Ochacko was stunned, her phone emitting the dull blue light onto her shocked features.

'I think we may need to take a break, take some time for ourselves.'

Never in the 3 years they've been dating would she expect to receive that type of message, least of all from Izuku Midoriya. But the underlying anxiety she felt in the pit of her stomach was just confirmation of the doubts she's been having the past few months. Confirming again of her doubts, Mina's advice rattled in the back of her mind like hot marbles;

'You know how focused Midoriya gets- his brain is like a fucking bullet. And unfortunately girl, I feel like you haven't been his number one target - not for a hot ass minute.'

Subtle tears leaked from her eyes as she set her phone down, the darkness of her room adding to the emptiness that she felt. But then her anxiety was fleeting- the fire of agitation in her throat was more palpable as she laid there. All these years- all this work they've put into their relationship, and now these simple words are what is going to tear it down without her even getting the chance to discuss her emotions first? No… That's not how this works. This isn't how they've communicated, how they worked toward graduating High School together, and the decisions they made for their first year in college… All these choices, all the late night phone calls, midnight dinners- lead up to this?

She was angry now. She could feel her face grow hot, jaw clenching as her tears flowed now out of spite. If this was how he would like to create space- take a damned 'break' after everything, she was going to make sure what that focused, annoyingly cute, airhead will be missing out on-

Her.

Days passed and Ochako ignored the further text messages from Midoriya, all asking if she was alright, okay, or if he should call her to explain further. Of which Mina declared; 'Pathetic and fuck boy level low'. Ochako couldn't deny some of that statement- Why would he ask if she's alright when he had said such a thing? Wouldn't he know how she'd react? It made her heart that much heavier and the 'revenge' plan she flushed out with Mina was kindled even more. She stared at herself in the mirror. She just stood there, quietly staring at her naked form. The dip of her breasts, her abdominals, her hips, the curves leading to her bare center- all places his hands had touched and kissed, places he had loved. Her hands ghosted over skin, hovering over her stomach, turning to look at her glutes. Flashes of the nights they spent together went across her vision. Her sex life with him was good, slow, and passionate. He always took her into account, the overall pace, when she was feeling good, and the days she wasn't. But now here he is, saying to take a break from all of that, when they haven't even begun to scratch the surface of their intimacy. She had wanted bite marks on her shoulders, bruises of where he held too tight, and marks that were left on each other as a reminder. Then, to look into a mirror as the days pass, to watch them fade and hold onto the anticipation that they will be created once more.

With that thought tingling at her nerves, she grabbed her black trench coat, hanging on her closet door. The bottom half of the coat was pleated from the belt, allowing the fabric to flow, and which further accentuated her hips. Just below her coat, silently waiting their command, where her red Loui Vitton knockoffs Mina had bought for her birthday 2 years back. She sent a slight 'Thank you' to the air, as those shoes are keeping her will in check, and mainly since Mina told her, "If that idiot doesn't bend you over and worship you, then I'm taking those shoes back for myself." Sliding the coat onto her body, the lining smoothing over her skin made her heart race even faster. She secured the belt tight around her waist, looking at her reflection once more. Her hair was styled with gentle waves, small kisses of eyeliner on her lids, and the dark red velvet matte lipstick Momo had painted onto her lips. "You can do this- You Can Do This." She muttered.

Grabbing her heels, she padded from her room to see her roommates, Jiro and Momo sitting on the living room couch. The end credits of a movie scrolled on the TV.

"It was good, the soundtrack was amazing. We can watch it again if you'd like." Jiro commented, looking to where Ochako stood, holding her bright red heels, and her eyebrows rose.

"Who are you hunting down?" she asked.

"Just someone who needs a gentle reminder." Momo responded quietly, smiling at Ochako.

"Ah!" Jiro smiled mischievously, "Well, if you need anything or feel uncomfortable at any time girl, let us know, yeah?" Jiro said, waving her phone. The anxiety that had curled around her chest lessened and she smiled broadly at them both.

"Thank you. Mina also is tracking my location as well." Both girls nodded on the couch with agreement. Ochako slipped her heels on, a perfect fit, she stood a little straighter, and turned to them.

"Wish me luck?" she breathed, the question hanging in the air, which she realized sounded more like she was asking for permission than luck.

"Girl, you've got all the luck with your looks and whatever you've got going on underneath." Jiro stated as she wiggled her finger to Ochako's trench coat.

"Have fun, love." Momo added to the air of encouragement.

Ochako nodded, taking a deep breath and opened the door.
