Berry Punch watched as the last of the revelers left her bar and close the door. She hated this day for at least a hundred reasons but at least she had a thousand and two for loving St. Paddy's day. One of those reasons was because this was the day she gained her cutie mark in making, tasting, and working with booze. No one else in all of Ponyville knew more about alcohol like she did. Nopony else could mix her drinks and make her booze with her talents.
However, this lead to one of the many, many, many reasons she hated this day. After she got her cutie mark, she was mocked and teased by her classmates constantly. They thought she was going to become the town lush, drinking her life away in some back alley in Las Pegas or somewhere. Never ebing sober for less than a minute.
Of course that was only partly true, she did drink a lot, but never to excess. The only time she ever drank too much to the point where she made mistakes was one time and that-
Was the other reason she hated the day.
She was young, and how was she supposed to know that drinking and heat don't mix. How was she supposed to know a stallion would bang her and then pick up and leave her with a filly. How was she supposed to know that would make her the bar owner in ponyville as a means to support her daughter at the cost of a career and how was she supposed to know-
"Momma!" shouted a little light purple filly as she ran in, bouncing on her heels. "I just booted two lushes today."
"Did ya really kid?" asked Berry as she put her head on her hooves and looked at her Ruby, "And what did ya do?"
"Well, I came to the house and these two guys were standing outside. I told them to go home so I can play with momma and they said no. And I told them if they don't then I'll bring out my secret weapon." Ruby said.
Berry laughed ass she made two fruit juices for her and and her daughter, "And that was."
"They would make me sad," Berry said, making a pouty face.
"And they ran away, because no one would break a little filly's heart!" BErry said, sliding her drink over. "That's a good girl."
"I learned it from the best momma in the whole world," Ruby said, sipping er drink.
Yeah, Berry had a 100 reasons to hate today. But sitting in front of her, was reasons 1-1000 why she loved it.
