This is a prologue to the Mega Man of A.R.M.O.R series. This is not to be confused with "Drama on A.R.M.O.R Island", which was the trilogy of old drafts that's now scrapped for several problems it had with pacing/characterization/etc.. The chapters in this episode in particular are not in linear-progression.

Important notes: Apart from OCs, all characters are from Mega Man Classic. Mega Man X and other sagas/sub-series/timelines are mostly ignored. Be warned of creative liberties on the source material. This is not intended to express fetishes.

Story 1 Part 1: Partial Context

The Robot Masters have been oppressed ever since their invention, as the humans who were responsible for their existence greatly misunderstood and abused them. Dr. Albert Wily was the worst oppressor, using their artificial bodies to his advantage by mind-controlling them so they could commit crimes against humanity without their will or conscience.

But, unlike the Demi-Robots that they evolved from, they have souls. They started their lives not having free will and having to obey the laws of robotics. Then, most got hacked by Dr. Wily into purposefully breaking the rules and serving for evil. But as they evolved, and liberated from mind-control, they eventually awoke.

Now they have similar functions to humans; they have individual free will, the functions to use food and sleep to charge their batteries, softer skin with nerves to feel, the senses to taste, see, smell, hear… But the humans didn't know. They stayed as second class in Japan, despite their equal minds.

Story 1 Part 2: A.R.M.O.R Equipped

It was until King, the one who dared to object to the overlords, sailed through the Pacific Ocean to find undiscovered land. It took his crew several months of travel, but they eventually found it. A faraway continent they could keep hidden from the entire human race, like a scientific-yet-magical North Sentinel Island.

His crew used their supernatural magic to hide the island, with the opaque side of the borders' one-way-windows appearing as a blank ocean to the human mortals.

And then, they shipped most of the Robot Masters in secret, more and more. They built towns while keeping nature intact, and crowned King the rightful founder.

It was then, the Autonomous Robot Master Operated Republic began.

Story 2: Mega Man, the Assassin with Reason

Before that, Mega Man was the one of the only Robot Masters that was respected by the humans. They still treated him as lifeless, but not always as a slave. He had chivalry for both species, keeping them together and following their orders.

He was sweet, yet traumatized. He didn't like having to liberate them as they were hypnotized, as it involved 'killing' them. He never even met most of them outside of mind-control, and he never saw them after their defeat, so he assumed they were never coming back besides being stolen again to only continue their evil, unconscious state. The humans never told him they would be revived as their true selves, so layers of sadness, guilt and hatred grew as he had to clear the incidents and watch them seemingly die.

He would often hide his true feelings, cleaning his home laboratory to cope and spending alone time self-reflecting. In a way, he got it the worst.

It was until 'the awakening', the time where the entire species was evolved enough to be mentally-liberated, did the melancholy turn into anger.

He was forced to fight thousands of his own kind, misinterpreting the museum of replicas as displays of their corpses.

Story 2 Part 2: The Realization

He woke up the next day with his casual cleaning schedule. He kept his usual chivalry around his family, and the truth was successfully hidden…

During that, the Second Numbers and Bass had all discovered that their father was killed in his sleep. They all knew who it was just by chance, but they didn't object to it as they were no longer willingly evil.

Later, though, as he got his free time, he escaped to the museum again. As he walked through the displays, he let out the emotion he had hid from everyone. He cried his eyes out aggressively, with repeating thoughts of him being a fraud and a murderer.

He longingly looked through the descriptions, telling of their personalities and respective incidents, wishing they were alive and well without having to be mind controlled out of the displays.

His screams and cries were so loud, the visitors looking for him could hear it through the walls. While he bawled and vented to himself, some of the many robots he presumed dead had arrived. They entered and surrounded him, with worried and confused looks.

He turned around on his melancholic collapse to see the crowd of alive former-foes, conscious as they were before they 'met' as possessed villains. Then, behind the circle of sympathetic patrons, King entered the museum and made way to the front.

Mega Man: "I… thought you all died… Y-your c-corpses are on the walls…"

King: "Fear not, Mega Man. The models within the Museum are all replicas for display. You saved us all, beyond just this crowd, and we'll save you in return. Come with me, everyone."

Mega Man: "B-but… Wh-why-..."

Before he could ask, his little body was picked up by the armpits like a kitten. They snuck out again, with him incredibly confused along the way.

They met at the sea, where they explained to him the destination. Though Mega Man had a strong belief of keeping the robots and humans in harmony, having a history of protesting for the ideal, he had been weakened down to just accepting the move.

They're separating, and so the Wily Wars can come to a happy ending.

Story 3 Part 1: The Undocumented Faraway Past

Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away… The Xenodroid Wars occured.

On one side, was the side of Sunstar and Ra Moon, the Stardroids. They were named after the planets.

And the other, the side of Apollo and Luna, the Constellationdroids. They were named after the constellations.

They were in constant warfare, bittersweetly competing; half for genuine hatred, half just to prove they're the superior side. They both grew so powerful, then, that entire celestial bodies were weaponized and/or destroyed.

It ended when the two sides had gotten tired of trying to kill each other, and bittersweetly decided to rest as the immortality grew tedious. It wasn't until 20XX, where they were reborn with only a fraction of that former memory and power to destroy Mega Man on behalf of Dr. Wily. But, like all the other Robot Masters, they were improved and liberated.

Not much is known about the conflict, as none of the humans were ever aware of it during or after, and most of the participants were destroyed beyond repair. Mainly, what beings built them and what specific events happened. Fortunately for both sides, though, their trauma was manageable with each other uniting.

Story 3 Chapter 2: Ra Shadow Man, the Mysterious Demon

The one with the most knowledge of the wars is Ra Shadow Man, who was a Kuiperdroid(minor-league soldier) of the Stardroid side. He got his rebirth started off violently, mind controlled like most of them. But, after liberation, he continued to be filled with loyalty to his previous life's honor code.

When Ra Moon was revived in his historical Earth base, he was repossessed, and so came Ra Moon's attempt to extinct humanity and robotics of Earth. Ra Moon was destroyed successfully by Mega Man, in the greatest victory of his entire life.

But Shadow Man was so torn apart in the process, both mentally and physically, that it took a long while for him to be revived in both aspects. Even when he was repaired, his liberation brought guilt and anger now that he returned to his senses. He didn't work for anyone, living by himself and injuring anyone who dared cross him.

Humans and robots alike didn't understand him, and little was known of him as he kept mostly silent. His inner rage and struggle kept on, as he wandered nomadically through Japan.

Eventually, he was broke from refusing human employment, and he had to find his family for support. A fellow Kuiperdroid soldier, Ra Sensei, who responded to his trauma with more melancholy than rage, understood him but couldn't give much mental help. Regardless, he taught him to use his magical/supernatural powers in ninjitsu, which he learned from his more passive experience in Japan.

There were four other soldiers to stay with them, but only in body. They had similar design motifs, but were more like humanoid pets with no experience or self-fulfilling potential in battle. They both learned to take care of these four quadruplet babies, though only out of Ra Sensei's obligation.

Eventually, they united with some of the Third Numbers as allies; Top Man, Snake Man, and Gemini Man. Only Gemini Man was another Xenodroid, paired with Gemini(who had no "Woman" suffix given by Wily) on the Constellationdroid side, but they tried their best to understand them as much as they could. They never truly got that they were in severe mental stress, due to them being so secretive, but they weren't trying to be insensitive.

Story 3 Chapter 3: Yogurt, the Star-Bingled Praiser

When that band of Third Numbers and Ra Sensei's family visited the moon, they saw another Kuiperdroid that had been left behind in the stardust.

Her name was Ra Yogurt Tybee(name relating to the bacterial-fermented dairy product and fomerly-bombed island off the coast of Savannah, Georgia respectively is most likely coincidental). The energy-starving, weak woman was also traumatized, but mainly by being abandoned and stuck on the moon's harsh landscape with only a glimpse of nature far out of reach.

She did have a vague memory of the conflicts, though mostly forgotten. She was once rebuilt by a French astronaut after the fact, but they forgot to bring her to Earth. Regardless, it gave her a strange mix of Franco-Xenodroid background that wasn't all that documented.

She was given the formulaic name "Nudibranch Woman" by them for her resemblance and particular liking to nudibranchs and other kinds of snails and slugs when she learned about the animals of Earth. But, they often just called her Yogurt anyway, since it was easier to say and more recognizable.

It was also fitting, as then they had evolved the ability to eat to regain energy, and she enjoyed it as it distracted her from her traumatic thoughts. They didn't know much about how it worked, so they let her eat all she wanted if it helped her cope and move on. Oddly, she started to change shape, which made her confused and worried for a second. Regardless, she kept going when they accepted her, but she's still self-conscious about being more plus sized than other women.

On a more important note, Shadow Man realized how their kindness was a good thing. Yogurt, especially, as she let them vent to each other about all kinds of misfortunes they remember. They related to each other, and since they were good-girl-and-bad-boy, they started to feel strange things.

As they individually told Top Man, Snake Man, and Gemini Man, both in secret of each other, the three played along and explained to them that they fell in love. They hooked them up, and they awkwardly did so in mutual confusion of what the concept of love even was. They didn't feel it until then, but they shyly accepted.

Shadow started protecting Yogurt back physically, in return for her humor, understanding, and affection. She couldn't fight well, not having any magic power left besides fusion potential and being incredibly overweight from comfort-eating, so he felt sudden sympathy for her weakness. The love was making him a completely different person from before; more struggles to figure out mostly by themselves.

Yogurt and Shadow decided, when it was time they knew decently enough about this new planetoid home, they would live together. Nobody would set up a wedding for them, which is still lamented by both, but they're happy to be together in loving safety anyway.

They still have many fears and struggles with their past, but at least they're alone together. They Live( Laugh Love) in a society.

Extra OC Story 1: The Strange Robot Masters from Europe

The Centaur Numbers were made in Europe, of secret origin. As their name suggests, they all have abnormal anatomy resembling the top half of a humanoid and the bottom half of an animal. "Taurfolk" is often a collective term used by themselves and outsiders, outsiders being "Bipeds". They used to live in Europe, of course, mostly in the Slavic and Balkan regions.

When they heard of ARMOR Island, they all collectively decided to travel there to seek a place of peace and understanding. They were accepted, but the structures there didn't accomodate for the numbers' bodies(as well as the ones outside their line). They got stuck and hurt by interiors, the mermaids relied on land-travelling partners and vehicles, they stood out in crowds even more than the literal aliens, and they overall didn't feel welcomed.

So, as a solution, they all demanded an autonomous land for them to live in and help each other. They originally did it without the Armorian government's knowledge, building in the middle of a forest(by a lake for the mermaids to move freely in). But, their progress convinced the government to make their autonomy recognized, so began the protected region of the Taurfolk Commune.

Extra OC Story 2: Pickett Wizard, the Bastard

Picwiz was made somewhere in the United States of America, but moved to ARMOR Island through trespassing.

Back then, he caused a lot of trouble with his creators and nearby civilians. He was also obsessed with geeky things like roleplaying games and TV shows. He was a cartoony nuisance, with not much to note about.
