KC Minkus woke up next to her husband, Farkle. She turned over and wrapped her arm around his torso. He woke up and turned to look at her.

"Morning, Beautiful," he told her.

She lightly kissed him.

"Happy Father's Day," she told him.

They heard a knock on their bedroom door.

"Yes?" KC questioned, knowing it was her son.

"Can we come in?" Her 10-year-old questioned back to her.

"Give us a second," she replied.

"Yes Ma'am," he replied.

KC and Farkle both threw on some clothes. They both sat on the bed.

"Come in," Farkle told their children.

Aaron opened the door, and, holding his 3-year-old sister's hand, entered the room. He had a present in his hand.

"Happy Father's Day, dad," he said, as he held out the present.

"Yeah!" Brooklyn told her father.

"Thanks, Aaron," Farkle told his son, who he adopted 4, almost 5, years prior.

"It's from me and Brookly," he told his dad. Farkle unwrapped the present. It was a guitar humidifier with packets for change outs. "I used my money that Auggie's mom gave me for the little performances that me, Auggie, and Noah do sometimes at Topanga's."

"That money was for you," he told him. "You didn't have to spend it on me."

"I wanted to, dad," his son told him.

"Come here," he told his kids, opening his arms, kneeling in front of them. They embraced him. "I love you, guys."

"Love you too, dad," Aaron replied.

"Love you," Brooklyn said.

KC smiled at her family. She looked at her son. Her smile slightly faded. Farkle noticed.

"You okay?" He asked.

"I'm going to go make breakfast," She replied. "What would you like?"

"Waffles?" He responded.

"Sure," she said. "With chocolate chips and strawberries, right?"

"Chocolate chips and blueberries," he replied. "I don't like strawberries, remember?"

"Oh…sorry," she said. She closed her eyes and shook her head. "Right. Chocolate chips and blueberries."

"I want strawberries and blueberries," Aaron told her.

Me too!"

"Sure," she replied to her children.

She left the room to make breakfast. Farkle looked at the doorway with concern.

14-year-old KC walked into the living room. She was wearing a blue dress. Her 15-year-old husband, Jaxon, looked at her and smiled.

"You ready?"

"Yeah," she said. They got in his truck and started driving to the church. "It's nice that your mom is paying for your dad's Father's Day brunch, even though they're divorced."

"She said that as long as he is still in our lives, he's our dad and she'll treat him as such," he replied. "He tries his best, and even though they fell apart, she doesn't want out family to."

"Do you think we ever could?"

"Fall apart?"

"Yeah."

"I honestly don't know if he was ever all in," he admitted. "I am, and I'm never letting you go and I'm never going to leave. I love you to the stars."

"The stars?" She questioned.

"Yeah," he said. "My love for you will continue to every star, as far as it will ever go; and from what I can tell, there's an infinite amount of stars. I can't wait to have everything we want. I can't wait to have kids with you."

"That's sweet. I really want that, too," she said. She looked at him. "Why do you do have your hair like that every Sunday?"

"Like what?"

"All combed back and stuff," she responded. "You always have your hair all messy every other day."

"Every other day isn't when we go to church," Jaxon stated. "I like looking nice when we go to church."

"What's your excuse for every other day?" She joked. "God can see you then, too."

Jaxon smiled and laughed.

"True," he agreed. "You want to 'fix it', don't you?"

"You know me so well," she laughed.

He pulled into a parking spot near the church.

"Go ahead," he told her. She messed up his hair. "Better?"

"I love your hair like this," she said. "It's you. Doesn't God want who you are?"

"Yeah," he answered.

"So, when we get to iHop, you're getting chocolate chips and strawberry waffles, right?"

"Right," he confirmed.

They got out of the truck and walked into church together.

Farkle, KC, Aaron, and Brooklyn walked out of church.

Rachel walked up to them.

"Hey," she greeted them.

"Hey," Farkle replied.

"Hey, Rachel," KC greeted her mother-in-law. She looked at her husband. "I'm going to get them in the car."

"Okay," he agreed. "I'll be there in a bit."

KC and their children walked away.

"So what are you guys doing today?" Rachel questioned.

"We're going to a movie," Farkle replied.

"Nice."

"Can I ask you something?"

"Yes, of course," she told him.

"KC kind of acted weird this morning," he said. "Do you know any reason she would?"

"How did she act weird?"

"Well, she somehow forgot I don't like strawberries," he said, "and she looked sad when she was looking at Aaron."

"How did strawberries come up?"

"After I asked if she was okay, she asked me what I wanted for breakfast, and I said waffles," he informed her. "Then, she asked confirmation, asking about chocolate chips and strawberries being in it. I corrected her saying it was blueberries and reminded her that I don't like strawberries. It really confused me."

Realization hit Rachel's face.

"That's what Jaxon liked in his waffles," she told him, "and Aaron is starting to look a lot like his father."

"When did Jaxon die again?"

"January 12th, 2015," she answered. "It's almost been 10 years since the Father's Day after Jaxon passed."

"That might be why," Farkle realized.
