Title: In Every Moment, A Choice Exists

Author: Wereleopard58

Rating: T/Teen and up audiences

Show: Teen Wolf/The Originals/Legacies

Pairing: Derek/Stiles, Geralt/Jaskier, Slash,

Warning: For all of Teen Wolf, The Originals and Legacies. It's somewhat AU, especially from TO and Legacies. Everybody lives (yes, I see the 9th Doctor every time)

Summary: The trip to New Orleans is just for fun. Scott has to get a treaty with Niklaus Mikaelson. Stiles has to let others outside his pack know he is part royal Fae. His intention was to leave Scott and his treaty alone, but things didn't go according to plan.

A/N Queen Titania is a mixture of characters and ideas. A storyline in TO will be Fae magic instead of what happens. Now I have anti-Scott as I don't like the character, and this is how I see him. I have no idea if I will ever do a great friend Scott. We'll see.

"Scott, when you go to New Orleans, there is something important for you to do."

"No problem. What is it?"

"I have called ahead, and you have a meeting with Niklaus Mikaelson. Having a treaty with his family will show everyone how powerful we are."

"I'm a true alpha; he'd been honoured to have a treaty with me."

"Scott, listen to me–."" Don't worry about it, Dr Deaton. I've got it handled."

"So am I. Let's go." He called out to the others and took hold of Allison's hand.

"I'll be there, and I'll do what I can," Chris offered.

"So will your sister and father."

"Oh, that makes things so much better." He knew with his family being surrounded by supernatural and magic users, it would be a nightmare.

"I wish you and dad could come," Stiles leaned over and kissed Derek.

"Your dad has to work. You all need to have fun. If Noah needs more than Jordan, I'm here. If any of you get into trouble, we'll know."

"We would not," Stiles exaggerated his gasp of shock.

"It's you three," Derek didn't think he needed to say anymore.

"I need to thank grandma for that link we have. I am glad it means we know we can trust each other completely." He stopped and looked at Jackson, who smirked in return. "I never thought I say that about you, Jacks."

"I didn't think I'd end up here either. There was no way I was going to follow Scott. He doesn't even want to learn about what he was and the world he now lives in." Jackson looked at the others, Derek, Stiles, Lydia and Danny. There was also Noah and Jordan. "We are the Hale Pack."

"Hell yes," Danny yelled out.

Lydia looked at Stiles and smiled. Once he'd gotten over his crush and fell head over heels in love with their broody alpha, they became close friends. Stiles' best buddie turned out to be Jackson. Who knew that would happen? After knowing what Gerard did to Stiles, Erica and Boyd, she was horrified and wanted nothing to do with them. The only good thing was it had released Stiles' Fae side. She knew that the only reason the three werewolves went with Scott was because he left them alone.

Derek may not have been great at the start. It turned out all he needed was support, and he had that now with them.

Even though he'd been tortured, Stiles still helped her with Jackson, and their genuine love was that of friendship. But paralysing and trying to use Derek against his will made her sick to her stomach. Lydia was glad Noah and Jordan had turned up. Who knows what would have happened. If the plan with changing his medication with a unique blend and magic by Deaton was meant to cure Gerard, well, it worked. Kate was also alive, and Lydia wanted to hurt her so much after what she had done to a still-grieving teenage Derek.

Allison had asked her to join them, but seeing what the Argents really were made meant that she wanted to be as far away from them as possible. Allison 'looked' devastated, but they were a family of murders and liars. Lydia could never trust anyone in the McCall Pack.

The Hale Pack had worked hard to learn to trust each other. They had spent time in a dimensional hole in the Fae realm. It was a place where time went more slowly. They'd had a lot longer to learn to trust each other than people thought.

She watched as Stiles walked over to the window to stare out. Lydia went to stand by him. "Are you okay?"

"Just a lot going on in my head."

"So tell me, it might help."

"My mom wanted to go to New Orleans." He sighed. "I wish she'd been able to teach me all about Fae magic."

"She bound your magic to protect you."

"I know she did. It proved to be the right thing to do after she died. Whoever it was, I hope they suffer, but to make it look like a human mental illness was incredibly smart."

"We'll buy her something special, and you can keep it next to her photo."

"Thanks, Lydia that sounds great."

"But–." She smirked at him.

"But?" Stiles knew he was going to regret asking this.

"Can you manage to be away from your smoking hot boyfriend?"

"Hey, I feel like I'm being objectified," Derek called out from behind them.

"Well, she's not wrong," Jackson replied and winked at him, making Derek laugh.

''No, she is not," Danny added.

"We're all hot, including Noah," Lydia grinned as she sat on the sofa between Jackson and Danny.

"Please don't use the word hot and my dad in the same sentence," Stiles gagged and reached for his cell as soon as it beeped. "Niklaus Mikaelson."

"One of the Originals," Derek answered. "What about him?"

"Scott sent me a text saying we might as well not go as he is getting a treaty with him and his family."

"An original what?" Lydia asked.

"They're the original vampires. Niklaus is a vampire-werewolf hybrid. They're ancient and powerful." Derek explained.

"Should we try to get a treaty?" Danny looked at the others.

"No, knowing Scott, he's going to make mistakes. Just be respectful. We definitely don't want any of them as enemies. We're still building the pack house and working on treaties around here. Treaties should be a sign of respect. That's what I believe. Hopefully, in the future, that can happen." Derek wanted to grow the Hale Pack slowly. He wanted to work with others and earn their respect. He was tired of people lying to force others to join out of fear. Things like that would never last.

"Scott is an idiot for telling us, though," Lydia laughed.

"Scott is just an idiot," Jackson couldn't help but add.

Stiles would've once stood up for his friend, but Scott showed him that they really never were. Stiles had been a temporary placement until he found someone better.

"Let's not say anything. If we just ignore it, Scott might continue to tell us things to prove he's better than us," Stiles went and joined Derek.

"It didn't take much to make him arrogant, did it?" Danny got on with most people, but Scott McCall's change happened so quickly. He acted as if he was the best thing ever, and no one knew why the change. There was a rumour of drug use.

"Enough of him. Derek, honey." Stiles batted his eyelashes.

"What?"

"I'm hungry."

"Derek, honey." The others all called out.

"I'll go and make something." He loved to take care of his pack, and cooking was one of the ways he loved to show it.

"If you told me before all of this that Derek Hale was a god in the kitchen, I would never have believed you." Lydia loved his food.

"We are so lucky he's our alpha. We always get well-fed." Danny rubbed his hands together, just thinking about all that fantastic food.

New Orleans

Stiles had needed some fresh air and time to be alone. Scott had sent text after text. Then at the hotel, he would not shut up. He had to get out of there; otherwise, the McCall Pack would find out about his Fae heritage, and the sucking up would begin.

He was so glad Derek wasn't here because Scott had brought Gerard and Kate. That was one sick family. Stiles had no idea what Scott was thinking. It was all about Allison.

"Leave me alone." A feminine voice called out in fear.

Stiles was already running towards her. He wasn't going to leave without trying to help. He really hoped she needed help.

"Get away from her you…" Jackson would have a good laugh at him quoting or almost quoting Ripley. "Leave her alone."

"Or what, are you going to make us." One of the men strutted towards him.

Stiles shook his head in disbelief and held out his hands. His eyes glowed, and the two men hit the wall hard and collapsed to the ground unconscious.

"Thank you…."

He helped her up and placed one of her arms over his shoulder and an arm around her waist.

"Just point me in the right direction."

It took a little time, but they finally made it to her home. Well, Stiles guessed it was. He reached up and knocked on the door.

"Hope." The man rushed to her side as soon as he had opened it.

"He saved me. They tried to release the magic."

"Well, I suppose I should thank you for saving my daughter. I'm Klaus Mikaelson."

"Of course you are," Stiles muttered. He's planned to avoid Scott's treaty, so he would be the first person he met.

"Excuse me?"

"I'm sorry, I will tell you, but we need to get her inside." Stiles paused.

Elijah joined them and watched as this stranger stared into space.

"Who is this?"

"No idea."

Stiles shook his head and blinked. "Sorry about that"

"Come in, but If you hurt my daughter–."

"You'll make me wish I died. The pain will be like nothing I've ever felt before. The horror you will show me with being nothing I can imagine. Sorry, it's not my first time being threatened."

Klaus looked at him and laughed. "I like you. Let's hope it stays that way."

Stiles followed as they settled Hope into her bed.

"What is your name?" She asked.

"Stiles, Stiles Stilinski."

"Your name is Stiles?" Klaus asked.

"It's a nickname. No one could pronounce my actual name."

"Really?" Elijah walked over to him.

"It's ten letters, and only three are vowels, and no, I'm not going to say it."

"So why are you here?" Klaus watched him.

"I'm from Beacon Hills. I'm a part of the Hale Pack. I heard your name from Scott McCall."

"The alpha who wants a treaty with us? So you're not a part of his pack?"

"No, no, I'm not."

"Would you pack like a treaty as a thank you? You did save my daughter."

"I appreciate it, but no, thank you. Derek, our alpha, doesn't like treaties when one owes the other. He wants it to be out of respect."

"He's been betrayed a lot, hasn't he, your alpha? Oh, l'm Elijah. I'm Klaus' brother."

"He has, and it's nice to meet you."

"I also think Derek doesn't think he's worthy, but he is. He's been through a lot but will still go and help when he can."

"What about this treaty with McCall?" Klaus walked back to the lounge and sat down on one couch.

Hope had fallen asleep, and so they left her alone. Stiles and Elijah followed him

"What about it?"

"Would you like me to turn it down?"

"It's up to you. You do what's best for your family. Listen to him and decide."

"You are very odd, Stiles," Elijah straightened his suit jacket.

"So I've been told."

"Allow me to drive you to your hotel."

"You drive? I mean, Derek does, so why not."

Elijah laughed. "I enjoy it. I find it relaxing."

It didn't take long before they were at their destination. The others were going to kill him.

"Thank you."

"Stiles, can we please exchange numbers. Your alpha sounds honourable, and I would like to be able to reach you if we decide a treaty is something we want."

"Of course, please let me know how Hope is."

"l will, and thank you for saving her. Not many people here would do that."

"I had to."

The two exchanged numbers, and the vampire watched as Stiles walked into the building.

The magic helping Hope was growing weaker. They needed to find something else to help.

Scott McCall should be here soon, they weren't really in the mood, but they would listen. After meeting Stiles, he did a little more research. He had some already after Dr Deaton called. But now he knew who the Argents were and what Kate did to Derek.

"Are we ready, brother?" Elijah inquired.

"I am. Let's see what this alpha has to say."

Scott and the rest of his pack sat in front of two men. He couldn't see why Deaton wanted this. They didn't look like they were anything special.

"So, Mr McCall–." Klaus started.

"Alpha McCall. I'm a true alpha. I'm rare."

Klaus and Elijah looked at each other and laughed.

"Are you really? "Elijah asks as he pulls at the cuffs of his shirt.

Scott frowned. Were they laughing at him? Deaton wanted them. He would get them to win him

"Yes, I am."

Chris shook his head. Their alpha had no idea who these men were. "Scott."

"I am here to give you some information about your enemies. It proves I am worthy, and a treaty would be good for us. You'll also be able to destroy the Hale Pack. Their alpha isn't here and is hiding from you." His tone was bored. He really didn't want to be here. He and Allison could be out on a date.

The smiles fell from the brothers' faces. Klaus was angry. This boy thought he could play him.

"You know that I am a vampire," Klaus turned to look at the Argents, "and a werewolf?"

"I know."

"You know that I can hear heartbeats and know when people lie like you did. I don't like being treated like a fool." Klaus stood, his voice cold, "from a child who thinks they're more special than they are."

"I'm sorry, I didn't," Scott stuttered. Everything had changed in an instant. He was now terrified of these men.

"Should just pull your tongue from your mouth? I am sure many people will be relieved not to hear you brag ever again. But before I decide if I'm going to do that, let me explain a few things."

Elijah could see that some of them were about to argue. "I wouldn't interrupt my brother. He might just decide to pull you your hearts out, and, of course, I would aid him."

"Thank you, Elijah. Actually, leave. Do your research and find out all the things I have done. You Argent's make think you are scary, but you are just children trying to play at being terrifying. I think I'll need to develop something special for all of you. Go. "Klaus waits until they reach the door. "Oh, enjoy your stay and sleep well." He smiles brightly at them.

The brothers waited until they knew that the McCall Pack had left.

"I think Stiles knew that McCall would shoot himself in the foot." Elijah couldn't believe the arrogance of that boy.

"To a point, I agree, was careful what he said. I do like him."

The two men froze as a scream echoed around the house.

It was Hope.
