Thalia was worried. While Artemis have disappeared for longer periods of time, she usually tells her where she's going. This time, the huntress thought that after talking to her cousin, she would be back after piloting the moon chariot.
'I should check out his place to see if Milady is there.' The lieutenant thought. 'Ever since she admitted her feelings about Percy, the time she spent there increased.' The girl thought as she clasped her hands and prayed to his father. 'Please help me out this once, father.'
The skies thundered and then the god of the skies was beside her. "You called for me, daughter?"
"Wow. I didn't expect that you'll actually listen." Thalia replied to her father.
"You wound me, daughter." The dramatic king responded. "Of course I'll listen to your plea, you are my daughter."
"I can count the times you've responded to my prayers, dad." The girl fired back. "There's a higher chance you'll give me a sibling than you listening to me."
Zeus was hurt by her daughter's words. While he could argue about it, he just chose to suck it up as what she said was true. "Enough about me, let's talk about why you called me here?"
"Do you know where Percy lives?" Thalia asked.
His overprotective fatherly tendencies arose. "Percy? Why do you need to go to where he lives?"
"Well, it's actually about Milady. She said she's going to talk to Percy." Her words sent the sky god into overdrive.
"Let's go. I'll flash us to his last known location." The god said with a serious look. Thalia nods and then holds unto the god. Zeus then uses his domain to search for the demigod's energy signature.
The sky god and his daughter flashed in front of a worn out warehouse.
"That's strange, why would it lead us to a warehouse?" The god questioned. Thalia instantly recognized the warehouse as she answered her father's question.
"This is where Percy lives dad." She responded. "Are you going back to Olympus now?" The girl asked.
"No, I want to know what's happening." Zeus remarked. The father and daughter then both entered through the door. As they walked towards the living room, the king of the gods was amazed at the inside of the house. "Athena sure did a good job with this Place." 'Not as grandiose as my palace, of course.' Thought the god as they reached the living room.
"No!" The two heard someone exclaim. They looked at the source of the voice and found the goddess of the hearth looking at a giant television and crying. "Why must they split off for the girl to live!?"
"Hestia?" The god couldn't believe it. His older sister was watching a drama in the demigod's place. His voice snapped the attention of the said goddess, making her turn at the two. "What're you doing here?"
"Oh, Thalia, and Zeus." The hearth goddess muttered as she wiped the tears off her face. "I wouldn't have expected you to come here. What brings you to Percy's place?" She questioned her brother as she was shocked.
"Well..." The said brother started to explain. "My daughter here wanted to know where Artemis is. She told me that she was with Perseus the night before. I decided to flash her here as I am curious what she's doing here." He looked around once more to examine the area, but failed to find the demigod or his favourite daughter. "But I guess both of them are not here so I'll be going now." The king of the gods chose the worst timing to turn around, as the ones he was looking for came out of the room they passed by earlier.
Artemis and Percy, met eye to eye with Zeus, who did something befitting his title of being the god of dramas.
He fainted.
"Really? You're gonna faint on us?" The silver eyed goddess sighed as she muttered one more thing. "What a drama queen."
It took twenty minutes before the King of the gods woke up. "Ugh... Why does my head hurt?" The confused god asked as he looked at where he is. "This is Percy's place right? The last thing I saw was..." Zeus then remembered seeing his daughter and the demigod come out of the same room. This activated his fatherly tendencies. "Percy!" The god exclaimed. "What're you doing with my daughter!?"
The said demigod was scared. While the god in front of him is acting idiotically, Zeus still had the powers to erase him from existence. "N-nothing Lord Zeus." He stuttered. "Lady Artemis was asking for my help with regards to giving her hunters a break." He smiled nervously, hoping that the dramatic god buys his word.
He didn't.
"I don't believe any of that, demigod." The sky god's eyes cackled with lightning. "You could've discussed that here. Why do it inside your room?!" The sky god continued glaring at the son of Poseidon.
Until he was hit with a silver tiara.
"Don't go overprotective on me, you horny bastard!" Shouted the moon goddess as both Hestia and Thalia laughed at what transpired. "Besides, why do you care with who I'm with? I'm old enough to know what I'm doing!"
"But daugh-" he wasn't even able to finish his sentence as his favorite daughter clapped back.
"But what?! What are you gonna then? You're going to strike Percy with lightning until he dies?" Zeus wanted to nod at her question, but stopped when he heard her speak again. "Do that and I'll make sure you won't see me anymore."
"You wouldn't!" The dramatic god exclaimed.
"Don't test me, father." Artemis glared at her father. This made the sky god pout, which if he wasn't being threatened, Percy would've found it funny.
"Fine!" The god exclaimed, then looked at the demigod. "You better treat my daughter like the princess she is, Percy." The son of Poseidon quickly nodded at that. "I know you wouldn't do what your brother had done." Percy became angry at the mention of Orion. That bastard is not his brother.
"Does that mean you approve of him then, father?"
"I am tolerating him, daughter." Zeus replied. "I know that he makes you happy, seeing you smile when you asked me that question. That's why I'm going to give him a chance."
"So you wouldn't disband the hunters if I chose to break my oath then?"
Zeus had to swallow a lump on his throat. "I-I wouldn't, those girls would've nowhere else to go." He wasn't going to get into her daughter's bad side.
Artemis' face lit up.
"Thank you, father." The moon goddess gave her father a genuine smile. "This is too late to ask, but what brings you here?"
"Well, Thalia asked for my help. She wanted to talk to you." Zeus answered as he shrugged.
"Finally!" The lieutenant exclaimed. "I felt like I was a background character during all that." Hestia nodded in agreement to her words. "I just wanted you to know that we've found a monster camp 3 miles away from the camp. We've dealt with it and I just came here to tell you that."
Artemis smiled. "Are there any casualties?" She asked her lieutenant.
"None, Milady, though some of the hunters were hurt with bodily pain."
"I'll take that over any dead hunters." The goddess smiled once more. Things went silent before another voice joined the fray.
That was quite entertaining. The voice said, which made everyone look at the source of the said voice. It was Lady Chaos, who was looking at them with a smile.
"Lady Chaos!" Both Zeus and Thalia exclaimed and kneeled, which the primordial found funny.
"There's no need for any of you to do that." The mother of creation answered, dismissing the kneeling beings. "Are there any cookies for me to munch on?"
"Good morning to you, Chaos." Percy greeted which earned him an elbow from the goddess beside him.
"She's supposed to be respected, Percy." Artemis berated the teen.
"It's fine if it's Percy. He's earned my respect already. Besides, weren't you here the first time I came?" The primordial replied as she went to the cupboard in the kitchen to grab some cookies.
"Zeus?! What're you doing here!?" Hearing the said voice, Percy can already sense a headache coming.
Hera has just arrived.
"I'm here because of Thalia." The god answered to his wife. "You, what are you doing here?"
"I hang out here." Hera responded. "Hestia brought me here back when your daughter arrived at the camp." She gave him a light glare, which turned into a sinister smile unbecoming of her face. "But since you're here, you better stay and play."
"Play what?" The husband questioned.
"Video games."
"It's fun to see that oaf get frustrated, angry and sad when he realized that he wasn't as good as he thought he would be." Hera uttered as she laughed at her husband's expense. "I remembered the time when I was the one doing that."
"Give him some credit, Hera." Hestia replied to her sister. "He did beat you once."
"It's just once!" The goddess of matrimony exclaimed. Her husband has lucked out and brought her down before she could finish him. She was slightly livid which showed when she handily beat him the next round, giving her the win.
"Right." The goddess of the hearth and home smirked. Hera was visibly pissed off at the remark that she flashed out back to Olympus. "So Artemis, what were you doing when the two of you came out of his room?" The goddess asked as she pointed to the son of Poseidon, who was playing with his cousin. The questioned goddess waved her hands forward and quickly responded to Hestia's question.
"Nothing happened between us. At least not yet." The moon goddess replied. "Percy wanted to make sure that there's no problems when I give him myself."
"What's stopping you?" Hestia questions her.
"Now? None, actually." A sadistic smile adorned the face of the moon goddess. "You might not see him tonight." She responded as she walked off his room to think about what she's about to do, leaving the hearth goddess with the demigods.
"Percy Jackson!" The daughter of the sky god exclaimed. "Stop hitting me with combos!" She shouted as her character, Kratos, was currently getting bodied by the sea spawn's character, a Shinto goddess named Tsukuyomi. The goddess used her powers and sent beams of light that juggled her opponent.
"You'll have to stop me then!" The son of Poseidon taunted. Thalia then waited for her opponent to make a mistake so she can punish him. Percy then overextended, throwing an unnecessary kick that the girl capitalized on. Thalia then ducked, and sent a nasty uppercut towards the enemy. She followed it by utilizing the blades of chaos that Kratos uses, and slashed the poor goddess. She continued punishing Percy until his health went down to ten percent. The only thing that stopped the daughter of Zeus was the walls of the stage stopping her combo.
Percy used this chance to mount a counterattack. His cousin could only watch because in the next five seconds, the son of Poseidon bodied the lieutenant of Artemis. Thalia could only groan as the fight ended with her as the loser. "I told you to stop hitting me with combos." The girl muttered as the emerald eyed teen smirked at her.
"Then you should git gud." Percy taunted.
"Whatever!" Thalia exclaimed as she stood up from the couch. "Lady Hestia, just please take me back to the hunt. "Kelp head here doesn't know how to hold back." The hearth goddess giggled as the girl's antics. She agreed and the two of them went off, leaving the son of Poseidon.
"I guess I could pester Artemis with playing the game." Percy muttered to himself. He stood up, then approached his room. The demigod wanted to challenge the goddess in Smitten.
Oh boy, he wasn't prepared for the challenge the goddess had in mind.
A/N: Hello! Jasserru here with the latest chapter of His Place!
What could the goddess of the moon be planning? Find out on the next chapter of the story!
With Zeus getting some screen time, I guess Hera's relegated to a mother figure to Percy, or at least a close friend of some sort. I'd rather not write a dissertation about Percy taking over Olympus just because of some pssy or some sort. That's gonna be too much of a hassle.
Anyway, thank you for reading this chapter! Remember to Follow and Fave if you like to keep up with the story! Leave a review if you have something to say, and as always, thank you for reading!
