Alrighty then! Welcome back to the next chapter! Hope you enjoy it!
I walked up to the main house of the farm that was located in the center. It was elevated aswell so people could see this checkpoint from miles away due to the flat terrain outside. Anyways I walked up the crooked steps to get into my house. I really needed to talk to my grandparents about this… not even they would believe I was the cause of all that. I walked into the house with a look that a parent would give to their misbehaving child. But instead of getting answers I just stood there as my grandmother sat behind my grandfather placing a reassuring hand on his back as he peered down at a note that sat on a table. I finally broke the agonizing silence. "What's that?" I asked, pointing at the note, confused what they were so worried about. They both turned to me clearly not sure what to say. "Well…" My grandmother started. "Your parents are dead." my grandmother looked at my grandpa with annoyance clearly mad he had put it so… straightforward. I didn't know how to react. On one end I wasn't close to them, on the other they were my parents. I broke into silent but noticeable tears. I didn't feel particularly sad but I definitely wasn't happy… maybe I was just shocked? I have no idea but… I wasn't sure what to say as my grandparents looked like they were preparing to tell me something even worse. What could be worse than that?! As I was tearing up I had caught a glimpse of something… someone? It was a figure, similar to the one I had seen in my dream but with a clearly horrified expression. The figure opened their mouth but the only word I heard was Arceous before the woman began backing away into a misty fog that was behind her once she was out of my sight I snapped back into reality.
My grandparents padded the seat next to them, motioning me to sit down. I took a seat and they began. "So your parents… were great people I have no doubt." My grandma said as she looked to my grandfather who it looked like was trying to find the right words. "Well… putting it bluntly like I always do… they were being hunted by an organization of wealthy pokemon trainers because of rare pokemon they had on hand. They died of what can only be described as natural causes and it wasn't made public but somehow this organization knew what had happened to them." My grandma raised the note that they had been reading high in the air. It was titled WILL. My grandma continued where my grandfather had left off. "Basically, they left the coordinates of these rare pokemon in this envelope and they also gave us any money they had." I didn't know how will worked to well, but wasn't it if someone died they put their wishes for what happened to any valuables down on paper and gave certain things to certain people? So they gave everything they had… to my grandparents? Maybe they weren't so bad. I don't know why… all of a sudden… I care about my parents who abandoned me. "I'm sure that you have noticed some weird stuff going on lately. but we obviously don't think that you did it so I think it's because of these "rare pokemon" your parents reference in this letter. And because of the news crew… that same organization that was after your parents necks are after ours aswell." Those words hit me like a train. My parents were… so… so selfish! They put their own valuables whilst knowing who was hunting those very valuables in my hardly functioning grandparents hands. "We- we need you to leave, Alex." My grandma held up a bag that had my name stitched into it that looked to be packed with a lot of pokeballs and food. I was stunned… but not stunned enough to yell "No! I can't just leave you guys here!" My parents looked at eachother. "We knew you would say that" My parents took out a white cloth that looked to be laced with a substance… no… they wouldn't. "What… what are you doing haha…" My grandfather simply inched closer to me. "I love you… ya know that?" That's the last thing he said before he slapped the cloth over my mouth and my world slowly went dark… my muffled screams barely being heard by even me.
When I finally came to my senses I was in a hospital looking room. The sound of beeping machines rang through the brightly lit room. The smell of medical alcohol also infiltrated my senses… that's one smell I've always hated… always makes me think of getting shots. I looked at the covers of my bed, remembering what had happened and I tried to jolt up from my bed, only to find I was practically unable to move. What kind of drug did they use?! The beeping on the monitor behind me was steadily picking up pace. My grandparents were in trouble! I tried to yell but all that came out was more of a gasp than anything. I let out a mental sigh and stopped struggling to get up. I'm sure my grandparents made it out of the house and are safe somewhere. They had to be safe. I looked over to the side of my bed where there was a bag with my name stitched into it. I recognized it as the one that my grandma had tried to give me. I remembered that there was food in it and then realized just how empty my stomach was. So, using all my strength, I wiggled to the edge of the bed and bit down on the strap of the bag, pulling it onto the bed. I unzipped it with my teeth and grabbed a plastic bag that had a ham sandwich in it. I bit the top off the bag and engulfed the sandwich with only a few bites. It tasted just like the ones my grandparents would get from a nearby pokemon academy… I would always ask them to get me one for my birthday. I teared up at the thought of them getting captured or worse. And then I once again pushed the thought to the back of my mind reminding myself that they would be fine… I was sure of it. I thought back to what my grandparents said about my parents. I was already over it… for some reason… I hardly felt anything I was drained. My heart rate monitor or at least that's what it sounded like had gone down to what I can assume was normal based on movies. The sandwich had helped more than I thought. I looked out at a window that was more the size of the wall and saw a lush jungle that practically made it impossible to see anything but trees. That brought up a question… where was I? Because I sure wasn't on route 201 anymore… maybe my grandparents dropped me off at a hospital nearby to make sure I recovered well. It was then that one of the pokeballs from my bag rolled out. But instead of the usual red a white color scheme it was purplish with lines of red at the top… a master ball? Did my parents give me these? No… there is no way they could have afforded that. Before My questions were answered the door was almost blasted off its hinges.
I was met with the worried face of a pale girl. She looked around 13-14 with light violet hair that went down to her waist and her eyes were the exact same color as her hair, contacts maybe? "Oh, thank Arceus, you're okay."I looked at her but all I could do was let out a laugh that definitely didn't sound healthy and I tried talking but all that came out was a dry sounding "thanks'' although I don't even know if she fully understood it. She shot me a worried glance and ran to the sink that I had failed to notice on the other side of the room. She grabbed a plastic cup and filled it up, carefully running back to me. "Drink up" She said, handing me the cup. I didn't have much of a way to tell her that I couldn't hold the cup. Somehow through my facial expressions she just knew what I was trying to convey and put the cup up to my lips. I turned beet red as I began sipping from the cup. I felt the cold water run down my throat. "Do you feel better?" She asked with a worried face. I let out a slightly more audible "yes" and she sighed in relief. You gave me quite the scare there! You were out for quite awhile!" "How long?" I asked with a better but still hoarse voice. "Well, a few days now I guess!" "What!?" I yelled so loud that my ears rang seconds after. "Uhhhh yeah… I found you on route 2 just lying there! Weird place for a three day nap wouldn't ya say?" sense of humor! Not the time. Still though… I was thankful she found me before a pokemon did. I tried moving and found it a little easier to do so so I decided to sit up but was quickly thrusted down as pains arose in my head. "You can rest, ya know, you seem like you're in a hurry to do something!" Well I was… but I wouldn't tell that to her. The door was already open and because I was preoccupied with this girl I didn't notice a figure approaching my hospital bed…
Sorry it took awhile to get the episode out! I just had to make some changes. Anyways if you have any name ideas I would love any suggestions! (for the girl). Also pokemon suggestions for Alex to have would be awesome!
Until next time!
