Summary:
They weren't kissing!
"Busy day?"
"Mm-mm, no more than usual!" Takato aired out the bottom of a plastic bag for Jian's purchases. "Why?"
"I assumed since your mom and dad have you working the cash register, their hands are tied with the baking."
"You'd think so, wouldn't you? It's really my punishment for Guilmon getting into the chicken pie!" Takato vented as he counted Jian's items. "Boy, this is a lot of chocolate cornets! What're they all for?"
"Winter-cleaning in time for Chinese New Year. Chocolate is the only reliable bargaining tool my parents have that can persuade Shaochung to clean her room."
"Can't Lopmon help?"
"Lopmon?"
"Yeah, with Lopmon's help, your sister could clean her room twice as fast!"
Chocolate cornets and Terriermon's "chocolate-flavoured me." This would be the first Chinese New Year Shaochung had a Digimon of her own around to give her an assist!
"Good idea, Takato-kun."
"Aww, I thought you came to keep me company while I'm under house arrest! You're really just here to buy your sister's cooperation!
"I can't do both?" Jian laughed. "At least the bread you don't sell doesn't go to waste."
"That's true! We'd throw it out if Guilmon didn't eat what's left! Guilmon's also great for repelling the rats, you know? When he's not charbroiling them!"
"Don't let the other customers hear you say that."
"Oh! Right!" Takato facepalmed his mouth.
"Ah, Lee-kun!" Takato's mom appeared.
"Obasan! Good evening!"
"Good evening, Lee-kun." Yoshie was drying her hands. "For the family?"
"Yes, they're for Shaochung."
Yoshie nodded. "Takato, remember we sell food. If you and Lee-kun have to kiss, don't do it inside the store, please."
Takato blushed. "Okaasan! We weren't kissing!"
Jian snickered, gathering up his bag.
"Thank you for coming!" Takato yelled unnecessarily loud.
