"I think it's time for your question, Sapnap," Karl giggled as he watched Nick shake his head and roll his eyes at his two best friends.
"I seriously don't want to ask Dream my question because I know his answer and I know you two will just spend the rest of the night making fun of me."
Clay laughed as he adjusted his mic. "Oh come on, Sapnap. Ask me the question so I can say NO." Karl started laughing loudly as Nick just huffed and shook his head at his friends. "Oh come on, Sap."
"Fine! Dream, do you believe in ghosts?" Sapnap watched as his best friend smirked at him.
"No I don't, Sap. But thanks for asking."
"Great! You two laugh it up. I'm going to go get a drink while y'all talk about cartoons." He took his headphones off as they just cackled behind him. "You know what, Karl? I think I like it better when we record this podcast remotely and I don't have to see you actually laugh at me." He knew they were just joking with him but he just felt like ghosts existed and it kinda hurt that they didn't just let him.
"Oh come on, Sap don't be like that! We love you, big guy!" Dream yelled over his shoulder as they watched Nick just walk off.
"Nick, explain to me again WHY you ask that question to everyone?" Clay was cleaning up after dinner as Nick wrapped up the trash and Karl played with Patches.
Nick rolled his eyes. "Because I just want to have some evidence of the ghosts. I don't think that once you die, that's it. That can't be it. What we just become worm food?" He looked over at them both. "Are you trying to tell me that THIS bullshit we do everyday is it? Then why do we do all of this to better ourselves as humans to just become nothing? Tell me, Clay, why?" He watched his best friend actually think about that question as he dried the last plate. "I know that the two of you think that I'm just stupid but … I don't know, just let me have this."
Clay shook his head as Karl laughed again. "Nick, we'll let you have this."
"You know what, I seriously have had enough of this shit today from both of you? I'm going to take a shower and go to bed."
"Oh Nick, don't leave mad." Clay laughed as Karl yelled down the hallway at Nick.
"Fuck you both!" Nick flipped them off as they cackled behind him.
They heard the bathroom door shut and Karl smiled at Clay. "You want to have a little fun tonight?" Clay nodded as he smirked. "After he's asleep, let's prove that ghosts are 'real.'"
Clay started to laugh harder. "I like the idea. What do you have in mind?" Karl giggled as they started their evil plan.
Karl knocked softly on Clay's bedroom door at three in the morning before opening the door. "Are you ready?"
Clay nodded as he picked up the VR projector that he and George spent the last two hours coding. "George helped me program a little something special for our Sapnap."
Clay winked as they started down the hallway. "Don't tell me that the ghost looks like that girl he dated and sent his snaps to George?" Clay nodded as Karl just shook his head. "Well at least he'll think the bitch is dead." Karl put his ear to Nick's bedroom. "I can hear him snoring." Clay nodded as he quietly opened the door. Before he could get the projector set up, they saw her. She was floating over Sapnap's sleeping body, smiling as she gently touched his face. Karl glanced over at Clay who had a shocked, slightly scared look on his face.
She glanced over to see them standing in the doorway and frowned. "Who are you, little man?"
"Is she talking to me?" Clay nodded as Karl turned to see her move to sit on the side of Nick's bed. "Ummm…we came to check on our friend."
"No, he's my friend." She looked up and smiled at them as she slipped her hand under his blanket, causing him to moan slightly. "I like him more than the other one."
"Do you mean me?" Clay asked as she continued to touch Nick. She nodded as she looked back at a sleeping Nick. "Ok, I mean Nick is a good looking dude but I'm not sure he wants you to molest him in his sleep."
"Oh I do this every night. He likes everything I do to him. He always wakes up happy after I visit." As the words left her, she looked at them. Her whole face changed dramatically, twisting into a grotesque monster, causing both of them to scream as they ran down the hallway to the kitchen as she screamed after them.
"What the absolute FUCK was that?" Karl asked as Clay just stood there, stunned, shaking his head. "I mean what the …"
"Why are y'all in here screaming?" They looked up to see Nick walking towards them. He was rubbing his eyes.
"Nick, you didn't see what was in your room with you?" Clay was holding himself up by white knuckling the counter. "She was hovering and then touching you and yelling at us with her demon face. I can't …"
"Ok, very funny! Still making fun of me for wanting to see ghosts, huh?" He grabbed water out of the fridge.
Karl flopped down in a chair finally, trying to grasp what he just saw. "Nick, I love you." He glanced up at his friend who still looked irritated and sleepy. "I truly do and while I had every intention of pranking you while you slept, there was an actual ghost in your room. She was floating over you, touching you in inappropriate ways, saying you were her favorite and screaming at us to leave."
Nick looked over at Clay who was still pale but nodded to confirm what Karl was saying. "Nick, he's not lying. We were going to fuck with you. I even got George to help me code this projector with ghostly figures but when we opened the door," he looked up at Nick who was just staring at them. "Karl's telling the truth. She called him 'little man' and said she likes you more than me. She then started touching you and making you make noises," he smirked as Nick smiled. "You know what kinds of noises you were making. She said she visits you nightly, doing things to you to make you wake up happy."
He took a drink of the water. "Every NIGHT?" He sat down next to Karl. "I can't believe this."
"Now you can't believe in ghosts!" Clay bellowed as he leaned over the counter at them. "Nick! There was an actual ghost in your room that was trying to have sex with you while we stood in the doorway. We need to get her out of our house."
"You two are both actually scared and I'm going back to get proof. I need to get proof of her being in there and trying to touch me."
"How do you plan on doing that?" Karl wrapped his arms protectively around Nick. "You can't seriously think of going back in that room."
"You said that she likes me best, right?" They nodded. "Then I go back in there and lay down like I'm going to sleep. She won't hurt me. Clay, I'll need you to remote in and turn on my camera and record for the rest of the night. In the morning we'll look over the footage and see what happened. Karl, stay in Clay's room tonight." He patted Karl on the back as he got up and walked back to his room.
Once they heard the door shut, Clay activated Nick's camera. "Karl, what do we do? I know what we saw but I have no idea how to even start to get rid of her. I can't have this ghost haunting our house, taking advantage of Nick while he's at his most vulnerable." He watched as Karl grabbed his phone and dialed a number. "Who're you calling at this ungodly hour?"
"When I have questions that I need actual answers for, I either call you or Jimmy. Since you have no answers, I'm calling Jimmy." He waited. "Jimmy, I know it's late but…"
"It IS late, Karl but insomnia has me up tonight. Can I help you with something?"
"Clay and I have a bit of a problem and we can't solve it."
"Well, now you have my attention. Dream has a problem and I'm the person who you call to solve it." Karl heard Jimmy laugh. "Spill it, Karl."
"Ok so you know Sapnap's question in the podcast?"
"Yes, the one about ghosts."
"Yeah that's the one. Well, he asked it to Dream as we were recording earlier and we ragged on him about it like we do. Then we decided to prank him in his sleep with a projector of some creepy ghosts but when we got into his room, there was an actual ghost. This ghost told us she likes visiting Nick nightly, touching him while he's asleep. She then turned into this horrible looking … I don't know… a monster, a demon I can't describe what she turned into. I'm going to be honest, Jimmy but she scared the crap out of me. Clay and I want to know if you might have any answers on how to get rid of her. I mean do we call a priest, a shaman, the freaking ghostbusters? Nick has gone back in there to get video proof of the ghost."
Jimmy laughed again. "How is he doing that?"
"He went back to lay down and had Clay remotely turn on his camera." Karl grabbed Nick's bottle of water and took a drink. "So do you have any idea how we can get rid of the ghost that has attached itself to Nick?"
Jimmy sighed as he thought about it for a moment. "Believe it or not, Mom's best friend may know of some guys who kill ghosts for a living."
"Of course, Jimmy knows a guy," Clay rolled his eyes as he got a soda from the fridge.
"A couple of guys, Clay. Actually brothers. My mom's friend went to college with one of them and it was rumored that when he left, he went into what they called the 'family business' of killing everything that goes bump in the night. Let me call them and I'll give them your number to get with you and come up with a plan."
"Ok Jimmy. I'll wait for them to call us." Karl hung up the phone and waited.
Jimmy took a deep breath and got the burner phone he had in his dresser. There were just two numbers on it and he only used it when he had a true emergency. He hit the speed dial number for the first one and waited to see if anyone picked up. He heard a chuckle on the other end after just one ring. "Jimmy, long time. What's going on?"
"I think I have a bit of a problem that only you and Sam can solve for me." He had never told any of his friends about Sam and Dean Winchester. He didn't know how to explain to any of them that these men saved his life once and he owed them everything.
"You run into another werewolf?" Dean stretched in his chair in the library as he kicked Sam's chair under the table. He pointed at his phone as Sam picked up his head. "I got you on speaker now, Jimmy. I just woke up Sam."
"Hey Sam. Sorry about calling you both this late but I just got a call from one of my friends. He said he and the friend he's staying with were going to play a prank on another friend who truly believes in ghosts."
Dean laughed. "They were going to give him a good scare." Dean smiled as Sam just shook his head. "Oh, to be young, dumb, and have nothing else better to do but make your friends hate you for a while."
"Yeah and now you're just dumb and want to have nothing else better to do than to make your brother mad at you for a little while." Dean rolled his eyes as Sam handed him a beer.
"Whatever, bitch. So what's the problem they're having, Jimmy?"
"Well they got into the guy's room and there was an actual ghost in there with him. Karl said that the ghost was touching Nick and when they confronted it, she became grotesque and they ran. They must have made a lot of noise because Nick woke up and after they told him, he decided to go back in the room and try to film her."
"Shit, so I guess they want her gone?" Sam started typing on his laptop.
"Yes, they do. I just sent you the information that I have on the house they own, Sam. Now these boys are gaming streamers so their whole lives are on the internet with the exception of Clay who calls himself Dream. He doesn't show his face online but Nick and Karl do. Karl has been in some of my videos. I understand that you two won't want to be on the internet getting rid of this ghost but do you think you can help them? I know that we can get them to keep this all a secret. I mean I'll pay them all off if I need to."
"Jimmy, it looks like a woman was killed in that house by an abusive boyfriend. If this Nick is a good guy, she may feel like he's her heaven." Sam kept researching any information he could find as Dean started packing the weapons they would need. "So Nick is trying to film her tonight?"
"Yes," Jimmy laughed. "That boy wants to play off like he's tough but if he wakes up and actually sees her, he'll piss his bed. He's a big scaredy cat." He stopped laughing and became serious. "Can I give you Karl's number so you can call him and calm him a little bit? I know you two can fix this for them."
Dean knew that sometimes just being told that there was a plan could calm even the worst nerves. "Yes, and what's the lie we tell them about how you know us?"
"Sam went to college with one of my mom's friends. I just texted his number to Sam's phone." Jimmy rubbed his face as he started to actually feel sleep creeping in. "Thanks guys. I knew I could call and you would know what to do. I'll wire money into your accounts in thirty minutes so you won't have to worry about anything."
"Jimmy, you don't have to do that but thanks. We'll take care of this problem. Now let me call Karl and tell him we're leaving here now."
Karl jumped as his phone buzzed in his hand. He was sitting on the floor of Clay's bedroom as Clay sat at his computer chatting with George. Either of them could sleep. "Hello?" He whispered like he was going to wake up someone.
"Is this Karl?"
"Ummm…yes?"
Dean laughed as Sam just shook his head. "Ok, are you wondering if you are actually Karl or are you not sure if Karl is your real name?"
"Dean, leave the boy alone! They're probably still scared." Dean laughed as Sam smiled at him. "My name is Sam and the other guy in the car is my brother Dean. Are you boys ok right now?"
Clay leaned back in his chair and laughed. "He's still scared and he really wants to run into Nick's bedroom and make sure she's not … oh I don't know what would you call it … ghost rape?" Clay wrinkled up his nose. "No, I don't like that term. What would we call it?"
"I mean is your boy consenting to what has been happening to his body?" Dean asked straight to them.
"No. He didn't even know she was visiting nightly. He probably thought it was just normal …you know guy dreams." Clay smirked like the guys could see him.
"Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Ok then yeah he's being raped by a ghost. That's the weirdest ghostly interaction I've ever heard of." Dean glanced over at Sam who nodded.
"How long have you been doing this, Dean?"
Dean shook his head. "You want me to be honest with you, Clay?"
"Yes I do because I'm trusting you with my best friend. I've known Nick since before we were teenagers. He's my brother, so yes I need you to be honest with me and in turn I'll be completely honest with you." Clay was feeling helpless at this moment. He didn't want Karl to know just how out of control he felt right and he was truly placing all of his hope in the men on the other end of the line.
"Since I was four years old…and that's the truth. I know what it's like to want to protect your brother from the evils around you but it sounds like your brother is wanting to be an active participant in getting rid of her so let's respect that." Dean smiled as Sam patted him on the shoulder.
"So Jimmy told you that he went back into the room?" Karl asked and Dean noticed that Karl sounded scared.
"Yes he did and that Nick is filming what is going on in there." Dean took a moment before asking, "Did he tell you that what we do and who we are NEEDS to say OFF the internet COMPLETELY?" Dean stressed certain words in the question, hoping that it would ring in their minds.
Karl frowned as Clay shook his head. "No, he didn't but if you want to be invisible, I can do that for you. You and Sam don't exist. Everything that will happen in this house will never get out." Clay took a deep breath. "I promise you right now. If you save my friend, what happens here, stays here."
Dean smirked as he stepped on the gas. Sam laughed. "I like the way you think, Clay. If you can keep Dean and I off of the internet, we would truly appreciate it."
Clay watched as Karl yawned. "I think knowing that you guys are on your way is giving Karl and I enough peace of mind to maybe get a little sleep while Nick gets evidence. We'll watch it when we get up and see if we caught her. When do you think you'll be here?"
Dean cleared his throat. "We're driving straight through so I'm thinking that it won't be until about 10 am tomorrow. So not 10 am in a few hours but …"
"Yeah I understand. Do we need to get anything to prepare for this or to help you out?"
Sam smiled. "Do a little research about the woman who was killed in that house. Find out where she's buried and maybe if the guy who killed her is dead."
Dean huffed. "Yeah I want to burn his bones just for shits and giggles."
"Dean!" Sam slapped his brother as the guys on the other end laughed. "But I do agree that asshole needs to burn, so maybe a 2-for-1?"
Clay yawned as Karl's eyes started to flutter. "Ok, we'll have evidence and research for you once you get here. Drive safe and quickly." Karl hung up the phone as he curled up on the floor. "You comfortable down there?"
"No but I'm too tired to move." Clay climbed into his bed as they both closed their eyes and waited for the Winchesters to come save the day.
Nick was the first to hear the rumble of the engine as the Winchesters pulled into the driveway. "That car sounds like a beast and I don't hate it." They all laughed as they looked out the window to see the guys get out of the car. "Well they just make me feel short. Holy crap is everyone just over 6 feet but me?"
Clay laughed as he opened the door and smiled at the Winchesters. "Good morning! You made good time."
Dean frowned. "Yeah, Sam was worried about you guys so he wouldn't let me stop for coffee or donuts."
Karl laughed. "Well, I guess it's good that Clay made breakfast and coffee for everyone."
Dean patted Clay on the back. "Damn, son! You just won me over. Oh and there's actual bacon!"
Nick turned around and grabbed the plate to offer Dean a piece. "Damn right there's actual bacon! Who eats breakfast without bacon?" Nick and Dean just looked at each other like they were on the same wavelength.
Sam huffed as Clay sighed. "There's two of them." Sam glanced over at Clay and rolled his eyes. "Great!"
Karl sat at the bar and laughed over his Monster. "So is that what Nick's going to be like when he grows up?"
Dean looked over Karl who shrunk back from the stare. "How old do you think we are?"
"Older than Philza? Probably? You have to be older than us." Karl kept trying to hide behind his can as Sam started laughing.
"Dean, stop scaring that boy!" Karl glanced over at Sam and grinned slightly. "Sorry about him. He's just messing with you and yes, we're older than all of you I imagine." He walked over to Karl and smiled. "So let's see you must be Karl?" Karl nodded. He turned to look at Clay who was still standing by the door. "You're Clay, am I right?" Clay nodded as he walked over and took a piece of bacon from the plate Nick still had in his hand.
"So that means this guy is Nick. You have been getting nightly visits from HER." Dean picked up another piece of bacon as Nick nodded. "And Jimmy said someone was called Dream?" Dean looked confused as Clay started laughing.
"Of course Jimmy would talk about Dream and not the rest of us. What the honk, Jimmy?" Karl just shook his head as Clay laughed harder.
"I'm Dream. It's my screen name. Nick's screen name is Sapnap and Karl is," he frowned as Nick started laughing. "Well, Karl is Karl. I never thought about how basic that is, Karl."
"I use to be GamerBoyKarl but now, I'm just Karl because of the Mr. Beast videos."
Dean then perked up. "Jimmy is Mr. Beast. That's how he knows you. Ok, I got it now." He sat down at the table with a plate and a cup of coffee. As he took a drink of the coffee, he sighed, relaxing a bit after the long drive. "Did you get any evidence of her after you went back to your room, Nick?"
"I did actually get video proof but please don't make fun of what happened." Nick started to blush a little as he put the laptop on the table.
Sam smiled at him. "Nick, we're all guys here and while none of us honestly KNOW if this has ever happened to any of us. We do understand what is going on and if you want, just mute it."
Clay sat down at the table next to Dean. "No, she took it to a WHOLE other level once he got back." Nick started to get uncomfortable as he pulled up the video.
Dean let out a low whistle. "She didn't … did she?"
"Yes she did and once I watched what she did to my body, I didn't go back in there. Last night I literally slept on the floor in the living room." Karl walked behind Nick and hugged him tightly, not worrying about what the Winchesters might think of his showing of affection for his friend. Nick hit play and turned the laptop so that Sam and Dean could watch it as he got up and got himself a Monster out of the fridge. They watched as she appeared in the corner of the room. She glided around his bed, watching him get comfortable, waiting until she was sure that he was actually asleep. Dean watched as she smirked as she floated above his body, lightly putting kisses on his face as she started to remove the blanket from his body. When he shivered slightly, she laid her figure over his body to stop him from shaking.
As she started to pull off his boxers, Dean shut the laptop. "Ok, that's enough. Clay, did you get any information about her or the boyfriend? Where might her body be buried? She's got to GO! No, she's evicted NOW!"
Nick smiled at Dean as he tried not to show how emotional he was about this situation. "Thanks, Dean. I really didn't want you guys to see what happened next to me. She does things to my body that I didn't want…"
"Don't worry, Nick. We're going to take care of her." Dean looked over at Sam who was reading some of the research Clay had on his laptop. "What does he have, Sam? What do you think we're dealing with?"
Sam kept looking over the information. "Looks like we're dealing with a basic pissed off ghost who KNOWS she's dead but maybe she truly thinks that Nick is her heaven. Maybe she thinks she got this good looking guy for her to have her way with for the rest of forever. I'm guessing that Clay and Karl made her mad a couple nights ago and she decided to go all the way, marking Nick as her own." Dean shrugged as Sam shook his head. "She's buried locally so after nightfall, I think if we just burn the bones she should leave here."
"How can we be sure she's gone?" Clay glanced over at Sam who made a face, knowing what he was about to say was not what Nick wanted to hear.
"I hate to do this but Nick's going to have to go to bed in his room." He watched as Nick's face just fell. "You're in your twenties, right?" Nick nodded. Sam glanced over at Dean and smirked as Dean shook his head in disapproval. "You smoke weed?"
Nick looked over at Clay who started shaking his head. "I have smoked it before but I've promised Clay that I would stop."
"Well, you're not stopping tonight." Sam laughed as Nick smirked. "Tonight I suggest you get some of the best you can get your hands on. I want you to be as relaxed as possible. You'll remember nothing. I want you to just pass out in your bed. Yes, it's probable that she may get her hands on you, but I promise you that she'll never go THAT far with you again. Tonight she may touch you but she won't go as far as she did in that video." Sam watched as Nick nodded nervously. "This means that Clay and Karl will be sitting by your door waiting on me to call and tell them to open the door and witness if she burns up. If you want, you can turn on your camera and record what happens to her but these videos can NOT go on the internet. Do you understand?"
Nick nodded as he glanced over at Clay. "It's just for tonight, Clay, and I'm being told I have to do it." He smiled as he sent the text on his phone.
"You're still an idiot."
"And you still love me." Nick smiled as Clay rolled his eyes.
"Dean, do you need us to supply anything else?"
"No, we just need to go find the grave and then wait for nightfall. Nick, I'm really sorry we're putting you back in there as bait but I promise you this will be the last night you'll ever have to worry about her." Nick nodded as he checked his phone for the reply.
Nick walked in from the back yard. Karl noticed the goofy smile on his face as Clay just shook his head. "How high are you, Nick?"
"High enough to wonder if Minecraft was an alternative reality, would Dream XD actually be God? And if he is God, would that mean that I'm God's roommate?" He started giggling as Karl just glanced over at Clay.
Clay just shook his head as he started laughing. "Go take your shower and go to bed, Nick. It's after 11 and Sam said they were getting to the grave at midnight." Nick nodded as he staggered down the hallway to the bathroom. Clay glanced over at Karl. "I do hate when he's high but I understand this is to make sure he doesn't wake up and see anything she's doing. When he watched the video, he just felt so violated. Hell, I felt violated and it wasn't me on that video. I wonder if she ever visited me when we first got here and decided that I wasn't good enough for her."
Karl giggled as Clay looked hurt. "I mean we've all seen Nick naked and he's a good looking dude. Not to offend you at all, Clay but she might like them a bit bigger." Clay threw a wadded up piece of paper at Karl who just died laughing.
Clay grabbed his phone and called Sam. "Hey Sam, Nick's in the shower and will be going to bed probably in the next 20 minutes. Will that work for you?"
"Yeah, we're making one stop to an old friend of ours. She owes me a favor and was able to get her hands on a little something extra to make sure that Alice doesn't come back ever."
"You know you have me wondering what the hell you're picking up but I'm not going to ask just in case …"
"Yeah, let's leave it as she's my friend. I did her a solid one time and now I'm cashing in my favor to help out your friend."
Clay laughed. "Sounds great."
"Hey Sam, put him on speaker for a minute." Sam put the call on speaker and Dean started talking. "Hey Clay, I need you to do something for me. I need you to be Nick's person. He's playing it off pretty cool right now but pretty soon he'll crack and he's going to need someone to either listen or let him yell or fight or whatever it is he needs to do to get the feelings of him being manhandled by this ghost out of his being." Dean took a deep breath, knowing what it feels like having to deal with feelings of being used like a piece of meat. "It's not going to be pretty when he finally breaks and if he needs me to, I can come back and talk him through it. What's happening to him is hard to wrap your mind around especially when you don't even know it happened. I can tell you that when something similar happened to me, I didn't talk to anyone. I got lost for a long time. I don't want him to go through that. He's got you and Karl to lean on."
"Dean, you don't need to worry about that. I got him but when you come back in the morning, maybe you can talk to him about not smoking weed to get through it."
"Deal! Now, we're heading out. Once she's toasty, we'll call you to bust into his room."
Sam hung up the phone and looked at his brother. "What were you talking about, Dean?"
"Sam, I never told you everything they put me through in Hell to try and break me. I was used and abused, tortured and …" He stopped for a minute to not have to remember. "When I got back, I should've talked to someone but I didn't know who to talk to about it. I mean who was I going to talk to about Hell? What was I going to say to any of you without having one of you give me that pity look that I hate?" He just shook his head as he kept his eyes on the road. "So, I spent most of the next year drinking myself into not thinking about it." He looked over at Sam. "I guess I kind of know what he's dealing with and it sucks when you're a guy and THAT isn't supposed to happen to guys. And if it DOES happen to a guy, society as a whole thinks you should just suck it up and move on because …" He stopped midthought because he didn't have the words to finish what he wanted to express.
Sam smiled at his brother and patted his shoulder. "You could've talked to me but I was a demon blood addict at the time so what the hell would I have done to help you."
Dean laughed. "We were the poster boys for therapy!"
Karl listened to the moaning in Nick's room and continued to fidget. "How much longer are we going to let this go on?" He huffed under his breath. "It feels like this has been going on for an hour."
"Sam said they'll call as soon as they get her lit up. They had to dig up her grave by hand. They didn't have a backhoe like Jimmy uses in the videos." He could hear Nick's moaning getting louder. "And seriously it has only been like ten minutes." He grabbed his shorts pocket as his phone started vibrating. "Sam? Is it time?" He heard screaming on the other side of the door.
"Fuck if he says it's time." Karl kicked open the door to see the ghost with flames all around her. "Clay, are you seeing this?" He glanced over to see Clay nodding as he stared at the transparent woman on fire.
"Clay, can you hear me?" Sam was screaming at him as he was mesmerized by the screaming ghost in front of him.
Clay came out of the shock. "Yes, Sam I'm here. What the Hell is going on? Tell me what I'm seeing." He just stood there, watching in awe. "She's screaming, burning here in front of us but not burning anything around her. I mean she's floating over Nick and he's not burning but let me cover him up," Clay leaned over and covered his friend's body as she finally exploded and disappeared. "Holy shit! She's gone, Sam."
"Good! How's Nick?"
"Well, naked but still asleep. I did cover him with a blanket but he's letting it all hang out."
Sam laughed as he and Dean watched the fire change colors as he added the mixture Abigail had given him. "Now you and Karl go get some rest if you can. Dean and I will clean up our evidence here and we'll see you in the morning before we leave town."
"Ok, Sam." Clay laughed as he hugged Karl tight. "But I don't think either of us may be sleeping tonight."
Sam laughed again as he watched Dean gaze at the full moon overhead. "Then go play some video games and shoot up some zombies or nazis or whatever it is that gets shot in video games now."
"I might see if George is still up and we can stream some game play until day break. See you guys in the morning." Clay hung up the phone as Karl walked over to Nick to check his breathing and fix his blanket to cover him completely. "How's our boy?"
"Passed out but none the wiser. You going to stream with George?" Clay could see that Karl was on edge.
"I mean if he's even up." Clay shrugged as he made a suggestion. "If not, you want to stream some Minecraft with me? I mean George is a little mad at me for not explaining why I've not been telling him how the prank went." Clay started out the door as Karl made sure that Nick was completely covered before joining him.
"I can imagine." Karl giggled a little bit about how mad George gets when he feels like he's being left out. "Or what about trying to play that game that Nick and Punz play all the time? We could just shoot up a bunch of stuff to work out these anxious feelings instead of trying to actually have to think things through on Minecraft."
Clay nodded as they walked into the streaming room. "Yeah that sounds better. Even if we suck at it, it'll be ok." Karl giggled as they left Nick sleeping like a baby.
"Ok so let me get this straight, you two stood outside my door and listened as she undressed me?" Nick stood there staring at his friends who were really trying to explain to him what happened.
"Yes…I mean no. That's not what happened. We did as we were told because the last time we busted in on her, she left after she screamed at us and Sam said he would call as soon as they lit her on fire." Clay shrugged. "We're not sure if she undressed you or not. You smoked some weed," Clay looked over at him. "So you may have gone to bed naked." He shrugged again as Karl started giggling. "We heard her messing with you for about ten minutes before Sam called me and then she started screaming. "
Karl jumped up. "Wait! We turned on the camera last night. We can see exactly what happened in the room. We have a recording of it. I'm so glad … I want to see her on fire again." He ran down the hall and grabbed Nick's laptop.
Nick heard the rumble of Impala as Karl walked back into the kitchen. He opened the door to see Dean get out of the car holding a large box of donuts. "Good morning. I see you brought sugar for breakfast."
"Ummm six of these have bacon on them." Dean said as he passed into the house. "How did you sleep last night?"
"Well, passing out isn't really sleeping, is it?" He gave Dean a questioning look as he giggled under his breath. "But if it is, I slept hard." Sam laughed as Dean just shook his head. Nick motioned for them to come to the table. "Karl was about to look up the video for last night." He could see that Nick was a little stressed as he thought about what might be on that video.
Dean patted him on the shoulder as the video started. Sam sat down so everyone could crowd around the screen. As the video started, they watched Nick get into bed and pass out. "At least we know you went to bed naked." Nick rolled his eyes at Clay who just smirked at him. They watched him sleep for about ten minutes before she appeared in the corner. She floated over him, touching his face and smiling. She lowered her face to his, kissing his lips as she started to pull down the blanket. Nick started to blush as Karl put his arms around him to comfort him. She smiled as he started to moan. "Listen, you can hear Karl worrying outside the door."
Everyone started laughing as Karl flipped Clay off. "What the honk, Clay? You were just as worried as I was." As he said that, they watched as she burst into flames and Karl kicked open the door. Nick watched as his friends stood there watching her burn but taking the time to cover his naked body.
He leaned over and gave Clay a hug and a smile. He whispered, "Thank you."
"Anytime, Sap." Clay stopped the video as they walked out of the room and Nick rolled over, hugging his pillow. "So, she's gone forever?"
He turned and looked at Sam. "Yes, we salted and burned her body, then we covered her ashes in a voodoo mixture to bind her soul to the other plane of existence, whichever one she went to." The guys looked at Sam who just nodded. "She could be in Heaven or Hell but she won't be back here ever."
Karl glanced over at Sam. "What about her boyfriend?"
Dean laughed as he grabbed a donut out of the box. "Oh he's still living but I called in a little favor and now he's going to be living a horrible life." The guys looked at him as he bit the donut. "Ok I know a few demons who like to torture people for fun so I gave them his name and," he laughed as Karl started to giggle. "Let's just say they're going to have some fun with him for the rest of his life." He grabbed another donut and motioned for Nick to follow him. "Come outside with me, Nick." Once they were outside by the Impala, Dean looked at him. "This is the part where I become your big brother for a moment." Nick smiled as Dean handed him the donut. "First, stop smoking weed." Nick rolled his eyes. "Don't roll your eyes at me. You have no idea what they are putting in that shit. You could be paying big money for a bag of weed laced with snake venom and angel dust."
Nick sat there thinking about what Dean said. "Ok well that sounds like instant death."
"Yeah, if it's not instant death, you'll be a vegetable. Doesn't sound like a fun time to me." He took a bite of his donut and stared out at the sunrise. "Second, talk to your friends or someone about what happened. Get it out of your head. Those guys in there care about you. Yeah, they rag on you and give you a hard time but they are your family. They love you more than you know, I promise you. Trust them to listen and help you. Don't self medicate with alcohol or drugs or whatever takes the pain away temporarily. Don't believe if you bottle it up, it'll go away. It won't. I know it won't." Nick looked at him as Dean shook his head. "Don't ask. My best friend for a long time was a bottle of whiskey and he didn't do me any favors." Nick smiled as Dean patted him on the shoulder. "Ok that's enough with the afterschool special moment. Let's go back inside so I can get some coffee before we leave."
"Thanks Dean." Nick took a deep breath as Dean gave him a smile. "I know you and Sam don't technically exist but would it be too much for me to ask if I can call and talk to you if my friends can't help me because they don't know what it's like?"
Dean smiled as they walked back to the house. "You can call me or Sam anytime you need us." They walked back into the house, knowing that ghosts do exist and sometimes they bring support into your life when you need it most.
