CHAPTER 4- (KIND OF) A NORMAL DAY
Marco woke up earlier than usual, it was a few days after his first war (?) in Mewni, it wasnt something spectacular, those solders were very stupid sometimes, he was laying in comfortable bed Solaria was kind enough to provide for him, he expected to live in soldier barracks, not in castle right in the middle of Solarias and Eclipsass room, the shouts he heard sometimes sin the middle of night coming from green haired girl were concerning at most, he reacted like that sometimes when he spotted Janna in his room looking at him with michievous eyes, he wanted to seee what this is all about and maybe help her, but the both of them are...not on good common ground with each other, the constant glares she is throwing at him indicates she dont want him here, he didnt do anything wrong for gods sake...well he just slept with the mother of one of the darkest and powerful Mewni Queen he ever met, he laughed nervously thinking what she could already do to him if she wanted, probably that her mother would punish her she is not doing anything.
-sir Marco, your breakfast is served- he flinched at the maid who was standing on the left side of his bed. All of them are as silent as mice, they will enter the room without you knowing, very creepy for Marco, too much Janna in them.
-please dont scare me like that, give me a warning- he sighed, he could feel that his heart nearly stopped there.
-im sorry sir, im sure i will give you the warning- she exited his room just as silently as she entered. How many secrets this castle has, maybe someday he will know some of them.
-so Marco...tell me how you are going after this magnificent fight Mewni had hmmm- Solaria tried to lighten up the mood, but it didn't helped, he had his head bowed between his shoulders, the reason is simple, Eclipsa was watching him as Hawk his prey, her narrowed eyes and silent judgment she sent him was overwhelming, she didnt even started eating her food, her fork is bended in her hand that is as white as snow now, he heard it break and couldn't help from flinching, he knows that showing it means that he is afraid of her and she will use this.
-i-i-think im not t-that hungry, thank you for this S-Solaria- he rushed quickly from the room, second after him one chair scratched through the floor, he know who this is, he speed up to jogging, he don't want to be dead, he must talk with Glossaryck to sent him home, he just hope that when he pop out Eclipsa wont recognise him as the same person who slept with her mother otherwise he will be skinned alive, then killed, resurrected and killed again, he can't let that happen. Marco was hidden behind one of the pillars, sweat purred down his body. He was running for nearly a whole hour, the distance between them is not big, she is standing right in front of the place he is hiding, she will hear his heart beat if she listens closely.
-WHERE IS HE, YOU THERE DID YOU SOMEONE RUNNING IN THAT DIRECTION- the angry shout shaken him badly, the maid in question were not good either, the fear on her face was priceless, she just pointed into random direction, Eclipsa dashed in the direction, Marco heard her footsteps getting faint second by second, he released the breath he didn't knew he was holding, maybe it would be good to visit some of the city and around to make this day productive, he don't have anything to do anyway.
Marco was walking slowly through the roads of Mewni and he must say that war is affecting this place greatly, not many people on streets, more of them walking quickly like expecting an attack, stalls nearly empty, sellers either sleeping or doing something to waste their time, the sight is pitiful, that's what war is doing to this kingdom. From what Star was telling him about history of this place, she never mentioned something like that, she always were telling that Mewni had everything, food, army, riches and everything else, but now when he sees it with his own eyes he wants to help those people to survive, he walked to place that were selling fruits, he spot many he did not recognised, some even has something that looks like eyes on them, ew.
-excuse me how much for that- he asked with a smile gesturing to fruit that looked like apples, but with purple color, the seller looked up from his book and his eyes lit with enthusiasm.
-that will be only 3 gold coins young man- he smiled and Marcos eyes nearly popped from sockets for 3 gold coins he could buy a good sword or horse, that much for one fruit, how much did this kingdom fall.
-alright here you are- Marco handed him enough money from his pouch he kept on his waist, the man nearly cried from the sight, Marco just took his fruit and started walking again munching on it from time to time, flavour was very similar to apple, but more sweet, as he was walking he spotted soldiers training, he stopped to look, their technique wasn't bad, better than monsters that for sure, he counted nearly 30 or something more soldiers around looking very closely to them, maybe those were instructors showing them how to fight properly, maybe he should join them and show them a few tricks he learned, he shook his head, he was here to relax for the day, he continued hi walk, seeing more and more people enjoying a sunny day, even in the middle of the war people can take time to enjoy themselves, maybe this kingdom is not so bad as he though, he smiled at the sight of kids running playing tag from what he could see, he remembers himself and Janna playing it in kindergarten before she become his personal stalker and prankster, his face fell when he remembered that he may not see her anymore, his parents, Star, Alfonso, Ferguson, Kelly, Pony Head and everyone else, he must choose, being here and help or return to his time, the choice will be hard, he already feels comfortable here, he spent several years in Neverzone catching Hekapoo...Hekapoo, he really miss her person, her snarky comments, her laugh and taunts, it always put smile on his face even if he was near death, she even saved him few times before he died, she said that all was for her reputation, that she couldn't allow her playtoy being killed randomly like that, but he knew better, from the look of her eyes, he knew she cares for him like a brother, he could always sense her nearby watching him from shadows, many times he saw dead enemies before he encountered them, he quickly connected the dots, at first he was angry at her, but he quickly accustomed to this situation and started enjoying the help. He was still walking through the streets of Mewni looking at wooden building, he spotted some stone building but those were occasional and probably available only for rich population of Mewni, but from what he heard Queen plans to expand her kingdom a bit towards the mountain to obtain more resources, he should help in take over, those terrains are occupied by rough monsters, they are usually stronger than those in the army, live on their own in rough environment made them better than average monster, this will be indeed a hard fight, Marco smiled imagining how big impact his person can have in this time, usually every person, monster or not that came from Neverzone were questioned by Magic High Commission to see if they are still sane and not trying to start a war, yes, there were cases where coming from Neverzone either from Hekapoos trial or become tired of the dimension wanted more 'fun' in another worlds, illegal fighting, drugs, rapes, everything were recorded and asked by Magic High Commission, he started to think why no one from Commission came for him to queation his motives, but maybe Queen talked to them about him, if yes then he has free hand, he can do pretty everything he can, he can leave this dimension, come to Earth and observe how historical things are unfolding in front of him, maybe he can do something interesting with his life than spending it on another war that could be pointless, maybe he should just stop this all and live in some quiet place without anyone knowing, escape this life of constant fighting and death, he sighed knowing that it wont work, whatever he did in Neverzone or whichever Dimension he traveled he always ended in middle of battlefield fighting for something he didnt quiet understand.
-hey you there, stop her, thief!- someone shouted throwing him out of his own mind, his head snapped in direction of the voice, he spotted a hooded person who looked like...Janna, Marco blinked in confusion, how someone can look like the person in 300 years, he sprinted to be sure about his suspicious, he catched to her when she entered alleyway, unfortunately for her, she got trapped.
-hey there, i heard you have something that doesn't belong to you- he spoke calmly trying to not speak to the girl who looked frightened, he saw that her hand was grasping a small knife, he lifted his hands showing he doesn't mean her any harm.
-i won't give it back, i need it- the girl said and Marco shivered, even her voice was similar to the one from his times, now the words she spoke once made some sense 'bad souls lives forever, no matter what, remember that' she said it when they were eating tacos, she said it out of constant, something that confused him greatly, but now he can somewhat understand what she meant, the person in front of him was the same person he grew up with in the future, even her eyes are the same, radiating the same feelings, fear, hatred and something he can't put his finger on.
-why do you need it? you don't look like someone who needs to steal from others- he raised one eyebrow, now he noticed her attire, she looked like many people who walked the streets, plain shirt and dress with flat boots, normal clothes for civilians in the middle of a war. Her eyes hardened, wandering around the place for an escape route, she won't fall for the same thing again.
-those were from my...clients- she didn't said more, she didn't need to, the words she didn't spoke but he understand silent implication, she saw him looked more concerned and sad, she don't need his pity, she survived for years on streets without anyone, her parents were killed by monsters when they attacked, leaving her alone on streets, and no one will take orphan in the middle of war, to much responsibility. She just needs him to lower his guard a little, just a little bit to escape.
-look...we can talk, without fighting and bloodshed, put your knife down and lets talk...i'm able to help you- Marco said with his most friendly smile he could make, he took few steps towards her, he stopped only meters from her, she can easily rush at him and escape, but the feeling in her gut telling her not to fight was overwhelming, for a moment she considered trusting him, his smile was the one her father wore when she hurt herself, but its not her father, he is someone else, someone who will hurt her if she show any weakness. She made her decision, she will kill him and take his gold, maybe with what he has she will be able to pay. She rushed at him with fast steps, Marco sighed expecting something similar, he sidestepped her jab at his heart and slapped her in the back of her head, she yelped not expecting something like THAT to happen, death, pain and humiliation was one of them but the slap on the head, he is treating her like a kid.
-you don't blindly rush at someone kid- he said with hands on his hips, he made face of a parent who is about to reprimand its child, she growled in response, turned around and started slashing blindly at his frame, her every move was to predictable, just like monsters he encountered on battlefield, one sided fight, he expected something more to tell the truth, from the look on her stance and how quick she moved, he expected an assassin in training, or at least a mercenary, not a kid who struggles with life like that.
-i though you are someone better, i'm disappointed realy, your fighting style is the one monster i met in battle- Marco said with bored tone, this game of cut and avoid continues for few minutes now and he still is waiting for something interesting, unfortunately for him those words struck a nerve in the young woman. The moment those words left his mouth her whole being stopped working, she was still trying to harm him but her mind was somewhere else, she remembered the screams, pain and blood, her parents lifeless bodies on ground, her fathers last words to 'live a good life', her mother cold eyes staring into vacant space, the monsters laugh while cutting both of them in half, throwing their bodies for others to eat, the blood seeping through cracks of wall she was in, she observed how her parents bodies are ravaged on her own eyes, something that will haunt her for the rest of her life. With a new found strength and rage she attacked faster and harder, her face a blank mask, Marco was surprised, the girl who could barely make him move nearly killed him if he didnt block the strike with his hand, her moves now faster and stronger, patterns new and changing with every strike, his eyes hardened, he must play harder.
-if she wants to play seriously then i will play seriously- he waited for the perfect moment to strike, her breath was now heavier but her moves didn't falter even for a second. Marco got his opening when she raised her knife above her head to strike him, he kicked with all his power in her abdomen that sent her crushing into wooden wall behind her, she broke right through it, Marco observed, he might killed her with that strike, she didn't looked like someone who can survive this kind of attack, but to his surprise she moved from the pile of wood, she coughed blood, but overall was alright besides small wound and scratches, she turned to him but did not rushed like the last time, marco spotted rusty sword on his right, he grabbed it and turned few times in his hand, it wasn't the best sword he ever had but this one will do just fine, he concentrated once more on his enemy, he can't let this continue anymore, he don't want to kill her. She tightened her grip on her knife, her knuckles turning white, she couldn't harm him when he didn't had any weapon and now he have sword, it might be her end, she will die in alleyway without avenging her parents, but she won't give up without fight, she will fight to her full potential, even when she knows she don't have any, the stranger in front of her knows it to, he moves like a soldier who lived on frontlines. Marco observed his surrounding alleyway like seconds ago, perfect for short sword fight, but he will manage wil the one he has, he will end it with one strike, forcing her to surrender and talk peacefully. She rushed at him once again with intent to stab him right in the heart, Marco put half of his body back and readied his sword, when she was close enough he swung it with speed much higher than hers. The time seemed to slow down on her part, everything came to complete stop when she spotted sword coming at her head, her eyes widened, she could see it cutting through air, her eyes wide focused on person in front of her, eyes cold and blank, without any emotion, just like his face, her mind must have played trick on her, was it fear or something else she didn't knew, she could see someone or something behind him, looking straight at her soul, red piercing eyes focused on her, mouth parted to show long tongue and rows of sharp teeth, black mass jumped from behind him and rushed straight at her, fear replacing hatred and pain, she felt like staring right at demon, a monster parents tell stories about. Marco with blinding speed and strength stopped millimeters from her neck, his eyes never leaving hers own ones, her pupils dilated, looking behind him, at something that wasn't there, she could see it, the force he learned in Hekapoos dimension, he learned the power which is fear, how big influence it can have on someone, that's why he mastered it, he could make them see monster that is ready to kill them, in that method he achieved many things, he would be dead if not for this particular thing. But Marco wasn't surprised by her look, what surprised him the most was lack of reaction from her body, every person he used this ability, fell unconscious among many other things, but she stood there, like nothing happened, only her face shows fear, her body is like a statue, something that intrigued him greatly.
-let go off the knife, we are going to talk- he said applying force on her neck, that seemed to throw her out of the fear state, she yelped but dropped the weapon, satisfied with the outcome he put his own sword aside.
-Now that wasn't so hard was it?- he smiled but it fell when he saw her eyes rolled back into her head, he grabbed her before she hit the ground, with a grunt he lift her bridal style and walked from the alley, he saw someone sprinting towards him, it was the same person who ordered her capture, on his sides were two guards, they stopped in front of him.
-that's...the one, take...her- he barely said, sweat rolling down his face, Marco cant blame him, it wasn't the smallest distance to run, but the two guards were fine, even if they runned with full armor and weapons in their hands.
-we must take her sir, if you would please hand her to us- one of them said, his voice not arrogant but authoritative, Marco nodded slightly, this soldier is very good in his opinion. Marco pulled a gold crest with a Butterfly crest in the middle, guards recognized it immediately and bowed their heads.
-we are sorry sir, we didn't know you are one of her majesty's personal guards- second soldier said, not afraid or ignorant, Marco nodded at them in understanding while the man looked shocked looking between both guards and Marco.
-but she is a criminal, you must arrest her...it's your job after all- he sputtered pointing to her, the soldier who first addressed Marco turned calmly to explain the situation, not many knew about the special crests.
-the thing he has is her Majesty's personal possession, she gives them only to someone who is worth and loyal enough to earn it, he is higher status than any of us, this kind of person will only hear orders from Queen or Princess, eventually from generals, but that's it, if you insult him he can order your execution. We are sorry once again sir- he turned to Marco bowing his head once again, while the second one didn't lift his own, the merchant looked even more shocked, Marco ordered both of them to stand.
-you don't need to apologize, you are just doing your job, and i must say you are bloody good in it, in near future when situation will arise i might consider you to stand on my side in battle, your kind is the one of the best out there, not arrogant, but let's end this now, i need to get her somewhere safe...and probably have room for her in castle- he said with hard face daring them to object, he must remain his face in public, he must be an example, even if he looks like a kid, which he is...but only in body. Guards and merchants looked confused at such weird words, but thanked him notlenless, Marco could see they wanted to ask something, he nodded at them letting them speak.
-I'm sorry sir. But why do you need room for her in castle, from what i know she is wanted criminal, accused of 27 steal cases, what ensure she won't try to steal something from the castle?- the second soldier spoke stoically, without any hint of anger or fear, Marco glanced at the three of them and gestured to them to get closer, which they did, after sending the merchant back to his station of course, he didn't need to listen.
-she will be trained under my personal eye, inform her Majesty that Marco Diaz will take her as his pupil- Marco whispered and smiled as their eyes widened for a second before falling in the same stoic mask, they bowed once again and left to deliver his message leaving Marco with unconscious person in his arms, he sighed knowing he must first tell her the news, she might react badly to them but she will understand in time.
Marco finally found an inn he could rent a room for the day, she will wake in few hours, the person who gave him the key looked at him with suspicion, who wouldn't, he have unconcious girl in his arms and is renting a room for the whole day, Marco sighed and rolled his eyes, he didn't bothered to explain everything again, he has lot to think about. The boy tucked the young girl in bed after tending to her bleeding wounds, fortunately for him he always has bandages on his no matter what, no one knows what can happen in a few hours. Marco took a single chair and brought it near the window. He had a clear view of the castle and forest behind it, he started thinking on what he should teach her, he knows many styles of fighting but all of them for swords, less for daggers and bows.
-maybe i should combine all of them- that wasn't bad idea in his mind, the girl has speed and power in her strikes, he might teach her heavy strike with great speed, using agility to outplay her opponents, speed and flexibility, power and strength, deadly combo if used properly, she has great body built to be an assassin, he nodded to himself liking this idea, what he learned in Neverzone he will use to the fullest, he was thinking on this aspect till cold feeling overtook him, he remembered what he was supposed to do.
-shit...i forgot, i must talk to Glossaryck, i can't make so many….differences in...this world- his mind was blank for a second, he already made changes when he said his name to Solaria.
-does it mean that...i can't go back?- a painful feeling in his stomach making him nearly puke, his breath heavy with eyes wide as saucer plates.
-That's right Marco my boy, you can't return now, you changed many, to many things for even Father Time to repair- Marco turned sharply at the voice, in the middle of the room was floating the blue entity he knew.
-you mean...i cant return...like ever?- even if he knew answer he needed confirmation, which he got from blue person in a single nod, he slumped in his chair, he will never see Star, Jackie, Janna, even Tom, he wont wont see them again, he is stuck here for the rest of his life, blue entity smiled brightly confusing the boy.
-but don't worry Marco, you can change the future for the better, you can change EVERYTHING bad that happened, one thing you already changed for sure- he grinned widely at the confusion he got, he waited patiently for the boy to catch up with it, but soon he did, Marco's eyes widened and his lips made an 'o'.
-that's right, after accepting Toffee and his family in Mewni defying Queens orders, you got an ally of the person who will rule monsters one day, that said Mewni and New Monster clan will be allies, congratulation Marco, you avoided unnecessary bloodbath- Glossaryck clapped his blue hands, Marco found his voice seconds after.
-you mean i can change literally anything for the better- he grinned with new found strength but it disappeared when he saw a seriousd look on glossaryck's face, he never saw him so serious before.
-yes you can change history for the better, but remember Marco that every action has consequences, even if you avoid war with monsters in the future there still will be some of them who don't like peace, that the fate, monsters and Mewans will fight for many generations, even after your death, i can give you only one advice...our time is cutting short, we will meet again in future, remember my advice boy, make this kingdom as powerful as you can, it will be easier in the future generations- with small 'pop' he vanished in air leaving blue mist hanging in air, MArcos eyes were drawn to the young womans body who were opening her eyes with a groan, he stood and walked to her side and sat at the bed, when she saw him her eyes widened in fear and she tried to escape, unfortunately for her he kept her in place with on hand.
-i won't hurt you, i want to talk, and we WILL talk, please give me a chance to explain- his voice from dominating to gentle, he is tired from everything that happened in this few hours, she eyed him warily and winced when his grip tightened, he apologized quickly and let her go, she rubbed her arm, she had red mark.
-we will talk...but how can i be sure you are not here to hurt me, you can do literally anything you want after all- she spat the words glaring at him with pure hatred, he sighed and took gold plate from his pocket, her eyes widened and mouth hang nearly to the floor, she tried to say something but couldn't formulate words, if he felt insulted by her words then she is dead for sure, public execution for sure, or being tortured to death, she shuddered at the images, he saw her more frightened than before and groaned in frustration.
-i will not hurt you kid, i'm here with a proposition- he sat in his chair once again looking straight in her eyes, she had suspicions what these propositions are, but agreed nothenless.
-i want to take you to the royal castle, you will be trained under my hand- he said, hardening his gaze on her, her face blank without any emotion shown, he feared for a moment he broke her mind, until he saw tears running down her face, her shoulders shook lightly.
-why...why are you doing this...i wanted to kill you, don't you remember?- even if she was crying her voice did not lose intensity, Marco eyebrows rose, not many could say words calmly while crying, he sighed and approached her, he sat on her side and hugged her with his one arm.
-that doesn't matter...you know i was nearly the same when my master took me under his wing, i remember this as it happened yesterday- it wasn't long till he accepted Hekapoos trial in fact.
NEVERZONE
Marco got in very big trouble, the only rule in the city he slept in was not to argue with the local lord, which he did, and uas his luck wanted this lord heard everything and ordered every soldier in damn city to hunt him down, but fortunately for him they were not as trained as he was, their heavy armor and weapon made them sluggish and slow, he used speed and his gility to kill them, but luck soon runned out when he got surrounded, he counted how many stood on his way to the city lord.
-25 soldiers and 10 archers, not the best thing in the world- he thought grimly, this will be probably the place of his death, when he planed to rush at the enemy to kill as many as he could before his own death a cloaked figure landed in front him, grabbed his arm and threw smoke bomb under them, the last thing Marco saw and heard were soldiers running in their direction and shouting of mad lord to get their heads. When his senses returned he glared at the person in the hood in front of him.
-i would kill them, you didn't need to interfere, i was perfectly fine- he spat while glaring, the person behind cloak didn't say anything for a second, until Marco heard quiet chuckling followed by laughter.
-please boy, you wouldn't survive if not for me, you don't have experience defeating so many soldiers and archers before they would kill you- Marco just glared harder when he saw smirk on this mysterious person's face, he was mocking him and his abilities to survive.
-i don't need help, I'm perfectly fine myself- he spat and turned around, Marco started walking from the alleyway they were in.
-You are pathetic you know? you are weak, you only killed 7 of them before you were exhausted- the person scoffed, making Marcos blood boil.
-i said i would defeat them- he said with clenched teeths, mysterious person scoffed and laughed once more, this was the moment Marco had enough, he unsheathed his sword and rushed at the person who was perfectly still, Marco though that he wants to die, he wasn't protecting himself. Marco was wrong though, before he could blink, sword was pressed to his neck, he gulped feeling cold steel on his adams apple, his eyes widened just slightly, but he wasn't afraid, just surprised, not of the speed this person defeated him, but of the fact that something prevented him from swinging his own blade, like an invisible hand grabbed his sword and kept it in one place. Soon Marco realised why, he saw shadow shift around him, he felt something moving under him, he glanced down and saw something climbing his legs, black mist like snake crawling on his body, soon it reached his shoulders, it transformed into snake, black eyes and sharp fangs with long tongue near his neck, hissing at him threateningly, if not the fact he was fighting against more scary creatures he would piss himself, he locked eyes with weird creature while the person observed amused.
-you know...not many can oppose this power- his voice audible that Marco could barely hear him, but he didn't take his eyes from the beast on his shoulder, he must be ready to defend himself if a situation arises, a mystery person humming in satisfaction.
-I decided, I will teach you- a simple sentence made Marco snap his head to the cloaked figure and glare at him.
-i don't need your help- he couldn't say another word when sword quickly snapped in his direction, Marco hissed in pain when his cheek was slashed, blood pouring from the wound, black snake licked some blood with its long tongue.
-don't you want to return to your realm?- words that froze Marco to the core, his hand shook lightly as he looked at the person in suspicion.
-how do you know i'm not from here?- he narrowed his eyes at the person who didn't reveal his face...yet.
-i didnt, you just told me this now- he heard smirk in those words and he cursed himself internaly, how stupid can he be.
-i repeat, don't you want to return to Earth? to Janna, Star and rest of your friends?- now that was just plain creepy in Marcos opinion, it's too suspicious that this person knows so much about him.
-of course i want to return, but i must pass the trial first- he said calmly, not trying to anger the person who knows him so well, it might end poorly for him, cloak walked towards him sheathing his sword.
-then allow me to help, i will train you in everything i know and in return you will carry my memories to other generations- shadows around Marco returned to its previous state, Marco could move freely, he could kill the person in front of him, but if he blocked the strike then he is dead instead, he looked at the outstretched hand with hard gaze, he thought on good side and bad side of the things, but ultimately he grabbed the strangers hand, he chukled.
-good decision, you can call me Johnatan, i'm your master from now on- Marco raised eyebrow at the name, it was very popular name on Earth, maybe this person is from Earth and don't want to reveal himself
MEWNI
Marco finished his short story with a smile. He is happy he accepted the training, the skill came in handy many times, he looked at the girl who had raised both eyebrows they nearly were in her hairline.
-so...will you accept it or not?- he outstretched his hand, the girl did not hesitated and grabbed his with look of determination, he made good decision after all, but he realised he need to explain situation clearly to Solaria, and she won't like it for sure, and there is chance to met Eclipsa there looking for him, probably to kill him or something similar, she saw his face turned into annoyance then something similar to fear, she raised eyebrow while waiting for him to say something and guide her in the future, she cant get ready to start training, she will join frontlines and happily kill few monsters who made her life miserable, she smiled sadictaly, making Marco shudder, Janna had the same look when she wanted him in one of her crazy rituals, he started thinking if training person like Janna is a good idea.
-My Queen please understand that this decision will benefit greatly not only me and you but the whole kingdom- Marco tried for the past 2 hours to make Solaria accept redeemed thief, she disagreed when he said she is thief, he knew this is not easy but he must take her as his personal student.
-are you sure it's a wise idea Marco? what if she wont turn to the good side, you know how many valuable items we have here?- she frowned at the person behind her knight who avoided her sight every time, Marco sighed and nodded.
-yes My Queen, i will take full responsibility for her- he was still kneeling, for two hours without moving, he didn't feel his legs anymore, Solaria sighed but finely crumbled, she has hope in Marco for being responsible.
-i trust you Marco, but mark my words, she makes one wrong move and you will take her punishment is that clear- he once again got reminder why she was called one of the best Queens of Mewni, he felt power rolling from her, her sharp gaze drilling hole in his head, he lifted his head to look at the glowing eyes, he felt gasp behind him, he knew that she will need lesson on spirit straightening, fortunately for him he faced monsters with much more powerful aura in Neverzone.
-i promise My Queen, i will teach her to the best of my abilities- he said looking straight in her eyes, he could swear he saw slight smile on her lips, but it could be his imagination or hallucination from her power, she nodded once and waved them, dismissing both of them.
When Marco and Juliet exited the chamber they started walking to her room, the silence between both persons wasn't awkward, it was bearable.
-We will start your training tomorrow, it's nearly time for bed, i will escort you to your room and gather you in the morning, but let me warn you, in my lessons there will be pain and blood, i won't let you rest till you master the lesson, is that understood?- his voice from gentle to steel and powerful, he turned to her, he saw her determined look as she nodded, he smirked knowing she will regret agreeing to this, he will make this painful just as his master did for him.
-here is your room...good night Juliet- he nodded and left her to her own devices, he walked to his own room, he shivered, feeling someone watching him from the shadows, he glanced around him as he opened the doors to his room, nothing was in hallway, then why is he having this feeling something will happen.
-that must be my imagination- he shrugged as he entered his private bathroom, but he still had the feeling of dread, he rarely got this kind of feeling, he shrugged it on his paranoia, it must be it, nothing else. After a warm bath he could finally rest for the day, he laid in his comfortable bed and stretched, with a satisfied sigh he finally fell asleep waiting for tomorrow to start his new job.
