodically revise his containment methods. Their means of fighting him also changed over time. At first, they used spears, swords, bows and arrows. But eventually they got something called guns, they changed his containment to involve being submerged in acid. They decided on acid because with everything else he adapted against it. He didn't keep his adaptations forever unfortunately but it allowed him to resist their attempts as much as possible.
When they caused him damage, he would accumulate it at first, until his regeneration inevitably overtook the rate the damage was coming in. The regeneration would also occur with his adaptation, with said adaptations being specifically against what was harming him. If they tried burning him, he would regrow with tissue that couldn't burn. If they tried slicing him, he would make himself too hard to be cut. Everything they would do, he would counter.
Centuries passed, and Ganon realized something. They weren't actually trying to kill him, they knew he was immortal, due to his curse. They focused on merely trying to incapacitate him whenever he breached his containment chamber.
Centuries became millennia and the people of Hyrule somehow forgot that he was immortal and began trying to kill him after yet another breach by him that resulted in the deaths of lots of them. He was amused by this; these ants were trying to accomplish the impossible! He couldn't be killed.
As time had passed he had gradually changed in appearance. While he initially was boar-like, he became more reptilian. This was in part as a result of the acid he was contained in, as scales were more resistant to damage. Eventually he was not like a boar at all, but a giant lizard or dragon without wings. He honestly actually preferred this form, as its longer jaws and bigger teeth made it easier to slaughter any who got in his way.
One day everything changed however, he was sitting in the acid like always, waiting for his chamber doors to open as they always did every week when his captors would try their scheduled termination testing. He eagerly awaited those moments, because they offered him a chance to do what he did best, kill. Alarms would blare, the site would go into lockdown, and then it would be several hours of Ganon against the most dangerous contraption that an army of engineers could come up with. Or sometimes it would be the deadliest creature that they could find to fight him. They had already tried things like that several times, using bizarre abnormalities the likes of which had had never seen before.
On the day in question though, he heard some people talking outside his chamber. He listened curiously.
"What are we putting the reptile against now?" One asked.
"Yeah, he's survived literally everything we've ever thrown at him." Another agreed.
"We're gonna put him against the gate guardian." A third voice replied.
Five minutes of silence passed. Ganon wondered why the term 'gate guardian' resonated so much with him. Why did that sound so familiar? He didn't get to ponder this however, as a gas suddenly began to billow into his cell. He knew what it was, having been through this process before. He held his breath as long as he could, but eventually he was forced to breathe and the tranquilizer gas began to take effect. As the acid was drained away, his vision swam, then tilted to one side, before going dark as he lost consciousness.

The first thing he was aware of was that he was moving. He opened his eyes and looked around him, he was in darkness. There were small, bright spots of light around him, he squinted into the near blackness around him, trying to see more. When his eyes adjusted, he saw metal walls around him, he was inside a shipping container he realized. This intrigued him, he had been in these containers before, a couple times. His interest was due to the fact that if he was in one of these, that means he was being brought somewhere. More importantly they put him in here, therefore they would have to take him out, and when they did he would be waiting for them. He settled himself down to wait, he could break out if he really wanted to, but he was also curious to find out where the humans were bringing him. He could be patient, he could wait.
As he waited, he noticed something else. It was getting hotter in his container, meaning it was getting hotter outside. It was getting drier too, he put one of his eyes up against one of the holes to try to see outside. Upon looking out, he saw a vast open desert-scape. Just where were they taking him? Suddenly he sensed that he was slowing, wherever they were taking him, they were almost there. He moved away from the hole and got ready to cause carnage, bracing himself to charge as soon as the doors opened.
