Okay, I know a few writers have done something similar to this, but I thought I just do this for fun. Basically, it's my ranking of the third generation cast members. But please remember that this ranking is based on MY opinion. If you disagree, then you just disagree. Alright, let's start the ranking.

14) Sugar I know there won't be too much debating on this. Sugar is not only my least-favorite gen three character, but she's also the worst antagonist in Total Drama. Why and how she made it to the Final Three I will not understand, because her character was written so sloppily. Part of her character and plot was harassing Ella. I know you might think, "Well, didn't Duncan do that to Harold, especially in season two?" My counter in that is that while that is true, you have to remember that Harold wasn't innocent in that, with him rigging the votes to boot Duncan's crush and being just as spiteful towards the delinquent. But with Sugar and Ella, Ella never once did anything remotely bad towards Sugar. In fact, she's the only person who tried to befriend her. But Sugar was spiteful to her for no apparent reason. And she even got Ella disqualified out of pure spite. And afterwards, Sugar didn't seem to have any more relevance, aside from being a slightly more antagonistic version of Owen.

Still, just because Sugar's at the bottom of this list doesn't mean she's entirely bad. I will give her credit for trying to split apart Dave and Sky since she knows a couple can be an alliance. And like Sky said during the episode Scarlett Fever, Sugar can be optimistic even when things look very bleak. But for all it's worth, I hope Sugar doesn't show up again in Total Drama, and if she does, I hope she gets the boot early on.

13) Max Now this is venturing into possible debate. Max ranks second in the worst gen three characters. He claims to be 'the most evil thing Total Drama has even seen', but he's completely incompetent at it, with his 'sidekick' Scarlett actually being behind his so-called evil. And honestly, his claim to being evil had gotten pretty stale by episode six. He also served as the season's 'pain magnet', suffering injuries all the time. That aspect I did find pretty humorous, and all those funny moments is why I rank him higher than Sugar, but not by much. Still, he was just a joke character for the Floating Salmon team, and he should've gotten the boot in episode six.

12) Leonard Speaking of joke characters, here's one that you're probably not surprised to see close to the bottom. Yes, the resident LARPer is the third-worst gen three character, and the reason should be fairly obvious. He's so into his character as a mighty wizard that he's practically useless in reality. And out of all the gen three characters, he's the only one to compete in another season, the spin-off Ridonculous Race, but he's quickly cut out of the competition, unable to learn from his mistakes from last time. Very unlikely that he'll appear in another season.

11) Amy Here comes a character that I hate, but I love to hate. (Tricky word play, I know.) So, why Amy's here is understandable. She's highly cruel to her sister Sammy AKA Samey, taking credit for her accomplishments and putting her own shortcomings onto her. But she's somewhat manipulative, being able to trick most of her teammates into taking her side as shown in the episode Twinning Isn't Everything. Speaking of that, I LOVED how she got her comeuppance by unwillingly taking Samey's spot. I like the dynamic Amy has with her sister, which is why I rank her slightly higher, but I don't like that the writers of the season ended the dynamic too quickly. But more on that later.

10) Beardo Now I know I've made an enemy or two with this placement. Beardo doesn't really seem to be that bad of a guy, but he doesn't last long enough to tell. Due to that lack of characterization, it's hard to tell whether you can like him or where you can't stand him. But I think it's nearly universal that he shouldn't have been the first boot. At the very least, his and Leonard's placements should've been swapped. But I really want Beardo to compete in another season, even if it's just to see more of his character.

9) Topher These next two characters were really close, and it was tricky deciding on them. Topher certainly had an interesting arc during his competition, with him trying to take over as host of Total Drama. His arc was one of the things that the writers of Pahkitew Island gotten right. He also has some antagonistic tendencies, though most of them are focused on Chris. If he does appear in another season, I would really love to see him as the main antagonist. But overall, I put him in the neutral territory of gen three characters I like and dislike.

8) Scarlett Like I said before, it was hard to judge these two characters. But Scarlett's arc in Pahkitew Island was actually pretty ingenious. I loved how she turned out to be a ruthless villainess and even had Chris scared for a few brief moments. Like Topher, her arc was written out pretty nicely, and I liked how she was tricked by Max. While she didn't have any eliminations under her belt, you can't deny that Scarlett is completely wicked with a supermassive brain to back it up, a very dangerous combination.

7) Shawn Another character that I had trouble ranking, Shawn is slightly above the neutral territory. While most of the gen three cast had a gimmick that either got old and stale or the character was cut pretty quickly, Shawn's gimmick of being a zombie-apocalypse survivor was probably the only one that I never got too sick of. Not only that, it had been proven more of a help than a hindrance, with the only exception being in episode five, A Blast From the Past. His relationship with Jasmine was also really good to see, and it helped him grow a little. The reason I put him here isn't because I dislike him. It's because I like other characters more.

6) Jasmine This was the gen three character that should've been in the finale. Jasmine has had quite an arc in her season, with being a supporting person to Samey, a great team leader, and the perfect boyfriend to Shawn. But really, her actions cannot be put into words alone.

5) Ella How can you not like such a pure person? Though slightly naive, she has one of purest hearts out of the entire cast of Total Drama. While she did have a gimmick like most of the cast, being a parody of a Disney princess, it didn't get too stale, unlike Max's and Sugar's. And I liked the dynamic she had in the relationship between Dave and Sky. It's sad how she was unfairly cut due to Chris not liking her singing coaxing the wildlife. I really hope she gets into another season.

4) Sky Out of all the gen three cast, she's the most level-headed and quote-unquote 'normal' of them. Some people say that Sky's a bit of a Mary-Sue, but her dynamic with Dave proves otherwise. I am a HUGE fan of the Sky/Dave ship and do believe it's canon. But it's really sad how the writers ended up destroying it with a weak plot twist. It really should've been written better, but that's why fanfiction exists. All in all, Sky's another person I want to see in another season, even if it's just to better resolve the Sky/Dave relationship.

3) Dave And speaking of which, I rank Dave as my third-favorite gen three character, which I know will spark up debate. I honestly like him and some of his faults, like being a bit of a germaphobe and not tolerating Leonard's 'magic'. He was a great character up until midway through episode eight, Three Zones and A Baby. I don't know why the writers made him more...whiny, for a lack of a better word. And the next episode, Hurl And Go Seek, might have been better for Jasmine and Shawn, but just plain awful for Dave and Sky. And the writers had the nerve to turn him into the bad guy in the finale with that cruddy excuse for a plot twist. Like I said with Sky, I hope Dave gets another season even if it's just to resolve his plot with Sky. And he could possibly become the next season's underdog and win it, sort of like Beth did in season two.

2) Rodney I know a lot of you are thinking Rodney's a weird choice for second-favorite, but hear me out. He's one of those characters that was oozing with potential but ended up turning into a joke. Him stumbling to figure out his beloved was pretty cute to watch, and he was pretty helpful to his team, until episode four rolled along. It's like they created that episode specifically to figure out how to boot him by preying on his weakness to fall for any girl that gives him a second glance. He really deserves another chance, doesn't he?

1) Samey/Sammy And it's no surprise that Samey is my favorite gen three character. (Yes, I know people prefer to call her Sammy, but she is officially known as Samey, hence why I refer to her by that name.) She had one of the most disliked arcs in the fandom. Like I said before, I personally loved how Samey gave Amy her karma by making her unwilling take her place. However, they chose to end her plot fairly quickly afterwards. Personally, I didn't mind how the writers had Amy return and try to get back in the competition only to get booted with her twin, but I hated how they closed it so quickly. At the very least, the Samey/Amy plot shouldn't have been condensed to five episodes. She could've had a great underdog arc, but like most of the gen three cast, Samey was written out so poorly. She more than deserves to win the next season of Total Drama.
