Alright, people, I have good news! I recently finished my last exam for the year! So as a Christmas celebration(or just a holiday thing if you don't celebrate that) I plan to update 7 of my stories with at least two chapters each this month. It totally has nothing to do with the fact my family decided not to gather for the holidays this year so I'm stuck in by my lonesome as all my friends managed to head out to spend the holidays with family. No, but seriously, to stop me from going stir crazy, I'm going to spend less time playing Genshin and Brawl stars and try to work as my stories.
Anywho, as stated in the last chapter, the story will pick up where the first chapter left off and I'll remain with this thing where one chapter is in the present and the other is in the past as I didn't want to start at that point but I also didn't want to cram everything into flashback sections of chapters as that breaks the tone of the story. Anyway, this chapter will have them arrive in Japan and meet with their clients and learn more about who they are and what they want to accomplish as you have to admit, wanting to kill All Might is super broad, I wouldn't be surprised if 80% of villains have that desire in varying levels of want.
Chapter 3: Welcome to Japan
(Haruun Kal, Japan)
"So this is the apartment we're be staying in?" Izuku asked as the six teens entered their upmarket, stylish apartment. They had only been in the country for a few hours, having taken the train straight from Tokyo to their destination in Ishikawa prefecture. It was a relatively small city but it like Musutafu, it was the home of a top-ranking hero school, Shiketsu high, on the other side of town which of course meant that while relatively small, it was a quite wealthy place due to all the business and safety from how many pros could be throughout the day.
Midoriya wasn't sure of it but he had reason to suspect that one or two people living in this very building was a pro which would you think would dissuade people like them but it only made it more appealing as for one, it wasn't as if they were dumb enough to have anything incriminating on them when they arrive, nor do they plan to ever bring such home but also few pros would be alert enough to notice anything odd about their neighbors as who would suspect them of anything, to begin within such an upscale place such as Coruscant peaks?
"Yeah, Shiketsu isn't that far from here." Julius, the smooth talker of the group replied as he set his bags down near the couch. Despite the fact they were the first tenants of the room, it was already furnished with premium furniture, befitting of whatever price tag they came with. It also seemed like blue, black and white was the color of the day when they decorated this place, though the apartment itself was huge was the living room alone was the size of Midoriya's old apartment. Along with that, there was a combo kitchen/dining area. Two bathrooms, three spacious bedrooms, a walk-in closet, study, and all-around great views of the city and coastline from one of the many windows.
"Damn, this is a pretty great place, I can't wait to throw some parties here." Emily said as she tossed her stuff to the side and jumped onto the black leather couch, grabbing the remote to check if there was anything good to watch.
"So long as you don't wreck the place, you can do whatever." Abraham, the ever calm and quiet one, said as he took his stuff down the hall and started looking for a room he could place them in.
"But is here a good spot? All Might is on the other side of the country." Sienna asked as that had been something she had been worried about. Sure, the man often traveled by his agency was in Tokyo and he was a teacher at UA. It would be suspicious if they all had to regularly take trains to get to their clients and back, someone was bound to notice that.
"It'll do. Honey Lakes has a long spading friendship with Shiketsu and the two regularly host students from the other." Julius started as he sat down next to Emily and took out his phone to check on something. "Plus, the distance thing will work for us as it'll be impossible for anyone to suspect us of any involvement in our future plans and our client has a way for us to travel without detection." Julius added in as he had been informed via about the transport thing not being an issue, but he hadn't been told what that solution was yet.
"Begs the question," Izuku started as he walked into the kitchen area and saw that they didn't even have glasses to pour water from the tap into. That sucked. "What are our future plans, Julius?"
"First things first, we unpack our stuff into the rooms. There are 3 of them so that means two share one. I'm already sharing with Abraham since we both enjoy literature and get along just fine." Julius started as he gestured towards Abraham down the hall. "Emily and Sienna will share the other one you both can tolerate the other and share some interests." He continued as he pointed towards the two girls, who despite having very different personalities and tastes, got along just fine and often shared accommodations whenever they had these away missions.
"That means me and Izuku will get the last one." Beatrice figured as they were the last two unmentioned. She was the last one to walk in and had been the one to close the door behind them. Can't have someone walking by hearing them, now can they.
"Yup, I don't care if the two of you haven't done the dirty deed yet, I don't want to have to worry about you two breaking the bed while I'm trying to sleep." Julius said with a smirk on his face as the couple, despite being seasoned villains and killers, blushed like the teenagers they were.
"Hey!" Izuku yelled back as he was so red in the cheeks that he resembled a strawberry with those freckles.
"Agreed. I like to sleep at night, thank you very much." Seeing this as a chance to have some fun, Sienna added her two cents as she laughed at the two of them.
"We haven't even gotten that far in our relationship yet, what the hell?" Beatrice yelled back as she covered her face with her hands. They had only been dating a few months and had gone on some very successful dates. She wasn't ready for them to take that step yet!
"Before that, Izuku." Julius decided to throw them a bone as he turned the conversation back towards serious matters. "You and I will go out to do some shopping, the fridge in the kitchen is empty and I'm getting hungry. Emily and Beatrice can swing by Shiketsu and pick up our uniforms and other school material." He ordered as he then looked towards Abraham who was returning from placing his things in the room he picked for him and Julius to share. "Abraham, you're in charge of cooking since you're the best outta all of us."
"Got it." Abraham nodded his head as he took hold of the headphones that were almost always around his neck and put them over his ears so that he could listen to some music from his phone.
"I'll be ready to go in 30." Izuku huffed as he picked up his things and along with Beatrice, went to claim one of the rooms as their one for the foreseeable future.
"I'll just wander around, get the layout of the place." Sienna said as it seemed she wouldn't have any task for the day. Still, one could learn a lot about the area but just wandering about, it wasn't like she had much to fear from low-level thugs or so-called 'villains'. If anything, she hoped they'll start something as it would give her the chance to see what Japanese heroes were capable of.
"Our gear is coming in 2 days. We'll meet with the clients then. Sound good?" Julius asked them all as for security reasons, they didn't arrive with their gear which would be shipped over via another carrier 48 hours after they arrived to throw off any hint of them being connected to it if by some chance customs finds their stuff. Hell, they weren't even labeled to be sent to their area but thanks to some inside people and creative labeling, they should find their stuff in a warehouse on the outskirts of town with no trail leading to it or them to follow.
(Later – Shiketsu High)
"It's been some time since students from Honey Lakes chose to spend some time here. I hope you're handling things alright." The class representative for the 2nd year students of Shiketsu High, Nagamasa Mora said to the two girls as he gave them a small tour of the school grounds. Even though it was still school hours and most of the students were in class, he had been summoned by the principal to give their guests a little show since they came to collect their uniforms and anything else they'll need for when they begin classes in two days.
"We're doing such fine. Aside from the language barrier, we have had no big issues." Emily replied, unlike before when it was just had the six of them in the apartment, they weren't speaking English. She along with Beatrice was now speaking Japanese and with her, it was clear that it wasn't her mother tongue going by the accent that was clear for all to hear. Still, she knew enough about the language to communicate without issue so that was enough.
"And I understand that you denied residence in the dorms." Mora asked as he watched the two of them out the corner of his hairy vision. To be frank, he was confused as to why they were only arriving now when the school year had begun some weeks back. To that end, he had taken the opportunity given to him to observe the two of them and from what he could tell, there was nothing out of the ordinary. Beatrice was a short girl but from the black long-sleeved shirt and white knee-length shorts she was wearing, it could see that she was quite fit yet she still retained soft-looking feminine curves. She had large dark circles around her green eyes which resembled a large domino mask and also had panda-like ears and nose, which he supposed was a given seeing how she said her quirk was a passive panda mutation.
Like most of the students at the school, she processed a light skin complexion which was one of the common traits of those of Asian descent. She also had red, well-kept odango bun styles hair which she appears to have modified from the norm by styling the left one to be slightly but notably larger than the right one. He figured that it looked cute but he could already see a certain classmate of his having a problem with it. Another odd thing about her is her abnormally large bust size, he was not an expert on the subject but for her girl her size, she had a larger than normal bust, even larger than Utsushimi.
On the other side of things, there was Emily. The girl just screamed excitement and energy, again, much like his classmate Utsushimi but she dialed up a notch. Unlike her friend, she was of Canadian(French-Canadian) descent and had made that known when she introduced herself. Emily's wide, fun-filled grey eyes just seemed to always be searching for the next adventure, that along with her red hair which had been done up into shoulder-length pigtails gave off the impression of a child, even if he knew she was his age. Emily also had two yellow ear piercings on her right ear and three green ones on her right one. In terms of clothing, she wore a short-sleeved, white shirt with black lines going across horizontally across it under pink and white jumpsuit overalls which instead of full pants, had thigh-length shorts and blue and red sneakers.
"Yeah, we already had something set up and thought it'll be better to use that." Emily said to him as she bounced along with the two, seemingly happy to be there as they walked past the closed doors of many classrooms. They didn't see it but they could hear the activity behind those closed doors.
"There's no trouble in that. We all have our preferences." Mora responded as it didn't give them any issue for them to now stay on the campus, it actually saved them some work as their dorms already had students living there and they would have had to be separated to make sure they all got a bed since many students bunked with another.
"I do have a question, about the uniform," Beatrice started as her eyes traveled towards the hat sitting on the hairy boy's head.
"Yes, all students must wear the cap. It isn't just those in the hero course." Mora answered the question before she could ask it as that was a common question students had coming in as most only thought it was the hero course who wore it or it was only worn along with the hero course's costume because the students thought it looked cool.
"Dang it, I seriously don't have hat-hai." Beatrice said as she felt up her two odango buns and couldn't see how she'll fit a fit one on her head with her hairstyle as it was. Did she have to change styles?
"You can speak with the other students about that. Many have the same challenge but have picked up tricks to help with that." Mora said as he felt for her on that one. When he first came to the school, he had to really struggle to keep his hat on whenever he used his quirk, especially since he had much more hair than the average person which made it hard for his hat to stay in place if he wasn't paying attention.
They continued onward for a while, exchanging information about one another as they spoke about how they'll be expected to act while on campus. It was a bummer for Beatrice to find out that the school forbade romantic relationships between students, to which she asked if they allowed them if the two students involved were in one prior to enrolling in. Mora said he'll speak with a teacher about it as he didn't know if that was allowed under that exception, to which she thanked him.
Soon they reached the school store which managed all the school equipment from sporting gear to uniforms, as Honey lakes already paid for all their uniforms, the two of them were able to pick out three uniforms for each of them along with two pairs of gym clothing for when they had PE. It was weird for Mora as he admitted for them to not be in the hero course but the two of them said that none of them had an interest in becoming a pro, which wasn't a lie as Izuku and Sienna would be taking the business course while the rest of them were taking the general studies course.
Afterward, the two decided to leave rather than hang back and speak with Mora's friend, saying they needed to get their uniforms to their friends as soon as possible. He said he understood and gave them a farewell before he walked back into the school grounds.
"So, what do you think?" Beatrice asked as the two girls stood in front of the school, having separated from their tour guide.
"This will definitely be a new challenge for us. We have never been posted this close to heroes, never mind a hero school." Emily answered as the two girls, with their bags in hand, turned around and started to walk away.
"Well it will make things interesting, that's for sure. We get to watch the future generation of heroes as they train and how they act in a safe school environment." Beatrice said with a smirk that spoke of her own interior motives.
"You're just saying that since it means we get to watch out enemies without them even realizing it." Emily laughed as she replied in French to keep any would-be listeners from knowing what they were really talking about.
"That to." Beatrice responded in kind, making it seem like they were just a couple of foreigners who felt more comfortable speaking their native tongue.
(Meanwhile – Julius and Izuku)
"So, how's it feel to be back in Japan?" Julius asked as the two guys walked along with a store, picking anything and everything they needed or wanted and tossing it into the trolley Izuku was pushing. Like the girls, the two boys were dressed casually with Julius wearing a white dress shirt along with blue slacks and brown shoes, he liked the simple look and it did go with his black hair and eyes. Izuku also wore simple clothing in the form of a green shirt which had the words 'This is a T-shirt' written on it in Italian along with a white jacket and dark blue jeans, his red kicks his first choice of footwear. Izuku also had his keychain with him which he carried just about everywhere he went.
"I have no major attachments in this country, so I feel nothing out of the ordinary." Izuku responded as they passed through the dairy section and picked up some milk and butter.
"Jeez man, you don't need to act like a robot." Julius shot back as they all figured that their pasts were rough, it was why they chose their paths but besides Sienna, Izuku was the tightest lipped about his.
"Sorry, I have a lot of bad memories here." Izuku sighed as he responded, his shoulders loosening as he did so. He still wasn't that good at letting people in but he was trying.
"Don't we all have some baggage we'll like to keep in our past, still, there have to be some good ones." Julius tried to get things back on track as he took some cheese and placed it into the slowly filling trolley. It wasn't as if money was an issue for them, they were all paid a portion of the bounty/reward whatever you wanted to call it with each successful job so while they weren't rolling in cash, they certainly had enough to spoil themselves every now and then.
"My life before this wasn't a complete nightmare you know, there was some sunshine." Izuku conceded as though he had never been to this part of Japan, he did have some good memories growing up, even if they were mostly with his mother and her alone.
"But I wouldn't know since you don't talk about your past." Julius pointed out that he and Sienna never said a thing during any of their group discussions, often changing the subject or switching focus from them to someone else.
"Neither do the rest of you. We don't know much about each other's lives before we chose to take up the headmaster on her offer and join the school." Izuku countered as they may have had such talks but they never reveal much or go into detail, sure they talked about their pasts but it was like listening to one of those classified CIA reports, most of the actual report had been redacted for security reasons. Same with them, they were taught to not talk about their pasts to make sure others didn't learn too much about them.
"But Beatrice knows." Julius stated as the two continued to pick all the food and other supplies they'll need to live in their apartment.
"Of course she does, I also know her story but don't expect me to talk about it." Izuku didn't even bother to deny it.
"Fair enough, we did vow to leave the past in the past. Still, how do you think things will fare for us here?" Julius rose his hands in defeat as he figured that there was no way either of them would reveal what they knew about the other.
"Our task is no easy feat. But," Seeing the conversation topic was over, Izuku decided to switch things up by discussing the real reason they were present, though he was careful to be as vague as possible since they were in public.
"But?" Julius probed as he may have been the older of the two but he knew that the kid was smarter than him and had a skill for reading situations and people like books.
"There is no way the headmaster would have allowed us to come if she didn't think we were capable." Izuku answered as though their Principal and true master was many things, arrogant and short-sighted weren't among them. She could back up everything she said she could do and would never just sacrifice students, not without telling them and asking for volunteers to prevent anybody from feeling 'betrayed' when they realize, they were sent to die or be captured by the police and heroes. "She isn't the type to send people at problems she knows they can't solve."
"Still, I find myself worried that we may be in over our heads." Julius said as he knew where his teammate was coming from but taking on the number one hero in the world? Plus, any backup he could bring to the fight? This was something that the 4th years back at HIVE should be doing, not them.
"We'll pull through. We always do. Still, we should take this time to learn as much as we can." Izuku reassured him with a smile, showing off that optimism that made him famous as the 'cinnamon roll' of Honey lakes. Julius couldn't help it, he chuckled at that as he still couldn't believe that this guy, with a face that screamed of naive youth, has was a trained, cold-hearted killer but then again, most people just thought he was an Italian pretty boy so looks could very much be deceiving.
"Hence why you asked the headmaster to pull some strings to get us VIP tickets to the Sports festival in three days." Julius guessed right as they headed towards the check-out. Having already picked everything they'll need from milk to plates.
"If they're going to advertise themselves, then it would be stupid not to attend." Izuku said as they reached the check out where he pulled out his wallet to pay.
"UA is the best hero school in Japan, but there might be some people there we can swing to our side." Julius replied as the store clerk helping them gave them a look as he heard them talk, wondering what they were talking about.
"Unlikely among the hero course, they're too full of it to even consider ever-changing schools. The business and support on the other hand? That may prove to be a good avenue." Izuku effortlessly replied, having noted that the clerk was watching them and changing his sentence build before he said it so that it would come off as nothing more than students looking to poach another school's best. Which wasn't wrong, only they had no intention of bringing them over to Shiketsu.
"That might prove to be quite the boon for our school," Julius smiled as Izuku handed the clerk his credit card which he quickly wiped before handing them a small terminal to input his password. "Well, we gotta get back to the apartment. Knowing Emily, she's probably low on energy and bumming everyone out." He finished as they figured that the girls had made it back and Emily would be running about asking any of them for sweets. Honestly, even if you took her quirk into account, they had no idea where that girl packed all that food.
"Yeah, she needs her gingerbread men." Izuku said as he hefted up the plastic bag which had the before-mentioned sweets in it.
(Two Days Later – Kurogiri's Bar)
"When did Sensei say they'll get here?" Tomura asked his faithful aide and partner, Kurogiri. The two of them were like normal, in the shadowy man's bar as they waited for that hired help that sensei said he had brought in.
"They should be here momentarily." Kurogiri answered him as he cleaned a glass, keeping calm and collected, unlike his partner who was visibly annoyed by the events of late.
"I still can't believe that he thinks I need this." Tomura said to himself as he scratched at his neck, still covered in bandages underneath his clothing from the injuries he suffered when they struck the USJ. They weren't only from that damned gun trotting hero, Snipe but also from the attacks of some of those brats.
"Shigaraki, you must remember that while we only used grunts and low-level criminals, the fact of the matter is that we don't have access to anything of a superior quality outside the Nomus." Kurogiri calmly but firmly reminded him as though the news played up their attack, they both knew that they didn't achieve a single one of their objectives and ended up being forced to run with their tails between their legs. It was more vexing that Kurogiri cared to admit.
"We still managed to take out those two students, didn't we?" Tomura reminded him as he managed to get his hands on two of the students, one of which with the vine-like hair and some purpled ball midget.
"Yes, but not kill, from what we could find out, both recovered just fine if with some scars from the attack. You yourself got blasted by that one boy, I believe the redhead called him Bakugo." Kurogiri reminded him as they had kept their ears to the ground and picked up chatter about the fact there were no serious injuries or deaths on the hero's side. "The point is that we need members, skilled members, and sensei said that these people are some of the best money can buy." He finished as he agreed with AFO, they were in dire need of skilled villains, people who could take the initiative, bring the fight to their enemies. Not some back-alley thugs.
"I hate mercenaries. They'll loyal only as long as they can drain you of your gold." Tomura muttered to himself. He was about to continue with his game when he heard Kurogiri's phone ring, the shadowy bar-tender/villains reached for his pocket and took out the burner phone, answering it without even checking the caller ID.
"Yes?...Yes, master, Tomura is right here…..I see, I'll keep that in mind….Yes, I'll open the portal right away." Kurogiri spoke on the phone, while Tomura didn't hear who was on the other side-he knew of a few select people who had Kurogiri's current number and him using the word 'master' was another dead giveaway. The bartender waited for the call to end before he put his phone and away and stretched out one of his arms towards the empty space between the bar table and the vacant booths. Using his quirk, he opened up a black and purplish portal, letting their hired guns walk into the bar from where they had been told to wait.
It didn't take long for six figures to walk on through, looking around at the place as they keep their wits about them which to him, was a good thing as he had seen how most people reacted to his warp gates, even the thugs they picked up acted like they would die the first time around they used it but this group managed to keep composed. For Tomura, he could see why they needed the warp gate as they were decked out in what he assumed was their gear and if they tried to walk around, even at such a late hour as it was now, they would have stuck out like orcs in a village arena and no doubt would have brought heroes down on them.
"Hmm, I'll be honest. I thought we would be meeting in some abandoned warehouse, been a while since it was some bar." One of them, the tallest of the group said as she looked around the bar. Behind her, someone else spoke up.
"At least they aren't any dumb drunks, I hate dealing with that." The one in the weird-looking fox get-up said in response with a shoulder shrug.
"Who the hell are you?" Tomura rudely asked, having lost what little patience he had for them when they didn't even speak to them but rather acted like they were better.
"Forgive me for my manners, but let's just cut to the chase. We've hired guns, here to help dig your ass outta the grave you dug yourselves into." The short girl with brown hair replied to him, sounding as smug as a spoiled brat.
"What was that?" Tomura asked her as he glared at them from behind his hand mask, not that they seemed to care for it.
"We did our research before coming here, you attacked some 1st-year hero brats, with barely a week worth's of training, outnumbered them 8 to 1. And what did you accomplish?" She asked him, digging into that fresh wound as she didn't even give the two of them time to reply. "You put three kids in the hospital with injuries they recovered from in less than 2 days, lost over 99% of your number, including that genetically altered weapon of yours, and were forced to run away with your tail between your legs as soon as the teachers showed up. That doesn't really scream 'power' or 'fear us', it inspires cowardly, incompetence, sloppy and unprofessional." If Tomura wasn't impressed by the fact they knew about the Nomu, when all news outlets hadn't even mentioned it, he didn't let it show. Instead, he focused on his desire to turn this little shit into dust.
"Why you little-!" But before any violence could happen, one of them, the guy dressed in dark robes, stepped in.
"Please forgive my comrade, she is still learning to control herself in these kinds of situations." He said as he eyed the girl out of the corner of his eye, but she didn't seem to worry as she just gave him a peace sign in return. "But she is right, we are the aid that yo-our sensei hired to aid you in your fight." The cloaked one corrected himself, seems like sensei liked for all his underlings to refer to him with that.
"It is a pleasure to have you here, I hope that you are finding Japan to your liking." Kurogiri, seeing that this one was at least trying to keep things from going out of control, joined in as he greeted them.
"It's alright but we didn't come here to sightsee." The robbed man replied to them as the group spread themselves around the bar, with one of them taking a seat at the bar near Tomura and the other two taking seats in the corner booth.
"Quite right, Tomura." Their mystery employer spoke up from the television perched in the corner, grabbing all their attention as he turned his attention to Shigaraki. "I hope that these six will be of great use to you, they are some of the best villains out there so with their aid, the league can grow and mature into something amazing." The faceless voice said as he spoke to his young apprentice who merely bowed his head in respect to him.
"Yes sensei."
'It appears that he is loyal to this sensei, we can make use of that.' Midoriya thought to himself as he picked how different the man acted when he was with them and when she spoke with this 'sensei' figure. "Now I believe we should get introductions out of the way, yes? My call-sign is Taskmaster." He introduced himself as two league members turned to appraise him. This 'Taskmaster' was the most decked out of the group as he wore a black spandex suit which had green portions making up the sleeves from the elbows down and legs from the knees going down. He wore a pair of shin-high boots with elbow-length green gloves with stubbed knuckles Tomura guessed were there to give his punches a little damage points whenever he used his fists.
Still, while he looked like he was a speed build, it was clear that he put some points into defense as he had protective padding or whatever, he didn't know, over his chest, stomach, groin, thighs, knees, elbows, shoulders and feet, a look he finished off with a grey hooded cape and skull themes helmet. Only adding to how multi-skilled this guy seemed to be, he was one of the only two in the group carrying weapons and he must have really liked the storage space of most MMORPG as he was carrying two pistols in thigh holsters and a shotgun seemed to be carried on a holster on his back. If that wasn't crazy enough, this guy went from FPS to Fantasy as he also had a sword, a fucking bow and quiver, and of all things, a round shield.
"White Fang." The tallest of the group said from her place at the bar. Her villain attire seemed to be more simple in comparison to the last guy as she wore a form-fitting black dress with light green accents on the rims of the outfit. The dress left most of her back open, had two long splits on the side which revealed a pair of black shorts and helped to show off her dark skin tone. A shorter split in the front and a small squared keyhole, as well as a green waist cincher with red rims that had a black belt over it, which fastened a green pouch to her right hip.
Aside from that, she wore black stocking in conjunctions with green sandals that had red laces with were tied to her calves, as well as a black elbow-length fingerless glove on her right hand and finished the look with a mask that covered her lover face, leaving only her eyes visible along with her black and red hair. As the other person carrying a weapon which appeared to be a whip made from a chain? Tomura wasn't going to pretend he knew enough about whips but he was pretty sure there was a reason why they weren't made from chains so he questioned its usefulness.
"Scarlett." One of the two at the booth spoke up. He seemed to have one of the more basic costumes, He's villain costume was a black form-fitting body-glove that even covered his head bar his face. To make up for that, he wore a black and red fox-styled mask. He wore some armor that covered his forearms and chest but he was seemingly built for speed or stealth as he finished the look with a pair of red gloves and brown heavily furred boots which really gave him a shaman kinda look which got Tomura wondering if it played into his quirk or if he was just into that shit, it wouldn't be the first time he had seen villains like that, even he had a thing with the hands.
"Gingerbread!" The rude girl, who had been the second one to take a seat at the booth, spoke up with a raised hand, like some child which only made her seem more annoying to him. She wore a form-fitting brown and white spandex suit with her shoulder-length brown hair having a single fringe covering her right eye.
Her attire had white making up the lover half of it with green making up the upper half, both halves having sploshes of the opposing color in almost the same fashion as paint drops falling onto the ground. Over the suit, she wore knee-high boots and carried a utility belt in much the same fashion as Taskmaster did. Also, like Taskmaster, she wore some kind of armor protecting her chest, stomach, groin, thighs, and shoulders and it was all colored to be brown or white in a random fashion. If Tomura didn't know any better, he'll say she reminded him of a gingerbread man
"Panda-Fist." One of the villains who was still standing said. Her villain attire was a black and white, shin-length qipao, under which she wore a pair of white, skin-tight tights that covered her lower half. Along with that, she wore a white and black trimmed glove on the right hand which goes up until her shoulder while on the other hand, she wore a black and white trimmed glove that went up till her elbow. She was also wearing a pair of knee-high black boots along with kneepads. To carry gear, she carried a small satchel on her back. Lastly, the costume is finished off with a half-face mask which left her brown eyes as bare as her blue hair.
"Night-Owl." Lastly, the robbed one who had calmed things down was the last to introduce himself. Much like the one calling himself Scarlett, his gear wasn't as elaborate as some of the others being that the most striking feature is that he wore a tattered shin-length black robe which covered most of his body but did show that its interior was dark red and that from what he could tell, he was also wearing a pair of dark equally tattered black pants and sandals. The hood and white face mask with red-colored eyes similar to some masks worn by pros made it impossible to see his real face.
Still, despite their introduction and Sensei backing them up, he didn't like them. Any of them.
"As Taskmaster is better suited for it, he'll be aiding you in the planning of any future operations." Night-Owl said as he gestured towards his partner who stepped forward.
"You still get the final say but I hope that you take my opinions into consideration." Taskmaster spoke up, sounding both polite but strong as he nodded his head towards the two men.
"I'll aid you in handling meetings and negotiations. Organizations such as this will need such to order to keep friction from…other groups low and to maintain good relations with your suppliers and allies." Night-Owl finished off.
"We're mostly here for combat and bodyguard work. Misty over here can't be the only person watching your back, right?" Gingerbread said as she gestured towards the other four of the group.
"My name is Kurogiri. Your new boss goes by Tomura Shigaraki." Kurogiri corrected her as he knew that she seemed like the type of person to use nicknames.
"I'll be sure to remember that, Misty." And he was right. Good thing he had experience dealing with Tomura so this kind of thing was water off his back.
"Let's get down to business, shall we? Why don't you inform me of your capabilities at present? If I know what we're working with, it'll be easier to plan out future operations." Taskmaster didn't mess around as he demanded they tell him such secrets.
"And you think we'll tell you?" Tomura asked him as the odds of him just telling him that was so low, it wasn't even funny.
"Considering that your boss paid for our services, yes. So long as your pay, you don't need to question our loyalty?" Taskmaster shot back as he crossed his arms and stared the guy down.
He didn't know how but Izuku already knew this assignment was going to be annoying….in more ways than one.
And that is the chapter. As you all read, the group of villains of HIVE will be attending Shiketsu as transfer students as they would need a cover as to why they're in Japan as they can't be villains all the time. Plus, while I originally had them attend UA and have them flush out its 2nd-year class as we know next to nothing about…anyone in any of UA second-year classes, I decided to drop it as it would be difficult to work in, especially once UA implements its boarding school option as at this point, we're not sure if it's only the hero course but I can't see why Nezu and the rest of the staff leave that to chance.
Also, as far as I know as an anime-only fan, Shiketsu's location hasn't been given yet, only that it's in eastern Japan so I just chose a prefecture after a 4-minute selection process, and seeing how many of the locations in-universe only exist in their world, I don't see a problem with me using another real-world location and just removing and adding things as I like. To go with the Star Wars theme with the names of places, I named the town after Mace Windu's home-planet which I think fits as Mace was one of the more traditionalist/conservative members of the Jedi Council and Shiketsu does have much stricter rules than UA so yeah.
If the first part of the chapter didn't make it obvious, I do plan to have scenes when they aren't acting as villains but as teens as I enjoy when shows and other media slow down and just have the cast relax and do something that doesn't have lives on the line. Like how the Culture festival is only there to be a school thing and the worst thing that could have happened is that it gets canceled if Midoriya wasn't able to stop Gentle and La Brava in time. There will also be times when they interact with the hero students and while they can use those times to learn things about them, nothing saying they can't have fun while they do it.
With the USJ incident, more of the attack will be revealed in time when we see Bakugo's side of things further down the line since, for obvious reasons, Izuku and his friends won't know the full scope since not even Tomura and Kurogiri know everything that went down that day. With their costumes and gear, some of which were designed by me or my friends, and others were based on other materials from different shows. Izuku especially was heavily influenced by both Taskmaster and Deathstroke, Deathstroke being the fact he makes it a regular thing to carry firearms.
Commardbattl: Unfortunately, that will only be revealed in the next chapter.
Wijmaids0: Yes, if there is one thing we can all agree on with Midoriya, is that he has an incredibly strong sense of justice and drive to do what he sees as right, which is why I'm doing the story like this with the entire chapters serving as flashbacks as I want to show how Midoriya went from 'someone who wants to save people just because' to 'I kill people for money'. I want to write the character shift as while there are many good villain stories, they all hinge on him being rejected by All Might and I want to do something different.
Ultimate10: Yes, that is true but I hope that it didn't come off as character bashing as while I hate a lot of fictional characters, I try my best to not let that bleed into my works. Hence why I de-aged him when it started as an older Katsuki is likely to realize how fucked that is and not do it. Yeah, he beats the crap outta Midoriya seemingly on the regular but he doesn't attack his character or grades so he's still relatively free to try to attend any school he wished. But as the chapter name suggests, children are cruel as they don't have that perspective, emotional maturity and are a hell of a lot selfish.
Guest: Yes, there will be some elements from Marvel as well, not a lot as I don't want people asking me where's Thor or something. With the truth of his actions, they'll come out little by little as the story goes.
