Hello Guys, Gals, and Non-Binary pals, it's me again, but coming at you with chapter four. I would like to, once again, apologize for chapter three. As always, I don't own the Owl House. Only the creators and Disney do. I only own my OCs. If you can think of a character you would like to see that hasn't been introduced yet and can think of a possible way that they can be introduced, you can either comment down below or directly message me and I will take recommendations under advisement. Think you all for reading this far and I will get on with the chapter.

Chapter Four

That night as Luz went to sleep, she thought of everything that had transpired the day before and the people she met. She thought of how unfair it was that Eda was cast out of heaven, she thought of how nice and welcoming Willow and Gus were, and she thought about Boscha and Amity. Boscha seemed like a big bully, a jerk, but Luz strongly believed that anybody could change or that everybody had something good inside. Luz thought about Amity and was perplexed. Honestly, Luz thought there was something about her, but just couldn't pin what it was. Something besides Amity being able to see her wings. That was odd, yes, but Luz also thought that she had noticed something in Amity's eyes that she couldn't pinpoint. Something important. Something crucial.

The next morning Luz awoke to Eda yelling, "Time for you to get ready for school! Go get showered and dressed, alright? Can't have you stinkin' up the place."

Luz shrugged and dragged herself out of bed, both looking forward to and dreading the following day. Luz took a quick shower and change her clothes with a circle of her finger. Luz yawned and grabbed her bag, noticing it was open. Luz asked, "Did I leave my bag open last night or did you open it? I'm not complaining either way, but-"

Eda walked in, wearing some old clothes and a pair of fuzzy bunny slippers. Eda replied, "Yeah, I grabbed the folder to read through it. Did you know that you have money? Like, real money?"

Luz asked, "What?"

Eda passed her a sheet of paper and said, "Here, read this."

Luz grabbed the note, instantly recognizing Alice's handwriting, which she read aloud, "'Luz, things on Earth are costly and expensive, so there is a card attached. The card will work at any bank to withdraw cash or at any machine. The card will serve many purposes and you will never run out of money, okay? The card is for any expenses that you run into. It should help you fit in. To blend in. Use it wisely and don't be shy on spending. Sincerely, Alice.'"

Eda pipped, "See, money! You have money!"

Luz pulled a rectangular plastic card off the bottom of the paper and commented, "Huh. Maybe I should get one of those rectangular devices later. I noticed that a lot of the other kids had them."

Eda raised her eyebrow, "A cell phone? You seriously don't know about cell phones?"

Luz raised her hands up in defense, "Hey, I'm an angel, remember?"

Eda sighed, "Kid, after you get home from school today, we are getting you a phone. Most people can't function in modern society without one. Now scoot, you'll be late for school."

Luz grabbed her bag and pocketed the card. She slipped the folder back in her bag and zipped it as she rushed out the door and down the stairs. Making sure that nobody was around, Luz launched into the sky and soared over to the school, landing behind the same bush as last time. When she stepped out, she saw Amity and sighed, "You again?"

Amity, who was recording with her phone, scoffed, "Now I have proof. Meet me on the roof during lunch or I'll release the video. Even if nobody else can see the wings, they will still see you flying. Everyone will see what a freak you really are."

Amity flicked her hair and walked away as Luz stood there, frozen in both shock and fear. Even though she was a bully, Amity wouldn't show people the video, right? Luz then rushed to class, cursing herself for being so careless.

During first period while Mrs. Bradford was talking, Luz couldn't concentrate. She kept thinking about what Amity said. After class was over and the bell rang to transition to the next one, Willow stopped Luz, "Hey, are you okay? You didn't seem like you were really here. Something wrong?"

Luz put on a fake smile, "Of course. Everything is fine. But on a completely not related note, if Amity recorded you doing something and threatened to expose you unless you met her someplace, what would happen?"

Willow sighed, "Well, it depends. If it's something you really don't want getting out, it doesn't hurt to meet her. You have to be careful though because she has trapped people in embarrassing positions though, usually by pranking them, by luring them somewhere. Why? What did she catch you doing?"

Luz went pale again, sweat beading down her forehead, "Noting, it's nothing. Forget about it, please."

With that Luz bounded of to her next class before Willow could say anything else, leaving Willow behind, concerned and confused.

As lunch started, Luz found a roof access point and opened the door, going up the steps until she came to another door that opened to a beautiful scene. There were rows of plants under mini roofs that covered many of them. Luz looked around and saw Amity sitting on a bench, looking up at the sky. Luz approached her and sat down next to her, unsure of what to say. Amity spoke, "You know, there's something about you. Something off and strange. I've observed your behavior. If people didn't know what they were looking for, they might not notice. Want to know what I've observed?"

Luz gulped, "What is that?"

Amity chuckled, "You don't fit in. You are odd. This is normal. You are a new kid. Yet you have these beautiful white wings that you can fly with. This is strange. You are an anomaly. So I will ask you, one last time, what are you?"

Luz, sweating, asked, "How can I be sure that you will get rid of the video or not show it to anybody?"

Amity turned to Luz and said, "A Blight always keeps their word and holds up their end of the bargain. With that said, I promise to delete the video of you flying if you tell me what you are. I know that you said there were laws against you telling me, but I don't care. I need to know. You confuse me. I am Amity Blight, I'm not supposed to get confused. Oh, yet I will release the video if you refuse to tell me, so there's that to consider."

Luz sighed and cleared her throat, knowing what she had to do. "Amity, do you really want the truth and the whole truth about me? About who and what I am?"

Amity nodded, "Yes."

Luz looked down at her feet and replied, "I was born a little over 14-and-a-half years ago in a town called Gravesfield, Connecticut to a woman named Camila Noceda and her husband. The only thing is, is that there were complications and I died less than a few hours later. So, being an infant, I was brought up to heaven and made an angel. That's where a lot of angels come from. Dead babies and little children. They are raised in heaven, trained to be angels, just like I was. I got my first assignment yesterday. I am supposed to come down and become one with the humans and learn all I can until I either graduate or am expelled."

Amity's jaw dropped open and a figure came out from behind some plotted plants, "What?"

Startled, Luz turned to find Willow. Luz exclaimed, "Willow! What are you doing here?!"

Willow replied, "I was concerned about you, so I followed you here."

Luz sighed, "Great. One of the rules was that nobody can find out who I really am, and now two humans know. This is an ancient law of heaven, so that means I have royally messed up if they find out."

Amity asked, recovering from the shock, "Let's say that I believe you, what would happen to you if they found out?"

Luz gulped, "Well, let's just say that I would either be warned, or cast out of heaven and cursed to live out the rest of my life as a mortal human. Given the fact that my secret has been found out by two humans because I have ben so careless, I would probably be cast out of heaven and be made human. I'm so stupid."

Tears came to Luz's eyes as she did her best not to cry. Willow came over and comforted her, "Hey, I believe you. I'm also sure that you aren't stupid."

There was a flash of light and Alice stood before the three. Alice exclaimed, "Really Luz? My best student? I had so much confidence in you and you blew it on the second day!"

The dam broke and Luz cried, "I'm sorry, it was an accident!"

Alice sighed and was about to say something before Amity, who was still partially stunned, interjected, "It's my fault ma'am. I pressured her. I blackmailed her. Don't blame her."

Alice waved her hand over Amity and asked, "Well, Amity Blight, how did you get on her trail? You caught her flying, twice. You can see her wings. It was a matter of time before she was found out."

Willow inputted, "Wait, how can Amity see Luz's wings? I know I can't."

Alice sighed, "That is peculiar." Alice thought to herself and cleared her throat, "I'm the only person in heaven who knows about this. I will keep this under wraps if you all can promise that this won't go any further."

The three nodded as Luz asked, "Really?"

Alice replied, "Really. Just… be more careful, okay Luz? I don't want to see you cast out of heaven because of this."

With another flash of light, Alice was gone. Amity pulled out her phone, deleted the video, and rushed back into the school, getting off the roof. Willow took Amity's seat and looked Luz in the eye, "Luz, tell me everything. I have the right to know."

Hey everyone, I'm sorry for this being such a long chapter. There's so much stuff I wanted to fit in, and I even put stuff in I was going to wait until chapter five to put in. I'm sorry for how rushed some of this seems, but I'm just so excited with so many ideas flowing through my head. I should probably do some homework though. Remember to feel free to leave any criticisms or comments down below, recommendations as well. I started to write this immediately after chapter three was posted, so if there's anything from FanFiction, comments or messages, I haven't seen them yet. I will check them out though if there are any and address them in chapter five. Thank you all once again for reading this far and I'll see you next time.
