I think this is it. Ladies and gentlemen. The last chapter! This story is literally twice as long as 'Losing you' at this point. (probably longer tbh.) Regardless, it was a fun ride for sure…
But I'm not done yet. Yes, I'm done with this story, but I have a sequel planned! That's right! A sequel! The sequel takes place after redemption (duh) but before Recode take place and the sequel is purely a Haseo/Silabus story, with a twist and an original baddie from yours truly!
Also, remembered in the first chapter I said HaseSila would be implied? It's no longer implied. It's happening in this chapter!
Suki shifted against her brother. Her backpack slung against the hospital bed. She knew she should be doing her homework, but that can wait. Right now, she really just wanted to be next to her older brother. Wedging herself between Yuuichi's side and his right arm she sighed against the warmth of his body.
"Big brother, How was your day?" She asked like she was having a genuine conversation with her unconscious brother. "Slept in again, huh?... My day? It was okay. Ren chased me around the playground with a worm on a stick. She said she was going to make me eat it if she touched me with the worm. I managed to hide from her."
Suki sighed and rested her face against her brothers chest. With her ear against his chest, she could hear his steady heartbeat. She hummed again and nuzzled her nose against his chest. "Grandma went down to the cafeteria to get me some lunch. She wasn't too happy to hear that Ren knocked my lunch out of my hands…again… but it's fine! It was my fault anyways, I made Ren mad so I deserved it!"
There was silence, say for the steady beep of the heart monitor.
"Our computers were acting weird today and Chikao, who was playing The World during study period said that the game was literally trembling and he was forced to log out! It was crazy! I bet you wouldn't be scared though. Not with Ryou and… ugh…Gaspard by your side."
She reached up and lightly pulled on the seam of Yuuichi's collar. "Ryou said he was going to wake you up…so…wake up already, Big brother. I'm getting impatient. It's been two months now…"
Silence.
Suki sighed. "That'd be too easy, huh? You were always stubborn-"
Suki felt a hand plant itself up against the top of her head. The world itself seemed to go deadly silent. She couldn't even hear the heart monitor in that moment. The only thing she could hear was her own shaky and excited breathing. She didn't move, fearful that if she did the hand would vanish.
It didn't.
No, the hand lightly ruffled her short hair as if to prove that the hand was real.
Suki's breath hitched. "Big brother?" She whispered too afraid to look up in fear that she'd find him still unconscious.
Then, a raspy tired sounding voice spoke. The voice of her big brother spoke. "...Who's Ryou?"
Haseo truly saw himself as lucky. A lucky guy with so many friends. Friends that if not for them, he was sure he wouldn't be where he was today. Haseo knew if he didn't have these friends there was no way he would have been able to do half of the things he did.
There was no way he would have been able to help save not just The World but the actual world as well. The third network crisis was almost completely avoided. Him, the rest of G.U. and regular players alike all worked together to help defeat Cubia.
Even Gaspard showed up. The little beast, who was still a higher level than Haseo, boldly claimed that he was going to help because "It's what Silabus would have wanted!" Haseo couldn't have been prouder of the beast at that moment.
Then Alkaid showed up. Haseo nearly collapsed with joy seeing her again. Because he had Atoli in his party during that time the three of them were more than happy to share a three way hug. Which caused Alkaid to freak out and hit both Haseo and Atoli up top their heads. "Get a move on you two! Save the sappy shit for later! Go get rid of these monsters!" She had barked before pushing them away.
In the end, The players decided their fate and The World as well as the actual world was saved.
Shino was back and the two shared a nice reunion together.
He got Tabby back just the same after he completed the forest of pain.
He should be satisfied.
But he wasn't. He wasn't satisfied because Silabus still hadn't returned to The World.
According to Yata: The Lost ones were still waking; some waking slower than others, but it felt like it's been too long. So long, that Ryou was planning on going to Sendai that weekend if Silabus didn't show.
'Maybe he quit The World. He got scared off…' was a thought that graced his mind. It was a thought that made Haseo sad to think about. It also made Haseo realize something, something he felt foolish about missing earlier.
'I took him for granted in ways I never even realized. He was always there, not just for me, but for Gaspard, Atoli, and the newbie players. Not only that but he, somehow, always kept Tanu at bay. That beast is still chasing Gaspard's tail.
'If I ever needed someone to talk to, not about AIDA, but just about life, he was there. He always listened and never judged… and you know…learning more about him, about Yuuichi, it's kind of ironic. He had the makings of a PK, but instead, he shunned those who would bully others instead… that's what makes him so interesting. A side of him I desperately want to know, but may never will…'
Haseo came back to the world when someone tugged on his sleeve. "Haseo…" Bo suddenly spoke causing Haseo to snap back to reality. "You've been staring at that chest for an awfully long time. Are you okay?"
Haseo looked at Bo then at Shino.
Shino only gave him a sad smile and Haseo swallowed hard as he looked up at the beast statue. "Yeah, sorry, Bo. I got distracted." He quickly played it off with a hand wave as he kicked the chest in question. 'Hm. Just a set of twin blades. Maybe I could give these to Alkaid if she doesn't have a good enough set already.' Haseo pondered for a moment before turning to Shino and Bo.
"Good job, guys. We're going to go back to town to recoup. Are you guys up for another round?"
"Yeah!" Bo happily beamed at Haseo.
"Yes, I could do another area." Shino smiled sweetly.
"Good, then it's settled."
Going back to the warp gate, Haseo warped to the Netslum with Shino and Bo before he stretched his arms over his head and tilted his neck from side-to-side. "Haseo…I don't mean to be a pain, but could we stop by Mac Anu before we leave?" Bo asked as he took Haseo's hand into his own. "I need to talk to Dr. Kepel."
"Yeah, sure. I need to stop by Mac Anu as well. Gotta talk to Bikman. Hopefully I've passed out enough flyers to get them off of my back." Haseo gave a laugh at this as he scratched at his face.
The memory of Bikman chasing Haseo around Mac Anu yelling about handing out more flyers so they have more models was not a pleasant one. So, Haseo ran around slapping people with flyers all day yesterday.
Once Haseo did what he needed to in Canard and he restocked any items he, Bo, or Shino needed, the three of them warped to Mac Anu from the Netslum.
Mac Anu was lively, livelier than it had been in recent months actually. With AIDA and Cubia no longer a threat people were logging back on again. Mac Anu felt like it had been almost a year ago when Haseo logged on for the very first time. It made him smile.
Still, he'd miss the times he'd log in to find Silabus stalking around the chaos gate on the prowl for newbie players.
"Oof- sorry!" A young girl bumped into Haseo. She quickly bowed.
"Shiv! Come on! I don't want to be late!" Another young girl cried out from the crowd and Shiv smiled.
"I'm coming, NeZe!" The girl swiftly made her escape and Haseo shook his head as he watched her scamper.
Yeah, this place was definitely more lively than usual.
Together, he, Bo, and Shino walked out of the dome of Mac Anu. Usually this would be the part where Bo and Shino would run off to do their own thing, but the two of them were in conversation and just casually walking down the long path to the heart of Mac Anu. Haseo originally was going to turn and warp away to Bikman's location.
But he stopped short of the warp point when something caught his eye just at the end of the bridge. Something green.
Haseo stopped and swerved from the warp gate. For a moment he wondered if it was just someone with the same color pallet as Silabus as this person was at a distance and walking away from them with their back turned.
But then he saw a brown swirly ponytail…
'Is it him?' Haseo's heart rate increased as he started walking towards this person. He thought about Atoli and how her make and character model was so similar to Shino's it was insulting to him. Had someone accidentally recreated Silabus's character? It was a possibility after all…
But…
The sheer amount of green…
Haseo picked up the pace.
"Huh? Haseo?" Bo called out when Haseo jogged passed him and Shino.
Closer Haseo got, which wasn't hard because the other person was walking. Looking around. Soaking in the sights. Haseo sped up into a sprint when he couldn't take it anymore.
That was when the player stopped and turned. No doubt hearing the rush of Haseo's footsteps approaching him.
This was just in time for Haseo to slam into him full force. Haseo hadn't meant to, but all of his emotions struck him at once the moment he saw those familiar brown eyes. He had jumped just a little and it caused him to gain air.
The sheer force Haseo accidentally put behind his hug knocked Silabus right off of his feet. For a moment the two of them almost seemed to have floated in the air before they both crashed to the floor.
Haseo blinked harshly as he quickly recollected his bearings. "You- you! Do you know how- worried I was!?" Haseo finally yelled at Silabus. Silabus only looked at him with wide eyes, one of his fists raised in a striking position. but not moving from the air. Then a faint pink blush tinting across his nose and cheeks. His mouth pressed tightly into a thin line like he was trying not to laugh. Well, it failed because, be it nerves or other wise, Silabus laughed.
'Holy crap his laugh… has it always been cute?!' Was a thought Haseo had before he turned a little indignant. "Wh-What's so funny?!" He demanded. His own blush skittering across his face now no doubt.
"I-...I didn't recognize you!" Silabus then chortled. He placed both of his hands over his face as his laughter almost seemed to have increased. "You don't understand, Haseo! I thought you were a stranger! I nearly…" He trailed off into a fit of giggles and he didn't need to finish, because Haseo knew exactly what he was going to say. 'I nearly punched you.'
A different set of giggles made Haseo turn his head towards Shino and Bo. Both characters had hands over their mouths while they were laughing at him. It was at that moment did Haseo realize just how they landed. With Silabus directly beneath him, that's how. A sight to behold. In fact, if Haseo was right some passerbyers were taking screenshots-
He jumped to his feet in record time. "Heh…" He looked down at Silabus, who was still on the ground, peeking at him from between his fingers now. The blush on his face visible even through his gloves. Haseo then offered his hand for Silabus to take. "Sorry about that…" he could only whisper, his blush no doubt matching Silabus's at this point.
"A lot has happened since I was gone, huh?" Silabus swiftly changed the subject as he took his hand back.
"You have no idea!" Haseo smiled before giving out an awkward laugh.
"I think…we should give these two some time alone, Bo." Shino then said warmly.
"Yeah, I agree, see you later, Haseo!"
Bo left the party.
Shino left the party.
The two then swiftly walked away, but not everyone had. Some wanted to linger around, much to Haseo's annoyance. "C'mon. Let's go somewhere a little less crowded." Haseo instructed.
"Right!" Silabus grinned joyfully and Haseo felt his chest swell. God, how he missed that smile.
Haseo decided to go to the most secluded area he could think of in Mac Anu. The ship in the harbor. Nobody ever boarded or thought to just hang around and talk. So, that's how the two of them sat on the floor of the ship cross-legged to just talk and catch up.
"So, Canard moved again-" Haseo said.
"I know, to Breg Epona, I tried to go there but I don't think my key is working-"
"Actually, it moved out of bounds. It's hard to explain. I'll take you there when we're done talking. I'm sure Gaspard is manning the shop, he'll be delighted to see you again."
"So, Gaspard is still running the shop! I'm so happy to hear that! I thought for sure he might have stopped because I couldn't find him in any main town!"
"It was touch and go with Gaspard for a while." Haseo explained while he moved back to lean on his hands. "I wasn't sure if he was going to stay after you fell into a coma, but in the end he stayed, and I couldn't be more proud of him."
"Hm." Silabus smiled at this just the same as Haseo. "That's good… The emails I got once I woke up…I was so scared he stopped playing. The funny thing…Haseo…I was there." Silabus whispered, his voice turning serious now.
"You were there?"
"Yeah…it all felt like a strange dream- not even a dream, like I was having a dream but my eyes were open the whole time. Sometimes I would hear voices. I'd hear your voice a lot, but mostly I'd hear my little sister… still, I was there sticking close to Gaspard when I was 'conscious' so to say.. I obviously don't remember anything. I…I can only remember a few scant details. Him leveling up like crazy and then him…" Silabus trailed off as he looked at his hands in his lap. "Haseo…did they allow PKing in towns? Or weapons in towns?"
"Yeah, they allowed both." Haseo blinked in shock.
"Gaspard…I think he almost PK'd someone, but I can't be sure. I remember wanting him to stop…but I don't remember anything after that." Silabus confessed with a sigh. "Maybe it was all a dream, because…Gaspard PKing someone? That's silly, right?" He nervously laughed while scratching at the back of his head.
Haseo frowned as he thought about it. 'He leveled up to an insanely high level, the highest level one can be right now. Did Gaspard do all that leveling just to try and PK someone?...No…'
"..." Haseo shut his eyes. "I don't know."
Silabus frowned and shifted in his seat.
"Okay, now it's my turn. What took you so long to come back?" Haseo inquired desperately trying to change the subject to something else.
Silabus scratched at the base of his neck before he looked at Haseo. "Do you want the truth? Or do you want something Silabus would say?"
"..." Haseo inched closer like Silabus was going to tell him a big secret. "The truth."
"..." Silabus sighed heavily and his shoulders slumped like a giant weight was suddenly lifted. "Suki." He then said. "She's so scared of me falling back into a coma. Not only that, but between everyone welcoming me back in school-" He started to list off on his fingers. "-Getting my cat back from my RA, my stepfather harassing me, my mother harassing me, my grandmother not wanting me to play until I know it's safe, trying to catch up on my studies that I missed…it's been a mess. And don't get me started on my therapy sessions!" Silabus hung his head now. "I'm exhausted." a comical puff of air left his mouth as he shut his eyes.
Haseo leaned his head down so when Silabus opened his eyes they were face to face. "What would Silabus have said?"
"Probably some B.S. about studies and only studies."
Haseo gave a smile as he grabbed at Silabus's hand. He then interlocked their fingers. Silabus responded in kind. "Given the fact that you said her name out right. I'd say Suki gave me away?"
"She did." Silabus smiled. "I'm not upset that you've come to see me. If anything I'm impressed. And…uh…Thank you, for protecting Suki from my stepdad."
"God, he's a dick-"
"He is!" Silabus threw his head back while he exclaimed this out loud. "But uh… I do need to say. When I'm online…I'm strictly Silabus. Online: Yuuichi and his mess of a life. He doesn't exist."
"I understand… though, Silabus you know-" Haseo swallowed hard. This felt weird. His chest felt tight while his hands shook against his controller. He was staring directly at Silabus. Those big amber colored eyes staring him down, urging him to continue. "If you'd let me…I'd like to ge-"
He didn't get to finish when a shortmail popped up cutting him off completely. He was tempted to ignore it, but then he saw who it was from.
Haseo! Tanu is in Mac Anu and he's chasing me again! Can you please come and help!? We're in the central district! Please hurry!
Haseo puffed out in irritation. "Ah, dammit!" He cursed before standing.
"What's wrong?" Silabus inquired as he got to his feet just as well.
"Tanu is chasing Gaspard-" Haseo turned towards Silabus and saw Silabus grinning like a mad man. "-Oh god, that's scary..."
"Let me deal with him…" Silabus whispered practically shaking with want in his voice. His fingers pressed together in a point in front of his mouth.
"Heh… have at it. Gaspard is in the Central District."
Haseo barely finished his sentence before Silabus hopped off of the boat. Haseo had to run to keep up with his friend. Silabus bolted for the nearest warp gate and Haseo was just surprised on how fast his friend could actually run. Silabus slapped the warp gate and was gone in a second with Haseo not too far behind him.
Oh, how Silabus was waiting for this moment. He just didn't think it'd come so soon.
It didn't take long for Silabus to find Gaspard and Tanu.
Tanu had Gaspard up against a nearby wall. Shoppers and shopkeepers alike really not caring as Gaspard cried for help. They just kept going about their day like nothing was happening.
Gaspard had his arms out against either side of the wall completely cornered. "Heh!" Tanu cackled as he took a threatening step forward. "I got you now, little brother! You know exactly what I want! Your member address! Give it to me!" He demanded cruelly to Gaspard.
Gaspard vigorously shook his head. "No! I refuse!" He puffed his chest out and tensed up in an attempt to make himself look bigger than what he was.
"That's not an option and you know it!"
"Yes it is!"
"Face it, little brother! Haseo's too busy to always protect you from me and that Silas guy abandoned you! No matter where you go, I'll be there until you give me what I want-"
Silabus squatted down next to Tanu in a heartbeat. "It's Silabus, actually-"
"GAH!" Tanu hopped back in shock when he saw how close Silabus was. "Y-You!"
Gaspard paused like he couldn't trust what his eyes were showing him.
Tanu went to make a step back, but Silabus snatched him by the collar of his cloak. Just to keep him in place not to pull him in. "Now-" Silabus kept his voice innocent as he put his finger to his mouth as if he were thinking. "Let's get something right, Tanu. I didn't abandon Gaspard. I wouldn't be so cruel as to do that."
Tanu let out several scared noises as when he tried to escape, Silabus only tightened his grip on Tanu's cloak preventing the beast from escaping.
Silabus kept the smile on his face the entire time he spoke."After all, someone has to protect him from you! Right, Tanu, because lest we forget-" Silabus leaned in now and stared Tanu down. Staring the beast directly into his soul if possible. "You have a bad habit of doing things people don't like and that's not nice, Tanu! But, if you're so desperate for a member address, I'll be more than happy to give you mine-"
"No!-"
"Are you sure-"
Tanu smacked Silabus's hand off of him and took off. "Leave me alone!" He ran like someone lit his tail on fire. In fact, Silabus was sure that's the fastest he's ever seen Tanu run from him. 'Okay…I might have been a little too intense there…' Yuuichi was the one to think this as he scratched at the back of his head.
That was when Gaspard took a cautious step forward towards Silabus. Silabus turned and beamed at his friend. "Gaspard!" He extended his arms out for a hug.
A second passed before-
"Waaaah!" Gaspard wailed while he ran for Silabus. The two hugged, and for the second time that day, Silabus was knocked off of his feet from the sheer force Gaspard put behind the hug. Only this time Silabus was still sitting upright and hadn't fallen completely on to the ground. "I wa-I-I-waaah!" Gaspard couldn't even form a sentence he was so overwhelmed.
"There. There. Take your time." Silabus hummed comfortingly as he patted Gaspard's head.
Gaspard wiped his tears. "I didn't think you were ever coming back!" Gaspard finally managed to say with a sharp gasp.
"Oh, Gaspard. I told you! I'm not quitting The World! Not until the day they shut the servers down!"
Gaspard let out a soft sob at this as he rested his head against Silabus's chest. That was when Haseo squated down. "I can already see the fan art of this on the fourms-" He mumbled before wrapping the two of them up in a group hug. He was squished in the middle while Silabus and Gaspard's faces were squished up against his on either side.
Was it fate that led Atoli and Kuhn to them only moments later when they were all back on their feet? Aura? Or was it a busy body G.U. leader with too much time on his hands now that AIDA was dispersed? Haseo would never know.
"Kuhn wait-!" Silabus hardly had time to react when Kuhn body slammed into him and was knocked down for the third time that day. This one clearly hurt a little more than the others. Silabus laid there, swirls in his eyes for half a second before he came back to them.
"You punk!" Kuhn gasped out before hugging him tightly and hoisting Silabus to his feet. Silabus gasped in slight shock at being lifted so easily. His legs curled up behind him for a moment the air before he put them back down on the ground. "I was…I was so worried…" Kuhn whispered as he kept his arms wrapped around Silabus for a few more moments. Then he finally let Silabus go.
"I'm sorry. It just happened-"
"I know…I know. I'm just glad you're back!" Kuhn flashed Silabus a shaky smile.
"Silabus…" Atoli was the gentlest out of all of them as she simply approached with her arms raised like she wanted a hug. Silabus was more than happy to comply with this. The two of them shared a simple embrace rocking side to side. "I'm so glad you're back! You were gone for so long, I was getting worried!"
"I know. I'm sorry, but I'm back now!"
"Mmmm!" Atoli squeezed and looked like she was trying to lift Silabus up, as Kuhn had moments ago, but she wasn't as strong as Kuhn. The most she did was lift him up like a centimeter.
Silabus laughed a gentle laugh at this.
Canard was finally back together and now Haseo was satisfied.
Yuuichi gave a loud yawn as he scratched at the back of his head. The sun just barely rising through his blinds. He shuffled quietly through his apartment and over towards his coffee pot. 'I've got so much planned for today.' He knew Haseo wanted to take him leveling up with Alkaid as both of them were extremely underleveled compared to everyone else. With Alkaid being in a coma for four months and Silabus being in a coma for two months it left little room for leveling…
Both have been back for a little under a month now and have been slowly inching their way up there with the rest of their friends.
He rubbed at his eyes to try and get any remaining sleep out. He then yawned again as he clicked his coffee pot on. Right as the coffee pot sprang to life; Mochi jumped on the counter.
"Good morning, kitty." Yuuichi smiled as he kissed Mochi on the nose. Mochi purred and lightly batted his right paw against Yuuichi's face. "Okay, okay." He knew exactly what his cat wanted. Food.
So, Yuuichi reached down for the food under the cabinet. Mochi started yowling the instant the bag rustled. Mochi was at his feet in a moment and rubbed himself against Yuuichi's legs while Yuuichi carefully walked around his cat to fill up his bowl.
Mochi started to swiftly eat the moment Yuuichi started to pour the food. Once the bowl was full, and mochi distracted, Yuuichi turned towards his coffee pot that was now done brewing.
He poured the hot drink into a mug, only thinking of the mug he lost (had to throw out) because nobody noticed it sitting by his desk and the coffee sat untouched for two months. Yuuichi had no choice but to throw the mug out. Oh well. It is what it is.
Sitting at his desk, Yuuichi stretched his arms above his head before he grabbed his M2D and placed it over his head.
He had just logged in when he saw he had one new email waiting for him in his inbox.
"Oh?" He thought as he grabbed his drink. He was blowing on the coffee to cool it for a moment before he took a cautious sip. It was as he took this sip did he go into his inbox.
To: Silabus
From: Haseo
Subject: Promise.
There were no words in this email. Only a greeting card. A card that made Silabus spit his coffee in shock. Hot coffee dribbled down his lips and into his lap as he used his hand to try and catch the liquid.
The greeting card showed Death Grunty with Sila Grunty both clearly in wedding attire. With Death Grunty in a tux and Sila Grunty in a wedding dress.
Dear Silabus,
Together Forever. A promise.
It was a shock to see Sila Grunty after so long. It made Silabus wonder if Sila Grunty was still in The World, and if each grunty changes depending on who gets the card.
'Wow… wow!' Yuuichi brought his hands to his face as a blush spread throughout his whole face. 'This is…is a marriage proposal for The World basically….'
Yuuichi sat back in his chair as he stared at the greeting card in slight shock. Then, with shaky hands, he quickly sent an email back to Haseo.
To: Haseo
From: Silabus
Subject: Re: Promise
I- wow! I just can't believe it! Yes! Of course! I'll be waiting in Mac Anu!
Yuuichi couldn't have logged on fast enough.
His hands were shaking the entire time. Silabus was in the Netslum. and he quickly turned his back to the city in order to warp to Mac Anu.
When he got to Mac Anu only seconds later.
There, Haseo stood, his back turned to Silabus for only a second. He then turned around. "Silabus…" Haseo breathed out as he approached his friend. He then smiled at Silabus. His smile was gentle and it left Silabus completely breathless. "Just… let me speak, okay?"
Silabus nodded almost numbly as he looked at Haseo. His gentle face, those soft eyes and kind smile that could melt any heart.
"Okay… whew…" Haseo exhaled some air from his lungs before he started. "Silabus, when we first met…I found you to be… annoying…."
Silabus felt his face fall for a moment. "Haseo-"
Haseo seemed to have realized his mess up; because he quickly waved his hands in front of his face. "I'm not done! I swear!"
Silabus couldn't help it, he laughed. "Okay. I'm sorry." He blushed while urging Haseo to continue.
"Okay.. well,... Then you… well, you fell into a coma and… Silabus, I meant every word that day… I need you. but … then something incredible happened. I actually met you. The real you. Yuuichi Morino… I know you told me that you keep online and offline separate and I get it. Really, I do, but… Yuuichi-" Haseo threw one of his hands out for Silabus- no…for Yuuichi to take. "I never got to finish what I was going to say back then on the boat. Yuuichi, if you'd let me… I'd love to get to know you, the real you!"
"Y-You actually want to know about … me?" He couldn't help but gasp. "I'm a mess, Haseo-"
Haseo reached over and clasped both of his hands against Silabus's right hand; making him blush furiously.
"Not to me. Silabus, you're so interesting! And I want to know more about the fourteen year old who threatned to beat his stepfather with a baseball bat. Or about all those little white scars across your knuckles-" Yuuichi ran his hand over his knuckles in reflex. "Or even about how your broke your nose!" Silabus knew his eyes went wide in shock. It was just so much to take in at once that he couldn't help it and it caused Haseo to back down.
Haseo gave a breathy laugh as his smile dropped only half an inch. "I… sound crazy…" He realized before dragging a hand across his neck. "This all sounded so much better in my head. I'm…I'm sorry…"
"No! No…" Silabus reached over and regrabbed Haseo's hands into his own. "I'm sorry. It just startled me how much you knew!" Silabus gave his own breathy and shaky laugh. "I've…I've never had anybody call me…Yuuichi… interesting before."
"Well… you are. You are one of the most interesting people I've met because… you could have easily been a PK with your childhood and past, but instead you chose to be one of the nicest people I've ever met…"
There was a moment of silence as the two of them just stared at each other.
"...Okay…" Silabus whispered as he reached up to touch Haseo's cheek.
Haseo blinked. "Okay?" He asked in a soft, almost disbeliving voice.
Silabus smiled giddy with excitement. "Okay! I've never been with another boy before but… I find you interesting just the same, Haseo!" His face heated up as Silabus emulated this just the same.
Haseo laughed. "I've never been with another boy either, so this will be an experience for both of us…" His own face turned red at this. Both boys shared an awkward little laugh while they blushed. "C'mon." Haseo took Silabus's hand. "The others are waiting!"
"This is going to shock a lot of them. No doubt." Silabus chortled as the two of them walked hand and hand to Hy Brasail where they would 'get married.' to one another.
A shock to their friends it was. Was it because they got together and almost everyone thought Haseo was going to be with Atoli? Or was it because Silabus was forced into a dress?
He didn't know.
Dress or no dress, Silabus was still more than happy to prove his strength by picking Haseo up bridal style at the very end.
It was a good day all and all. One neither Silabus nor Yuuichi was expecting and honestly? He couldn't wait for the many adventures still to come!
