After school had ended, Hunter was taking a walk through the park with the Master of Undivision's horrifying experiment still on his mind.

"I can't believe the Master was willing to do such unspeakable things to mere children", Hunter said, "he almost makes Alexander Whittebane look like a good guy."

Elsewhere in the park, Paxton exited a shed and shut the door behind him, and as he walked down the sidewalk, he looked around to see if anyone was following him and accidentally bumped into Hunter because he wasn't looking where he was going.

"Sorry", Paxton said, "I didn't mean to..."

He then noticed that it was his son who he had run into.

"Oh, son", Paxton said, "it's you."

"Hi, Dad", Hunter said, "good to see you again."

Paxton was able to pick up traces of distress in Hunter's voice.

"Is something wrong", Paxton asked.

"Oh, it's nothing", Hunter said, "just something that happened at school today."

"Something at school, you say", Paxton asked, "care to elaborate?"

"I don't know", Hunter said, "it's pretty bad."

"Hunter, I'm your Dad", Paxton said, "you can tell me anything no matter how bad you think it might be."

"Well, alright", Hunter said, "it goes like this..."

Hunter sat down next to Paxton on a park bench and told him all about the monster attack at Hexside and his encounter with the Master of Undivision.

"Sounds like you had a run-in with the True Magic Coven", Paxton said.

"Do you know about them", Hunter asked.

"I do", Paxton said, "it seems that they have have grand ambitions for the Isles, wouldn't you agree?"

"Grand is certainly one way to describe them", Hunter said, "but they're too dangerous."

"Dangerous", Paxton asked, "how so?"

"Their methods of achieving their goals involve too much death and bloodshed", Hunter said, "and don't get me started on the stunt they pulled at school today."

"Ah, yes", Paxton said, "the transformative experiments."

"They captured an innocent student and turned her into a monster against her will", Hunter said, "and what Principal Bump found in the basement makes those guys even more despicable than they already are."

"The other test subjects for the experiment", Paxton asked.

"That's right", Hunter said, "one's body was charred and burned, another one was a skeleton because their skin melted off, and the third one suffocated to death because their body was covered in a substance similar to the monster's flesh."

Paxton looked away from Hunter with a frowned expression on his face.

"Those monsters were perfectly willing to sacrifice the life of children just to achieve their goals", Hunter said, "they must suffer for what they have done."

"Son", Paxton asked, "have you considered that perhaps the True Magic Coven's ambitions may not be as malicious as you think?"

"What do you mean", Hunter asked.

"Well, from what I can understand, it seems that their goal is to bring the witches of the Boiling Isles together", Paxton said, "to unite them."

"The witches of the Isles are already united", Hunter said, "what could the Master be trying to do that he thinks will bring them all together?"

"Maybe he believes the current ruling system on the Isles is all wrong", Paxton said, "he probably thinks that if he tears down the old order of the world, he can create a new one where no one is different and all witches are truly equal to one another."

"I'm sure he thinks his cause is a noble one", Hunter said, "but his way of fighting for it involves too much death and destruction, and that makes him and his group a dangerous threat that must be eliminated no matter what."

Paxton could tell that his son was upset, so he thought of an idea that he thought might cheer him up.

"Come on, Hunter", Paxton said, "follow me."

"Where to", Hunter asked.

"You'll see", Paxton said.

Curious, Hunter got up from the bench and followed Paxton, and pretty soon, they arrived in a very clear part of the park.

"You know, there are so many fun activities that come with having a son that I never got to do after you disappeared", Paxton said, "for instance, teaching you how to ride a bike, going on a fishing trip with you, and of course..."

He made a spell circle that conjured up a ball of magic.

"Playing catch", Paxton said.

Paxton tossed the ball towards Hunter, and the latter managed to catch it.

"Nice catch, Son", Paxton said.

"Thanks", Hunter said.

He tossed the ball back to his dad, and Paxton had to move back a bit to catch it.

"And you're throwing arm's not too bad, either", Paxton said, "now go long!"

Paxton threw the ball once again as hard as he could.

"I got it", Hunter said.

Hunter ran and jumped in the air, and managed to catch the ball while Paxton smiled happily.

"This is fun", Hunter said.

Hunter and Paxton continued to toss the ball back and forth, and as they did so, Eda, who happened to be in the park at that time and noticed the two of them together, was spying on them through a pair of binoculars from a tree branch.

"Look at that bastard", Eda said, "trying to get close with Hunter by making him think he's his son."

Eda continued to look at them through her binoculars, and as she did, her mood slowly began to change.

"Then, again, he is the splitting image of Delacroix", Eda said, "maybe that spell he and the girls used was right after all."

She climbed down from the tree and landed her feet.

"Maybe Hunter really is his son", Eda said, "and that must mean..."

Her face suddenly lit up.

"It really is him", Eda said, "after all these years of thinking he was gone..."

Eda looked out at Hunter from behind the tree with a happy look on her face.

"He's finally back", Eda said.
