Darkness and light
He woke up in a strange void. But there wasn't exactly nothing here. He had to be standing on something, he was sure he was standing. He looked down. There was that platform with the two faces on it next to his head. One was of his future wife, the other, his daughter. He realized how miniscule he was compared to it. He knelt down to feel it. It was all glassy in nature. It was as smooth as glass, yet wet, like water.
He got up, looked down at his waist and saw his lightsaber was still there. "Good" he thought as he learned what happened to the last Jedi who lost their blade. He did not want to be them. He looked to the left. There were seven empty spots arranged in a circle on the top left. His overall color was also blue, the color of courage. He had squares of red and black around the edges. The color of passion and death.
He felt a rush of air circle around him as he began to see a mist that was somehow darker than the all-black background that surrounded him. It began to coagulate and congeal. It became some monstrous thing. It had humanoid but Giant arms, legs and hands. It had a massive heart-shaped hole in its chest. It had a very tentacled head. In all it was about ten times taller than he was. He wasn't easily intimidated, but this thing was intimidating. It reached down and grabbed Brady and squeezed him tight. He managed to get one arm loose and swipe at it with his lightsaber. The laser weapon only glanced off the creature, confirming what the creature is made out of. Shadow, only powers of light would help against it. And yet, he had access to none of the skills needed to defeat it using Light alone. This monster was enormous. It gripped him like he had never been grabbed before.
This monster was just a big bully. However, he could feel the light welling up inside of him. He swung his lightsaber around hitting the monster in the hand multiple times. This caused it to stagger backward, dropping him. He then threw his lightsaber to the head. This was one of those gray areas where this creature, this demon, wasn't really alive, so he had no qualms at all about killing it.
It hit his head, causing more pain than when he was being struck in the hand. Brady began to get overwhelmed. He felt a stab of light pulse through his heart. He called upon a mystical weapon. It formed into the abstract shape of a key, but as sharp as a sword. This part of the battle was the worst for him. He had his power drained out from him. He leapt back from the monstar's grasp. The monster slammed its fist down in rage. It created a massive shockwave that Brady had to dive over. He used the blade's magical abilities to shoot beams of light at the creature. It caused visible damage that was quickly re-formed. He dogged out of the way of the creature's shadow-balls. The creature reaches out to him as his vision whites out.
Brady woke up in the barracks of the Venitor. He was wearing plain white Armor. He looked around at the people. They were all Identical, except for the haircuts. None of them looked like him, however. So Brady was surprised none of them reported him to whomever the commander was. A trooper approached his bunk.
"Never seen you around, what's your call-sign?"
":Call-Sign?" Brady replied, skeptically.
Your Ct number and your nickname."
"My Ct Number…, My CT Number…," Brady Stalled. He looked down at his wrist gauntlet. He had written the CT number he claimed to be on it, apperentally. "Ok It looks like I'm CT 71525., and my call-sign," He thought back to the last time he had encountered a clone trooper, "My call-sign is Iron-General."
"Bu..but that's impossible." the trooper stammered.
"How So.." Brady replied as he cocked his head to one side confused.
"I saw him die" replied the trooper, also starting to sound suspicious. "But you do sound like him, and you have been fighting with a backpack on…. It just can't be because I tried to save him myself." he muttered under his breath.
Thanks to Brady's attunement to the force, he could hear what the trooper was thinking. He was also thinking this same thing, "could this trooper really be…" his thoughts were interrupted when alarms blared across the ship, "Names Drakon, Sir, Captain Drakon… Happy to have you with us again" he shouted and soluted as he ran off to his post. Brady quickly put on his helmet, which was mostly shiny white with a few specs of dust clung to it. He put it on. They end up running down the corridor toward the battle-stations. He followed the now Captain back to the post to find that he and drakon along with Charon were to escort Ahsoka down to meet Anakin and Obi-One. He felt excited, his first real taste of action. He and the troopers along with Ahsoka loaded up onto the ship. They flew down to the planet below. It was crystalline blue and green. It was what he had imagined growing up watching the movie, but the movie didn't do the beauty of this city justice. The Ship landed with a jolt, knocking him out of his seat a little. He hit his head.
"Ow!" he shouted a little louder than he ment too.
He and Ahsoka along with the other troopers all disembarked. He began to talk to his Captain after Ahsoka began her conversation with Anakin and Obi-Wan.
"
So you say things have been going poorly here. How bad." Brady said
"Very, let's go take a walk so I can show you."
They started walking down the road. He showed him how the cannons were all that stood between them and defeat. There he encountered the Orange-skinned Alien being walking alongside a blue and white armor clad trooper. They had been walking along and doing something very similar to what he and his companion were doing. The groups met up in the middle and began to exchange pleasantries. Brady found he got along well with the girl. Even more so than before. Rex and Drakon seemed to know a good bit about each other going off of how they interacted with one another. Suddenly they were interrupted by panic within the ranks. The quartet looked up.
"What do you see?" asked Ahsoka.
Brady put his hand up to his eyes so he could see clearer, "Umm,... it looks like they have set up a ray shield."
"A ray shield, that's no good, our cannons are useless against that thing." replied Rex.
They scrambled to the command Center with Brady putting on his helmet to cover his face. Anakin and Obi-Wan were coming up with their plan, how Obi-wan will bring the troopers in defensive lines, and Anakin and Ahsoka will sneak behind the enemy lines in a metal box. While Obi-Wan did not personally approve of this plan, he still let it slide as he knew his apprentice could handle himself. Regardless of what he said, Anakin would also most likely do what he wanted anyway, so there was no point in trying to stop him.
Brady could sense that things were not going to go the way they wanted, or was it just his innate knowledge of the film that this scene originated from. He knew they were gonna run into a minefield of droids. So he knew he had to sneak away to help them. But how to…? His opportunity to sneak away came when he noticed a break in the lines as the men scrambled to get back to the first defensive lines. Brady noticed a medium-hanging ledged he could jump on to scramble quickly out of sight. He climbed up with some difficulty onto the ledge. He was never a sports player and he is slightly overweight for his age. He collapses on the edge for a second out of pure exhaustion. A blaster bolt wzzewd past his head, destroying a battle droid. A hand reached down and pulled the false clone up, and flung him further onto the deck.
"Easy there, General. Ya gotta pick your battles more carefully, mate."
It was Sparky, the most reliable sniper in the 501st.
Brady soluted the trooper and continued to make his way toward the box. He activated a strange device that he seemed to realize he was holding this whole time. He looked down and freaked out for a second as he noticed he was invisible. He then parkoured his way with some difficulty across the rest of the rock ledge and landed right on top of the box that Ahsoka and Anakan were using with a noticeable thud.
"What was that?" asked Ahsoka
"I don't know" replied Anakin "Can't sense anything either."
They began to crawl forward with Brady hoping off the box and following close behind. He was still invisible. They made their way to the shield generator. When they got to the patch of the buried droids, Brady deactivated his active camo and got to a safe hiding spot. He witnessed Anakan and Ahsoka tearing the droids apart. He thought he should intervene, however they dealt with them too fast for him too, and plus, something just wasn't right. He looked up and saw a female figure clad in Black and red armor standing up on a higher ledge. His gaze was distracted just long enough for some black and gray swirling mist to knock him into the full view of Ahsoka and Anakan. Ahsoka's gaze met his as the mist formed around them. Ignoring Anakan, she hopped down to help Brady get onto his feet.
Suddenly the mist formed behind Anakan into a figure clad in jet-black armor. The figure grabbed Anakin by the arm before he could react, and with a smile (or at least what Brady thought was a smile under the helmet) the figure left just as quickly as they appeared with the kidnapped Anakan in tow. As the figure was summoning the dark mist around him to teleport away, he snapped his fingers and summoned in a horde of Demons. These were basically your ordinary demon type with one exception, they shouldn't exist. Never in his albeit limited consumption of fiction had Brady encountered these before. He felt anger welling up inside of him as he failed to keep another person safe. He looked over and saw that thanks to Ahsoka's expression, he knew something was wrong.
"What's wrong?" Brady asked Ahsoka with a slight tremble in his voice.
"Yo..you're glowing purple." She replied with a stammer. "People aren't supposed to do that."
"What did you say?" Brady snapped a little more rude than he meant to.
"N…nothing" replied Ahsoka as she now knew she needed to get used to working with this guy.
Brady reached deep inside of himself and calmed down. He knew he had acted without thought and out of turn. He took several cleansing, slow breaths and felt the fire extinguish itself. He pulled open the back of his backpack, and used the force to summon out his lightsaber for the first time in what felt like years. He also dropped the bag, figuring that it was best to lighten the weight as much as possible. He turned the iridescent green blade on once more, and held it up to his cheek. With a smirk, Ahsoka pulled out her lightsaber and held it with the backhanded way she was used to. They stood back to back ready to fight the demons no matter what they did. They dispatched several of them before Brady realized they weren't going after him. He looked up and saw that female figure doing some sort of ritual. He bumped Ahsoka in the shoulder lightly to get her attention to focus on the same thing he saw, but as soon as she got the hint and looked up, the figure was gone. What they left behind was a circle that was now glowing red with hate and anger. He quickly glanced at Ahsoka and saw that they were thinking the same thing. They had realized that the demons attacking them were just a distraction. They were really after the main base. So, after a little more fighting they managed to break free and run straight to the offensive line. When it came into sight, they could see Yoda and Obi-Wan struggling with a Giant bull-like Demon beast. Lightsabers were not working against them.
As he was running to help them. Brady looked up to see that figure again, this time probably doing some sort of teleportation spell. He guessed correctly as the red circle soon also came with her. The circle then morphed into a door that looked like the one he had slipped through when he was younger. Charon and Drakon were flung in their direction as the beast rampaged across their lines.
"It seems they want us alive for some reason" Smirked Charon as he got to his feet with a little help.
As the monster turned their direction, Brady pointed to the door and Yelled "RUUUUUUNNNNNNNN!"
The four of them all scrambled, jumped, dodged and did anything in their power to try and reach the door. Ahsoka's foot hit a stone causing her to lose her balance Brady caught her shoulder just in time to prevent her from falling. They were so close now only a few more feet. There. He held open the door, swiping at any tentacles that got too close for comfort. Ahsoka got through, then Charon, then Drakon, then with a jump, Brady found himself flung into the door with immense speed. This caused him to propel himself into the edge of the doorway before being gently tossed in by the creature causing him to fall into the void. His senses black out. "Why does this always happen?" he thinks as he blinks out of consciousness.
He wakes up laying on a soft bed of grass. Before he could get up he felt one, two, three thudds right on top of him probably breaking a rib or two. Ahsoka hopped off of him as she grabbed Charon off the middle of the stack while Drakon rolled his way to the side. After grabbing him she knelt down and helped Brady up. He grunted, he was in obvious pain. "Yep, a rib or two is definitely broken." He thought as he steadied himself. He quickly clutched at his side in pain as he tried to stand. He heard the unmistakable noise of a gun cocking and being loaded then he heard someone speak in a very tough and horace voice.
"Who the hell are you guys…"
