A/N

I do not own these characters or the show.

I have decided to do a double episode for the next one. It'll still be a one shot but the next one will flow from this 1. This is for BrittanyLS. There are 2 episodes that show Lisa's return to sell Fairfield and the road trip to sell Cinders. This is centered around JISA. The flashbacks. The hidden glimpse of the emotions they both feel and reflect on. Lets get right into it.

It had been a long time since Jack and Lisa had seen each other. It had been months since she took possession of the new house in Toulon. She initially wanted to buy it because that's the house that Jack liked. Although every bit of the house remined her of him. What he would have done? What he loved about this house? She knew she had to buy it. Although separated she needed him here with her and this was the closest she could get. However she knew she could never return to Hudson to live. She wanted to. She wanted to so bad but how was she supposed to go on living in Hudson at Fairfield when her heart was broken. The man she loved, the man she longed for, the man she wished would just call her. He lived in Hudson and Lisa knew that she couldn't be that close and not be with him. Deciding to sell Fairfield was the biggest and hardest decision she's had to make. Well aside from deciding to take a break and walk away from the man she loved. She wasn't sure which hurt her more.

Heading back to Hudson one goal in mind. Sell Fairfield she told herself. Just get in there prepare to sell and get the hell out. Avoid everyone and just do what you came here to do.

However she needed to check her mail so stopped on the side of the road where all the mailboxes are. She hadn't thought much about it until someone spots the oh so familiar car and pulls over. She knows exactly who it is, she could feel his presence, always could.

"Hi Lisa" Jack says getting out of the truck "Hi" she replies turning and stepping closer to him "you look great a lot better than the last time I seen you" "I thought you were in France" I was, I was but I'm here now" she laughs nervously "I see that. How long you been here" "argh few days, week I guess" "is that right" Lisa cuts him off. This meeting on the side of the road like this is awkward so she blurts it out "I'm selling my place, lock, stock and barrel. Property and horses everything must go" At the sound of this Jacks heart breaks and he goes into defensive mode. Fighting fire with fire. She's hurting him an he fires back "That was always the plan, wasn't it?" Lisa sighs hurt but "Yeah, yeah I guess it was" that statement hurt her. She didn't want to sell. She just wanted him. She couldn't take it anymore and she said she had so much to do bidding her farewell with a "so nice to see you" and turned around with tears welling in her eyes. And left him standing there looking after her.

Lisa had gone on a ride up to lookout point but from the storm the night before and being down near the river, it had spooked Cinders. As Lisa lay in the field. She knew Amy was the best person the help but it was hard to wanna get her involved. She loved Amy like she was her own granddaughter but she didn't wanna put Jack through anymore pain. She needed Amy to help Cinders then she could sell him and be on her way.

Jack however thought he was making his way to lookout point to meet with Tim's friend who was selling cattle until he seen Lisa approaching in the distance on her horse. The conversation here was worst than the first by the mailboxes. She thought he was disappointed because it wasn't about the cattle but truth be told, he was happy to see her. He just was disappointed that his family kept secrets from him. That's the hardest part. She had taken one look back at him and pain was reflected in her once blue eyes. She was gone before he could do or say anything.

Jack sat in the lounge at home after Amy had said her piece, given him advice he did not want or ask for. He couldn't help but think that maybe she was right. Maybe this truly was his last time to talk to Lisa. With that in mind he called her and invited her for coffee.

Getting everything ready. Jack smiles when she knocks on the door. "yeah come in Lis" he calls out. He wanted to impress her. Not with the coffee or the cake but with the feeling of being home surrounded by family. Her God daughter. They stood in the doorway Jack taking her coat, but his arms linger and squeeze her shoulders and as he apologizes for what seemed to be disappointed with the no cattle. He explained why the disappointment and how it had nothing to do with seeing her that morning.

Hearing Katie cry though Lisa was just dying to see, hug and hold her God daughter. She loved this little girl with all her heart. Letting Peter know what she believes is the reason. Admitting that she knows how it feels to miss someone so much it colours everything you do. She glances at Jack and he offers a small smile.

Heading out to her car, they both knew this was not what either hoped would happen today. So instead of someone else taking Cinders. They decided they would drive down in hopes that the car ride would help sort some stuff out for them.

Stay tuned for the next part
