Gar was driving down the highway leading back to their home. All the while, he held Rose's hand and listened to Jaime go on and on about the excursion they just had. Looking up in the mirror, he could see that Cass was looking at Jaime with an amused expression on her face. This caused him to smirk slightly as he continued listening to his friend speak.

"Man, that was scary but also pretty exhilarating. The only time I've been shot at was with lasers that won't cause too much damage. When bullets get involved, that'll wake you up real quick."

He finally took a moment to catch his breath. As he was doing so, Gar looked up again to try and get the attention of Cass. It worked as her eyes locked with his. He cleared his throat and spoke.

"I hope you guys know that we are gonna have to be careful when it comes to the media. I don't want it getting out that we're over here. If the League or Titans find out where we are, things are bound to get messy."

Cass nodded her head and agreed with him. She knew, along with him, that Batman and Robin were most likely searching to where they could be. Luckily for them, they covered their tracks pretty well. But it didn't mean that they could do as they please. One slip up, and it could lead to a visit from their old team.

Jaime on the other hand was a little different. He agreed that they should stay hidden for now. From the stories that Gar told him before, he was sure Robin would flip out if he found out who they were working with now. Not to mention the fact that Gar was dating his daughter.

But he also believed that eventually the Titans would begin to stretch their search. If they couldn't find them in America, he was pretty sure that they'd start to look overseas. Yes, he knew that Gar hadn't told them of his past, but the Titans also knew that the Doom Patrol had done work overseas. Who's to say they wouldn't try to reach out to any of the governments or superhero teams on this side of the world.

"You know, we can't hide from the for forever Gar."

Jaime said it a bit tentative, but he figured he'd be a little reasonable with his friend. He watched his friend grip the steering wheel a bit harder and his eyes harden just a tad. The AC in the car seemed to kick in a little harder at that moment.

Rose glanced to her boyfriend to see his reaction and noticed the same thing that Jaime did. Although it didn't look like he was upset, she could tell that he didn't like what Jaime had said.

"I'd like to think we can."

It wasn't malicious, but it was very clear that Gar seemed to disagree. It made Jaime flinch and Cass looked at bit troubled at how Gar sounded. She could tell that he had no intentions of sending any warm messages to his old team.

Rose took ahold of his hand with both of hers now and rubbed it lightly, trying to calm him. She knew that the Titans had left a bad taste in his mouth. The last thing she wanted was for him to be upset before they go on their date.

"We can just have Grant and Rachel deal with the press. Although she sounded upset, she doesn't really mind speaking to them."

Cass caught on and quickly agreed with what she was saying.

"That way the attention won't be on us and we can get out of the way before we are spotted."

Gar sat there and nodded his head. He knew he could trust Grant to have his back, as he had proven if time after time. Rachel was Rose's best friend and the surrogate big sister so he was pretty sure that if she was asked, she would do what she could to help out her friend.

"Alright, that sounds good with me. But Jaime,"

He glanced back to make eye contact with his friend. Seeing that he got what he wanted, he continued on with what he was saying.

"Next time we're in a situation like that, you need to aim better. I'll have Slade make sure the next training session for you will be on your marksmanship."

A smirk worked it's way onto his face as Jaime gave him an incredulous look. He heard him start to defend himself and give excuses why he wasn't hitting anything while Cass started to laugh next to him in the back seat. Glancing over, he saw Rose smiling at him and roll her eyes. He chuckled and picked her hand up to place a kiss on it before setting it back down as they continued on with their drive.

They reached the tower and allowed Jaime and Cass to exit the vehicle and head inside. Giving them instructions to inform Slade of what happened, Gar bid them goodbye and took off with Rose to finally go on their date.

He glanced over to her and noticed she seemed to be excited. Her eyes were gleaming and she fidgeted with her hand that wasn't being held. Taking notice, he turned back to the road and spoke to her.

"You seem excited mamas."

Turning to her boyfriend who was still disguised, she gave him a smile and raised an eyebrow in amusement.

"Can you blame me? I've been waiting on this for months."

He chuckled and caressed her hand. Truth be told, he was excited as well. He was just a bit better at hiding it.

"I know. But patience pays off in the end."

As he continued on his drive, he took notice that the streets had seemed to get a little more crowded than when he was heading to the meeting with the President. Seeing this, he figured it'd be best to keep on his disguise.

He took a look around for any signs that would lead them to a good restaurant. Everything seemed to be in Arabic, which was no problem for him, it just meant he would be the only one able to read the signs.

Continuing on, he finally came across a place that Rose found to catch her eye. Pointing to a large and luxurious building, she spoke up and couldn't help her enthusiasm.

"That place right there. Me and Rachel had dinner here a couple of months ago and loved it."

Smiling, he gave her a nod and found a parking spot. He pulled in to one and turned off the car. As he was unbuckling himself, he made a move to get out of the SUV but found a hand was gripping his arm.

He turned to Rose who had a mischievous smirk on her face and a hungry look in her eye. Looking at her curiously, he gave her his attention as it looked like she wasn't quite ready to get out yet.

"What's the rush for? We have plenty of time before the place gets busy."

She grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him closer to her. Closing her eyes, she leaned in until their lips met. It started off soft and sensual, but quickly deepened. Rose moaned as she started to devour his lips and began to run her hand across his chest. Gar instantly perked up and returned the fervor of her kisses much to her appease.

Tongues started to dance with each other and his hand found it way to her thigh. Beginning to feel himself get turned on, he pulled her into his lap. She let out a squeak in surprise, but felt herself becoming turned on as well. Now in his lap, she began to gyrate against his member as she felt it starting to harden. Feeling the length and hardness of it, she began to pick up the pace and start to moan.

His lips found their way to her throat as he began to bite and suck on it, causing her to let out a gasp and moan. She went to unbutton his shirt but much to their dismay, Gar's wrist communicator went off.

Rose let out a few swears at the person who thought they needed to speak to Gar at this moment. Giving her a apologetic glance, he gave her one last kiss before they separated themselves. He pressed a button to speak as Rose fixed herself to hide any signs of what just transpired.

"What's up?"

Gar somehow hid his agitation in his voice, as he desperately wanted to continue on with what they were doing. It went away a good bit once he heard who had called him.

"He man, just wanted to let you know we took care of everything. Muhammad is going to take us back to the tower."

If it were anyone but Grant, he would've asked them if it was really necessary to let him know that. But being that it was his soon to be best friend and possible future brother-in-law, he couldn't help but feel a little more at ease.

He nodded and turned to Rose, who didn't quite feel the same. She had a scowl on her face as she looked out the window and held her head in her hand. To say she was pissed would be an understatement. He chuckled at her and turned his attention back to his friend.

"Alright, sounds good. Sorry to leave you there man. Just didn't want the media to catch Cass or Jaime with their camera."

He heard Grant chuckle and it sounded like he didn't seem to mind.

"No worries, we understood the situation. Just take care of my sister on your date and we'll call it even."

He chuckled at his friend's comment. Giving Rose a quick look and smile, he spoke.

"You have my word that I will."

The call ended and he turned to see that Rose was now looking out the window. Smiling in amusement, he got out and walked around to her side. He opened the door and gave her one of his famous smiles that he would have when he was on the Titans.

"You seem to be upset."

She looked up at him and rolled her eyes. He thought he had done something wrong until she spoke.

"Leave it to my brother to call you when we're in the middle of something."

He laughed at her comment and had to wipe away some tears. He could tell that she was going to be a little angry with her brother when they got back tonight. He unbuckled her and gently pulled her out of the SUV. Grabbing her hand, he pulled her along as he walked towards the restaurant.

"Don't worry Rose. We still have the rest of the day. Let me take care of you and you might get a reward for doing so."

She gave him another one of her mischievous smirks. Leaning up to him, she spoke in his ear with a slight purr in her voice.

"I'll be expecting one tonight in your bedroom."

He chuckled and wrapped an arm around her. She leaned into him and found herself chuckling as well. They walked in the building and were escorted to their seat by a hostess. Glancing around, he could see why Rose liked this place.

It was beautiful. Gold pillars and statues were all over the place. The walls were a deep navy blue and had paintings from all different artists. The place smelled as if God himself was the cook.

He turned back to his date who seemed to take amusement in his awe. Giving her a look, he voiced his opinion to her.

"This place is nice. I can see why you and Rachel liked it."

She chuckled and smirked.

"Wait until you have the food. There's nothing like it."

He smiled and turned his attention to the menu. He looked over it and settled on the lamb stew, seeing that it was the only dish he could tell that had some sort of American similarities. He looked up at Rose to see her still looking it over.

He stared at her for a moment and noticed just how beautiful she looked. Although they had just been in a gunfight earlier in the day, he still couldn't believe how gorgeous she was. Her hair looked so soft and shined from the lights. Her lips were soft and were tempting him to lean over and kiss her. Her eyes looked like endless pools of honey. He could get lost in those and have no care in the world.

She felt his eyes on her and looked back up to see him sitting there with a smile on his face. Looking at him curiously, she asked him a question.

"What is it?"

He just continued on smiling and leaned in a little closer.

"You look beautiful."

She had the decency to blush and found herself grinning like a fool. Tucking some hair behind her ear, she returned her eyes to him.

"Thank you babe. You look nice yourself."

He gave an amused snort and smirked at her.

"Not anywhere near as good as you."

Her blush grew a little more and she found herself staring at him. No doubt in her mind did she love him. He made her feel whole and always showed her affection. The more she was with him, the better she felt.

At that moment, the waiter came over to take their order and give them their drinks. Both had settled on water and a glass of Chardonnay. As the waiter left to deliver their order to the kitchen, Gar turned his attention back to Rose. He could see her smiling at him and he couldn't help but return it. Grabbing her hand, he spoke.

"You seem rather happy mamas."

She gave him a nod and squeezed his hand.

"I am. You make me feel that way."

He picked up her hand and kissed it.

"I'm glad I do. I can sleep better at night knowing that Slade isn't going to be killing me."

She gave a light chuckle at his joke before responding to the joke.

"He wouldn't. I don't think he'd like his daughter and sons teaming up with their friends to kill him."

He laughed before shaking his head and looking back to her. They fell into a comfortable silence as they just stared at each other, basking in the warmth they felt towards each other.

After some time, their food finally came. Gar looked at her dish and noticed it definitely looked like something he would contemplate eating. His dish however looked very good and smelt even better. His mouth watered as the waiter left them to their meals. Rose watched as he lifted his spoon to his lips and took in his food. She saw his face instantly light up as a smile came across it.

"How's it taste?"

Not even bothering to look back to her, he took another spoonful of the stew into his mouth.

"Delicious."

She chuckled as she watched him eat. It was amusing to see how much he'd light up at the sight of good food. Thinking of a sly retort, she started on her food and spoke.

"Don't overeat, you have dessert waiting for you when we get home."

That caught his attention quickly. Spoon halfway to his mouth, he glanced back to Rose only to see her starting on her dish. He caught a small smirk on her face as she started to eat and he found himself smiling as well.

After a forkful of rice and lamb was in her mouth, she finally glanced back up to see his face. Her smirk grew when she saw that Gar had indeed caught her innuendo and she saw his eyes darkened a bit in hunger.

"I'll be sure to keep that in mind."

They shared one last glance before they continued on with their meals. As they ate, they would sneak occasional looks towards each other. Both were quite understanding what the other had planned for each other once the night was finished.
