It was that time again. That special day in the Arendelle calendar. It was the Arendelle Dance Festival. And why was it very important to Arendelle? Even more important than Christmas, New Year's Day, Elsa's two birthdays or the day when Elsa stopped the Eternal Winter and returned summer to Arendelle nearly nine years ago?

The Arendelle Dance Festival was the most important day of the Arendelle calendar because it was the one time of the year where everyone can dance with their wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, partner or even find a partner. It helped even the shiest kids and adults come out of their shell and find someone to dance with. Even kiss, if they were lucky.

And this festival was important to me personally because it was when I got to play my guitar for the public for the one time of year. Usually, I played it privately for my family and close friends, but when the festival returned for the first time after Elsa became queen and the Eternal Winter ended, they were short of guitar players and it was Anna who recommended that I helped them. It was just for that one time, but because everyone told me I did so well that I played in the band every festival ever since, with Elsa even promoting me to lead guitarist.

As Olaf was the only one who couldn't find anyone to dance with apart from Elsa and Anna and my kids and Sven, I let him play the drums to make him feel that he wasn't left out and part of this festival and he always felt better for doing that. We had plenty of volunteers to help us. One to play another guitar and one to play a piano.

This year, we had our usual band. I as the lead guitarist and Olaf on the drums but for the first time since we did this we didn't have any volunteers to help us play another guitar or the piano. But luckily we found someone who could play guitar: our good friend Miguel. We found him when he was trying to rehearse a dance for himself and Elsa, but he looked like he was struggling.

"I've never danced before," he explained to us. "Not even fake dance to distract guards or anything like that. That was Tulio's part while I played the guitar. I'm dancing with Elsa, the Queen of Arendelle, who I'm told that she never danced with anyone at this festival or at any other time in her life."

He was completely right about that.

"So I'm worried about if I'm going to embarrass her and everyone at this festival," he went on.

"Well, you are a great guitar player and we need one for tonight," I said. "So, how's this for a deal? If you help us play the music for tonight, I'll teach you how to dance so you're ready when it's time for you and Elsa to dance." I held out my hand.

"Deal," Miguel said, as he shook my hand.

For the rest of the day, we rehearsed our music and in between breaks I taught Miguel every dance moves I knew. He improved every time he practiced the dances and every time we rehearsed with our guitar playing I felt more confident about tonight.

Then the day everyone in Arendelle had been waiting all year for had arrived. We went to the festival which was in the giant courtyard in the middle of the kingdom. There were lots of market stalls around the square selling all kinds of stuff like food, jewellery, tools, toys, clothes and saunas from our friend Oaken. We were glad that most of the people, if not all of them, were arriving. To me, it made the event worth doing.

Then I, Miguel and Olaf took the massive wooden stage and we waited for Elsa's arrival. When she did, we cheered and bowed down to her.

"Thank you all for coming," she said. "Arendelle has hosted many dance festivals since it was founded centuries ago and I have every confidence that this will be a very good one. Hopefully, even the best one yet. Right, enough words. Let the Arendelle Dance Festival begin."

Then after everyone cheered, Olaf, Miguel and I immediately began to play the music and we watched the first dancers dance while we played.

After a good hour of playing music, it was my turn to take a break and dance with my family. First, I danced with Anna. We did our usual dances we did every year. And then I danced for a bit with Rika. Then I saw Rika dance with a boy who I couldn't remember the name of. All I remember was that he was from Rika's school and he was the same age as she was. And then I saw Kasper dance with a girl from school and she was the same age and again I couldn't remember her name.

Then it was time for Miguel to dance with Elsa. We saw how nervous he was as he approached her. I just hoped he remembered what I taught him to do as Olaf and I continued to play the music. But as we played, I watched Miguel do everything I taught him and he was doing everything right. It looked like he was really impressing Elsa. She looked like she was really enjoying dancing with Miguel. For something that she had never ever done before in her life or was even remotely interested in, that was quite an accomplishment.

Soon everyone was all tired and Olaf, Miguel and I felt that we couldn't play any more music. But before anyone could go home, Elsa had a few things to say.

"First of all, once again, thank you all for coming. Tonight's festival, I believe, has been the very best one in all of Arendelle's history and it's all thanks to everyone, from the music to the market stalls and, most of all, you who came to dance."

Everyone cheered.

"Thank you. But before you go, I have an important announcement to make. But I can't do it on my own. Miguel, could you come here please?"

Miguel did and bowed before her. "Yes, Your Majesty?"

"There's something I must ask you," she said.

Then we all saw her bent her knees before him. Then she got out a shiny red box and opened it up. Inside it was a ring. An engagement ring.

"Miguel, will you marry me?" she asked.

Miguel looked lost for words for a few seconds to make his mind and then he smiled his biggest smile and said, "Yes! I will marry you, Elsa!"

Then the whole kingdom cheered as they, with happy tears, hugged and kissed.

"Now, the future prince Miguel and I are going to retire now," Elsa said. "Once again, thank you, everyone, for making this dance festival the best one ever. Good night."

Then they held hands as they head for home and everyone yet again continued to cheer them. Olaf followed them.

Then we all headed home. I felt tired, but I was proud of what I did tonight. I always felt that after every performance every year.

"You did very well, Kristoff," Anna told me as I walked with my family back home. She kissed me on the cheek.

"You were great, Papa," Rika said.

"Yeah, Papa," Kasper said. "You were totally awesome."

"'And I thought you were the best player tonight'," I said in my voice for Sven.

"Thanks, guys," I said in my normal voice.
