Four years ago

"Kid, we need to tell you something." Tsubaki said.

Kid looked around and frowned. He wasn't in the best of moods, as today was a year since Liz had left.

He sighed, "I'm not in the mood today."

"It's about Liz." Patty said quietly.

Kid stopped dead in his tracks and looked back at all his friends. They all had solemn faces, even Black Star. Kid turned toward them slowly, somewhat afraid of what they wanted to tell him.

"We've been keeping something from you. Liz swore us to secrecy." Maka said.

"I don't give a damn. I should've been told from the beginning! Did she also tell you that she was pregnant with triplets?" Kid said angrily.

"She only told me that she was pregnant. She was scared." Patty said as she stood up.

Kid whipped his head towards Patty and gave her a death glare, "She had me! Why would she leave, if she was only pregnant?"

"We don't know why she chose to leave. But we all miss her and want her home. This is why we want to tell you where she is now." Tsubaki said.

Kid dropped his head into his hands. He closed his eyes and started whispering to himself. His emotions were all over the place. He felt angry at his friends for keeping this from him. He felt relieved that he'd be able to bring Liz home but he also felt angry with her for leaving.

"Then tell me already! I'll go there now and bring her back!" Kid yelled.

Everyone stayed quiet for a few minutes before Patty finally decided to answer Kid.

"She's in Mittenwald, Germany."

Kid shot up and stormed out of the house before anyone could say anything. As he ran out of the house he called for Beelzbub.

A few hours later Kid was standing at the front door to Liz's house. But something was off. The whole town was too quiet. He brushed it off and knocked on the door. He listened for footsteps but didn't hear anything. Kid pounded on the door and started to yell. But still no answer. Growing frustrated, he decided to just kick the door in.

Once he was in the house, he yelled for Liz. But got no answer. He started to panic and worry that something might have happened before he had gotten there.

Kid whipped his head around frantically before finally spotting a blanket on the banister of the stairs. He slowly walked forward and picked up the blue blanket. As he looked it over, he saw initials embroidered into it.

R.W.T

Kid folded the blanket and put it into the backpack he had grabbed. He frowned and slowly made his way up the stairs. He listened for any sound but the house was eerily quiet for someone with triplets.

"Where are you?" He muttered to himself.

At the top of the stairs he found six doors, all open. He walked into the master bedroom and found it almost empty. The bed was still there but the closet and dresser were empty. He walked around the room slowly and found another blanket. He frowned and picked it up. It was a pink one with initials embroidered on it.

E.V.T

Kid closed his eyes and felt tears slid down his face. He fell to his knees and hugged the blanket.

If Liz and the triplets weren't here, then where the hell were they and what happened.

Kid jumped to his feet and ran into another room, finding a third blanket that was green. He didn't bother to look to see if there were initials embroidered. He figured it was the same as the other too.

"Liz!" He yelled out, hoping for an answer.

He never got one.

"Damn."

Kid walked out of the house and started searching the town.

Every house he went to was the same, empty and too quiet. Every store he went into looked ransacked. Things all over the floors, cooler doors open and drinks half opened. All the registers were open but all the money was still inside. With every empty place, Kid started to grow more and more worried.

He frantically ran into the last building. Kid looked around slowly but grew even more panicked when he saw the evidence of fight or struggle. He looked around, only to find a body on the floor, covered in blood. His heart sank as he slowly walked closer. He knelt down and carefully rolled the body onto its side.

Before he could see who it was, he heard a noise coming from behind him. Kid turned and was immediately slammed backwards into the wall. He fell to the floor in a heap. The creature stocked forward, bending over Kid. Kid laid as still as he could. He peeked up at it and saw it was a Kishin.

"Fuck." He mumbled.

The kishin whipped its head towards the other body. It walked over and slowly dragged a claw across the body. Kid took the chance and slowly got up. He leaned up against the wall and was about to make a run for it, when he realized that the body on the floor was still alive. He frantically looked around for any kind of weapon, cursing himself for not having Patty come with him.

He grabbed a pipe and charged towards the kishin. He hit it in the back of the head but all it did was turn to look at him. It turned around and once again sent Kid flying.

Kid flew through the door and crashed into a tree in front of the building. Falling to the ground, he coughed up blood. He tried to get up but felt dizzy. Kid fell to his knees.

"What the hell?" He mumbled as he fell into unconsciousness.

Kid slowly opened his eyes to see a bright white light. He squinted and turned his head.

His eyes grew wide when he realized he was in the hospital at DWMA. He slowly looked around and saw someone laying on the bed that was next to him.

She had pale white skin, long bright red hair and big bright green eyes.

She smiled at him, "Glad to see you awake. If you and your friends hadn't shown up when you did, I'd be dead right about now."

Kid just stared at her.

She kept smiling, "Name's Mathilda but everyone calls me Honey."
