Hey, welcome to my story. I am basing this upon a meme series I found online of Luz being an angel or something. I hope it's okay and I will try to not mess up the characters. I do not own any of this, The Owl House and all of it's characters belong to Disney. I only own whatever OCs I add in. Thank you.
Chapter One
Luz woke up with a start, realizing today was the day of her first assignment. Luz didn't know what it was, but she was still excited, yet quite nervous about it. Luz got dressed and hurried out the door, almost forgetting she had wings until she hit them in the doorway. Luz winced and folded them in so she could get out. Luz took a few deep breaths and flew to the assignment center. Luz landed at the doorway and took a moment to gather her confidence before opening the doors and walking in.
Luz was met by Alice, her mentor angel. Luz asked, "So, what's my assignment Miss Alice?"
Alice chuckled and led Luz into her office, "Well, we are going to be instituting a program. Since you are one of my brightest pupils, I thought you would be the perfect test candidate."
Luz and Alice sat down, at opposite ends of the table. Luz asked, "What kind of program is it?"
Alice cleared her throat and pulled out a file, "These are the details. You can read over them when you get there, they will tell you everything you need to know. Basically, you are going to be attending a human school. Blend in, get to know the crowd. Get to understand how the human teen's mind works. Since you are 14, you should blend right in. We're making you a freshman in high school."
Luz's eyes widened, "I get to go to a human school?!"
Alice chuckled, "Yes, you do. However, there are a few rules involved."
Luz nodded, "Lay them on me."
Alice's face turned serious, "Nobody can find out who you really are. To them you are just a new transfer student. You are a human, got that?"
Luz replied, "Of course."
Alice continued, "You also can't use your powers to intentionally harm another."
Luz asked, "Why would I ever do that?"
Alice finished off, "There's also the basic rules and procedures, but there is something else. Don't fall in love. I know you are only 14, but it can happen. Heck, you can fall in love, but just don't act on it, okay?"
Luz gulped, "What happens if I end up breaking any of these rules?"
Alice's face dropped and turned dark, "A wide variety of things depending on the severity. Anything from a warning to being cast out of heaven, being stripped of your angel status, and being cursed to live out your life as a human. Got that?"
Luz replied shakily as she took the file, "Of course. I won't let you down."
Alice's face lightened up, "Good, now off you go."
Alice clapped her hands and Luz found herself sitting on a park bench. Luz looked around and was amazed by her surroundings since this was her first time on Earth. Luz opened the file and pulled out the first paper, which read, "Oh, and by the way, this program lasts until you are either expelled or graduate high school. Remember the rules and I believe in you. Signed, Alice."
Luz stared at the paper with wide eyes, unable to believe what she read. Luz then shook her head and sighed, "Guess I'll be going."
Luz checked her mental clock, 7:29 AM. Luz pulled out another page that read, "Also, you will have to be at school by 7:45 each morning. You will instinctly know how to get there. You will meet up with the principal, Principal Bump, to get your schedule and given a tour. Good luck again. Signed, Alice."
Luz groaned, she only had 16 minutes to make it. Luz looked over and found a backpack had materialized with a note on top reading, "This is what you will need."
Luz opened the bag and slipped the folder in before zipping it back up and rushing off, wanting to get there on time. In her haste, however, she forgot to check where she was doing and collided with someone, both parties falling to the ground. The person she collided with growled, "Watch it, nitwit!"
Luz got a good look at the person she ran into and saw that she was about her age and was pale. Luz scrambled up, "I am so sorry. Let me help you."
The girl slapped Luz's now extended hand away and snapped, "I don't need anybody's help! Now you better stay far away from me if you know what's good for you!" The girl stood and noticed Luz's wings. She stammered, "W-what?"
Luz, puzzled, asked, "What?"
The girl pointed, "Wings! You have wings!"
Luz panicked, not sure why a human could see an angel's wings since they were supposed to be able to, "What? You're crazy. Must've hit your head or something when you fell."
The girl studied Luz for a moment and then shook her head, "Whatever, you're probably right. Why would a clumsy fool like you have wings anyway?"
The girl walked away and Luz slumped to the ground on her knees. A clumsy fool? Was that all she was? What if, what if she couldn't handle this assignment after all? Luz then stood up and composed herself, "No problem, just one person, right? Surely not all humans are like that."
Luz then hurried, desperate to make it on time, especially because of the delay.
This is crappy, and the flow is terrible, I know. I'm trying my best though and I would appreciate any comments, tips, or criticism anybody wants to offer, good or bad. I will probably end up rewriting this when I get better at this. Thank you and see you all for the next chapter!
