The next day at school, Alfred is walking along the hallway whistling to himself. He sometimes does this whenever he is taking a stroll alone. As he walks by the door to the Pageant Club, it suddenly opens slightly, and a group of arms grab his arm and pull him inside, interrupting his whistling. The arms then shut the door as soon as Alfred was inside. The next thing Alfred knows is that he is surrounded by his best friend's girlfriend and her pageant buddies.
"What's this about?!" Alfred inquired, feeling kind of scared.
"Lola told us about your secret," answered Isabelle.
"What secret?"
"Your secret of you secretly wearing dresses. Duh!" Jane replies with somewhat sass.
Alfred looks at Lola. "You told them?!" He shifts from feeling afraid to feeling upset.
Lola slowly nods, smiling nervously.
Alfred stands up and sighs. "Look, I know what you girls are planning to do, but it is not going to work."
"But Alfred," Sally starts speaking, "you shouldn't feel ashamed of doing what you like."
"Yeah. Look at Lucas, Marcus, Mike, and Gus for example. They're obnoxious hooligans, but they aren't ashamed of being that," explained Rhonda.
"And how is troublemaking a good example?" questioned Alfred.
Rhonda fell silent at his rhetorical question.
"I thought so." Alfred crosses his arms.
"Oh come on, Alfie!" Roxanne begged. "There's nothing wrong with wearing dresses!"
"I still think it's weird," Chinah whispered to Jackie.
"Society says otherwise," Alfred remarks.
Roxanne gets down on her knees. "Pleeeeeeeaaaaaase?" She makes puppy eyes.
Alfred sighs in defeat. "Fine." He turns his attention towards the other girls. "What do you ladies have for me?"
The girls smile at that question, knowing what to do.
