Last Days at Hogwarts
(Fred's POV)
The Quidditch Final is wild and all of our hearts are racing. The stadium is complete chaos, green and red covered bodies jumping everywhere. Gryffindor is so close to winning the cup. Everyone is waving flags and screaming from excitement. I'm watching Harry zoom by on his Firebolt like a mad man. I see Hermione in the corner of my eye coming up to us finally. I haven't seen her since she asked me about Malfoy. She smiled that smile that makes my heart drop and I smile back.
"Hey," she yells.
"Hey," I yell back, handing her a Gryffindor flag.
"GO, GO, GRYFFINDOR!" We roar with the crowd. I see Harry flying fast on his Firebolt, knocking Draco out of the way. He lunges himself forward and he catches the snitch. The crowd's voice, vibrates the whole stadium. I scream and pick up Hermione, twirling her around the crowd.
GRYFFINDOR WINS!

I haven't seen Hermione, Harry or Ron in over 24 hours. Every time I look for them in the common they're not there. I'm sitting in the Great Hall, listening to everyone continue the never-ending high of Gryffindor winning the cup. It's been a week and the buzz hasn't dyed down one bit. I haven't got to see Hermione much because she has been studying like crazy. The thought of her must have been magic because the next thing I know she appears.
"Fred," she says smiling, looking exhausted.
"Granger," where have you been?" I ask.
"It's a long story, would you like to chat?" She asks, motioning me to the outside.
"Sure," I agree, walking with her outside. We walk to Hagrid's because he was running errands in the school. We walk inside his hut and his dog clobbered me with drool.
"Where have you guys been?" I ask again curious.
She then tells me an untamed story about where she has been. She tells me about her time turner. How they saved Buckbeak from being executed. How Sirius Black is Harry's godfather and he didn't turn on Potters and was wrongfully prisoned. How Sirius loved Lily and James and Ron's rat, Peter, was the one who told where the Potters were hiding, leading to their deaths.
"Ron's rat was a snitch and Animagas?" I question, processing the story.
"Yes, Harry's godfather is also an Animagus. Oh, Professor Lupin is a werewolf, and tried to kill us," she sighed from exhaustion.
"So, you're telling me that you've had this magical device of time travel around your neck and you never thought to share that info? You know how much fun we could have with that thing?" I say, acting hurt.
"That's all you got from my story?" She laughs, laying done on the stoned wall.
"Well, it's pretty wicked that Lupin is a werewolf after all," I laugh, laying next to her.
"How are you not shocked by any of this?" She asks.
"I don't know, you three seem to find trouble every year, I'm just trying to enjoy being at Hogwarts," I laugh.
"We helped Black escape with Buckbeak. I broke him out of his cell," Hermione admitted.
"Well, look at you, breaking the law and yet, I get criticized daily just for breaking minor school rules," I mock. "From you no less!"
"You'll keep this between us, won't you?" She pleaded.
"Of course," I laugh, "who would believe me anyway?"
"I'm just glad we were able to save Harry's godfather, he needs a good family figure," she says hopeful.
"Well, sadly he'll be on the run it seems, hopefully Potter can catch a break soon," I say honestly.
"He's a bit attractive for a Azkaban escapee," she says lost in thought.
"Hermione Granger! I never thought I'd hear something like that exit your mouth," I say shocked. She laughs and sits up. "So, what's the deal with you and Draco? Did you confront him yet?" I question.
"I haven't seen Malfoy, I plan to talk to him when I see him," she says.
"Oh," I say disappointed.
"It's not going to work out," she says, looking at me.
"Really?" I say excitedly.
"Yes, you were right, some people never change," she accepts before standing.
"You are always trying to save everyone, you need to realize that not everyone can be saved. We need evil to balance out the good anyway," I say.
"What books have you been reading?" She laughs, pushing me over.
"Hey! Don't shove me you prisoner smuggler! Im not shaped like you I'm weak," I say, lifting back up. "And I read, just trying to be positive," I smile angelically.
"I was wondering if you maybe wanted to spend time together this summer?" She asked.
"Can't go a whole summer without seeing me, huh granger," I wink.
"Shut it," she said before walking away. She turns around before going back inside.
"I'm thrilled to spend some of the summer with you," she smiles and then walks inside.

We're at King's cross station and I'm looking around for Hermione.
"So, who gave you the owl?" I ask Ron, looking around.
"A friend of a friend," Ron said, seeming secretive.
"So, no more mourning over Scabbers?" I ask slyly.
"Pfft, no," he says.
I finally see Hermione and walk over. I stop when I see Draco walk up to her.
"Can we just talk?" Draco pleaded.
"Draco, you're a liar and a literal snake," she snapped at him.
"I'm not a liar, you just are making things up in your head. If you would just listen to me," he said.
"I have to go Draco, the train is leaving," she says.
"Just let me visit you so we can talk, we can at least be friends right?" He said pitifully.
"Friends?" Hermione said.
"Yes, please, just friends," he said.
"Ok," she agreed. She walked away from him and looked up to see my face. She smiles and runs over to me. I see Draco death stare me before heading on the train.
"Fred! I'm glad I saw you before we boarded. Do you want to come by my house tonight for dinner? We can start the summer off together," she smiled happily.
"That sounds amazing," I smile.
"So, how are you and Angelina then?" She asked randomly.
"We decided that we're better off friends," I said, shrugging.
"Oh, that's too bad," she says smiling.
"Yeah, you look real devastated about it," I smile. She hugs me hard. I watch her get on the train and then hop on. I go to my cabby and see George messing with our pixie invention.
"We really need a shop Freddie so we have more space to work on these," he said not looking up.
"I know, but unless you know a way to rob Gringotts, I say we're broke fools," I say sitting down.
"So, I saw you hugging Hermione a bit longer than needed for a goodbye," he looks up grinning mischievously.
"She asked me to visit her muggle family," I said grinning.
"Well, look at you, got the girl after all," he says.
"Not yet, we haven't talked about that," I said.
"This whole thing has been an exhausting emotional labyrinth, for some reason I feel apart of it and I'm ready to exit. So, you better figure this out when you go visit her or I'll literally date her myself," he snips.
"Well, aren't we a ray of sunshine? Personality like yours, it's a wonder you're single."
"Let's take the single jokes and put them in a box," he says motioning to an invisible box.
I look out the train window and smile to myself.
It's going to be a great summer.
