Night had fallen over the City of Trollberg, the lights of the buildings had begun to come on, while a male, brown-haired figure stood before the stairs leading to the Library of that city. The wind was fresh and moved them, so he stayed in that position and with that, ordering his body to move, he went up the steps until he entered the building, finding that the place was already empty, except for some people who were finishing some school work and from there they would go back home.

Silence, books everywhere, grouped and numbered on their shelves as far as the eye could see. A moment's pause and then he saw that girl, a beautiful lilac-black haired girl, who was at the top of some moving stairs, returning some used tomes and from there he walked over to where she was.

- Am I late?.- The boy asked with a moderate tone in his voice, trying not to attract attention and to maintain a balance with respect to the silence inside the building.

The young woman instantly recognised this person and after finishing her work, she descended the steps to where he was standing. The brown-haired man was surprised to see her, his heart seemed to be pounding and even so, he tried not to get nervous, even at his age, being in his teens and having a beautiful librarian in front of him. He could neither ignore it nor reject that "spectacle". That figure that the lilac-black hair had, that very beauty that radiated from her, who could be foolish enough to leave her aside?

Immediately, he felt her hands on his shoulders, causing a slight blush to appear on his cheeks, while the other smiled at his arrival.

- Not at all, you're just in time, David.- Said the Librarian.- I was just about to close.

- All right, but...- At that moment, the boy paused to think of words that would sound appropriate in front of her.- Don't you have a meeting with the Witches?.- He asked and she shook her head.

- Not today, so you don't have anything to worry about.- She answered and from there he came a little closer, getting close to her face.- Hey, come with me to the roof, there's something I want to show you.- She asked and once he gave her a hand to close the Library, once the last visitors had left and everything was in place, the young man waited until she called him to go to that part of the building.

Inside, it was the deepest of silence, only his own breathing and footsteps could be heard as he made his way to Kaisa's desk. On it was a book with a bookmark inside, the title of which read "The Drowned World" by J. G. Ballard. He picked it up and examined its cover in great detail and noticed the image of water covering a city, in the Central plane was a highway and in the background could be seen three skyscrapers standing proud and being the bastion of Humanity in the face of the danger represented by that Future.

He remained focused on the literary work when he noticed someone approaching him, turning around and meeting Kaisa.

- Aww, I see you've taken an interest in that book.- She pointed to the object in his hands.

- Well, it's just that...I...hehehe, always...- The poor brown was cursing himself for being so shy, even as a teenager, it was hard for him to express himself in front of that girl and cold sweat was breaking out on his forehead. For her part, Kaisa was calm, serene, looking him straight in the face, which didn't seem to help the boy to appease that "storm" of fear and inner fears that was raging inside him.

He felt one of her soft fingers resting against his lips. Then, bringing it to her lips, gesturing for him to be "silent", she took his hands and led him to the stairs leading to the roof.

He wondered what it was that the young woman wanted to show him so much, he did not know the answer, he could only recognise one thing: it had to be something "very important" for them to ascend and from there, a few minutes later, the door that gave access to it opened, revealing a night of clear skies, the stars, the same that had been there for countless years, shone like the pearls of an Imperial Crown in the black firmament like the ink of a poet together with the moon by his side.

Once that had captivated his attention, David noticed that Kaisa was settling into a spot on the rooftop, sitting down gently and from there she asked him to join her. He swallowed, was this a dream, was this true? He shook his head to shake off these doubts and once he sat down next to her, he remained silent.

- It's a very beautiful night.- The librarian remarked, contemplating the Sky.- TThis is something I like to do when the place is calm.- She told him and that attracted his attention, while she pulled out the music player from one of her pockets, placing one earphone in her ear and passing the other to the brown-haired man.

He took it and from there, once settled, Kaisa turned the device on, playing a song she had on her playlist.

Immediately, she closed her eyes, while the music dragged her to unknown lands, Worlds or Planets that would never see the hand of Humanity, a place where only music was the way to express oneself, where there would be no inconveniences or problems such as disputes and senseless arguments. Yes, that was a World that would never exist, he recognised, there would always be good and bad things for people.

At the same time, David stood beside her, still, his eyes fixed on the Horizon, trying not to make contact with Kaisa's face, who turned away and he knew there was nothing he could do. In a single instant, her left hand rested on his, that inner heat again, that crimson blush "painting" her cheeks to their fullest extent. Why did that have to happen to her? It must have been embarrassing to go through such a moment, yet the girl was not disappointed, but lay back on the ground, looking up at the sky beside the brown.

- Have you ever thought that this world is a small world, David.- The lilac-black haired girl asked.

- I can't tell you if it's true or not, but...- He paused, swallowed saliva and then closed his eyes, letting himself be carried away by the music.- Maybe it's true.

- I believe that there is a "Magic", besides the one I have, but that it must come from the human spirit itself, because there is no incantation or spell that leads people to meet again just like that, but it is the very Nature of Human Beings that guides them towards their destiny. It is like moving forward on a board game, it all depends on who rolls the dice. These represent our actions, we are the ones who move by our will and freedom, but recognising what is right and what is wrong, as well as being aware of our actions and their repercussions in the Future.- She explained in detail, while the music continued with its rhythm.

David could not believe it, that was something surprising, so philosophical and at the same time it "echoed" in his person, since he had not shared much with the young woman, only her silence, so he turned his eyes to where she was.

- Yes, it is true. Many read the newspaper and are guided by their "Zodiac Signs", I think that also influences them and their way of moving forward. And this song...- She paused, it had caught her attention but she didn't know how to continue, "I think it's the "Bridge" that joins both ends of people who are separated, facing the dangers that life represent.- She said and that led to the girl nodding her head.

- You know. When I first met you, you were that tender, fearful but brave boy who would give everything for his friends and you never failed. I remember when you blushed that night we went after the "Sea Mice", a Witch never forgets something like that.- Kaisa pointed out, tapping him on the shoulder.

- Oh, that, hehehe, they were chasing me and you were moving with great elegance on that hoover, catching all those Sea Mice in a matter of seconds and I...I didn't do much.- He felt bad about himself but she grabbed his shoulders, looking him in the eyes.

- You didn't do anything? I don't want to hear anything like that again. You're worth a lot, as much to Hilda and Frida as to anyone else. You're a good boy, you know what you're doing, those who supposedly claim to "know you" don't really see the nobility in you, David. They have no right to tell you how you should be, nor to mould you as if you were clay: you must be yourself.- She gave that moral support to the boy, who had his mouth open and more so when he was near her.

Soon, the lilac-black-haired librarian ran her hands through the young man's hair, winking her right eye and with that, the brown-haired boy's heart seemed to beat like hell, almost jumping out of its place, the "ribcage". Could he resist this moment? Time seemed to slow down, step by step, little by little, the wind itself felt slow. What was it that was coming towards him? It seemed to be some kind of "Spell" but...there it was.

His hands rested on her waist. She went around the back of his neck and from there she felt the arrival of those soft lips that made contact with his. A second, two seconds, it seemed like an eternity to witness that approach, but when it came, it was as if some "spark" had occurred inside her. Her renewal grew and she rose up from the shadows, lying there, forsaken, powerless. Maybe it could be the "Zodiac Signs" that brought people together or not, but, for David, feeling that kiss from Kaisa was like the best moment of his life, a night he would never forget.

She looked up at him, stroking his hair, while she didn't let go of him for a moment. She broke away from his lips and pulled him to her breast.

- Don't ever think of yourself as worthless again, David. You are very important to everyone: your family, Hilda, Frida, even me. Remember, you're worth more than those ignorant people who treat you badly.- She held the lilac-black hair, giving him that support, and he looked into her eyes.

- Yes, you're right, Kaisa. I won't be stepped on again by anyone. I'm not worthless or anything. I'm worth it here too.- He swore and that led to a smile on her face, kissing again under that mid-winter night.

A night where they had made the beginning of their love under an icy moon and the stars that accompanied the firmament.

The end.

[Well, David's first teenage fic with Kaisa. I hope you like it, friends. Dedicated to Ficlover93. I may, sometime this year, release a David-Marra One-Shot (christened Jaeden by the "Hilda" fandom) but that remains to be seen.

See you around, Comrades and have a good start of the week, as well as the month of February].
