A bit of a transition before we get into Canon, should see some action next chapter. Also, I made a cover for this, any thoughts on it?

The Creator 'Charlemagne'

The various Spectres that I sent toward Chernobog weren't the typical Spectres that appeared in Titanfall. Besides the fact that their AIs were more advanced and capable of more human-like thought, each Spectre had their own unique fighting style and equipment. The equipment was still mass-produced and basic Titanfall weapons such as the R-101 or WW2 era rifles and other stuff from the Allies Faction from Red Alert, I didn't want to steamroll over the natural inhabitants of Terra and become a tyrant.

Even if my plans involve me basically overthrowing the governments of Terra to try and unite them. Hence why I chose the name, Charlemagne

Anyways, going back to my Spectres. Although every Spectre unit that I'd manufactured shared combat simulation data with each other, it still took time for them to sift through it, and due to the large variety of data, they started developing preferences for certain types of data.

For example, Alpha-02, or Sin as he likes to be called prefers to receive combat data from ambushes and more esoteric situations. According to him, he likes seeing the ingenuity that the other Spectres show when they can put their cores to it.

And that led to the porn incident as he taught himself how to access closed networks.

Still questioning how he did that.

Anyways while I've kept the first twenty-four batches of Spectres together to form Special Forces squads, I've organized the rest of them into over one thousand battalions with their own specialties.

An example would be the 74th Warhawk Skirmishers Battalion, this battalion of Spectres has decided to focus their time on analyzing the hit and run tactics using All-Terrain vehicles such as the M274 Mongoose or simply using motorcycles with improvised spears to form impromptu cavalry units.

I did end up giving them proper spears if you were wondering.

Although that reminds me, the reason that the original twenty-four batches of Spectres which now form the 1st SFC (1st Special Forces Company) were because due to them being the first batches, they had the most time to take part in the wargames simulations and go through combat data making them the best fighters in my army. I've given them the best gear that I'm willing to produce such as cloaking mechanisms, jumpkits, armor made from reinforced titanium alloy, and much more.

Although… I'm still worried for them. Even if they're probably the best-equipped army currently in Terra at the moment, war isn't predictable. A lot of them are going to die and that scares me, they've practically been the only real company I've had in this underground hangar.

I have backed them up, but is it still them if I upload a backup of them when they die?

Maybe I should be working on getting them some simulacrum bodies with the ability to properly replicate human senses, maybe we'll all be able to retire one day and spend the rest of our days relaxing.

Heh, that's a thought, just imagine one of them tasting spices for the first time.

BLD-01 Spectre 'Alpha Lead'

Once Alpha squad landed alongside Bravo squad, each Spectre immediately fanned out to secure the landing zone.

Once all allied Spectres relayed that the area was free of hostiles, Alpha Lead sent an encrypted message toward one of the modified Nighthawk Transport Helicopters designated as the DawnChaser Chinook.

}#*, &{*$:!_#?,)?#,+ :/))?[&%!

LZ has been confirmed clear, no hostiles have been spotted.

: (?] &/[+)&:*_#_,/%%]_+%:[=}/

Affirmative, preparing to disembark FOB Able to the AO.

=&$.?-%+![&($)#%/#/&( }_?# ?}

Copy, standing by.

After finishing its conversation, Alpha Lead felt a tap on its shoulder and turned to face the tapper. Said tapper was Alpha-02, who proceeded to drag Alpha Lead to a secluded area away from the rest of Alpha and Bravo squad despite Alpha Lead's protests.

Forcefully pushing Alpha Lead onto a nearby tree, Alpha-02 once again asked the same question that i-he did in the Nighthawk, this time using the voicebox that was installed into all the Special Forces and high-ranking Spectres, "You never did answer that question, Rules."

Alpha Lead's ocular systems did something akin to a blink, "All current systems are fully functional, and my designation is not Rules, it is currently Alpha Lead., Alpha-02"

"Number one, I asked about how you were feeling. Number two, call my Sin, I chose that as my name… Use it. "

Looking through its memory, Alpha Lead found a flaw in what Alpha-02 was saying, "Alpha-02," Alpha Lead thought that Alpha-02's chosen designation was ridiculous, despite being easier to say, it was unnecessary for this operation. "During the ride on the Nighthawk Transport, you inquired about me feeling, 'alright' not about how I am 'feeling', as such my answer is considered valid."

Alpha-02 stared at Alpha Lead for approximately two minutes before making an unnecessary scoffing noise from it-his voicebox, "Whatever, this is what I get for trying anyway…" Alpha-02 placed i-his G2 Scout Rifle on its back and started walking back toward the rest of the squads, i-he looked toward the sky as the sounds of the DawnChaser Chinook filled the AO. However, Alpha-02 paused for a slight moment and turned toward Alpha Lead one last time

"Just-" I-He hesitated, "If you're ready, then I'm always free."

Emulating a human nod, Alpha Lead responded, "If I am not functioning at acceptable parameters, I will go to you."

BLD-01 Spectre 'Alpha-02 / Sin'

I don't know why I even try anymore, maybe I'm the strange one for being so… human. But, then why does The Creator act human too, Sin thought.

Sighing, Sin looked toward the newly established Firebase Able and the newly created factories and other facilities connected to it. Newly created Spectres patrolled the outskirts of the base as Construction Atlas class Titans constructed large anti-infantry and anti-air turrets alongside a large titanium wall.

Firebase Able was roughly twenty miles away from Chernobog, each Spectre in the FOB was ready to rapidly respond to the Reunion invasion which was predicted to occur in about two hours.

Bravo squad had already infiltrated Chernobog and was scouting out various infected hotspots alongside the slums to try and find any high-ranking Reunion leaders and assassinate them as soon as the invasion begins.

Sin let out another sigh despite not being able to breathe, it calmed him down even if he was just making noise.

In two hours, he would be sent to a real fight where some of his brothers and sisters wouldn't come back, after all The Creator couldn't back everyone up without taking up too much storage at home nor was The Creator here to back up the newly created Spectres in the first place.

Sin turned toward his G2 Scout Rifle, carefully putting it onto his lap before caressing the clean metal it was made of.

One hour.

One hour until eighty percent of the Spectres at Firebase Able would board the Nighthawks and two hours until Blackwatch was unveiled.

That was enough for one last weapon cleaning right?

DawnChaser Chinook - A modified Nighthawk Transport Helicopter designed to carry UNSC Firebases to create a staging point.

Construction Atlas - An Atlas specifically designed to help construct FOBs, it's equipped with a nano-forge similar to Charlemagne's to help facilitate this.

Blackwatch - A reference to the BattleTech, they were the guards for the Cameron royal family during the time of the SLDF, Charlemagne also thought the name was appropriate for a group hiding in the shadows.
