Cosmic Girl, the sister of Starman, was quietly enjoying a book while on her recliner couch. The third sibling, Venus, was on their laptop, typing away on a chat forum. "Don't you ever get tired of being on that computer?" said Cosmic Girl. "Nuh uh. I don't. And I'm talking to FRIENDS right now, so you should let me be!" Cosmic Girl closed and lowered her book, putting a bookmark in the page she left off.

"What happened to that boy you talk to? The one we gave the burger to. What ability did he gain?" Venus responded, "Huh? Oh, him. I dunno. He just ate it and asked why I asked him to eat it. He suddenly got better at music though, so something probably happened to him." Cosmic Girl said, "Those intruders Starman warned us about could be coming any second. Tell your friend to come over and figure out what his ability is, so he may defend us."

Venus stared Cosmic Girl dead in the eye and said, "Why is my friend getting dragged into this? Why can't Starman fight the intruders himself? He's pretty strong. Why can't we all just defend ourselves from them? We're pretty powerful, I think. Maybe we can even get Tararaboomdeay to fight them." Cosmic Girl thought for a while and said, "Starman wants to make sure none of us get injured. What you don't know is that these foes are- well, different. One of them was involved in killing our creators."

Venus' eyes grew wide. Immediately, they texted their friend. "Hey,,,,, Loretta,,,, come over. remember that burger u ate? it should have given u a magic ability thing, come rn." Her friend, Loretta, lived not too far from where she was. Although it was late, about 10:30 PM, he was wide awake. "u want me 2 come over?" he texted. He was chronically online, when he wasn't in school, he was writing his crappy fanfiction and texting.

Loretta said to himself, "Holy crap, Venus wants to see meee! I gotta go! Mom doesn't really care about me, so I'm sure she won't notice or care if I snuck out." He closed his laptop and opened the window in his room. His room was covered with an endless supply of posters and figurines, and his bed was themed after a show intended for 9 year olds.

He jumped out his window and began to run down the road to Venus' house. He would frequently stop and catch his breath, as he got tired rather easily. He eventually reached Venus' home, which had incredibly bizarre architecture, seeming more like a modern art piece than a house. Every other building on the block was abandoned and run down, which Loretta didn't question at all.

He knocked on the front door, and Venus answered. "Heyy! Come in." Loretta made his way inside, and Venus closed the door. "So, what is it you need?" he asked. Venus said, "Okay soo, remember the burger I gave you? You know how you got like, pretty good at making music after that?" Loretta, confused, said, "Uh, yeah. Why?"

Venus said, "Okay, try tapping your foot to a rhythm." "...What?" "Just- do it!" Loretta began to tap his foot, going along with the rhythm of an acid jazz song he enjoyed. Suddenly, he felt something crawling up his back. "Ick!" he yelled out. "Did- did something happen!?" exclaimed Venus. "Yes! There's something on my back!" exclaimed Loretta, "Ick- feels like an insect!" "Turn around! Lemme see it!" exclaimed Venus.

Loretta turned to behind, allowing Venus to see the creature which now appeared on his back. "THAT'S-" yelled Venus. "...WHAT? THAT'S WHAT!?" exclaimed Loretta. "THAT'S THE SNAIL BUG FROM EPISODE 2 OF NON SOMNIA!"
