In the evening the five of the new mission crew, including Rose Weasley, accrued to the mission cabin. Scorpius Malfoy was in a corner of the cabin, pretending like he didn't want anyone's attention. (Rose knew that he always loved attention. At least before his seventh year at school.) Dan Zeller was talking to Scorpius. Zane Davies was checking the file of the mission once again. Emily Carter and Rose were sitting on the couch near the window. Emma was babbling about her new dress design or something. Rose really didn't pay much attention to her. She was distracted by the circumstances there. (Circumstances including Scorpius Malfoy)

Rose couldn't stop glancing at Scorpius from time to time. Once she caught Scorpius's eyes met up with hers, but then he looked away ignorantly.

Sharply at 4 pm, Davies started. "Good evening and first of all, I welcome Mr Malfoy, our new member. I think Mr Malfoy's knowledge on his subject will be very useful in our mission." Scorpius nodded pleasantly. Davies continued. "Within month, there had been five attacks on human. Non of the victims had been saved their lives from the attacks. All the attacks happened in muggle areas, in the night time. No clue had been dropped by the culprit. All the victims had been distroyed totally like someone had feed on them." He looked at Scorpius seriously. And he passed the photos of the attacks. Scorpius examined them carefully. He returned the same serious glance to Davies.

"Are they all muggles? Do they have any connection with muggles?" He asked pointing Davies. Davies looked at Rose. Rose was the one who searched the history and background of the victims.

Then Rose started to speak. "Three of them were muggles. And the other two were wizards. The two wizards were going somewhere and spent a night on a muggle lodge. Both of them were attacked on their beds. From the muggles, one muggle was guarding a construction site at the night time. He was murdered on his chair outside his cabin. The other man was a muggle begger and was attacked on his digging beside a small, dark, shadowy pathway. The last one was a woman, and she was sleeping on her bedroom and in the morning her family had found she was died and her body was destroyed terribly." She continued. "The woman's house was very well locked and no evidence about someone coming in or going out her home at the night. So, this became more suspicious for muggles. They are suspecting her family. But it's impossible." She breathed. "Non of the wizards had enemies nor the woman. I have no idea about the begger, he didn't actually had friends, but it seems the guard man had few. But they can't do this without leaving evidence."

Scorpius was staring at her seriously. Zeller spoke. "What do you think about this Malfoy?"

"This is obviously an attack of a very dangerous magical creature most probably. There are few suspicious species, but I know all of the clues prove that this must be the same, very dangerous creature, who is not very common."

"May be basilisk?" Emma question.

"There is a chance!" Scorpius said.

"Werewolf?" Davies asked curiously.

Scorpius winced. "Yes, good guess." He said hoarsely.

Emma raised her eyebrows. "I don't like that." She mumbled. "A werewolf wondering freely all around the country! No way. How can we deal with it?"

Davies nodded. "Yeah, Department for the regulation and control of magical creatures should responsible for this. They still let the werewolves to live freely just like other wizards. They never saw the danger of that." He said disapprovingly.

Rose's anger felt bubbling inside. "You can't say that." She objected. "Werewolves are not that bad. They didn't choose that. What happen," she asked evily. "if random werewolf bite you and you become a werewolf Davies?"

Davies looked at Rose hopelessly. "Come on Weasley, that's why we should ban them. To not letting them to bite some random person who is peacefully wondering on the streets."

"Werewolves can control themselves even after their transformation by wolfsbane potion. They are totally harmless." She glanced at Scorpius who was now seemed embarrassed. "You!" She shouted. "Scorpius Malfoy, the magizoologist!" She said sarcastically. "Do you even have the basic knowledge about werewolves?" She clenched her fist and continued. "So, how can you accuse innocent people who become werewolves in the full moon even without their sanction? Can you even imagine what is their pain?"

Scorpius gulped. "You misunderstood me Weasley." He replied in hoarse voice. "I do not blame them. I just say that it is possible. That's all. We have to reveal the truth with our further investigations." He looked at Rose knowingly. "Until that, we have to make our guesses. Shouldn't we?"

Rose frowned and remained silently until the end of the session. The others discussed about their mission and investigation, but Rose just nodded and didn't add anything more.

After the meeting she heard Scorpius. "Weasley, can you stay for a while. Need to talk to you."

Rose shocked. What does he need to talk with her?

After everyone went away, (Finally Emma left muttering good luck and winking!), Rose turned to Scorpius.

"What do you need to discuss personally Malfoy?" She frowned and asked.

"Look Weasley, I know about your family background. About your cousin-in-law and his father. So I-" As Scorpius started to talk Rose interrupted him.

"Oh, I see." She said angrily. "Do you want to talk about why I support werewolves? Don't you? What else Malfoy? Are you suspecting my cousin-in-law? Is that what you need to discuss?"

"I'm not saying that Weasley." Scorpius said irritated voice. "Please, first listen to me. Would you?"

Rose didn't answer, but glaced at Scorpius with burning face and flaming eyes.

Scorpius continued after a little pause. "I know about werewolves. They are just people like us. I know it Weasley. I know it better than you. I am a magizoologist. I have my experience on them than you do. Have you even ever seen a one before?"

Rose shook her head merely.

Scorpius started. "The matter in this case is, we should not take a chance. I know most of werewolves are innocent. But what about the werewolves who are really killing people and trying to make their community larger by biting other innocent people? Have you ever thought about it?"

Rose's anger faded away slowly. "They all were killed. Weren't they?" She muttered. "After the second wizarding war the last werewolf gang had been sent to Azkaban, and they died there."

"That's what the books say." Scorpius said contemptuously. "But there are more of them, even in our country. I have seen them Weasley. So you can't deny that."

Rose looked at him horror stricken.

Scorpius started to talk again in a soft voice. "I was just doing my job Weasley. We need to give our attention to this mission more than our private lives in this situation. Our responsibility is to protect the community, both muggle and wizard." He paused. "So I think our personal opinions should not interrupt our decision and all. And also..." He looked nervous at Rose. "What I need to tell is.." He stammered. "Well, Weasley. I know we don't have a good history. I know it is hard to work together with them on our head. But in this time..." He sighed. "We need to work together for our world. I don't ask you to forget or forgive everything I did to you. But I think it will be better if we act casual. Like old friends." Scorpius looked at Rose nervously.

Rose was speechless and still was finding words to answer him. "We'll try then." Finally she managed to say.

Scorpius slightly smirked.

Rose carried his strength and pulled it to her legs to move. And she went away sooner as possible, cursing her nerves.
