It had been five years since I left Death City. The triplets had grown and reminded me of Kid everyday. I missed my home but I was still unsure of going back. I said I would one day. I sighed and pulled out the last picture that was taken before I left. It was the whole gang, Maka Soul, Tsubaki Black Star, Patty Crona. I smiled. Then my eyes fell on Kid and I. I sighed. I regretted leaving. I regretted it everyday since the triplets were born. I looked down at our smiling faces and felt like crying. The day the photo was taken was the day I found out I was pregnant. I sighed and closed my eyes again. I had been such an idiot for leaving but at the time I thought I did the right thing. We were barely out of the academy and just starting our lives. And now that I'm five years older and no what I know, I just want to go back and change

"MAMA!" Esme yelled as she came running in.

"What is it baby?" I asked as I set the picture down.

She had tears running down her face, "Fallon bit me!"

She held up her arm and I saw a half circle of teeth marks. I sighed and picked her up.

"Fallon Remo Thompson! Get in here!"

Fallon came slowly into the room and was looking down at his feet with his arms behind his back.

"Did you bite your sister?" I asked as I crouched down.

"Yes," He whispered.

"Why did you bite her?"

He looked up at me, "She dared me too."

I looked over at Esme, "Did you dare your brother to bite you?"

Esme didn't answer. I sighed.

"Esmeralda Valentina Thompson, did you dare your brother to bite you?" I asked with a stern voice.

She looked up at her full name being used, "Yes Mama."

I looked back over at Fallon, "If your sister dares you to bite her, don't do it. You're not in trouble this time. Go play."

"Okay mama. I'm sorry Esme."

Fallon ran out of the room as fast as he could.

"Now Esme, why would you dare him to bite you and then come running to tell me did bite you?"

Esme looked down again, "I don't know."

I sighed and sat on the floor, "You don't do something like that unless there's something upsetting you. What is it?"

Esme sat on my lap and buried her face in my chest and mumbled something.

I rubbed her hair, "I can't understand you."

She pulled back, "I don't want to move, Mama. Why do we have to move?"

I sighed and combed my fingers through her hair, "Because, I want you to meet your Aunts and Uncles back in Death City."

Esme sighed and snuggled into me more.

"I know change is hard, baby. But we'll be okay." I said.

Esme leaned back and looked up at me, "I wanna stay here with Grandma Kami!"

I kissed the top of her head, "Grandma Kami will come visit us. And she's moving too."

Esme stuck her tongue out at me and jumped from my lap, "YOU CAN'T MAKE ME GO!"

She stormed out of the room and up into her bedroom. I shook my head and turned to go back to packing.

I sighed once again. Even though I had my doubts about going back, I knew it was time. I missed Death City, I missed all my friends and my sister. I closed my eyes.

Three hours later

"Kids, time for dinner!" I yelled.

All three came running in and about fell on top of each other. I laughed as I helped them push their chairs in. The three of them quickly dug into their plates.

"Mama?" Roman asked.

"Yes?"

He took another bite of food as he asked, "When are we leaving?"

"Tomorrow morning. And don't talk when you have food in your mouth." I said.

Esme stopped eating and pushed her plate away, "I'm not hungry anymore."

I sighed, "Baby girl, I know it's hard but I can't leave you here."

Esme just looked down at the table, looking like she was about to cry. I got up and walked over to her and knelt beside her.

"You'll love it in Death City. You'll have your Aunts and Uncles and cousins." I said as I wrapped my arm around her.

"Mama, I want to play with all my cousins But doesn't our dad live there?"

I froze for a minute and looked over at the boys and saw that they had stopped eating and were now watching us.

I sighed, "Yes he does. What about it?"

Esme didn't say anything, she just looked away.

"Does that mean we get to meet him?" Roman asked quietly.

I looked over at him, "Yes, after we get settled."

"What if he doesn't like us?" Fallon asked just as quietly.

I turned to Fallon, "He'll love you all. I'm sure of it."

The triplets had all pushed their plates away and were looking down at the table. I sighed and stood up and picked up the plates.

"How about I put on the movie you guys picked out for tonight?"

"Okay Mama." They said in unison.

The three of them got up from the table and rushed off to their rooms to change into the pjs I left out for them. I walked into the kitchen and threw away the plates. I cleaned the kitchen up a little and packed away the few things that were left in it. Everything was getting shipped out tomorrow and would hopefully arrive when we got into Death City. I looked over at my phone and saw the email icon on it.

"Mama! Hurry up!" Roman yelled.

I laughed and grabbed my phone and walked into the living room.

"Alright, I'm here. Are you guys comfy?"

"Yes ." They said.

I smiled and turned the movie on. I sat on the couch and opened my email.

Hey Sis!

I'm so excited that you're coming back to Death City! It's been too long since I last saw you and the triplets! Colt is really excited to meet his cousins too. He hasn't stopped asking me about when you'll be here. But don't worry I didn't ruin the surprise for everyone else. I hope the trip goes well. Oh, I almost forgot, I have some news to tell you when you get here. I love you!

-Patty

I smiled and typed out my response.

Patty,

I can't wait to see you either and I'm excited to finally be able to meet Colt! Our flight is tomorrow after noon. I'll let you know when we land in the states. Did you get the stuff ready for, I suppose, the party? I can't wait to surprise everyone.

Liz.

I turned my phone screen off and looked over to see that the triplets were already asleep. I laughed and curled up on the couch and slowly drifted off.
