AN: Rated K. Prompt: You kissed her?/ Once.

/

"You kissed her!" Lorelai is shocked, he's always denied it.

"Once!" he nearly shouts, but he quickly amends to "actually, she kissed me."

"How did that happen?" she asks, her question dripping with disbelief.

"My reflexes were dulled by Founder's Day punch," he insists, in full-on defense mode, trying to assure her that he'd never initiate a kiss with Crazy Carrie.

"Was it under the bleachers?"

"Yea," he huffs, "I was hiding from the town, but I wanted to drown my sorrows in the punch so I was under the bleachers, and she cornered me."

"I can't believe you've been lying all this time." Her lips in a tight, ornery grin. "You gaslight-er, you."

"Well, there was no way in hell I was going to admit it. It's embarrassing. And she exaggerates." He can't believe he even told Lorelai. He's denied it so long, he's certain that most the town believes him over Carrie. Lorelai definitely believed him until now.

He gets up from the couch to get another beer, hoping this will end the conversation. But of course it won't, not with Lorelai. She follows him to the kitchen, "That's true, she calls it "The Night," like you had an illicit affair."

"No, no, no, there was no affair, no nothing!" he waves his hand with intent, signaling "nothing" then twists the cap off a bottle and takes a swig, "She cornered me, laid one on me, and I pushed her off and ran." He shudders at the memory.

She grabs the bottle from his hand and takes a drink, thinking for a moment, then asks, "How long?"

"How long what?" He cocks his head a bit, both at the question and her theft of his beer.

"How long between her 'laying one on ya' and you pushing her off?"

"Oh, I don't know." Luke grabs a second bottle from the fridge and opens it.

"Did she use tongue?"

He about chokes, "I am not answering that, ugh!"

"Ha!" she points a finger in his face, and so giddy with this new information, she skips back to the living room "You totally made out with Carrie."

"No! I did not make out with her, she accosted me when I was vulnerable."

"I'm never going to let you live this down," she takes another drink, "oh boy, you better be prepared to buy my silence with coffee…and pie!"

"Aw geeze."
