Not totally sure but just in case: Minor spoilers for the end of Demon Slayer.

'Wait…who is that...?' Tenma mused as he stopped jogging, having noticed a girl on the opposite side of the stream near a curious plum tree everyone's been told to keep their distance from.

He paused and watched her for a moment, coming to the conclusion she must be visiting in town or new.

He saw that she eventually took a step closer to it and continued incredulously in thought, 'Is she for real?!'

Remembering the rumors that surrounded that particular tree, he unconsciously ran closer to where she was and shouted his warning from his side of the stream. "Oi! I wouldn't get any closer to that tree unless you wanna get cursed!"

The girl flinched and stopped, gazing at the tree silently for a while before giving her response.

"Sorry I didn't realize, but it didn't seem cursed to me so I thought I'd take a closer look," she said without turning around. "I couldn't ignore the…strange sense of familiarity I felt when I looked at it just now."

As she finished she turned to look at him for an answer and some unusual feeling washed over the white haired teen.

He was sure that he had never seen her before and yet that straight ashy brown hair and those brownish plum colored eyes of hers struck a chord deep within him that he couldn't explain.

'Just who is this girl…?' Tenma thought incredulously. 'And what is with this bizarre sense of deja vu?!'

He was so lost in thought that he didn't notice her cross over the stream or hear her question. When he did realize she was closer he flinched and took a step back, unconsciously uttering a, "Wh-?"

"I was asking why you're saying the tree is cursed." The brunette stated with a slightly curious tone.

Now that the initial shock had worn off, the white haired teen reverted back to his usual somewhat cold and distant self when answering.

"Well number one, there's someone buried there," he explained bluntly. "And then there's the rumors going around that they must've been cursed to their afterlife because some portion of it is always more vibrant and red than the rest of it. If something is that blood red then it's usually a bad omen so I'd stay away from it if I were you."

She looked and sure enough the branches that were directly above the aforementioned grave were more vibrant than the other branches exactly as he'd said.

"Wow, it really is!" The girl exclaimed in wonder and awe before continuing with a somewhat believable argument. "But the flowers seem more like a blessing than a curse. Plum blossoms actually symbolize vitality, hope, and renewal. Therefore, whoever planted the tree must have had hopes for the person buried - that they may have a long and fulfilling new life."

'Or it could've been just pure coincidence…' Tenma couldn't help but think instantly in response.

"Oh sorry. We've been talking this whole time and I haven't even introduced myself." the brunette suddenly announced, waking him from his thoughts. She then faced him straight on and continued, "I'm Furukawa Umeka, and I just moved here."

SPOILER: For those of you who are lost as to who Tenma is, he's Tengen's reincarnation and Umeko is Fuyume's.

I just want to say thank you to the favorites, follows, and reviews for this story. It was difficult especially after reading Demon Slayer in its entirety before I had written chapter 6, but I wanted to see it to its end in this way.

If you're interested in what else I have to offer Demon Slayer wise, I have written More than Meets the Eye: Alternate which follows Fuyume if she decided not to risk her life and didn't die in facing Kamereon. I haven't posted it yet but now I'm working on Second Chances which follows Tenma and Umeka after this epilogue here. You can find both in my profile along with other stories that my catch your interest.

Thanks again!
