"Aw yeah!" Mikey yells as he skateboards along the skate ramp. "Check out my sweet moves, Shini." Since nothing happened on patrol, they decided
to visit the Mighty Mutanimals to gather any information Karai may have gathered. Shinigami stands on the sidelines as she watches Mikey perform
a few tricks. Meanwhile, everyone else is gathered around a table with maps of New York. "Have you got anything at all, Karai?" Leo asks. "I wish I
had Leo, but so far we haven't had any luck on finding Shredder's secret lair. Especially since there haven't been any foot sightings, we can't gather
any more information than what we have now," Karai answers. Leo looks over the Mutanimals. "What about you guys? Any luck?" Leo asks. "Same
thing, everything has been quiet except for the common thugs and all. Sorry" Slash says. Leo then rubs his eyes in frustration. "Great. So we have
nothing."
Everyone looks at each other worryingly. Taking notice of the leader's distress. Karai tries putting a hand on Leo's shoulder to calm him a bit but Leo
moves away. "I'm fine, Karai. I just need a minute," Leo then leaves the building to get some air. "Donnie, is Leo okay?" Raph asks as he watches
Leo leave. "To be honest, I'm not sure, he said he's been having strange dreams of our time up in space. but I didn't see anything physically wrong
with him. These past few weeks have been stressful for him since there hasn't been anything going on with the Foot," he answers. "But I've never
seen him this stressful," Raph adds. "Leo just needs some time to think things over, he'll be okay," Mikey says. "Let's hope so guys," Raph says.
"Come on, let's go over and see if we did miss anything, it might help.
Leonardo takes a deep breath as he looks over the city. He feels it. A sensation racing through his body. As if something has been calling to him.
He's been feeling it since they left the planet of the Eons, but now back on Earth, it's gotten stronger, it is clawing at him trying to get out. 'Come on
Leo, stop ignoring it'
Taking one last breath, he stands straight and clears his mind. Slowly, he raises a hand and calls out. "Alaka Majii" A swirl of magical energy then
materializes from his hand, transforming into a scythe. Leonardo is beyond shocked and for once, he feels in control. He does a few test strikes,
light and easy to maneuver. He then slashed across an AC unit, slicing it in half. "Looks like those dreams were useful," he says. The dreams he's
been having were not only of planets and galaxies, but he's heard words, languages he never heard of, but they all felt familiar. Okay so far so good.
Dispersing the scythe, he swings his arms up, around, and makes a circle with his hands. Putting all of his focus into energy, he calls, "Mor v'ah."
After enchanting the word, a blast of smoke appears in front of him, Leonardo takes a step back to take in the creature that immerses from within
the smoke. A large white lion of blue accents on its body, its black sclera brings out its shimmering cobalt eyes.
Leo takes a deep breath. "I'm sorry Siran, for not bringing you out more often. It's just—hey!" Leo is then cut off as the lion, Siran, pounces Leo to the ground, licking his face and nuzzling his head. Leonardo laughs at the motion. "Okay, okay, okay, I get it! I'm happy to see you too." Leo manages to sit up and wrap his arms around the lion's face, nuzzling back. "You seem to be the only good thing of this magic." The lion purrs in response. "I've been feeling something since we came back from space. I figured it was you trying to bug me to get out." Leo teased. "But now that you are here, it hasn't gone away. Do you know what it is?" Lion looks into Leo's desperate eyes but shakes his head, disappointing Leo further. "I need answers, these nightmares, these feelings, I don't know why I'm having them. Ugh, why did I have to touch that stupid shrine!" Leo yells. Siran growls. "Sorry, sorry, I forgot you react to my emotions." Leonardo lays back down with Siran laying his head on his plastron and looks at the stars above. He knows his family and friends are doing their best to find information about Shredder, but Leo can't help but feel he's letting everyone down. And not knowing the sensations and dreams he's been having hasn't made it any easier for him.
He decides that's enough for tonight, he needs to go back and help his team instead of moping around. "Come on Siran, I have to get back." Leo
tries getting up but Siran rather be stubborn. "If I stay out any longer they'll get worried. I'm not ready to show them to you yet." Siran still doesn't
move. "How about this. If I promise to take you out more, will you get off of me?" That caught the lion's attention as it lifted its head to lick Leo's
cheek. "Hahaha, alright then, it's a promise. Mor v'oh. And with that Siran disappears. Leo, reluctantly, starts jumping from rooftop to rooftop back
to the Mighty Mutanimals' lair. One rooftop away, he suddenly stops. The feeling became stronger. He looks around but sees nothing. He didn't dare
move. He felt the presence of someone close by. The odd sensation vibrated from it, so much it made his head hurt. He reaches for his katanas.
"Leonardo"
Suddenly, a dark figure appears in his field of vision. He could see the outline of it but could figure out what the heck it was. He doesn't respond.
"Leonardo?" it called out again. Leo grips the hilt of the katana harder.
"Who are you?" he breathed. The strange form stepped forward. The faint light illuminated it. The figure was around 6 feet. While the darkness did
cover its entire being, he could make out what appeared to be a long weapon on its back. "Answer me!" The figure came closer. Leonardo watched
the scene anxiously. "I'm warning you!" However, the figure doesn't listen and continues to walk forward with small steps. Leo has had enough.
"That's it! Alaaka Majii!" Abandoning his weapons, he stretches his hand forward, summoning not one, but two scythes.
That had stopped the figure completely, but Leo still couldn't see its face. "It….It truly is you!" The figure says leaving Leo in total confusion. "Alright, I haven't been in a good mood lately, tell me who you are or you'll regret it!" Great. He's starting to sound like Raph.
"Please calm down," Issac said. "I promise I'm not your enemy." Leo didn't move. He merely waited for him to come closer into view
"Who are you then?" Leo spoke uncertainty.
"I am merely a friend. My name is Issac. You know I saw what you did, your powers are pretty impressive,"
Leo went wide-eyed in disbelief, he never felt anyone close by until now. Some ninja he is.
"Are you a mutant then, Issac?" Leo asks, avoiding the compliment.
"No," Issac said confidently.
Leo looks at him not sure what to make of the situation he's in. But he had to know who he was dealing with. "Come into the light," He says. Issac is
hesitant but slowly walks out of the shadows. Leo now had a better view and could see he had a light shade of green. He wore some sort of armor
on his right shoulder, arms, and legs. And was wearing a helmet that covered his entire face except for his eyes, which were a bright turquoise. Leo
impulsively took a few steps forward to get a better look and could properly see he had a…..plastron. And a shell. The stranger must have read his
thoughts as he knocked on the plastron gently.
"I am a turtle, Leo"
Leo's eyes grew wide, as he could see it; he was indeed a turtle. Another turtle it was? But how?
Leo then raises his scythe defensively again. "You just said you weren't a mutant, so what are you exactly?" Leo questions. Issac raises his hands in
surrender to not look so much of a threat. Doesn't do much though. "My species are like us. We are born as turtles, humanoid turtles really.
Although we normally wear clothes."
Now Leo is seriously confused. "What do you mean by us? I wasn't born. I was created by the Kraang's mutagen." Issac says nothing. "Look," Leo
starts putting down his weapons slowly. "I've been having an odd sensation and it's gotten stronger since I've come back to Earth. Was it you?"
"You touched an altar, right?" Issac asks and Leo nods. "Was it something that felt familiar to you? He nods again.
Issac then sighed, having the look of hesitation, as if not ready to share what he knew. "Look, Leo, What I am about to tell you is the truth. It may
be shocking at first, but it's true and you must believe me." Leo wasn't liking where this was going but he had to find out what he's been feeling.
"Alright."
"On my planet, these altars were a gift from the gods where we could use them to contact one another from the far reaches of the galaxy. They
used to be one on every planet across our solar system but not many survived the…war."
"So, you were sending me something telepathically then," Leo says
"Not exactly. You felt it intuitively. You would have to be born of our species to feel it, no other has this power except us." Issac explained and waited
for the realization to kick in. Leonardo felt the conversation going in the wrong direction.
"I don't get it. I told you I wasn't born, I was created!" Leo didn't know. He didn't want to know.
"You really don't understand, do you, Leonardo?"
"A-Anyway, how do you know my name?" Leo asked, avoiding the previous topic. Something told him it was best if he didn't know what he was
talking about.
Issac was about to speak when he heard a voice. "Leo! Where are you?" Both turtles looked in the direction of the voice to see Raph atop the
Mutanimals building. "Raph?" Leo says and looks back to see Issac gone, in his place lay a note.
If you wish to know more, meet me back here tomorrow at midnight.
Hopefully, you will know the truth then. You bear the mark Leonardo.
I
What does it mean 'bare the mark' and how the hell does he know my name!? Leo thought. "Leo!" He looks back to see Raph coming his way and
quickly hides the note. "Where were you?!" Raph yells.
"Whoa! Easy Raph, I was getting some air to remember. I needed to get away, that's all." Leo answers.
"I get that, but you could've at least picked up your shell cell." Leo raised a brow and pulled out his phone to see six missed calls. "I'm Sorry Raph, I guess I had the ringer off. I was on my back anyway."
"Yeah, no kidding!" Raph says. "Come on I'll contact the guys, tell 'em your okay." Leo moves to follow but looks back at the spot where Issac just
was. Even though Issac gave somewhat of an explanation on why had powers, he didn't have time to explain the how. Instead of more answers,
Leonardo has more questions. And he's going to find out one way or another.
Yay! The second chapter is done, took a while since I did a few changes and added things in but I got it done. I already started some of chapter 3 but I don't have a lot of time on my hands and don't get me started on Destiny that's coming soon! Bye!
