Running isn't exactly the way to flee from something, believe me, my mom had told me, and she knows everything from all her years of dimension traveling. She had learned that when she had to flee the millelith back in Liyue after being framed for killing Rex Lapis, they must've been mistaken when I ran, I just didn't want it to seem awkward as I passed by after finding out that their god was dead. I mean, Zhongli said it was the best for Liyue, agree with the former archon guys! Mom had said. Yet we still ran. The millelith are chasing US, it's like I went back in time, but as my mom! I mean I'm not my mom I still look like me, but a 19-year-old me. This must be confusing for you, let me explain from the start.
It was a nice sunny day, although the forecast had said it was going to be a rainy day. I won't hear a word of it! I thought to myself. It's the first day of 10th grade and I'm not going to let anything stop me. I had moved into the Inazuma district a while after all the kids from Liyue and Mondstadt transferred for the Elementary school years. High schoolers and Middle schoolers had their own schools, so they had to share the pre-k to kindergarten deal. What a rough house, no wonder people have stinkin' ranks there. People need to know who not to mess with and who not to talk to or else. Quiet kids could secretly be rich patooties. That's the main reason no one ever dare bully kids, that and the principal is former archon, and current Raiden Shogun of Inazuma. Or so that's what my mother said, my mom was a traveler who held the world on her shoulders. Anywhere she went, she met the archons. Mom said one day, she'll introduce me to the archons of Teyvat. Her name was Lumine. What, you want to know about my dad? His name is Ajax, he was fatui harbinger and I believe he secretly seduced mom, mostly because Fat-ui are revenge seekers. He says he loves her, but I don't know, that's the reason I don't really like my dad.
"Good morning class, please stand by my desk and wait to be seated by me. I'm Ms. Klee, and I am your new homeroom and ½ hour ELA!" Ms. Klee laughed as she began calling names one by one, but they weren't names of anybody I knew. "Amara Redding?" Ms. Klee called as a girl with brown hair and bright yellow eyes stepped up to the desk she was called up. "Yoimiya Skyward? Wait, daughter of Lumine Skyward? Right!?" Ms. Klee excitedly yelled as the kids started chattering around the class. "The traveler?" One spoke. "Oh, Lumine and I were the best of friends when she was in Mondstadt!" Ms. Klee had said, I smirked over my shoulder, amazed at how my fish bombing teacher knew who I was. I was named after someone mom had met in Inazuma here. I'm pretty sure her name was Yoimiya Nagonohara. I heard her spirit animal was a tiger. How interesting, I might even be popular here!
"Class is over! Please fill out those forms for our trip to Seirai Island, it's very unsafe, but I know some of you have battle skills." Ms. Klee had warned us, of course she was talking to me about the battle skills, and yes it comes naturally. My parents didn't even have to teach me about it, wielding a sword came naturally as I had said. I walked out of the classroom and Amara had straight out hugged me.
"Let's be friends Yoimiya-Chan!" She had shouted, squeezing the breath out of me. "Let me go Amara! That hurts; besides you need energy for our elemental mastery class at the end of the day. Also, just call me Yoimiya!" I had gasped the words. Amara had let go and JSL'd I'm sorry. I mouthed It's alright, and we can be friends!
Amara jumped around the room with excitement as I sighed.
"This is going to be a long year…" I whispered under my breath.
Now every day when I go to school, she's always there, always hugging me as I walk into the door, everyday Ms. Klee giving me special treatment because my mother is the legendary traveler. Is my mom really that popular? I decided to confront Amara and ask her why she wanted to be my friend; I mean she was surrounded by other people because her mom was an outrider, and I'm surrounded by people because my mom was a standing, almost immortal, warrior, of the world.
"Hey Yoimiya! What's up?" Amara asked as she caught up to my pace as we walked through the halls. "Nothing, just looking for Elemental mastery class. Y'know Amara, you should be too." I concluded. "Yes, I'm in Ms. Lisa's class." "The librarian?" "Yea,"
"Good afternoon class, I'm Mrs. Jean Ragnvinder, and I'll be your Elemental mastery teacher." Mrs. Ragnvinder smiled. She seated us, not a word came from her mouth about me, but I at least knew she was watching. She gave us lessons on Mondstadt's Element, and how to control it.
"Would someone like to demonstrate an elemental attack? Ms. Skyward?" She sneered, accidentally of course. I walked up to the front of the room, not knowing what to do because the only elements she had ever used was Geo, Electro, and Dendro. She had to substitute for it, or at least try some Anemo. I held my hands up and moved my legs to a ready position, then… FWOOSH! A blast of air knocked over several desks. Mrs. Ragnvinder clapped, and the kids rushed over to me and clapped enthusiastically. I smiled, it's the second time I've really smiled at school after meeting Amara, but she wasn't there to see my elemental skill, I was sad, but still happy. I'd made a real friend.
I walked out of the classroom as soon as the bell rang, it appeared as if I had a human cape following me everywhere I went. People kept following me for some awkward reason, I had to get Amara to shoo them away. Obviously, I really didn't have the guts to just say "Go away! You're really annoying!" So Amara just threw her bag at them. She's really interesting.
"Hey Yoimiya!" Amara clapped her hands on my head. "Yes Amara?" I sighed happily. "Can I go over to your house? I want to meet my mom's Favonius buddy!" "Alright, follow me." I sagged around the school to my house's road. As we approached the nice big house Amara dropped her bag and squealed. "OMG IT'S LUMINE HOUSE! Wait, who did she end up marrying?" Amara fell to her knees and tilted her head. "She married a Fatui Harbinger named Childe, Tartaglia, Ajax, whatever he has too many names." I sighed. "A fricking Fatui? C'MON, I thought your mom was cooler than that." Amara got up and dragged my arm towards the door. "Open it," She grinned. "Sure," I opened the door and Amara burst in.
"YOIMIYA IS IN THE HOUSE BABY! Tu casa es incredible!" Amara complimented "Thanks," I cracked up. Someone walked in and Amara fell to the floor "HO-LY CRAPPPPP!" She screamed
