Manny and Gypsy's Past
It was a beautiful day in the city of Bugdom.
There was a male emperor moth named Jonathan. He was at the hospital where his wife named Madeline, who already went in labor, was giving birth. He prayed that she'd survive childbirth. Moments later, the doctor walked out to see Jonathan.
"Sir?" the doctor asked.
"Well?" Jonathan questioned back.
"Sir, your baby is a healthy little girl," the doctor said.
Jonathan sighed, and felt relieved, but asked again, not sure of what happened with his love,
"How's my wife, too?"
The doctor sadly shook his head and said,
"I'm so sorry, sir. We've lost her."
Jonathan gasped, and scurried to the infirmary. He noticed Madeline lying motionless on the birthing table. He rushed to her side and clutched her hand.
"Maddy?! Please, get up! C'mon, babe," Jonathan sobbed,
"Oh, doctor, don't tell me my wife is dead!"
All of a sudden, there was crying. Jonathan stared at the baby female emperor moth, and cradled her in his arms.
"There, there, little one, daddy's here," he said softly,
"I promise to protect you, my little Gypsy."
Baby Gypsy whimpered, and fell asleep. Jonathan kissed his girl's forehead with passion.
Years later…
Gypsy was 8 years old; her father was almost at an elder age, but still young enough. He tells her stories, takes her to school, and furthermore, she becomes successful. Gypsy noticed a male praying mantis, who was 2 years older than her.
"Hi!" Gypsy said.
The young praying mantis looked up at Gypsy. His eyes gazed at her, as if he had a crush on her.
"Oh, hello, dearie!" he replied,
"I am Manny. What's your name?"
"I am Gypsy," Gypsy replied.
Then, the two giggled.
But suddenly, their parents left each other with their own children, who hated being separated.
Jonathan tells Gypsy a lesson, and it has gone over with. The next day, Gypsy has a talk with her father about their lives.
"Dad? What was mom like?" Gypsy asked.
"Gypsy, your mother is the most beautiful moth I've ever met. Her eyes are as shiny as a makeup and her smile is as beautiful as an elegant one."
Gypsy smiled, as her father hugged her, hoping that nothing would happen to her.
Many years passed; Gypsy was now an adult. Her father is at an old age. The two were walking together as the only family, while all of their family were out of town in Bugdom.
Once Gypsy gazed at the adult praying mantis, she noticed that it was her old friend, Manny! Manny was working at a restaurant, and he suddenly looked at her.
"Gypsy…?" Manny asked.
"Hey! Get to work!" his boss called out.
Jonathan took his daughter Gypsy's hand and walked away.
Moments later, Manny finished his work due to promotion, but noticed a cry for help; it was Gypsy. Manny rushed over and spotted Gypsy near her father. Jonathan was wheezing due to age.
"Daddy!" Gypsy cried.
"Gypsy, my dear, what happened?!" Manny cried.
"My father's laying here! Please help!" Gypsy panicked.
Manny nodded, and helped her take her father to the hospital. Onxe they did so, they waited to see if Gypsy's father made it. The doctor walked out sadly, while Manny and Gypsy all wanted to know if her father makes it. The doctor said to Gypsy,
"I'm sorry, your father, didn't make it…"
With a gasp, Gypsy began sobbing. She cried,
"First my mother, and now my father…"
Manny reassured his wife in his arms. He gave her a big hug as compassionately as possible.
As the two held a funeral of Gypsy's father, they buried him next to her mother's grave, since Madeline died after giving birth to her girl.
Gypsy decided to live with Manny at this point. She hated the fact that she was crying uncontrollably.
"There, there, Gypsy my dear. I know how emotional you are, and how much your father means to you," Manny said as he shushed her silently.
"Thanks, dear, ever since the death of my mother, and now my father, I'm so lonely for now!" Gypsy sobbed out.
Manny sighed as he helped her wipe her tears away. Seconds later, Manny though of a way to cheer up Gypsy.
"My dear, I have something for you," he said.
"You do?" Gypsy asked as she wiped her tears away.
Manny nodded, and took out a ring that was inside an opened jewelry box. Gypsy squealed for a moment with happiness while Manny continued,
"Gypsy, my dear, will you marry me? And we'll all be together for our lives."
"Yes, Manny, dear! Of course I'll marry you," Gypsy replied with a smile.
With a smile, Manny placed the ring on Gypsy's finger, and kissed her. Blushing, Gypsy smiled and returned the kiss.
This was like, a happily ever after!
