The Time Travel Incident [Chapter 5]

There was deafening silence after the conversation.

'So...Ginny Potter?' Sirius finally broke the stunned silence.

'Well, you all wanted to know who our Mum was and found out. Ginevra Potter née Weasley is our Mum.' James said nonchalantly.

Harry was red in face and was avoiding the pointed stares of the Weasley brothers while Ginny's mouth fell open and her eyes were wide. Stealing a glance at her Harry couldn't help but think she looked extremely cute when she was shocked, before he quickly reprimanded himself for thinking that.

He sneaked another glance at her and this time their eyes met and they stared at each other. Only then Harry realized that her eyes were the same color as melted chocolate and that she was a very pretty girl with a splattering of freckles on her nose which was very cute. Why was he suddenly thinking like this? She was supposed be like a little sister to him who blushed to the roots of her flaming hair at the sight of him. Well she's not so little anymore, is she? an irritating voice in his head pointed out. And she doesn't seem to blush around him anymore. Does that mean she doesn't like him anymore? For some reason Harry felt strangely betrayed at the thought Ginny not liking him anymore and he kind of missed her blush.

He was shaken out of his thoughts by loud clearing of throat. He suddenly whipped his head to look at James who seemed to make that noise.

'Ah, we know you both are madly in love each other. You either are just in denial or being a prat,' James said the last part looking pointedly at Harry who felt his face heat up. 'there is no need for us to look at you both undress each other with your eyes. Thank you.' he finished with a self-satisfied smirk. Now Harry was sure, Ginny was red too, but didn't dare to look afraid her eyes will cast a charm on him again so he kept his head down.

He could hear the twins, Albus, Teddy, Lily, Remus and Sirius snickering while Mrs. Weasley got teary eyed and exclaimed, 'Oh Harry! You were always like a son to us, now you will really be a part of the family!' She then got up from seat and trapped Harry in a bone-crushing hug.

Now he could hear Ginny and Hermione snorting in the most unladylike ways as well. Mrs. Weasley finally let go of him and gave Mr. Weasley a watery smile before resuming her seat.

'As...endearing as this is, I will take my leave now, headmaster.' drawled Snape and swiftly moved out of the room and left house followed by Moody and the headmaster, who smiled warmly at everyone and said goodbyes before leaving.

'So, tell us. What else did our firefly do, other than marrying the freakin' Boy Who Lived?' asked Bill.

'She played professional Quidditch as a Chaser for ten years for the Holyhead Harpies, and was captain in her last five years and took the Harpies to the finals every year. She also played for the England national team and won the Championship 8 times in a row. She's also on the Quidditch Hall of Fame and is considered as one of the most phenomenal players ever. Even Viktor Krum asked her for an autograph. After retiring from Quidditch, she now works for the Department of Mysteries as one of the most youngest Unspeakable.' Said Lily.

'Whoa' was all Ginny muttered but everyone heard it and looked her with fond smiles.

'Wait, Ginny doesn't even know how to fly. We never let her play with us.' Said Ron.

'Well, she's been breaking into your broom shed since she was six and went night flying. She can fly circles around you any day.' Albus replied with a proud smirk on his face.

'You been breaking into the broom shed at night?!' Mrs. Weasley exclaimed. Ginny just shrugged her shoulders nervously and looked around for help.

'Molly she is fine. She's not hurt, is she?' Mr. Weasley soothed his wife while all the Weasley brothers and Harry looked at Ginny in a new light. Hermione, like always looked like she already knew about it.

'Damn, looks like Ginny is full of surprises,' Stated Bill and Harry couldn't agree more. He also realized that he didn't even know the first thing about the mystery called Ginny Weasley. He didn't know she could fly or even liked Quidditch, never knew what she wanted to become in life, didn't know she liked chocolate ice cream which she seemed to be stealing from him in the future. He faintly smiled at the thought but he also scolded himself for being so short sighted and ignoring her. He was terrible friend to her, sure she had a crush on him and couldn't talk around him, but at least he could've tried and bought her out of her shell but he didn't try and that's he felt guilty for. He wasn't there for her after her traumatic first year and neither was Ron from the looks of it. He didn't how she fought with the monster called Voldemort for an year while he tried to possess her. He wouldn't have lasted two days and how she got over the trauma of the Chamber of Secrets was beyond him.

How was it that, he saved Hermione from a troll and instantly they became best-friends but when it came to Ginny, he didn't ever bother to check on her? He vowed to be a better friend to her. His thoughts were interrupted by another loud crash and a loud 'Fuck! This time travel sucks!'
