Chapter 1: If... I had a Clue. (1/3)

Stuart Walker had a routine. His morning was spent in his apartment with his two involuntary roommates. His evening was spent stalking Heather. His night was spent working at the Balkan Night Club.

But today was different, as he was currently sitting at a place called 52 Diner. Waiting for an old acquaintance of his to arrive. Stuart himself was frustrated and not exactly looking forward to this encounter as the subject of the conversation was a subject that he could honestly not care less about. I wonder what Heather is doing today. The young man wearing glasses sincerely just wanted to get this meeting over with and go see Heather. I wonder... Would Mrs. Bennett arrest me for this? Not that I don't deserve it because I know stalking someone is wrong, but... I can't help it.

Suddenly, the waitress shows up with his order, which was eggs and bacon with a cup of coffee. "Thanks..." He told the waitress. But was ignored by her. Stuart decided to just eat a bit as he waited for his acquaintance. Maybe I should shop for some groceries. Angela doesn't eat much, and Walter eats whatever he can find there. But I feel bad in leaving the two without anything since they barely leave the apartment. Actually, I never saw them leave the apartment since they started to live there with me. Stuart always wondered what exactly they did when he wasn't around.

As he eat the bacon, he looked around the diner. The place was somewhat crowded with several people eating breakfast there. Everyone honestly looked the same for Stuart, not really standing out to him in any way. Everyone so... Hollow. It was the only way he could describe the people around him. The noises around him felt repetitive and incoherent, the voices just sounded like mumbling and everyone just seemed to be caught up in their own personal lifes to care about their surroundings. I always wondered, how that feels like. It was the thought that occupied the unremarkable young man's mind. A thought that was accompanied with a bit of envy.

After a few seconds however, his acquaintance finally arrives. Cybil Bennett, she was wearing a black police coat with a green tie and green pants. Her blond hair was tied in a bum and she was wearing sunglasses. The police officer sights Stuart and approaches him. "Sorry for keeping you waiting." She apologized as soon as she sits.

"Don't worry about it..." He replied while he cut his eggs. "What did you want to talk about it...?" The one wearing glasses asked.

"I... Wanted to check on you, it's been a while since we talked." She started the conversation like that. Until the waitress interrupted. "A coffee."

Stuart just put some eggs on his mouth and chewed a bit before swallowing, then he replied. "There's nothing to check on it, everything is just the same as last time..." It was his response to her.

"Did..." She seemed reluctant to ask something. "Your mother or your brother contact or anything?"

"No," I don't know why she expected differently. "They never do..."

"Have you... Tried to... Contact them?" She asked him, before the waitress appeared with her coffee.

Why would I do that? "My brother is too busy in his new job," If you can call it that. "And my mother is too busy taking care of father." I will never step foot on Shepherd's Glen again, if I can help it.

"Oh, yes... " She awkwardly replied to what he said. "Is there... Any signs of recovery?" She asked him.

"No..." He's just vegetable now, honestly, he's as good as dead. "And I don't think he ever will." It's been four years since that happened but Stuart's mother refuses to let the poor thing that used to be his father, die.

"I see, sorry for bringing this up,." She apologized while looking sad as she and his father were very close friends. I just want this conversation to end so I can go see Heather. He thought in annoyance, not that he dislike Mrs. Bennett, he just wasn't in the mood to have this kind of conversation. Actually, he was never in the mood for it. "Stuart, don't take this the wrong way but... Besides me, have you talked with anyone at all?" She asked him before she drank her coffee.

Stuart sighed. "Just Walter, Angela, some people I serve drinks to at work, Mr. and Mrs. Sunderland and..." A name he would really like to say, was Heather, but, he never really talked to her, even though he really wants to do it.

"Oh, that's great." Mrs. Bennett seemed pleased with what Stuart said. "So, what is your relationship with this people?" She seemed curious.

"Walter and Angela..." Walter is a crazy homeless guy that followed me home one day and invited himself in and never left, and Angela is a girl that I found laying on the middle of the street during a blizzard months ago and let her stay in my apartment out of pity but just like Walter, she never left. "Are friends that I'm letting stay at my apartment until they sort themselves out." He decided to say that to avoid extending the conversation.

"Really?" She asked in disbelief. "That's really nice of you."

Not really... "Mr. And Mrs. Sunderland live in the same building as me, sometimes I babysit their daughter, Laura." But Stuart didn't like it, since Laura was a jerk that calls him Four-eyes.

"Wait, you... A babysitter?" Mrs. Bennett asked in disbelief as Stuart isn't exactly the type of person that enjoys being around children.

"I... Helped Mrs. Sunderland while she was undergoing treatment for her illness two years ago, as a favor to the superintendent of the building I live in..." I honestly only did it because Frank was desperate as he had to go grab his son, James, at a place called Heaven's Night. But it was an terrifying night for me, as it was hard to look at Mrs. Sunderland because her appearance due to the illness and she tried to to kick me out by yelling at me. But I stayed, mainly because I was afraid to get in Frank's bad side as some of the other residents. Once she yelled at me enough however, she bursted into tears and told me that her husband was cheating on her since she got sick. I... Felt really sorry for her, so I stayed there to... Try to comfort her... And came back a few times to... Check on her. A whole explanation pass through his mind but he just said. "When she... Got better, she and her husband adopted a girl named Laura and she told me, I was the only one she trusted to look after her." Mr. Sunderland doesn't really like me very much, I guess is probably because Mrs. Sunderland treats me better than him and because, and according to Mrs. Sunderland, Laura likes me more too. But I don't really think that's true.

"That's actually great, and it's really sweet of you." Mrs. Bennett told him happily. I actually tried to say no, but Mrs. Sunderland insisted so much that I ended accepting.

Stuart finished his plate, before he put the fork and knife down and decided to ask a question. "Did you really call me here to ask about me, or is this about my father's case?" He decided to ask.

Cybil looked serious and drank a bit of coffee before responding to the young man with black eyes. "Both." She admitted.

"Mrs. Bennett," Stuart drank his coffee before speaking. "I thought I made it clear that I don't care about who killed my father." He stated.

"Stuart..." She took note of the words he used. "You're father is still alive."

His expression didn't change. "His corpse is still alive..." Why do you people keep denying...? Stuart sighed and adjusted his glasses. "What do you want from me?"

"I..." She seemed a little embarrassed to ask. "Wanna know if you still, have your father's belongings?"

"Most of it is in Shepherd's Glen." He revealed to her in annoyance. Though, there was something of his father that he got. "The only thing I got is a wooden box with a lock on it."

"Wait?" Mrs. Bennett heard that last part loud and clear. "You got the box? Where is it?!"

Stuart was surprised with her reaction and decided to answer. "I... Don't know, somewhere in my apartment." I don't remember where I put it.

"Stuart, listen to me, that bo-" She was about to tell him something, but suddenly, her police radio started to act. There was some interference on it, but Stuart could hear something about a shootout. "Dammit!" The blond sounded frustrated. "I have to answer this," She informed as she stood up from her seat. "Stuart, listen to me." The young man was surprised when she placed her hand on the table. "I need you to search your apartment and find that box, there something on it that I really need it for my investigation." Stuart watched as she reached her coat and pulled something out. A phone. "Here, this is my old phone." She handed to him. "My number is in there, I really need you to call me as soon as you find that box."

Stuart Walker didn't had the time to ask any questions. Like, why was she giving him a cellphone or what was in the box. Because as soon as she handed to him, she quickly made her way out of the diner to answer the call. The young men just sat there confused, not really understanding what was so important about that box. Looking at his hand however, he noticed the cellphone. Why give me this... He thought. I don't even have anyone to call...

Not long after his conversation with Mrs. Bennett was over, Stuart decided to leave shortly after. To do the thing that usually... Always does in the evening. What are you doing? Which was stalking Heather Mason.

It didn't took long for Stuart to find her. He waited by the entrance of her home for an hour or two until she finally came out. But there was something wrong, she looked... sad. He immediately followed her, in hopes of discovering what made her like. Until she arrived at an old and abandoned playground. The girl with bleached blond hair then stood there looking around the place for several minutes, until she decided to sit down in an old swing. Why are you sad? Did something happened? The young man wearing glasses thought in worry as he hid behind a tree while observing her.

Heather barely moved and just looked at the ground with a sad face. And just seeing that, made Stuart sad too. Suddenly, however, he felt something inside the pocket on his coat vibrate. His sad face was replaced by a confused one and he reached to check. It was the cellphone they Mrs. Bennett gave it to him. Apparently, there was a message on it.

Cybil: Don't forget the box.

His confused face was replaced with one of annoyance. I'll search for it when I get home. Stuart thought in annoyance before putting the phone back on his pocket. Instantly moving his head back to Heather who hasn't moved. Her Stalker just stayed there, watching her, wondering what made her sad. Did her and Mr. Mason had a fight? No, Mr. Mason would never made her this sad, he loves his daughter too much. But what could possibly be? She was fine yesterday... Stuart kept on thinking about the cause of Heather's sadness, trying to understand it. Heather, you don't know how much it pains me to see you like this... The young man wearing glasses was sad for seeing her like that. Why are you the only one capable of making me feel like this... The only capable of... Making me feel something, other than...

"Woof!" Suddenly, Stuart's thoughts were interrupted. Turning his head to the left, he noticed that there was a dog sniffing his shoe.

"Hey, go away..." He whispered to the dog. Who just kept on sniffing his shoe. "Stop it, go away."

"Who's there?" Unfortunately, the last thing that Stuart wanted, happened. Which was Heather noticing his presence.

NO!NO!NO!NO!NO! Stuart desperately, ran away from the spot where he was hiding before he could be spotted by Heather. Running ad fast as he could, it didn't took long for Stuart to get far away from the old playground. Once he stopped running however. "Dammit!" He got really angry. My day is now ruined! Not getting enough of the sight of Heather for the day really makes his frustrated.

"Woof!" Suddenly, once again, his thoughts were interrupted. By the same dog. It was a shiba inu dog of Stuart isn't mistaking it.

"Thanks for ruining my day, you stupid dog." Stuart told the dog while folding his arms in anger.

The dog seemed to have understood as it made a sound like it was sad and looked down in response.

Stuart sighed after seeing that, feeling bad for what he said. "Sorry, I just really, really, really wanted to see that girl a little more." He apologized. "Which I know that it is bad, so, you probably just wanted to let me know... So... Good dog."

That seemed to have cheered the dog up a bit. "Woof." It barked happily at Stuart.

The Stalker then looked around a bit, luckily there was no one around to see him talking to a dog. Then he looked at the dog and noticed that it had a collar. He knelled down to check it out and found a name on it. "Mira..." It was written on the collar. "Is this your name?"

"Woof!" She barked to him happily, confirming Stuart's question.

"So... Mira... You having a collar means that you have an owner, so, where is she or he?" He asked the dog, not re expecting an answer.

"Woof!" Mira barked to him once more, but Stuart couldn't understand it.

Honestly, I can't follow Heather anymore today. So... I think I'm gonna go home to look for the box. Stuart thought, still annoyed that he can't see Heather a little more. "Well, run back to your owner now Mira." He told the dog, before he turned his back to her and started to leave.

"Woof!"

"No! You can't stay in my home!"

After his unfortunate interruption of his daily activity of stalking Heather Mason was interrupted by an adorable dog. Stuart, although frustrated about it, returned to his home earlier than usual after doing a bit of shopping for groceries. Only to be surprised by Mira, who apparently followed Stuart home instead of going back to her owner. Now, he was standing in front of the door of his room , trying to shoo the dog away.

"Woof!" The dog kept on insisting instead of going away though.

"Mira, you're owner is probably worried about you, are you just going to leave him or her like that." Stuart Walker must have gone insane. He was trying to argue with a dog.

"Woof!" Suddeny, Mira started to bark angrily, but it wasn't towards Stuart. It was more towards what he said. Then she sat on the floor and looked at Stuart with literal puppy eyes. Practically begging him to let her stay.

Stuart could only stare at the dog's eyes. Not really understanding why is this dog so interested in staying with him. But he felt bad in leaving the dog out there, it took a short while of consideration, until Stuart finally made a decision. "Fine," It was his decision. "But you gonna have two rules, no noise, and don't make a mess."

"Woof!" She barked happily, which Stuart took it as a yes.

This is a bad idea, but... It was Stuart's opinion about this situation. Mainly because his apartment was already full. But... There are no regulations about how many people can live there or about having pets and since it's cheaper than the other apartments, it left extra money for groceries. So, having a dog was a possibility.

Upon entrance, Stuart saw his roommates doing... Something. Walter was standing in front of the bookshelf where Stuart's collection of Harry Mason's books were, there was also a radio there, which Stuart listened to it from time to time. Strangely, he was listening to a song, that was in an acceptable volume.

Your gentle voice I hear
Your words echo inside me
You said you long for me
And that you love me
And I want to see you too
Feels just like I'm falling
Is there nothing I can do
Wonder if you hear my calling

I didn't know he liked music. Stuart thought as he took the groceries he brought to the Kitchen and started to put them into place.

I'm here and waiting for you
Where are you, I can't find you
I'm here and waiting for you
I'll wait forever for you

Mira strangely moved towards the radio, and climbed the chair in between the bookshelf and the TV.

Mom's gone to heaven now
Why won't she come back down
Does she have someone she loves more than me

Once he finished placing the groceries in the proper spots, he moved towards Mira.

I thought I could love you better
We were always together
If we took some time apart
You would finally know my heart

Walter seemed to be enjoying the song because he was listening to it very closely.

I'm here and waiting for you
Where are you, I can't find you
I'm here and waiting for you
I'll wait forever for you

After patting Mira's head, Stuart checked the chair to see if she needed something.

I fell in love with you and now you're gone
There's nothing left within my lonely room without you

The chair seemed nice enough, maybe he could buy some dog things tomorrow.

I'm here and waiting for you
Where are you, I can't find you
I'm here and waiting for you
I'll wait forever for you

He looks around and noticed that Angela wasn't around.

I'm here and waiting for you
Where are you, I cannot... I cannot find you
I'm waiting for you
Where are you, where are you

Suddenly, the song ended. Once it did, Walter turned the radio off and moved his head to the right, where he saw Mira and Stuart. His expression didn't change, but he approached the two and got to one knee. "What's her name?" He asked while patting her head.

"Woof!" She barked happily to Walter.

"Her name is Mira," Stuart told him. "Do you have a problem if she stays with us?" It's not like he needed Walter's permission as the apartment was his, but.

"No, she's beautiful." Walter spoke with a smile before he continued to pat her.

"Woof!" Mira seemed to like Walter.

"Where's Angela?" Stuart asked Walter as he stood up.

"Shower."

Angela showered a lot. Which was strange since she never leaves the apartment and the heat there was decent, so a warn or cold shower was pretty unnecessary.

Stuart then made his way back to the kitchen, passing through the hole on the wall. I thought the neighbor only spied on us in the morning. He could tell that he was being spied by his neighbor through the hole on the wall. Wait, does she spy all day? This is the first time he ever returned this earlier, so he never really payed attention to that.

Going to the fridge, he grabbed a bottle of chocolate milk that he decided to gulp it down.

"Why are you back?" Suddenly, Stuart heard someone behind him. He turned around, only to see Angela with her hair wet.

He swallowed the chocolate milk before replying. "I live here." It was the truth.

"But, you always come back at night." Angela said while hugging her arms.

"I came back earlier today." He informed her.

"Did something happened for you to come home earlier?" She asked him.

Stuart was confused, Angela has been staying there for some time. But the only word she ever spoke to Stuart was Pig.

"Woof!" Mira's bark scared Angela, causing her to jump to the side. She then looked at Mira with a strange look.

"Yes, I found this dog and she followed me home." He answered Angela's question, without mentioning that she interrupted his stalking of Heather. "She's gonna live with us."

Angela didn't react to what Stuart said. She just looked at him with her usual sad look. "Welcome home."

Hearing that surprised Stuart, mainly because it came from Angela as he always got the impression that she hated him. "Umm..." Before he could say anything to her, she walked back to the living room and curled up on her chair. Walter sat on the couch as always and turned on the TV. Mira just went to the chair next to the TV. Leaving Stuart at the kitchen to wonder. How did I end up with them? He thought as he drank the chocolate milk.

A few hours has passed, with Stuart basically doing nothing all day. His evening were usually spent watching Heather. And the Balkan Night Club was closed that day. So the young man had nothing to do for the day.

So he decided to just lay on the bed for the rest of the day. Staring at the blurry ceiling without his glasses while thinking about Heather. Why were you sad today? What happened? It was all that occupied his mind, the sight of Heather being sad really made him sad as well. That's the strange effect that Heather Mason had on Stuart Walker. She was the only one that could make him feel anything other than numbness, which is why he had to see her every day.

Suddenly, the phone started to ring right besides him, not his phone, but the cellphone that Ms. Bennett gave him. Reluctantly, Stuart reached for the cellphone and pick it up. "Hello...?" His vision was blurry without the glasses, so he didn't even bother to see who was calling him.

"Hey, little brother." The voice was his brother's

"How...Did...You...Got...My... Number... Bene?" Stuart asked slowly, doing his best to hide his deep annoyance. I'm gonna have to either get rid of this phone.

"Ms. Bennett gave it to me, she said that she gave you the phone as a gift." Bene explained.

Oh god, please tell me that she didn't give the number to my mom. "Okay, why did you call me?"

"To check on you." Lie. "Also, I was wondering if you could land me som-"

"I have to go, talk to you some other time." Or never... Stuart hang up his phone as he could tell that his brother was going to ask for money, again. I guess his new "job" didn't work out. He put the cellphone back where it was, which was besides the regular phone and his glasses. Thank you Ms. Bennett, now I'm gonna have to deal with brother's money requests. He thought in deep frustration. Stuart then remembered something. Speaking of her, I still have to find that box.

The young man reluctantly reached for his glass, before he rolled out of the bed to begin his search. Unfortunately, he doesn't remember, where he left that box. Though he 8s certain that it's on his room somewhere. So he searched on his closet where his usual attire was hanging. But there was nothing there, then he looked under the bed. Oh, there it is. It was much easier than he expected.

Okay... He reached for and pull it from under the bed. Let's see, what exactly did you left her dad? He thought as unlocked the lock on it. It was a three digit lock. Not exactly hard to figure it out, his dad had the same password for everything. "Seven,Seven,Seven." He spoke out loud as he unlocked.

What the hell? It was his first thought once opened the box. Inside of it, there was three peculiar items.

A revolver, a 38 Special if Stuart isn't mistaking it.

A strange looking diary, that Stuart actually remembers. As he saw his father writing on it everyday.

The last item, was a small pile of photos at the bottom of it. Five photos to be more precise. He decided to inspect one by one.

The first picture showed a very strange looking group of people standing in front of a church. The picture was relatively old, so it might have been took a long time ago.

The second picture showed a strange duo, two man wearing white robes and very strange masks inside a room with several empty cages around them. One mam was on the right and he was a wearing a strange cloth with cross on it. The other was more disturbing, his mask resembled a pyramid and he was carrying a spear.

The third picture showed three man standing in front of the table. The three man were pretty unremarkable but for some reason, Stuart thinks they look... Evil.

The fourth picture showed a middle aged man in front of a strange looking orphanage with several kids on the entrance.

The fifth and last picture showed... A little girl sitting on a swing. Wait, she looks... Familiar. That was a understatement, Stuart can tell that he knows her, but he doesn't know from where. She seemed to be seven years old, having pale skin, dark brown eyes, and very dark brown short hair, with bangs covering the right side of her face. She was wearing a navy school outfit with white socks and black dress shoes. The familiar girl looked really sad.

I... I know this girl but, from where? Stuart was certain that he knows who she is, but he can't remember. It was all that occupied his mind now.

Stuart just looked at that photo for nearly an hour, trying to remember where he saw that girl before. Until he noticed a detail on the photo, which was the surrounding. It was a nice looking playground that... Resembled the old playground where he found Mira.

And that swing...

HEATHER?!

Thanks everyone for following and favoritism my story. Your support means the world for me and a very happy New Year to everyone.

Questions and Answers:

Stuart Walker? you mean Shit Walker! rofl lmfao

Wow... How original... Have nice day.

Now this is an interesting concept! I'm praying for an update!

Imagine every single silent hill game mixed into a single narrative but on a reimagining style like Shattered Memories.

Oh boy going to have to brush up on my silent hill knowledge been a while

….. Walker certainly has some interesting flat mates haha Walter at least seems to like Stuart for what that's worth I suppose as for Angela I hope she warms to him soon

Walker being a Stalker of Heathers was unexpected but at least he doesn't seem to be a full on 100% creepy psycho stalker more just a very lonely one going to be interesting to see what happens if Heather speaks to him

Going to be interesting to see what kind of forms the demons who'll haunt Stuart take when the fog rolls in I mean would have been interesting if Stuart had few if any demons and this was more about him helping other people deal with theirs but from the looks of it he'll definitely have a few hope he can deal with them

Also glad to see seemingly that this is a harem pairing

Walter in content with just living on his "mother".

Unfortunately, Angela will have to rely on Stuart to protect from a certain... Pig.

He's more on the pathetic Stalker category than the psycho one.

It's not just demons unfortunately, he will also have to face a certain cult which are on their maximum strength in here.

Stuart only has eyes for Heather, but he involuntarily attracts a considerable number of ladies.

OK WTF is going on?

Walter Sullivan actually living in apartment 302 as a freeloader.

Angela actually living there too.

Eileen is the one spying through the hole.

Heather being stalked by the protagonist.

And most important of all, they all actually live in Silent Hill.

I really wanna know where this is going.

That's the best way to describe it.

She's... Hiding from a certain... Abstract figure in her life.

Yes, she is spying on her neighbor.

Technically yes.

Silent Hill is a habitable town
