Third Person P.O.V
"What do you mean?" Percy asked. Thoughts swirled in his head, but he couldn't place it.
"Sit down," Chiron said, motioning to the empty chairs. Percy and Annabeth looked at each other, but nonetheless plopped down on the comfy chairs provided. Everyone was as silent as the grave, looking grim.
Chiron took a deep breath before addressing the hundreds of campers crammed into the largest room of the Big House.
"As you know, we have many feats. Most of them due to our heroes, Percy, Annabeth and many others, some of which are in this room. However, despite what the gods keep telling us, we have more fiendish fiends out in our dangerous, dangerous world,"
People sucked in a breath, others bracing for the worst. But they all looked at Chiron with wide and apprehensive eyes.
"A new threat is arising," Unrest rose between the campers and the stuttering voices clambered together, making it unable for anyone to make out anything they said.
"CALM DOWN!" Chiron shouted. "This threat is something that three people have already experienced but only two of those have actually seen it."
The horrible truth dawned on them. Everyone was silent, glancing the way of said three people. Unease and apprehension oozed from the cracks of the walls, and the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife.
It seemed to affect everyone, but none more so than Nico Di Angelo, Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase.
Three words were all it took for the carefully done calm to unravel. All it took were three words
"Tartarus was back."
Nico, who blended in with the shadows as if he was one of their own, suddenly ran out the room, tears evident in his eyes. Chiron looked sadly at the exit but did nothing.
Hazel stood, but Chiron stopped her. "Let him be. He needs to calm down."
Pitious looks were shot the remaining two's way. But a dangerous plan was forming in the head of Percy Jackson… a dangerous plan.
But one question lingered.
Was it worth it?
