The moment he saw the scene play in front of him, Yuno had two choices. First, he could continue this fight with Zagred and try to force the devil to leave this world. Two, he would dive after Asta and save him from crashing to the ground.

The choice wasn't hard. Even if he took the time to give the devil a glare, he quickly dove after his boyfriend. The air rushing past him didn't matter. The thought that he was letting the devil escape didn't matter.

What mattered, was that Asta was falling to the ground at high speed. Even from the distance, Yuno noticed that his eyes were still open. But only barely. He could see that the other teen was fighting to stay awake.

The pain and the blood loss made it hard, he could see that. Yuno wasn't even sure if he would reach him in time, before the teen suddenly disappeared.

It had been one of Finral's portals. The older teen had opened one beneath Asta to catch him. But where was the other portal?

"Above you!" Finral yelled.

Yuno stopped in his tracks, still in the air, and looked up. Preparing himself, he caught the bleeding teen the second he came through the portal.

Asta was breathing hard, eyes slipping close every now and then. His head was falling back every other second. It looked like he was passing out every two seconds, only to wake up again.

The pressure he had put on his own wound had faded. Both arms only laying on top of his stomach now. Green eyes starred back at him. Just a moment ago one of those eyes had been red. They would have to talk about this.

There was a lot he had to explain. And a lot that Captain Yami and Charlotte had to say too. The time to keep secrets was over. He would have to know everything now. Otherwise, things could go into a very wrong direction.

"Sorry" Asta mumbled.

"What for?" Yuno asked, slowly returning to the ground where the others were waiting.

"For making you worry" he said.

Yuno sighed, feet touching the ground again. He kneeled, placing the blond teen onto the ground. If possibly, it was best to get a healer to them and not move Asta too much. Less movement was better right now.

"I should be apologizing for lying to you" he said.

Asta shook his head. "No" he chuckled. "Technically you didn't lie to me."

Technically he didn't, that was right. But Yuno still felt that there was a lot he hadn't told his boyfriend. A lot of things he should've said instead of shutting his mouth. It would've prepared Asta better.

It would've helped. Made things less difficult right now. And maybe it would've prevented a lot of things too. But Charlotte and Yami were right. Asta didn't deserve this. He was supposed to live a happy life.

A life where he wouldn't have to worry about these things. About devils in his life and what connection he had to them. He could've lived a normal life as a human. But things never turn out the way people want them to.

"I guess I'm going to have a long talk with Mom and Dad" Asta chuckled, before groaning in pain.

With a grim expression, Yuno moved his boyfriend's hands away from his stomach. The wound was deep. But if it was deep enough to make him die from blood-loss he didn't want to find out.

Finral had already vanished. Searching for a healer.

"Yeah. This is going to be a long day" he sighed.

It took him to long. Removing his robe, Yuno pressed it down on the teens stomach. It earned him another groan of pain. He'd have to wash it later. Not like he cared about that right now. What mattered, was that he slowed the blood flow as best as he could until a healer arrived.

"Is he still here?" Asta asked, eyes closed from exhaustion and pain.

Yuno looked up, around the whole area. The devil could be hiding somewhere between the trees surrounding them, but he doubted it.

"Seems like he left" he answered.

Asta hummed. Yuno had never felt so lost. For a moment he had thought he had lost everything. That Asta actually intended to help the demon. But he should've known better.

They haven't known each other that long. Only a couple of months. They didn't even go out yet. Sure, sometimes Asta would spend a night with him, or they would just talk during the afternoon. But other than that? Nothing.

Maybe he should do something about it before anything like this happened again.

"If you want to you can stay with me for some time" he offered.

Yuno didn't grow up with parents. Even if the father of the church did a good job, along with sister Lilly, it had always felt weird. He could always rely on them, Yuno knew that, but something had always felt off. Something he couldn't describe.

But Asta grew up thinking that Yami and Charlotte were his real parents. Finding out that they weren't, must feel weird.

The blond sighed, slowly relaxing his muscles even with the pressure on his stomach still present. He nodded. "Yeah, maybe that's a good idea. I want to talk with them first though."

The wind mage nodded. Of course. Just disappearing without saying anything would worry them. They would start searching for them. And even if the others explained, Yuno wasn't sure if they would leave him alone of come anyways.

Finally a portal opened, revealing Finral and two women. Obviously Finral brought more than just one healer. Asta wasn't the only one who had gotten wounds.

It was only then that Yuno noticed the aching pain in his body and the blood seeping from his left arm and the stinging sensation coming from his cheek. Probably just a cut, he told himself.

One of the girls sat down beside them. She didn't even question anything. The side they gave her must've been enough. She had fire healing magic. It was warm, different from Mimosa's, but good.

After a few minutes she nodded, allowing him to remove his hands from the wound. The blood was still there. Of course it was. Just because of the healers, the blood wouldn't vanish. He'd have to wash his robe later. The Captain would understand though.

It was just a piece of cloth after all. It had no real value. Except for the probably expensive material it was made out of.

"Okay" the healer finally said. "It should be good for now, but don't move too much in the next couple of days" she advised.

"Thanks" the blond smiled. The girl only nodded and went to help others.

Asta pushed himself up a bit, leaning his back against a rock. It still hurt, but way less.

"So, I suppose I'll be having a long talk with Mom and Dad" he chuckled.

Yuno raised an eyebrow. "You're still calling them that?"

The teen smiled brightly. "Of course! Maybe they aren't my birth parents, but they still raised me. And from a talk with Liebe, I know what really happened" he explained.

"Who's Liebe?" the wind mage asked in confusion. No one with that name had been involved in the fight or was even around.

Asta laughed, waving him off. "That's another story."

Yuno decided to let it go. Whoever it was, seemed to have given Asta a good talk. And somehow knew about everything. The teen thought that he was the only one outside of the magic knight Captains who knew the truth about Asta.

"Okay then" he breathed. "We should probably make our way back home. I bet that the others didn't expect us to be gone for so long."

Asta hummed and nodded. Even if he said that he wasn't angry at his parents, something seemed different now. He was a bit distant. But maybe it was because of what he had just found out about himself.

Being related to a devil made Asta part-devil himself. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but Yuno could imagine hundreds of things that would be better. And a ton that would be worse.

By now, Yuno knew his boyfriend very good. Good enough to say that he would only make profit out of it. He'd find a way to use it to his advantage. And that was good. The teen was strong enough to make it on his own if he had to.

"Let's give Finral a moment to breathe though. He looks like he's about to pass out" Asta chuckled, cutting through his thoughts.

Yuno looked over to the spatial mage. He couldn't remember that Finral did much, expect for a few minutes ago, where he caught Asta out of the air.

But he understood what Asta meant. The brunet tried to flirt with the girls. He wasn't surprised by that. By now, Yuno knew that Finral tended to flirt with almost every girl he met. Yuno didn't know if Finral was desperate or if he was easily impressed.

He sighed, leanings against the stone as well and closing his eyes. A few more minutes wouldn't hurt. It gave everyone the time to sort their thoughts and think about what just happened. The things they just learned.

"Sill wish you didn't find out" he muttered.

He felt Asta's gaze on him, watching with interest. "You didn't want me to know?" he asked.

"No-yes, I don't know" he sighed. "I didn't want you to find out like this."

Asta hummed. "That's why they asked you to keep an eye on me right? They didn't want me to know as well."

"Something like that" Yuno shrugged. "I don't know if they planned on telling you. I thought about it a lot though" he admitted.

A kiss on the check caused the taller teen to 0pen his eyes and looked over in surprise. Asta was a very calm person, but he expected him to be at least a bit angry. Especially at him. But he was met with a smile and half-lidded emerald eyes.

"I'm not angry, okay? I don't think there is anything you or my parent could do to make me angry" he said.

Yuno smiled back. That's right, that's how Asta was. One of the things why Yuno loved him. He sighed, leaning his head back against the cold stone.

However, there was still one hell of a talk ahead of them. And he was not looking forward to it.

Well, I have one more chapter done and another halfway. Let't hope I get to write more so I can stick with the weekly updates
