Hey, so basically, this story is based on Disney's Encanto but features Pokémon characters as the Madrigals. However, not all the Madrigals in this story are related by blood and are instead only a family because of their magical capabilities. (So I can ship some characters and still give them both magic powers)

When a child in the Encanto village turns of age, there is a possibility that Casita will choose them to become a Madrigal and construct a magical door for them inside itself. The child will then go live in the Casita the day before the ceremony takes place.

The Madrigals are also known by their 'power' names, and not their actual names. For example, the character that is 'replacing' Mirabel is Moon, but everyone in the village calls her Mirabel, making her name Moon "Mirabel" Madrigal. (This story is also more modern)

I hope this makes enough sense that you can actually enjoy this story!

The Family Madrigal

Moon 'Mirabel' Madrigal pulled the plates out of the dishwasher and stacked them on the bench in the kitchen. Casita slid the tiles underneath them over to the shelves, putting the dishes into their correct cupboards. Three kids (maybe five years old) bounded up to Casita's window as Moon watered the plants by the sink.

"Mirabel!" one shrieked. "It's a Madrigal!" She shook her friend aggressively.

"I mean, yeah, this house happens to belong to the Madrigals," Moon said.

"Can you tell us your Gift?" the boy asked.

"Yeah!" the second girl chirped.

"Who's asking?" Moon said, raising an eyebrow teasingly.

"Us!" all three said.

"Well, 'Us!', I can't just go around giving information about myself."

"Why not!" the first girl whined.

"I'm only one part of the amazing Madrigals," Moon told them, gesturing to a family tree behind her.

"Then tell us about all of them!" the boy yelled.

"Alright, alright," Moon said, smiling. "Casita, help me out!

"Drawers!

"Floors!

"Doors!

"Let's go!

"This is our home

"We've got every generation

"So full of music

"A rhythm of its own design

"This is my family

"A perfect constellation

"So many stars

"And everybody gets to shine!" Moon sang.

"Whoa, but let's be clear, Madam Lusimine runs this show

"Whoa, she lead us here so many years ago

"Whoa, and every year our family blessings grow

"There's just a lot you've simply got to know, so

"Welcome to the Family Madrigal!" She continued to sing her way out of Casita, and the three kids soon approached her.

"Oh my gosh, it's them!" the first said.

"Where are the Gifts?" the second piped up.

"I can't remember all the Gifts!"

"But I don't know who is who!"

"Alright, alright, relax," Moon said.

"It is physically impossible to relax!"

"Tell us everything! What are your powers?"

"Just tell us what everyone can do!"

"…And that's why coffee's for grown-ups," Moon said, snatching the cup out of the boy's hands.

"My dear Pepa

"Her mood affects the weather," Moon sang, passing Mallow 'Pepa' Madrigal.

"Then there's Bruno—"

"We don't talk about Bruno!" every passing adult suddenly yelped. Moon blinked.

"They say he saw the future

"One day he disappeared," she said in a whisper so only the kids before her could hear.

"Oh, and that's my mum, Julieta, here's her deal

"Whoa, the truth is, she can heal you with a meal," she said, pointing out her mother in the crowd.

"Welcome to the Family Madrigal

"The home of the Family Madrigal—hey, coming through!

"I know it sounds a bit fantastical and magical

"But I'm part of the Family Madrigal!"

"Wait, who's everyone else?"

"There are so many people, you've only told us four!"

"How do you keep them all straight?" the kids asked.

"Okay, okay, okay, okay,

"So many people in our house

"So be sure you listen—I'm not repeating myself!" The kids nodded eagerly.

"Acerola 'Dolores' can hear a pin drop

"Hau 'Camilo' shape shifts

"Harper and Sarah get their Gifts today

"Then there's Isabela and Luisa

"One strong, one graceful

"Perfect in every way…" The truth was, Moon could hardly stand the effortlessly perfect older girl.

"Grows a flower, the town goes wild

"Lillie's a perfect golden child

"And Lana's super strong

"The beauty and the brawn do no wrong!" Moon then finished up and said, "Adios!"

"But what's your Gift?" one of the girls asked.

"Ha," Moon said.

"Well, I got a good life of a Madrigal

"But now you all now the Family Madrigal

"So let's just now review the Family Madrigal

"Let's go!"

"But what about Mirabel?"

"It's starts with Madam

"And then Mallow 'Pepa,' she handles the weather!"

"But what about Mirabel?"

"My mum Julieta can make you feel better with just one arepa!"

"What about Mirabel?"

"My dad Agustin, well

"He's accident-prone, but he means well!"

"What about Mirabel?"

"Hey, you said you wanna know what everyone does

"I got lots of cousins so—"

"Mirabel!"

"My friend Camilo won't stop until he makes you smile today!"

"Mirabel!"

"My cousin Dolores can hear this whole chorus a mile away!"

"Mirabel!"

"Oh, look, it's Mister Mariano

"Hey, you can marry Lillie if youwannabut—"

"Mirabel!"

"Betweenyouandmeshe'skindofaprimadonna

"YoI'vesaidtoomuchandthankyoubutIreallygottago!"

"Mirabel!"

"My family's amazing!"

"Mirabel!"

"And I'm in my family, so—"

"MIRABEL!"

"Well…"

"Mirabel!" Madam Lusimine called from Casita's doorway. "What are you doing?"

"Um… Well, they were asking about the family and—" Moon tried.

"SHE WAS ABOUT TO TELL US ABOUT HER SUPER COOL GIFT!" one girl screamed.

"Oh," Acerola said, her head popping into view. "Moon didn't get one." She then shrugged, made a squeaking noise, and disappeared inside Casita.

The kids looked at Moon.

"You didn't get a Gift?" one said.

"Hey, Moon, I got a special delivery!" a man that was standing over by a Mudbray-pulled cart said, holding out a large basket with decorations hanging out of it. Moon took it from him. "I'd let someone else do it, but you're the only Madrigal who doesn't have a Gift. I call it 'the not-special special!'"

"…Thanks," Moon said, trying to smile.

"If I were you, I'd be really sad," one girl said.

"Well, my little friend, I am not. Because I have an amazing family!" As she spoke, however, Lillie appeared out of one of Casita's windows, Mallow in another.

"Does anyone need anymore roses?" Lillie rang out sweetly, causing flowers to grow up the side of Casita.

"Hey, look, I made a rainbow!" Mallow said happily.

"Maybe your Gift is being in denial," the kid said, and the three of them ran off to play tag.

Maybe you're right, Moon thought, stepping into Casita.

She'd gotten word that Casita had made her a door as soon as she'd opened her eyes on her fifth birthday from Hau, who'd received his shapeshifting Gift a year earlier. She was living in the nursery because her mother already had a Gift. No one was sure if Moon would get a Gift, and she was delighted to hear about it.

But, strangely, when the ceremony came to pass, her door had disappeared right before her eyes. She'd been heartbroken, but because there was a door originally, she would be able to stay in Casita for as long as she wanted.

As Moon entered the house, everyone was running around trying to get the decorations up. Mallow started a strong wind as she ran down the stairs with a look of panic on her face.

"It has to be perfect everyone! More flowers!" she said.

"Calm down!" Hau laughed.

"Did somebody say flowers?" came an annoyingly familiar voice. Lillie dropped from the balcony into the court on a flowering vine, throwing petals a little bit of everywhere.

Moon rolled her eyes before being swatted in the face by Lillie's blonde hair as she flipped it.

"Hey!" Moon said.

"Well, maybe if you weren't trying so hard, you wouldn't be in the way," Lillie told her.

"Unlike you, some people are trying to help get ready for tonight," Moon shot back and strode off towards the kitchen.

She dumped the basket on the bench as her mother pulled something out of the oven.

"Ah, there you are, Moon, I was just about to go looking for you," Julieta said. "When you're finished unpacking that, can you go help everyone prepare for tonight?"

"Sure thing, Mum."

Moon took the last thing out of the basket, watched Casita slide it away, and fixed a smile to her face as she headed back out of the kitchen.

First chapter! Um, I feel like I should of mentioned ages and everything.

The adults don't really need a specific age, I don't think, but Lusimine is going to be nearly fifty I would say, Julieta is quite a young mother same goes for Agustin. Lillie's… eiiiiighteeeen…? Maybe? (How old is Isabela in Encanto?) The guy Lillie's going to be marrying (so young still!) is twenty or so. Moon is nearly seventeen, Mallow's in her late twenties, Hau's seventeen, Acerola's twenty, Lana's nineteen, Harper and Sarah are five (?) and mysterious Bruno person is nineteen.

Mysterious Bruno person not being so mysterious if you've read any of my other stories.

I thiiiiink all those ages work…

Plz review!
