The Shed

(Fred's POV)

I've lost my nerve. I'm anxious as hell and I don't know why. Scratch that I do know why, she has long curls and knows absolutely everything besides maybe things dealing with Trelawney's teachings. Which I have to say, that old bat is right every once in a while so, no shade from me. I feel restless and my hands are sweaty. Fuck. School was easy because we just flirted, now that she has had time to heal her inner wounds, it can lead to something I've been wanting for so long.

"We're here!" Ginny yells, walking through the door. I look in my mirror one last time. Tuck my shaggy hair behind my ear and fake smile. I walk down the stairs and walk past Ginny.

"Well, hi to you too," she says before walking into the kitchen. I walk outside and see Hermione staring off into the forest surrounding our home. I pick a purple wild flower by my feet and just look at her. She turns around and jumps.

"Oh, what are you doing creeper?" She laughs, walking towards me.

"Just like looking at you," I say, putting the wild flower behind her hair.

"Thanks," she smiles, tucking her curly hair behind her ear.

"You look beautiful," I say, touching the flower lightly. She blushes and looks down at her feet.

"You look beautiful too," she laughs. I grab her chin lightly and lift it up to me.

"If it's worth saying, it's worth eye contact," I whisper before lightly kissing her on he cheek. She looks deeply in my eyes and I don't know why but they seem lost. "What's wrong?" I ask, tone changing to serious.

"Nothing," she smiles, "just long day."

"Well, let's go inside?" I offer, moving aside for her to walk. She smiles and walks inside. I grab her bag and carry it in behind her. We walk upstairs and I start to go in my room.

"Pump the hormone breaks brother, she will be boarding with Ginny," Percy says, grabbing her bag.

"Why are you even here? Shouldn't you be at the Ministry? Not changing the world for the better? I said annoyed.

"Is that the way you should talk to someone who's trying to help Hermione with her situation?" He snaps. I look over at Hermione and she looks uncomfortable.

I snatch her bag from him. "I'll take it to Ginny's room, and thanks by the way." I roll my eyes and walk into my room.

"I'm sorry for that thickhead," I say sincerely, setting her bag by my bed.

"Don't be," she says softly, sitting on my bed.

"Hermione what's wrong?" I ask again, sitting next to her. The energy just feels off and I can't explain why.

"I think I just need to nap," she sighs laying down.

"Oh, okay, I'll leave," I say starting to get up. She grabs my arm sending chills down my spine.

"Will you lay with me?" She pleads, getting under the covers.

"What if I said no?" I question, taking my shoes off.

"Your loss," she shrugs, laying on her side. I slide inside the covers next to her where we are facing each other.

"I'd be a fool," I whisper, I pull the flower out of her hair and set it on the side table. I tuck the loose strand that fell behind her ear. She grabs my pinky with her pinky.

"Thank you," she whispers. She closes her eyes.

"Hermione?" I ask.

"Hmm?"

"Can I take you on a date, maybe?" I question. Her eyes open. My heart starts to race and I hope she can't hear it pressing hard against my chest.

"Of course," she laughs, tucking my hair behind my ear.

"Brilliant," I smile, watching her close her eyes again. I hear her breathing go heavier and know I've lost her to sleep. Her olive skin seems shinier and she smelled minty. I hear the door open and look up.

"Nice," George mouths slyly, sticking up his two thumbs.

"Would you stop!" I mouth silently.

"Don't mind me, I'll come back later," he whispers shutting the door back. I roll my eyes and nuzzle back into my pillow. I'm so comfortable with her that I start to doze too.

Nox.

XXXXXXXXXXX

I'm walking outside to our shed in the very back of our yard, right before the forest line. I walk in and turn flick my wand, the lights flickers a few times before turning on. I sigh to myself looking at the mess. There's spiderwebs everywhere, dust suffocating everything, a complete disaster. Good thing we live in a world of magic and the Scouring Charm is my mum's specialty. I wave my wand and cleaning items start moving to do their jobs. I smile.

"Hey," George says, appearing behind me, I jump into a tower of boxes.

"For Merlin's sake George," I say, grabbing my chest.

"You need to be more aware of your surroundings brother," he says, walking into the shed. He walks to the dusty orange couch by the window and waves his wand. The couch clears of dust and he sits down.

"What's everyone doing?" I ask, walking over to some boxes to look for our small globe string lights. I rummage through the dusty boxes and find the lights."Help me with these."

"Why are you going through all this trouble?" He says, grabbing some of the lights. We walk around hanging the lights around the shed.

"I just want it to go perfect," I shrug.

"I think someone was slipped a love potion," he says mocking. "Speaking of I perfected the Cupid Crystals for our shop, I may or may not have almost kissed Angelina testing them out," he smirks.

"Did you?" I say curiously in thought.

"Yes, wait, you didn't retort, are you falling for her?" He questions, hanging up the last strand of lights.

"I," I start to say and Ron busts throw the doorway.

"Why are you cleaning out the shed?" Ron says, walking inside.

"Don't you have somewhere to be?" George says annoyed.

"Harry, Ginny and I are going to go get some Butterbeers, I actually was coming to see if you guys have seen Hermione?" He questions looking around.

"Um," I start to say.

"She went to visit her parents so, I'd just go ahead and leave," George says quickly, looking over at me and back at Ron.

"Really? But she just," Ron starts to say.

"You know what? I'll go with you guys," George shrugs, winking at me. "Let's go." Before Ron could protest they are out the door. I sigh to myself, George will expect a favor for this.

I go outside the shed and grab the box of stuff I brought with me. I put a purple blanket on the now clean square table. I pull out two candles and set them straight up on the table.

"Incendio," I whisper, waving my wand, fire appearing on the wick of the candle. I smile at the flames and pull out a bunch of food and Elderflower wine made from elder trees. My dad had a ton of it left over from the Quidditch World Cup. Didn't get to drink much of it due to the incident that happened.

I finish setting up and look at the scene i've created. Cleaned, romantic lighting, good food, wine, I'm think Im ready. I walk back to burrow and race up to Ginny's room. I wipe my long white dress shirt of any dust. I push my hands through my shaggy red hair and sniff my shirt. I feel a sweat hit chest as the door opens.

"De toute beauté," I huff, becoming speechless. Her hair was flowing down to her mid waist, wavy and shining. She had a black dress that snugged her curves and went down to little above her knee. Her heels were also black and the strap was intwining up her leg. None of that mattered though compared to those twinkling dark brown eyes and that smile that I got quickly lost in.

"De toute beauté?" She laughs. "Since when do you know French?"

"I know French? Wicked," I wink, bowing and handing out my arm for her to cuff. I walk her outside and wave my wand. A trail of jars filled with balls of lights, light up the trail to the shed.

"De toute beauté," she smirks, looking up at me. We walk along the trail to the shed and I open the door. She walks in looking around and sitting down.

"Vin?" I question, lifting up the wine bottle.

"Oui merci," she says, making my insides melt to the floor.

"Ok look, I'm all out on the French, the other words I know are not appropriate," I smile, pouring her some wine. I sit down across from her and admire her again.

"What?" She smirks, trying to wipe the instant flush in her cheeks.

"I just, can't take my eyes off you," I whisper, putting my elbows on the table and resting my chin in my hands.

"Stop," she says blushing, breaking away from my eye contact.

"So, what would you like to eat?"

"What do we have?" She questions.

"Well, for dessert we have Sticky Toffee Pudding and then for," I start to say.

"Yes, pudding!" She says excitedly.

"You want to start with dessert?" I question reaching fo the treat.

"Always," she says smiling.

"I knew I liked you for a reason," I smile handing it over to her. She starts to eat and I watch the reflection of the flames bounce of her shiny lips. She takes her wine glass and starts to drink a good portion of her glass.

"Are you not going to eat?" She questions, eyeing me curiously, sitting her glass down.

"Not hungry," I admit. My stomach feels in knots so food probably would make me spew and I don't want that to be branded in her memory.

"Then why are we eating," she laughs.

"Because you're hungry, duh," I laugh, pouring some more wine in our glasses. She takes her glass and drinks, while eyeing me.

"What?" I laugh.

"Oh, I don't know, just thought this was a staring contest," she smirks.

"Well, if it was you would lose my dear," I say. She smiles before finishing her drink and picking at the dessert.

"I want to take you somewhere," I say randomly.

"Now?" She questions, wiping her mouth with her napkin.

"Whenever," I shrug, smile never leaving my face.

"Ok," she says suspiciously, standing up from her chair.

"We have to fly to get there," I admit, standing up to grab my broom.

"Fred," she whines, I grab the wine and walk outside.

"Hermione, do you trust me?" I ask, reaching for her hand. She looks at me deeply, trancing me in her stare.

"Yes," she says, grabbing my hand and sitting in front of me on the broom. Her body grazes me and it causes my pants to become tight. I let out a breath.

"Ready?"

"Ready," she says, grabbing my legs tight.

She'll be the death of me.
