In the dead of night in a desert at Sandy Drifts a large van waited with its head lights on. Inside the van an orange female betta wearing a green turban. On her right was an elderly male lynx wearing a black jacket, they both sat at a computer. In the front passenger seat was a young very bored female manta ray wearing a yellow dress. The betta and Lynx climbed out of the sunroof and placed a machine on top. The betta checked a small handheld device then looked up at the stary sky. Nothing happened, the lynx looked to the betta who smiled hopefully "Wait for it". Still nothing happened, the lynx sighed "Coral, you can't keep doing this". Coral looked frustrated and went back down to the computer "The last 17 occurrences have been predictable to the second" "Coral, you're an astrophysicist, not some storm chaser" "I'm telling you, there's a connection between these atmospheric disturbances and my research. Ellidy, I wouldn't have asked you to fly out here if I wasn't absolutely sure". She searched through the computer but found nothing when "Aunt Coral, I think you'll want to see this" the manta ray said. Coral moved to the front of the van, and they saw strangely coloured shapes of the manta ray took out a camera finally having something interesting to do. Suddenly a large flashing ball of energy with blue rings moving around it appeared in front of the van. The ball creates a cloud of dust blinding the van. It tries to stop but the ball disappears and the van hits something where it was. The van spins to a stop and everyone rushes out wondering what happened. Coral turned on a torch and saw a body on the ground "Oh, no. Pearly, get the first aid kit". The manta ray ran back into the van as Coral and Ellidy kneeled down next to the body Are you okay?". He didn't respond, Coral turned the body over revealing it to be a male shark. Coral however was surprised to see that there wasn't a scratch on him. He looked completely fine. She then looked up confused "Where did he come from?".
Thousands of years ago a small peaceful village resided in the snowy mountains "Once, mobius accepted a simple truth, that they were not alone in this universe. Some worlds man believed to be home to their gods. Others, they knew to fear". At a mountain near the village a large flash of light appeared and out came an army of creatures made out of rock with ripples of lava on the surface of their bodies. "From the realm of heat and darkness came the Rock Giants". The lead Giant held a lantern with an orange flame inside. The flame grew into a blazing inferno which headed towards the city burning it to the ground and killing all the fleeing residents. "Threatening to plunge the mortal world into a living hell. But Mobius would not face this threat alone". As the Rock Giant army charged a massive ball of energy appeared in front of them. From the ball came a male mantis shrimp holding a gauntlet in the shape of a golden claw in one hand and a staff in the other. Behind him a massive army appeared. The shrimp and the lead Rock Giant stared each other down before a battle ensued. The mantis looked to be very powerful, both his spear and claw fired beams which destroyed any Rock Giants it hit "Our armies drove the Rock Giants back into the heart of their own world. The cost was great". Inside a large volcanic castle, the Rock Giant leader laid down on his back with the Mantis, now missing his right eye had his spear at the Giants throat "In the end their King fell. And the source of their power, the Flame of Judgement was taken from them". One of the Mantis' warriors took the lantern with the flame inside. "With the war over, we withdrew from the other worlds and returned home to the Realm Eternal. The Lost Hex". In outer space inside a massive cloud was a small planet which was almost entirely a beautiful golden city built into the mountains of the planet "Here we remain as a beacon of hope, shining out across the stars. And though we have fallen into Mobius' myths and legends, it was the Lost Hex and it's warriors that brought peace to the Nine Zones".
Inside the Palace of Lost Hex, deep within a secured vault the Mantis shrimp, now wearing a patch over his right eye was telling this story to two boys. A shark and a green hedgehog with two large scars on his chest. The mantis led them both through the vault until reaching the Flame of Judgement "But the day will come when one of you will have to defend the peace". The shark stared at the flame amazed but the hedgehog was instead staring at the mantis "Do the Rock Giants still live?". The shark looked to him and grinned arrogantly "When I'm king, I'll hunt the monsters down and slay them all! Just as you did, Father" he looked to the Mantis. He looked to the two of them with a smile "A wise king never seeks out war". He studied them both with his piercing left eye "But he must always be ready for it". He walked past them. The two boys smirked to one another before following. They ran past a podium that held a curved purple sword with a black handle. The blade of the sword had a space in between the latter half. The two boys caught up with the Mantis and took his hands "I'm ready, Father" "So am I". The Mantis smiled affectionately "Only one of you can ascend to the throne. But both of you were born to be kings".
