BREAKING NEWS

The news reporter once again had forgotten that the camera had begun to roll, and so he quickly set his coffee down and read his lines. "Ah, sorry about that! Anyways- reports are surfacing that an animal long believed to have been a mere cryptid has now been spotted in Inkopolis! Reports say that a flock of 'Doo Wa Ditties' have been spotted flying over the towers of Inkopolis. This appears to be part of the much larger problem going on right now, which is the massive amount of birds who seem to be invading and destroying Inkopolis as we speak!"

Venus picked up their phone, which lay on the floor as it fell from their pocket. They quickly ran away from Yasuha, who was busy grabbing something from his backpack. As they ran, Yasuha branded 2 pipe bombs which he had taken from the backpack. He threw one at the Doo Wa Ditties, and another at Venus. Venus quickly dodged, and the pipe bomb simply rolled away. The pipe bomb tossed at the Doo Wa Ditties did blow up however, and it injured three of the birds, as well as Taka.

Taka fell to the ground, severely injured. Yasuha ran to him and fixed up his wounds as fast as he could, while Venus got further away. As Taka was getting fixed up, he told Yasuha, "Shit! They're getting away!" Yasuha asked Taka to calm down, saying, "I know, but I still need to fix up your leg! This pipe bomb really fucked up every part of you!" Taka exclaimed, "I don't care! My fuckin' leg can wait! But if Venus escapes, there's no guarantee that we'll be able to get near them again!"

Venus yelled, "SPACE COW-A-BOYYY-OY-OYYY!" As they ran. Immediately, a flock of birds flew towards Venus, picking them up and flying them away. Venus had gotten away from Taka and Yasuha. Taka slammed his fist on the floor and yelled, "Shit! They've gotten away! Now there'll be no way to find 'em and stop this madness!" Yasuha didn't seem too concerned with Venus getting away, in fact, it didn't seem as if he cared at all. He told Taka, "Actually, not exactly."

As Venus was on top of the birds, flying, they dialed Cosmic Girl. She picked up the phone, asking, "What is it, Venus?" Venus responded, "Heyy! I've basically taken care of Taka and Yasuha now!" Cosmic Girl exclaimed, "Eh? Really now!? You're kiddin'! Are they dead?!" Venus answered, "No- but they're stuck fighting birds until like- the end of time. Wasn't the goal for me to keep them away from Starman? Well, mission accomplished!"

Cosmic Girl exclaimed, "About time! Now Starman can get his ability and we can all get this over with!" Venus laughed and said, "Ha, yup!" As they laughed, they felt an odd sensation in their right back pocket. Venus stuck their hand in their back pocket to feel what was happening, and they pulled out a weird feeling object. Well, what they pulled out wasn't an object, but a living creature. And that living creature was holding a pipe bomb.

Venus yelled, "HOLY SH-" before blowing right up, in the middle of the night sky. They died instantly, and their phone was destroyed in the process as well. Cosmic Girl heard the explosion right before the call disconnected. She stood there, blankly staring at her phone. Then, she said, "V- Venus...? What happened? The phone disconnected- I heard a bang. Venus? VENUS!?"

The birds which had been tormenting Taka, Yasuha, and the rest of Inkopolis had now suddenly stopped. Instead of being vicious animals, the birds went back to their regular business. The Doo Wa Ditties all flew away, back to their homes in distant lands. Taka said, "Huh? Everything stopped. Did Venus deactivate their ability?"

Yasuha responded, "Yup. They're dead now." Taka asked, "Oh? How!?" Yasuha explained, "When I threw the pipe bomb at Venus, I missed. It just kinda rolled away, which was pretty embarrassing. Thankfully though, the tiny creature was still hiding inside Venus' pocket. I had it crawl out, pick up the bomb, and crawl back in." Taka smiled and said, "Yasuha! Ya sly dog! Thank fuck that they're dead, they did a lot of fuckin' damage. And were pretty annoying too..." Yasuha nodded his head in agreement as he stretched.
